In case you missed the rules from chapter 23 here they are again:
The Contest Rules are as follows:
1. Coordinators may enter different Pokémon for each round.
2. A Contest can either be both single or Double.
3. You dress for the occasion or not it does not really matter.
4. Scores will be from 3 being the lowest and 30 the highest.
5. Each Judge can award a Coordinator up to 10 points.
6. The battles will go on for 5 minutes the winner is determined by how much percent of the pokemon is left.
Example: Glaceon (69%) Magmar (70%) Winner Magmar.
(Outside the Contest Stadium )
"Brady how long are we going to be here?" asked Emma.
"I am not sure yet when we will leave. If the Contest does not last all day we might stay for the whole thing." said Brady.
"That sounds good." said Emma.
"Where did Katie wonder off too know?" asked Brady.
"She went to go hang out with Ally." said Emma.
They walk over to were Ally was preparing for the contest. Ally was with Katie and Gabby working on the details of the first round with her new pokemon.
"Hey you two." said Gabby calling over Brady and Emma.
"Are you two ready?" asked Emma towards Ally and Gabby.
"I am." said Ally.
"I know I am." said Gabby.
"I hate to interrupt but what is with the big crowd over there?" asked Brady pointing towards a group circling around an arena
"Oh that is last years Grand Festival winner Hayley Varga. I think she is participating today and thats why she is here." said Ally.
"She must be the favorite then." said Emma.
"Actually she is not. She has not participated in a Contest in about 8 months. The two favorites are Jenna DiMartin the hometown girl or Cat. They both have 2 ribbons. Each of them are eyeing their third putting them past the halfway mark they need." said Ally.
Ally and Katie walk over the crowd of people. They were looking at Hayley practicing with her Jolteon and her Mandibuzz.
"She is good." said Ally as they watched.
"This is going to be one tough Contest." said Katie.
"I know what you mean. You have her, Jenna and then Cat of course." said Ally.
"Are you ready for all of them?" asked Katie.
"Yeah I hope so. Even if I do not win this one there is always the next one. I do not care what it takes I will make it to the Grand Festival." said Ally.
Hayley returns both pokemon and starts walking towards the Stadium to get herself ready for the Contest.
"Well we better head back to everyone." said Ally.
"Yeah we should." said Katie.
They walked back to the arena where Gabby was practicing with help from Emma.
"We are back." said Ally.
"Good we better head inside and get ready for it." said Gabby.
"Yeah it looks like most of the Coordinators are heading in to the locker room area." said Ally.
"We will see you after the Contest. We wish you good luck." said Katie as Gabby and Ally left.
"Lets go inside and find a seat then." said Brady.
(Inside the Stadium)
The three find a seat next to a couple of spectators as the MC walks out to the middle of the arena.
"Good Morning I am Bailey Underwood and I am your MC today and lets get right to it. With out further ado let me introduce the judges. Starting from the left that is the President of Poke. Tech. Vance Walker. Then one in the middle is Pokemon Fan Club President Ms. Emily Hart, and the guest judge of today is a former Grand Festival Winner I would like to welcome Ms. Ericka Markks. We are now going to here a few words from our judges." said Bailey.
"It is a pleasure to be here and I am ready to see each pokemon in action." said Vance.
"This is going to be really good and glad to be here." said Emily.
"I fell just as excited as the Coordinators are to get this under way." said Ericka.
"Ok thank you three for those comments lets now get underway. We will begin with Jose from Jefferson City, Missouri." said Bailey.
(The Contest)
"I will go with Wooper" said Jose.
He tosses his pokeball into the air and when he does this little blue pokemon pops out of the ball and flips then lands.
"Wooper use mud sport." said Jose.
Wooper's body was completly covered in mud.
"Now Wooper use yawn." said Jose.
Wooper opened his mouth and took in some air and released and when he did it came out of his mouth in the form of little mud clouds. Those clouds reached the ceiling and then popped. After it popped little spots of mud hit the ground.
"This was a great start to a great contest." said Vance.
"I agree with that." said Emily.
"It was lacking in color and it did not have the same pop as it looked in my eyes." said Ericka.
"Will the judges give us his score?" asked Bailey.

" Our next Coordinator up is Kyle from Norfolk, Virginia." said Bailey.
"Time to go with Skarmory." said Kyle.
In front of Kyle is this big metallic bird. His bird's head turn to look at his trainer. It looked ready to follow Kyle's instructions.
"Skarmory start with shooting spikes into the air." said Kyle.
Skarmory let out a yell as it shot out spikes from his back. The spikes were shot high into the air.
"Skarmory now use air slash to cut through all of them." said Kyle.
As the spikes begun to fall towards the ground the metallic bird lifts off the ground and into the air. It flapped its wings to make the pockets of air as sharp as nails went towards the spikes. Air slash cut right through the spikes. The spikes now look like pins and as they hit the ground it formed what looks like the face Skarmory.
"A nice design from and the outcome was impressive." said Vance.
"The outcome reflect how nice and cool the bird pokemon is." said Emily.
"A creative way of using your pokemon. It lacks color and the small details can be perfected but otherwise still good." said Ericka.
"Will the judges give him his score." said Bailey.

"Now for the next Coordinator. It is Ania she is from Anchorage, AL." said Bailey.
"Go Glaceon." said Ania.
This fresh snow pokemon is in the center of the arena.
"Glaceon use ice shard and nail the ground with them." said Ania.
Glaceon shot out these clear frozen shards of ice all around her. They stuck into the ground.
"Glaceon now use hail." said Ania.
It became cloudy and then it started to snow. Her Glaceon begun to pick up speed with her ability snow cloak.
"Glaceon now use shadow claw to smash the shards." said Ania.
Glaceon ran smashing all the shards as the shards shattered it showed a rainbow of color around Glaceon. After the clouds cleared up it was seen that Glaceon was standing around a rainbow of color left on the ground by the shards.
"Amazing sight. the only problem is before the hail we could see that the ice shards starting melting leaving water." said Vance.
"A thoughtful design but again not all the shards were shattered and then they melted leaving a puddle of water." said Emily.
"It was flawed from the beginning trying to use an attack that would melt if not quickly cooled. I have seen better." said Ericka.

"The next Coordinator is Ally Richards from Boston MA." said Bailey.
"Take center stage Forretress." said Ally.
Forretress appears in the center of the ring after being called out from her pokeball.
"Forretress use gyro ball." said Ally.
Forretress starts spinning and ball of steel appears on her head. She shoots it into the air.
"Forretress now catch the gyro ball on your head while still spinning." said Ally.
The gyro ball lands on Forretress' head the ball is now spinning on her head.
"Now Forretress use magnet rise." said Ally.
Forretress draws electricity from the ground and begins to levitate off the ground. While in the air Forretress looks like a UFO.
"Nice job Forretress."whispered Ally has Forretress lands on the ground.
"What a sight it is the common prescription of what most think of a UFO." said Vance.
"I did not know if that was a pokemon or a UFO. Simply amazing and elegant." said Emily.
"It is by far the best one right now." said Ericka.

"That was my best first round score." said Ally to Gabby.
"Your going to be hard to beat." said Gabby.
"Gabby your next." said Ally.
Gabby walks out of the locker room and awaits for the MC to answer her name.
"That looked really cool." said Hayley walking over to Ally.
"Thanks." said Ally looking confused.
" Why are you confused I know a good Coordinator when I see one and I will complement you on something I thing needs to be complemented." said Hayley walking away.
Ally returns to her bench in front of her locker.
(Back to the Contest)
"Up next also from Boston is Gabby Hughes." said Bailey.
"Grovyle go." said Gabby.
Her Grovyle stood in front of her ready to go.
"Grovyle use energy ball and shoot in to the air." said Gabby.
Grovyle shot out one ball of green energy towards the roof. He then got ready to jump. Grovyle knew exactly what was coming next.
"Grovyle now jump and use leaf blade and slice the energy ball in half." said Gabby.
Grovyle jump up going for the energy ball. Grovyle's leafs on his arm turned green and then to sharp blades. He went for the energy ball but he missed. The energy ball hits the ground and explodes causing a small carter. Grovyle also fell and hits the ground hard on his back. Gabby looks shocked and sad to see that happen since she has been practicing this one trick for a bit. Grovyle stands up and walks over to Gabby with a sorry look on his face.
"Grovyle you tried you have nothing to be sorry for." said Gabby patting her Grovyle on the head.
"Man oh man what sad event for Miss Gabby Hughes. With this failure she could not be scored which means she cannot advance." said Bailey.
"I am so sorry something like this does happen even to the best. Keep working on it and it will come." said Ericka.
Gabby walks back into the locker room disappointed. After collecting her stuff she walks out and walks away from the contest.
(In the Audience)
"I think I should go talk to Gabby." said Emma.
"You should. When she walked out of here she looked down on her luck." said Katie.
"I will when I get back tell me how the others did." said Emma.
" I will." said Katie as Emma left.
(Back to the Contest)
"Up next is Tanner from Little Rock, AR." said Bailey.
"I reckon I all go with my Growlithe." said Tanner.
This Puppy Pokemon stood in front of his trainer with an excited look on his face to ready to go.
"Growlithe use flame wheel." said Tanner.
Growlithe begun to spin like a wheel as fire covered his body. He begun to to fly around the arena. Well it looked like he was flying by how fast he was going.
"Now jump out of there and use flamethrower and fill the holes you created with it." said Tanner.
Growlithe jumped from the flame wheel . He then shot out flamethrower from his mouth. After the flamethrower filled the hole it now looked like a perfect side ways eight.
"What a sight. It looks so cool." said Vance.
"What cute move from a cute pokemon." said Emily.
"It was a good thought but when seen it does not look as cool as it could be." said Ericka.

"We are down to the last four Coordinators. We begin the last four with last years Grand Festival Winner Hayley Varga. from Sacramento, CA." said Bailey.
"Go fourth Mismagius." said Hayley.
Hayley waited as her Mismagius flew around the arena showing off her grace and beauty.
"Now Mismagius use magical leaf while spinning around." said Hayley.
The Mismagius starts spinning while she does she shoots off magical leaves in all directions.
"Mismagius use psychic and catch all the leaves but them spinning around you." said Hayley.
As the Magical leaf was around Mismagius she caught all the leaves with her psychic attack and now the leaves were spinning because of that attack.
"Lets finish this with a bang toss all the leaves in one pile into the air and then went them with shadow ball." said Hayley.
Mismagius stopped spinning the leaves and piled them up and shoot them into the air, then formed a ball of purple form her mouth and shot it at all the leaves as it hit the leaves all of them exploded and showered Mismagius with a wide variety of colors. Hayley looks at her Mismagius and smiles. She also whispers to herself good job.
"A sight from the beginning to the end I expect this from a person like you." said Vance.
"Mismagius shined throughout that performance." said Emily.
"It is a true on to see such a great doing what she does best." said Ericka,

"We have our first perfect score of the Contest Circuit. This is going to be a tough person to follow but someone has to so please welcome Caitlynn from Columbia Falls, Montana." said Bailey.
"Let's win Roserade. Start off first with energy ball but release small portions of them." said Cat.
Her Roserade released from her flowers on her arms a series of small green balls of energy.
"Now use magical leaf to manipulate the energy balls to form an image of Celebi." said Cat.
Roserade now let out some of the multiple colored leaves and used them to manipulate the energy balls. After manipulating them an image of what Celebi looks like appeared in the arena.
"Use poison jab to end it." said Cat.
Roserade's flowers turned purple and Roserade hits the image of Celebi and once it was destroyed it showered Roserade with sparkles.
"Another great performance from another great Coordinator." said Vance
"You are not making this job easy for me to find a flaw in that." said Emily.
"Colorful and simply stunning what a sight." said Ericka.

"Oh wow another perfect score Nashville has brought out some of the best in these Coordinators. Now we go to Jake Edwards from Baton Rouge, LA." said Bailey.
"Go Monferno." said Jake with a nervous tone.
As his Monferno appeared in the arena. He too shared the same look as Jake does.
"Monferno use Mach Punch." said Jake.
Monferno made a fist and then moved his fist from beside him to in front of him. It released a whit image of a fist going towards the wall.
"Monferno use fire blast to cover that fist in it."said Jake.
Monferno now sent out fire blast and went right for the mach punch. Fire blast wrapped around the Mach Punch and it looked like a fiery fist of power. After hitting the wall the mach punch dissipated.
"It was lacking some type of pop or sizzle." said Vance.
"It cannot stack up to the last two performers it just suck you have to be right after them.' said Emily.
"You payed the price from doing it right after two of the best Coordinators we have." said Ericka.

"Last but certainly not least is Nashville own Jenna DiMartin." said Bailey.
"Go Jumpluff." said Jenna.
Jenna and her Jumpluff has the whole audience on edge waiting for what she is going to do.
"Jumpluff use energy ball." said Jenna.
Jumpluff used energy ball to start off with.
"Jumpluff use cotton spore to attach the cotton to that energy ball making an image of yourself." said Jenna.
Jumpluff released from her cotton on her body small portions and they attached to the energy ball. It made an image of what Jumpluff looks like in the sky.
"Use leech seed to wrap around the energy ball." said Jenna.
Jumpluff used it leech seed to wrap around the whole image of Jumpluff and once it did the whole thing caught clustered into a ball then exploded in a shower of greens and whites.
"Color simple and outstanding." said Vance.
"Another strong Coordinator. I can say Nashville does not disappoint." said Emily.
"It was a sold performance but it was missing something that the perfect scores had. I am not sure what though." said Erika.

Even though it was not a perfect score Nashville still shower their own that they will back her no matter what. They gave Jenna a standing ovation.

"That was a good first round. It was better then the one we first saw." said Brady.
"Yeah I know what you mean we got two perfect scores, and Ally is also advancing again into the battle round." said Katie.
"To bad Emma missed it but I also understand she went and talked to Gabby." said Brady.
"Hopefully she is back soon she does not want to miss the battle round." said Katie.
(Near a Pokemon Center Outside the Arena)
"I cannot believe I messed up like I did it was horrible. I practiced it a lot and yet I still missed."said Gabby.
"Gabby mistakes happen all you can do is bounce back from them." said Emma.
"It's not the same though. Grovyle and me have never missed when we tested it." said Gabby.
"Gabby snap out of it all you can do is get better." said Emma.
"Just leave me alone Em I just want to be alone right now." said Gabby.
"Gabby stop it. It will be ok its one Contest their will be others." said Emma.
"Just go please."said Gabby.
"I will leave you with this you are making a big deal out of nothing. Take the loss like a man and expect it. At least you can do is come cheer on Ally you have been traveling with her." said Emma.
"No I want to stay here and perfect it now before the next one choose to participate in." said Gabby.
"Fine Gabby stay mad. You being angry will not change a thing. Your pokemon can sense when you are angry so the will be upset too." said Emma.
"Who told you that?" asked Gabby.
"A friend told me that while he was talking to others." said Emma.
"Maybe I will rest a little then try it again." said Gabby calming down.
"You will get it." said Emma leaving.
(Back in the Stands 5 minutes later)
"I am back what did I miss?" asked Emma to Katie.
"Hayley and Cat both got perfect scores and Jenna got a standing ovation." said Katie.
"Ok anything else." said Emma.
"No you are just in time they are going to reveal the battle pairings." said Katie.
(Back to the Contest)
"It is time to reveals who is going to the battle round. Please pay close attention to the screen as it randomizes the matches." said Bailey.
Match 1: Ally vs. Tanner
Match 2: Hayley vs. Jose
Match 3: Jenna vs. Kyle
Match 4: Cat vs. Jake
(Match 1: Ally vs. Tanner)
"I reckon it time to go with Tangrowth." said Tanner.
"Center Stage Houndoom." said Ally.
"Now since both Coordinators are ready we will have 5:00 minutes on the clock starting now.

Tangrowth: 100%
Houndoom: 100%
"Tangrowth use vine whip will ya." said Tanner.
"Counter it with flamethrower Houndoom." said Ally.
Two vines from Tangrowth's back go right at Houndoom. Houndoom unleashed a stream of fire from his mouth right for Tangrowth. Tangrowth is to slow to avoid the attack and was hit with the flamethrower. After getting hit with the flamethrower Tangrowth stopped his vines and withdrew them back to him.
"That flamethrower is going to do a lot to the Tangrowth." said Bailey watching the match.
"Use power whip Tangrowth." said Tanner.
"Dodge it and blast him with fire blast." said Ally.
This time the vines Tangrowth used came at Houndoom with much more force. Houndoom avoids the vines being slammed on the ground and unleashed a powerful fiery attack right at Tangrowth. Again the Tangrowth was dealt a lot of damage. Some of the vines on Tangrowth's front now had burned marks.

"The Tangrowth is less then half way and it has only been thirty second. How is Tanner going change is luck." said Bailey.
"Tangrowth use Grassy Terrain." said Tanner.
The whole arena that Houndoom and Tangrowth were on is now a grass field. With this move Tangrowth is able to regain some health but not much to reflect on him in this.
"Houndoom go and use Sludge bomb." said Ally.
Houndoom opened his mouth and let out a purple sludge ball right at Tangrowth.
"Tangrowth take the hit and then constrict him within your vines." said Tanner.
Tangrowth took the damage form sludge bomb and afterward was able to grab hold of Houndoom and constrict him. This series of attack took some some from both pokemon.
"Tangrowth tighten your grip on him." said Tanner.
Houndoom let out a yelp as the vines got tighter on him.
"Houndoom use fire fang." said Ally.
Houndoom opened his mouth and the teeth inside all turned a fiery red color. He bit down on one of the vine of Tangrowth. This caused Tangrowth to loosen his grip and it allowed Houndoom to slip out of the constrict.

Tangrowth: 33%
"Houndoom use fire blast." said Ally.
Houndoom again unleashed a powerful fire attack. Again the Tangrowth being to slow was unable to dodge it and taking the hit was likely. This attack is most likely also going to knock him out when it hits. Once Tangrowth took the hit from the fire blast he was sent to one knee then he fell on his back.
"It looks like Tangrowth will not continue this round. So Houndoom and Ally win." said Bailey.
"Good Job Houndoom." said Ally patting Houndoom on the head.
"Tangrowth we got outdone by a better person. You did your best now return." said Tanner.
They both walked back into the locker room as the stage got set for the next battle pairing.
Also do not get confused but Jenna from the first Contest is also Jenna DiMartin from this Contest. I am just giving her a last name for a reason.
The next chapter will have the rest of the Contest. I thought it would be better to break it up this time around. Nashville did not disappoint at all in the first round. It gave us two perfect scores. I had to rewrote this chapter due to at the first writing I did not include last years winner. The reason behind adding her is to make this more interesting. I am not sure if I am going to make her a permanent participant or a one time thing. I am also going to share some info on Hayley's Jolteon. It may or may not be from the same Eevee that Andrew got his Glaceon from. You may have to wait and see if those two know each other.
Trainer Update:
Gabby made a mistake that did not allow her into the next round.
She also got mad at Emma for talking to her about it.
Poke Update:
Ally's Houndour evolved into Houndoom.
Ally also has a Forretress.
