(Early the Next Morning)
"Good Morning Nashville. If you are listening to this. This means it is 5:30 am and it is E.J. on the radio. My guest today is our United States Champion Andrew Hanson." said E.J.
"Thanks for having me." said Andrew.
"Well what is on the agenda of our Champion today?" asked E.J.
" I will be here watching the reminder of the Contest. Then I will head back to DC." said Andrew.
"Do you have a favorite of the final four in this Contest?" asked E.J.
"That is a tough one each of the competitors have the same idea and that is to win. In the end it is going to come down to who wants it more. Honestly I can say its going to be Cat. I have watched her this round and I can tell she has this determination and a need to win. It is going to be tough beat that. I can say she has improved since her loss last year at the Grand Festival. She set out this year to win it all. It is a long road to the Grand Festival but a win here and at Sacramento which is the next biggest Contest can basically altar your career. " said Andrew.
"What can you say about the other three competitors?" asked E.J.
"I can say a lot about them. Lets start with Ally. She young hungry and just wants to do the best she can. After seeing her perform I think she is trying to prove something. I can say this starting my journey young you always try to prove something just like she is. Next is Jenna. I can tell from what she is doing she want to be a Grand Festival winner. It is that type of determination that can get her there. Last but not least is Hayley. She has proven time and again that what she did last year was no fluke." said Andrew.
"Well you said a lot about them. What about the situation going in DC right now?" asked E.J.
"Which one?" asked Andrew.
"How exactly is the repair on the Pokemon League going?" asked E.J.
"We will start fielding challenges next week and hopefully the first match will be soon after." said Andrew.
"Can you say you are happy to see that opening again?" asked E.J.
"Yeah I am it brings a smile to my face to finally get back to doing what I am suppose to do. I love battling against trainers. I love seeing how a trainer and his/her pokemon connect." said Andrew.
"What else do you do?" asked E.J.
Andrew looks down at his cell phone to check the time and moves the mic away from him to tell E.J that this is the last question.
"Well next to doing my job in DC. I travel to each state take some time to talk to the next generation of trainer. If that means going to trainers schools I do that. I like to share my knowledge and my mistakes to them. It helps them evolve into a better future trainer. Also with that I have been going to some of the major cities and talking about the Champions Cup. Which I can say is March 6th. So with that said mark your calendars and be ready. Thank you for having me today I which I could have answered more but I cannot." said Andrew removing his headset.
"Well with that said we will now go to commercial." said E.J also removing his headset.
Andrew shakes E.J's hand and leaves the studio.
(In the Pokemon Center)
Katie, Brady, and Emma are just starting to wake up as the radio conversation was just ending.
"Well we better get ready to cheer on Ally today." said Katie.
"She does not have it easy." said Emma.
"That is why she needs someone in her corner cheering her on." said Katie.
After a while all three of them made their way to the front of the Pokemon Center were Andrew was waiting for them.
"Well good morning." said Andrew holding a cup of coffee.
"How can you drink coffee?" asked Katie.
"When you have to wake up at 3:30 am to get ready for a radio talk show you will need it to." said Andrew.
"No I am naturally energetic. So I would have no use for coffee." said Katie.
"On a normal day I would not drink it either but today it is different I have had a long night." said Andrew.
"What exactly happened last night?" asked Katie.
"Well it started by receiving three different phone calls from Jennifer asking me various questions. After that I received a call from Ash the Champion of Japan and him and I talked about the lost ship and that the meteorologist made it safely to Japan. It has taken them twenty-four hours to start tracking the ship. I have no idea if they have found anything yet. I do hope to find out tonight though." said Andrew.
"The life of a Champion." said Katie.
"I know I would not have it any other way. said Andrew laughing.
Minutes after Andrew finished laughing Ally walks into the Pokemon Center. With a concerned look on her face.
"Hey Ally you do not look so good?" asked Katie.
"Earlier this morning I was watching some of the Contests Hayley took part in and realized she is not going to be easy." said Ally.
"You have to stay positive in order to win Ally." said Katie.
"Your right. I better head over to the stadium and get ready." said Ally leaving.
"She is going to need a lot of luck in order to beat Hayley." said Andrew.
"You did say you would tell us how you know Hayley." said Katie.
"When I begun my journey in Sacramento. She too begun at the same time. Her and I decided on our last day of Trainer's School we would travel together. So as she took part in the Contest Circuit I took part in gym battles. We both made it to our goal at that time which for her was the Grand Festival and for me it was the Champions Cup. When she won it all I know I had to do the same and in the end both did. After that we both talked about our future and what we wanted to do. I thought she would not try for another Grand Festival but I guess I was wrong. And if you cannot tell what mine was it was to beat the current champion at that time and become the champion." said Andrew.
"So you two have a history." said Katie.
"Yes we do it goes back to our younger days." said Andrew.
He stops looks down at his cell phone and checks the time.
"We better go we do not want to be late." said Andrew.
"Yeah lets go." said Katie.
They all left the pokemon center and made their way to the stadium. The stadium was getting packed with everyone wanting to see the ending of the contest. They made it in safely and found a seat to see all the action that is about to happen. After the stadium filled up the MC walked out with a mic and about ready to introduce the judges again.
(The Contest)
"Good morning ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the Nashville Contest. I am Bailey Underwood and it is time to introduce the judges again. First please welcome Poke. Tech President Vance Walker. Next please welcome Pokemon Fan Club President Ms. Emily Hart. And the guest judge for this contest please welcome a former Grand Festival winner Ms. Ericka Markks. Normally we would hear what they want to say but we are going to get right underway so lets get to the first match." said Bailey.
(Match 1 Jenna vs. Cat)
"Let me introduce the competitors. First from Columbia Falls, Montana Caitlynn. And her opponent from Nashville, TN Jenna DiMartin." said Bailey.
Cat walks out first and takes her spot in the arena the crowd was silent as she walked. It was kinda expected because the next one to walk is the one this city want to win. After she took her spot Jenna walked out and the crowd was going berserk they were yelling and cheering and finally clapping.
"Good thing for Cat is she is not phased by any of what the audience is doing." said Andrew.
"She always does that." said the guy next to Andrew.
"I take it that she zones everyone out and focuses at the task at hand."said Andrew.
"You are right about that." said the guy.
"The match is about to begin so lets watch." said Andrew turning his attention back to the arena.
"Go Ninetales." said Cat
"Go Girafarig." said Jenna.
"The clock will now be set to five minutes. You may begin." said Bailey.

Ninetales: 100%
Girafarig: 100%
"Ninetales use quick attack."
Ninetales moved quickly to hit Girafarig. It did not do much to Girafarig but it did reduce some of Girafarig's bar. So that is a positive.
"Girafarig use psybeam."
"Ninetales dodge it then flamethrower."
Girafarig released from his two horns from the top of his head a wide variety of colorful circular rings that was targeted at Ninetales. Ninetales avoided the attack. After she did she released a stream of fire from her mouth right at the Girafarig. Girafarig took the flamethrower and still continued.
"Girafarig use thunder wave."
Girafarig put out from his horns waves of paralyzing thunder and hose waves went right for Ninetales. Once they made contact with Ninetales they paralyzed the fox pokemon.
"Ninetales use energy ball."
Ninetales tried to attack but could not unleash the energy ball.
"Now its my turn. Girafarig use stomp."
Girafarig begun running towards Ninetales as he got close enough he stood up on his hind hooves and drove down his front hooves onto Ninetales back sending her body to the ground.

Girafarig: 80%
"Ninetales use flamethrower."
"Girafarig use mirror coat."
But still Ninetales was not able to use an attack. So the mirror coat this time around was useless.
(In the Audience)
"That time around the paralyze became a positive for Cat because if she manged to use that move and hit Girafarig it would not have done any damage to him but it would have done twice as much when the attack hit Ninetales back. That is what mirror move would have done." said Andrew.
"I guess she did get lucky." said Katie.
"This battle is not going Cat's way." said Andrew.
"How can you tell ?" asked Katie.
"Cat likes to go for the kill in first minute if this drags longer then that you have to start liking Jenna in all this." said Andrew.
"I know Cat she can come back from this." said the guy next to Andrew.
"Allow me to tell you this. This battle is going like the first one between these two." said Andrew.

"Girafarig use stomp."
"Ninetales wait till he comes right in front of you and blast him with flamethrower."
Again Girafarig charged at Ninetales. Once he got close he stood on hind hooves and as he was going to bring his front two he was hit by a stream of fire from Ninetales. Once the flamethrower stopped Girafarig was standing in front of Jenna. Who looked a little shocked to that Ninetales manged to use an attack.
"Ok Girafarig use rain dance."
Girafarig shot something into the air then afterward it became cloudy and then started to rain. The rain made the dirt arena muddy and tough to move around.
"Now Girafarig use thunder."
Girafarig shot a powerful bolt of thunder straight into the clouds. Shortly after the attack came down and hit Ninetales. After the attack it reveled that Ninetales still stood after taking that hit.

After taking a minute to look at the screen Jenna saw that she was ahead of Cat. Jenna was proud of was going down right now. The rain has stopped and it became clear in the arena. The arena was still covered in mud but at least Ninetales' fire attack are back to full power.
"Ninetales use quick attack."
Ninetales charged with a lot of speed towards Girafarig. This attack was successful again it did some damage but not much.
"Girafarig use stop again."
Girafarig came at Ninetales from where he was standing.
"Ninetales use quick attack to dodge that attack."
Ninetales moved from where she was with ease. Now as Girafarig was about to slam his front two hooves down there was nothing in front of him. And when Girafarig did slam his hooves down he got them stuck into a puddle of mud. Ninetales was standing behind Girafarig. So it made it hard for Girafarig to know where the attack was coming from.
"Ninetales use flamethrower."
Girafarig was hit in its backside by the powerful stream of fire shot from Ninetales.
"Girafarig use all your power to lift yourself out of that mud."
"Ninetales while she trying that use energy ball."
With some of Girafarig's power he manged to get one hoof free before taking from behind him the energy ball.

Girafarig: 58%
It took some more power but Girafarig did get his last hoof free from the mud.
"Ninetales use flamethrower."
"Girafarig use psychic to stop that attack."
As soon as Ninetales released a stream of fire from her mouth it was stopped about half way towards Girafarig. Girafarig then reversed it back at Ninetales. It did do damage to Ninetales even though it was a fire attack.
(In the Audience)
"How did that exactly work. I thought flamethrower is a fire attack it should have done nothing to Ninetales." said Emma.
"Allow me to explain. Yes flamethrower is a fire type attack but once it was stopped by psychic it was no longer a fire type attack. See when the blue aura from psychic stops the attack it becomes a psychic type attack. Trust me it is a rather confusing situation and that is what I am going to leave it as." said Andrew.

"Girafarig use clam mind."
Girafarig simply stood there an took time to clear his thoughts. It also powered up Girafarig's psychic type attacks.
"Ninetales use quick attack."
Ninetales quickly charged at Girafarig and did some damage to him.

"Ninetales use flamethrower."
"Girafarig mirror coat."
The paralysis came back and prevented Ninetales from using an attack. Which mean it also prevented mirror coat from working. Both of them lost some of their bar.
"Girafarig use stomp."
"Use quick attack to avoid it Ninetales."
The paralysis stopped Ninetales again from using an attack. So with that said Girafarig manged to use stomp on Ninetales.

"Girafarig calm mind one more time."
"Stop him Ninetales from using that and use flamethrower."
"Ninetales manged to unleash flamethrower and hit the Girafarig. It also stopped Girafarig from using calm mind.

"Ninetales use energy ball."
"Girafarig use thunderbolt."
Girafarig's thunderbolt hit the energy ball and stopped that attack continued to go for Ninetales. The attack hits Ninetales right with one second left and with that attack done the clock struck zero and the whole audience was on the edge of their seats to see who one.

"There we have ladies and gentlemen the hometown girl Jenna DiMartin edges out her rival and wins this round." said Bailey.
The crowd was cheering for her since she is now moving on to the finals up against the winner of the next match.
"We will now clean up the arena and get the next match underway." said Bailey.
(In the Audience)
"Wow that was to close it went down to the wire. It was back and forth for the last two minutes. It could have been either of them." said Brady.
"In the end thunder wave won Jenna this round, but whoever she faces next which I can guess who it is Jenna will have trouble." said Andrew.
"It is not going to be Ally is it." said Katie.
"No." said Andrew.
"You have no faith in her do you?" asked Katie.
" I do but the person she is up against is one of the best Coordinators we have seen. Hayley is the type of Coordinator who will go all out and then some to win. Ally is a fairly new Coordinator she is up against dare I say an expert. This is no easy task even for a girl like Jenna. The only one I could see beating Hayley is Cat." said Andrew.
"I guess we will have to see." said Katie.
" Do not be disappointed id Hayley does win." said Andrew.
"I am not going to be." said Katie.

"OK the next match will be between Hayley Varga from Sacramento, CA and Ally Richards from Boston, MA. So lets welcome them both to the arena." said Bailey.
Ally walks out first and takes her spot. Next out is Hayley who took the spot across the arena from Ally.
"Go Houndoom." said Ally.
"Go fourth Politoed." said Hayley.
As soon as Politoed set foot on the arena it started to rain over the arena.
"Ok with that we can now begin this match." said Bailey.

Politoed: 100%
"Houndoom use thunder fang."
"Politoed use dig to dodge it then pop up behind him and use scald."
Houndoom opened his mouth and his teeth became covered in electricity and he charged at Politoed. Politoed first dug underground which allowed Politoed to avoid Houndoom's attack then she dug back up behind him and unleashed from his mouth hot water that hit Houndoom.
"Houndoom come on and use bite."
"Politoed wait till he get near you and hit him with brick break."
Houndoom charged at Politoed and opened his mouth as he got close enough to try to bite down on Politoed. But as quick as he could try Politoed slammed her left hand on Houndoom's head. It sent Houndoom to the ground and it also shook Ally up a little.

Houndoom was still close to the ground in front of Politoed.
"Now Politoed jump back and blast Houndoom with hydro pump."
Politoed jumped back and landed further away from Houndoom and blasted him with biggest stream of water it sent Houndoom away from where he was and near where Houndoom stood when he started the match.
"Politoed use focus blast to finish this."
As soon as Houndoom stood up he was hit with a powerful light yellow blast that was created by Politoed. After the attack was over Houndoom just layed there. Everyone in the audience could tell it was over. It was quiet in the stadium because the audience knows that Jenna is up against her next. Ally returned her Houndoom and looked down. This was till Hayley walked over to her.
"Let me tell you something you are only going to get better. You have to remember your still new at this I have been doing this for years. I want you take this and learn from it." said Hayley.
"Thank you." said Ally.
"Well the winner of this round is Hayley. That means she will go into the finals to face Jenna which will take place in a few minutes. So lets get ready for that.
(In the Audience)
"Hayley's battling style kind of reminds me of yours Andrew." said Katie.
"Funny you should say that." said Andrew.
"She is ruthless in a battle she shows no sign of weakness. I get why you said what you said earlier." said Katie.
"I knew she would do this because Ally is still new. Hayley took advantage of that and used her own experience against Ally." said Andrew.
"How will she fair against Jenna?" asked Katie.
"I would not be surprised if the same result happens." said Andrew.

"Ok it is time for the finals so lets get right to it. Let me first introduce from Nashville, TN Jenna DiMartin and her opponent from Sacramento, CA Hayley Varga." said Bailey.
Shortly after that was said Jenna walked out to a bunch of cheers from the audience. After Jenna took her spot Hayley walked out to and took her spot opposite of Jenna.
(Final Match: Jenna vs. Hayley)
"Go Weavile." said Jenna.
"Go fourth Mienshao." said Hayley.

Mienshao: 100%
"Weavile use aerial ace."
"Mienshao use detect."
Mienshao created a barrier around him and as soon as Weavile tried to attack it did nothing to Mienshao.
"Now that the Weavile is right in front of you Mienshao use force palm."
Mienshao quickly changed from defending himself to attack that Weavile with a powerful fighting attack that sent Weavile flying backwards.
"I cannot let Hayley follow up with another attack like she did with Ally." said Jenna.
"Mienshao use drain punch."
"Weavile use protect."
Weavile created a green shield around which prevented Mienshao from attacking him. That stopped Mienshao this turn.

"Mienshao use feint."
"Weavile use protect."
As soon as the green shield appeared around Weavile it was shattered because of feint and also dealt some damage to Weavile.
"Now Weavile try aerial ace again."
"Mienshao use high jump kick to dodge that attack.
Mienshao jumped into the air which prevented him from taking the attack from Weavile. Soon after he drove he knee down where Weavile was. It created a hole where Weavile was standing in the middle of that hole was Weavile laying down. Weavile still got up ready to continue.

"Mienshao use aura sphere."
Mienshao created a blue ball in the palm of his right hand and blasted the attack Weavile who was barely standing. Weavile was in no way able to dodge such an attack. The attack hit Weavile in his belly and sent backwards till he hit the wall behind his trainer. The hometown girl was looking all but speechless from the events that just unfolded. She lost in the finals in her hometown. Jenna returned her Weavile and looked across from her to see Hayley celebrating her victory with her Mienshao.
"That is it ladies and gentlemen the winner of the Nashville Contest is Hayley Varga. She is awarded her first ribbon this year. this was dominate win from her. I will see all of you later and the next contest this is Bailey Underwood signing off.
(Outside the Stadium)
"What a contest." said Brady.
"Yeah it was." said Emma.
"Who won?" asked Gabby walking up to them.
"Hayley won." said Emma.
"Good for her." said Gabby.
"You still seem a little down." said Emma.
"I am." said Gabby.
"You cannot let that get you down." said a female voice walking over to them.
"Why do you care you probably made it to the finals Cat." said Gabby.
"I did not Gabby. I lost to Jenna again this time in the semi- finals." said Cat.
"At least you advanced." said Gabby.
"It has not always been like that. It took me awhile for my Roserade to master the combo she used yesterday. Yeah I messed up in one of the biggest Contest last year. It not only cost me a ribbon but I did not even make it past the first round. It was disappointing but that did not stop me I got better and now look at the move he got me a perfect score here." said Cat.
"There you are Cat." said Dan walking over.
"I have been right here." said Cat.
"I got into it with a guy in the audience over your battle with Jenna. He said it was going to end like the first match you two fought." said Dan.
Dan looks over to the guy standing next to Katie and sees it is the same guy.
"You must be talking about what I said." said Andrew.
"Yeah I am." said Dan.
"The think is I was right in the end." said Andrew.
"I have one way to settle this and that is a six on six pokemon battle." said Dan.
"You do not even know who I am and yet you are challenging me." said Andrew.
"Are you backing down?" asked Dan.
"Hell no I will battle." said Andrew.
"Ok lets walk over to the Pokemon Center and we will do battle there."said Dan.
"Sure." said Andrew.
That will end this chapter. The battle will be the first thing done in the next chapter. I still find it funny the way Andrew and Dan were Audience when Cat and Jenna were battling. I guess the best way to settle this is a pokemon battle. It will be a good though. At the end of this contest last year's Grand Festival winner Hayley won. Good thing she will not be at all the contest that happen. The next time I right her in will be in Sacramento so wait for that. I do say the best battle of the whole contest would be Jenna and Cat. It was back and fourth the whole time. Anyway onto the updates.
Trainer Update:
