Kenny's POV:

Oceanstar looked at all of us with stern green-blue eyes. "You all just left after the Gathering. Are you crazy? We all need to stay with each other! And walk back with each other?!"
Plumpcrash rolled his brown eyes, "It was all Shystep's fault anyways."
I flashed a glare at him and the leader stomped up to me.
"You were the cause of this?"
I shook my head quickly, making my ears flop around. "No..He's blaming things on me again..." My voice came out as a whisper.
She scoffed and growled lightly. "If you are going to act like an apprentice, then you should work like one! Clean the ticks of the other warriors."
The brown, fat cat laughed and waved his tail in the air. "Clean me first, Shysterp~!"
I cocked my head, wondering why he always made everyone's name sound stupid as the Dark Forest. Really?

Finally done..

I was finished removing ticks from the older warriors. It was disgusting. The taste of the bile was still on my tongue and I wanted to throw up.
I'm always treated like a kit here. Maybe if I disguise myself and become a totally different cat that everyone likes..And I have a perfect idea..
I walked out of the camp when the moon was in the sky so no cat could see me. I padded off until trees covered me everywhere. Crouching, I rolled around in a puddle of mud. The texture was blackish and it spelled of cars. Monsters I mean.
Until I was covered to ears to tail, I looked into a stream. The reflection looked like a totally different cat. The black mud reflected the color of grass onto my eyes somehow that now they were green. Of course my fur still stood out, but not as much as before. I stuck a claw out a traced a question mark on my chest. It dripped a bit but then finally stopped and stuck there. "Perfect.." I said quietly to myself. Now. I need a new name.. Mysteri-cat! Protector of cats and hider in the shadows.
I was pretty proud. I felt like a super hero, in fact!

"Help!" A young tom-cat's voice mewed out loudly.
Grasstail..!
I ran quickly, my tail streaming behind me. He was somehow dangling from a tree.
"Grass-" I coughed. Talking in a deep voice. "Young cat in peril, how did this happen?"
Grasstail gasped, holding by his claws. It was obvious he was losing his grip.
"This dumbass I know bet me to climb a tree.. I thought I could but I then I got paralyzed by fear halfway up! Now I'm stuck on a loose branch! Just hurry, help!"
I put a paw on the tree and dug my claws into it. "Here I come!" But as soon as I stuck my other paw in, I heard running footsteps.
Huff huff. "Hold on!" Plumpcrash lept into the air and stuck to the tree. No cat saw him leap that high in a long time unless there was food in a high branch.
The ginger cat was surprised too. "Plumpcrash? I didn't expect you to come back and help me.." He said it, shocked.
"Don't think I-I erm. Like you or anything."
But he was mine first! I hissed and climbed faster.
The tabby turned at my hiss and growled. "Who the Dark Forest are you?! Shoo! He's mine!"
"But I was here first!" We climbed higher, both of us neck to neck. I reached for Grasstail, getting him down first.
Plumpcrash scoffed and flattened his ears. "I-I didn't want to save him anyways..." His voice sounded sad and he ran off, his tail dragging across the ground.
Did I hurt his feelings?.. He'll get over it right?
Grasstail licked my cheek, making some black come off. He tried not to show it tasted bad. "Thank you so much!"
Why did I feel so awful about saving him?
