(In DC Near the Smithsonian)

"I am right on time. The person I am suppose to meeting should be here shortly." said Andrew to himself.

He then walks into the Smithsonian. He walks over to the Dragon statue. This statue marks the beginning of the Pokemon area of the Smithsonian. A few minutes later a guy in a purple shirt and a lab coat with brown hair walks over to the same statue.

"What is it exactly?" asked the guy.

"I do not know its been here longer then I have." said Andrew.

"If I had to guess it is an ancestor of a Dragonite." said the guy.

"I can see that too." said Andrew.

"Yeah look at the horn on his head. If you look at a Dragonite it will have the same feature." said the guy.

"Beside that you must be Gary Oak." said Andrew.

"And you must be Andrew Hanson." said Gary.

"That would be true." said Andrew.

"Then lets not waste anymore time with small talk then." said Gary.

"The orbs are safe if you are asking." said Andrew.

"That's not the only reason why I am here." said Gary.

"Then why?" asked Andrew.

"Well Japan is experiencing a Torrent of rain." said Gary.

"Let me guess your Champion thinks it's Kyorge. Kyorge has been asleep for hundreds of thousands of years now. I do not understand how it could be Kyorge." said Andrew.

"My Grandfather told him that it could be a change in currents. My idea it involves the Legendary pokemon known as Lugia." said Gary.

"That could be true." said Andrew.

"I think so because from what I know it is said that if Lugia flaps his wings it could cause a 40 day storm." said Gary.

"How many days have been?" asked Andrew.

"It started about two weeks ago." said Gary.

"I always thought that if Lugia is seen then a storm starts." said Andrew.

"That is true." said Gary.

"Did any of you check the Serve Weather Station. It is near Kuji." said Andrew.

"We wish we could the whole station is now under water." said Gary.

"That could make things difficult." said Andrew.

"Yeah it does." said Gary.

"Well we could check the one here in DC." said Andrew.

"Them what are still doing here. Lets go." said Gary.

"Ok its about a 10 minute walk from here. Once we get there we can check things." said Andrew.

After walking about 10 minutes they make it to the Station. They walk in and up to the lady working the front desk.

"Hi I am looking for Eric the Chief Meteorologist?" asked Andrew.

"Let me call him and see if he is busy and who is this I am talking to?" asked the lady.

"Its Andrew Hanson." said Andrew.

"Ok so this is important then. I will tell to meet with you right now." said the lady.

The lady pages him and talks to him. He tells her to send Andrew and Gary to his office so they can talk.

"His office is up the stairs first door on the right. He has his name on the door you cannot miss it." said the lady.

"Thank you." said Andrew leaving.

They followed the lady's instructions and made it to Eric's office.

"Lets get right to it. I have the maps we can look at on the desk." said Eric.

Andrew and Gary walk over to were Eric had all the maps layed out. They each examined them very closely.

"This map we see first is a month before the storm that is over Japan." said Eric.

"It does not look any different from the one next to it from a year ago." said Gary.

"Thats the point I am making we did not see any changes till just recently." said Eric.

"What does that mean?" asked Andrew.

"Rather then explaining it lets look at the map from the last week." said Eric.

The three look closely at the map.

"It appears this storm begun far off in the Pacific." said Eric looking at the map.

"That storm appears to be rather large." said Andrew.

"How does a storm that large appear like it did?" asked Gary.

"We are still waiting on the data from the ship that was on its way to Japan to give us the readings we need that we usually get from the station there but since it flooded it has made it hard to gather data." said Eric.

"With that data will we have our answer?" asked Gary.

"Yes." said Eric.

"When and where did that ship leave from?" asked Andrew.

"It left about a week ago from Hawaii. We did get a notification that it did make it to Japan safely but that was the last we heard from that ship." said Eric.

"When did you get the notification?" asked Andrew.

"About 4 days ago." said Eric.

"So it has been about three days since the ship reported in." said Andrew.

"Yes it has." said Eric.

"Gary does your Champion know about that ship coming in?" asked Andrew.

"Not of my knowledge. He told me nothing about it." said Gary.

"I thing it might be time we head to Japan." said Andrew.

"You sure you want to leave your region to head to another?" asked Gary.

"Yeah I am confident that my elite four can handle the region till I get back." said Andrew.

"Ok I will then let Ash know that you are coming back with me to Japan then." said Gary.

"Ok. While I am there we are going to go check up on that ship." said Andrew.

"That's fine. If the ship is lost or something even worse has happened we could get that data from it." said Gary.

"So Eric what are we looking for when we get to that ship?" asked Andrew.

"Well you would be looking for the command center. It would hold all the data we are looking for." said Eric.

"Ok we will get that then and send it right to you." said Andrew.

"Ok I look forward to when I get that data." said Eric.

"We will see you later." said Andrew as Gary and him leave.

(Outside the Station)

"Gary go ahead and call your Champion and let him know we will leave tomorrow to Japan. I would expect to meet with him as soon as I can." said Andrew.

"Thats fine I will call him when I get to my hotel." said Gary.

"I will call a taxi for you. That will take you to your hotel." said Andrew.

"What about you?" asked Gary.

"From here I will go back to the Pokemon League and meet with Jennifer. Then from there I will meet with my elite four work everything out then go pack up." said Andrew as the taxi pulled up.

"I will then meet you at the airport tomorrow." said Gary getting in the taxi.

"Yeah we will." said Andrew as the taxi pulled away.

Andrew also takes a taxi back to the Pokemon League. And when he got there he walked into the building that was still under construction. Andrew walked over to the offices where Jennifer and Melissa were waiting for Andrew to get there.

"Andrew we need talk." said Jennifer.

"Ok and let me guess Melissa you want to get back to work right now." said Andrew.

"Jennifer you will go first let me get set up in my office." said Andrew.

Andrew walks into a room next to the entrance and sits down in a seat in front of a computer. A few moments later Jennifer walks in and sits down to.

"Whats up Jennifer?" asked Andrew.

"It is good that your back. Andrew the offices we are in know are finished they will be done with the arena by next week so we can begin taking battles again." said Jennifer.

"That's always good." said Andrew.

"How did the meeting went with Gary Oak?" asked Jennifer.

"It went well. I am leaving with him tomorrow to Japan." said Andrew.

"You are" said Jennifer.

"Yeah the problem there is more troubling then it appears." said Andrew.

"What about the Pokemon League?" asked Jennifer.

"Its fine we only get about ten challenges a year I know my elite four can handle everything here." said Andrew.

"Then why not send one of your elite four there?" asked Jennifer.

"We have some of our own scientist in trouble." said Andrew.

"I still do not think you should go but knowing you. You will go anyway." said Jennifer.

"You are right." said Andrew laughing.

"I will tell the other three elite four members to come here then." said Jennifer leaving.

"Thank you. Would you also send in Melissa." said Andrew.

"Hey Andrew." said Melissa walking in.

"What brings you here?" asked Andrew.

"Well I was thinking as long as I you are cool with it I would like to start training again?" asked Melissa.

"As long as your doctor says it is ok I am cool with it. Just keep it to a minimum since you are still nursing a broken arm." said Andrew.

"Ok. Also I overheard that you are going to Japan. How long will you be gone?" asked Melissa.

"How about we wait for the others to get here before I explain everything." said Andrew.

So they wait about 30 minutes before the other three who have been training most of the day to get ready for the League to open up again. They each walk into the Pokemon League and then into Andrew's Office.

"Hey we got the call." said Marc.

"Now that all of you are here I would like to tell you all that tomorrow I am leaving to Japan for about two weeks. While I am gone I need you four to watch over the region. If there are any problems just call me I will get back here as soon as I can. The reason why I am going is that the storm Japan is experiencing is worse then we thought. And we also lost when of the US ships that was there has not reported in for three days so they fear the worse. I think it is in our best interest to find that ship." said Andrew.

"Thats fine we will watch over the region. You can trust us." said Marc.

"I would expect so. You all can go back to what you are doing. I am going to pack up here then I will head to the hotel and pack up there." said Andrew.

The four elite four walk out of the office and returned to the training area behind the Pokemon League. Andrew packed up his backpack and left the Pokemon League. He returned to his hotel packed up what he need there and just watched some TV. All that was on was people talking about the Pokemon Contest that happens tomorrow.

(Hours Later)

Andrew received a phone call from Tom.

"Hey Tom you got anything for me?" asked Andrew

"Yeah after examining everything you sent me. I have found that the lights released a large amount of electromagnetism. That is what caused the power outage. After examining more I also found that it may have also caused the outage all over north Tennessee." said Tom.

"So what about the date?" asked Andrew.

"I am still looking up that info you have to give me a couple more days I will find something." said Tom.

"Thats fine Tom. I did not expect you to have all the information yet it has only been about 12 hours." said Andrew.

"I will call you back when I get something." said Tom.

"Ok thanks." said Andrew hanging up.

After getting off the phone with Tom he decided to make another phone to his friend Katie and tell her about what Tom told him. He calls her.

"Hey Andrew glad hear from you." said Katie.

"I just got a call from Tom he shared some of the info he gathered." said Andrew.

"What did he tell you?" asked Katie.

"He did say the cause of the outage was the lights releasing electromagnetism. Not only did it cause an outage there it also caused an outage but all over north Tennessee." said Andrew.

"So it was more widespread." said Katie.

"The outage was, but I am not sure about the light show." said Andrew

"What about the date?" asked Katie.

"That he did not tell me. So how did your gym battle go?" asked Andrew.

"It went well. We all one our third gym badge and now heading to New Orleans." said Katie.

"I also want to tell you I will be in Japan for about two weeks. So I will not seen any of you." said Andrew.

"Make it back safe and we will see you later." said Katie hanging up.

"Well I better get some sleep. I have another long day tomorrow." said Andrew to himself.

He layed down on the bed and fell asleep. Their were bags around the room full of items he is taking.

(Brady, Emma, and Katie in Nashville)

"Katie why did you run off?" asked Emma.

"I got a phone call." said Katie.

"Who was it?" asked Emma.

"It was Andrew he was telling me about the lights." said Katie.

"If you two are done talking lets get back to the Pokemon Center and get some sleep. We have a long day tomorrow. I want to catch some of the Contest and then start getting to New Orleans." said Brady.

"Hurry then lets get back." said Emma.

They walked back to the Pokemon Center. As soon as they got there Katie layed down on her bed and fell asleep. While Brady and Emma sat in the front of the center.

"I am picking up something that there is more between Andrew and Katie then either are letting on." said Emma.

"I do not know what to think about that. He did save her from falling off a cliff earlier." said Brady.

"I guess we should keep an eye on them." said Emma standing up and going to the beds.

Brady followed her five minutes later to his bed and they all were asleep within that hour.

(The Next in DC)

The alarm goes off at 4:30 am in Andrew's hotel room. He wakes up and walks into the bathroom. He takes a shower. Once out he gets dressed and gathers his things and leaves for the airport. To meet up with Gary so they can leave today. 20 minutes after leaving from the hotel he makes it to the airport where Gary was waiting for him with the pilot that took him to the states.

"You ready to go Andrew?" asked Gary.

"Yeah I am." said Andrew.

"We will be in Japan in two days with one stop in Germany to fuel up." said Gary.

"We will get there when we do." said Andrew.

"When we do Ash and his girlfriend Misty will meet us at the airport." said Gary.

"Then they are expecting us." said Andrew loading up his luggage.

"They will be there along with Professor Oak too." said Gary as he boarded the plane.

Right after he did so did Andrew along with a couple Meteorologist to help project the storm.

The plane takes off minutes after everyone boarded and left towards Japan.

The next chapter will mainly focus on the Contest so be ready for that. This chapter is mainly focused on giving some info out. I thought I would tell you all the anime characters I refer to are older then in the anime.

Gary Oak: 18
Ash Ketchum: 18
Misty: 18
Dawn: 17
May: 17
Max: 15
Brock: 21
Iris: 17
Cilan: 21

Ok the ages for the anime characters are above. Now onto some other notes I end up picking Gary for some reasons. I will skip over the whole plane ride and in a couple chapters I will bring this up again.

So What do you thing is causing this storm in Japan? I would like to hear some thoughts about it and if you agree with Gary's theory.
