(At the Pokemon Center)

"Dan good luck out there." said Cat.

" I will beat him." said Dan.

Dan walks onto the arena where Andrew was standing in the center waiting for him.

"We need a ref." said Andrew.

" We need a fair ref. So none our friends." said Dan.

"I will do it." said Zoe walking over.

"What are you doing over here Zoe?" asked Andrew.

"Well I was heading over to the pokemon center to get back my Larvesta. She was burning up badly so I brought her to the pokemon center." said Zoe.

"How is she?" asked Andrew.

"I just got her back." said Zoe.

"Good. So you are up to refing this match." said Andrew.

"Yes." said Zoe.

"Zoe this is a 6 on 6 battle both trainers can substitute." said Andrew.

"Ok then lets get this underway." said Zoe.

(Andrew vs. Dan)

"This is a pokemon battle between Andrew and Dan. This is a 6 on 6 battle where both trainers can substitute. After three pokemon from one trainer has been eliminated we will take a short break then continue. The battle will be over when one trainer's pokemon cannot continue. Are you both ready?" asked Zoe.

"Sure." said Andrew.

"Yes I am." said Dan.

"Ok this match can now begin." said Zoe.

"Gallade, time for battle.." said Dan.

"Aegislash go." said Andrew.

"Gallade go with night slash then follow up with leaf blade."

"Aegislash use king's shield."

Gallade went right at Aegislash his blades went from green to black as he got close to Aegislash. As soon as Gallade went to swing at Aegislash he instead hit the orange shield that was around Aegislash.

"Now Aegislash stance change and use shadow ball."

Aegislash changed from defense to attack and shot out a shadow ball that found its mark and sent Gallade back to were he begun the battle at.

(Watching the Battle)

"The speed on how quick Andrew's Aegislash changed form was amazing." said Katie.

"Yeah it was." said Brady.

(Back to the match)

"Your Aegislash is impressive." said Dan

"Thanks." said Andrew.

"He manged to change his stance while the shield was still covering him." said Dan.

"It took a lot of training for Aegislash to master that." said Andrew.

"My Gallade is well trained too I will show you that." said Dan.

"Aegislash use shadow sneak."

The shadow from Aegislash extended itself from right underneath Aegislash to right behind Gallade. Gallade might be quick but the attack was just faster meaning Gallade took the attack. After the attack the shadow then returned to Aegislash.

"Use night slash Gallade."

"You use it too Aegislash."

Both pokemon went right for one another. Gallade's blades meet with Aegislash's body. Not either pokemon was giving an inch.

"Aegislash use iron head."

While both pokemon were still locked up. Aegislash's shield begun to glow sliver. Then Aegislash brings his shield forward to hit Gallade. The shield hits Gallade which stops his attack and sends him back.

"That Aegislash has a counter for everything I try to throw at him." said Dan.

"Aegislash stance change again." said Andrew.

After Andrew said that it was almost instantaneous that Aegislash changed.

"Now Aegislash use Autotomize."

"Gallade use night slash."

Gallade charged at Aegislash with bot his blades all black ready to land his attack. Gallade's attack found its mark and hit Aegislash's shield. It seemed like not much damage was done to the Aegislash. Right after Gallade backed off the Aegislash. Aegislash start shredding some of his ribbon like arms to increase his speed.

"Damn kings shield it really did a number on my Gallade's attacks. I know night slash is super effective against Aegislash but it looked like it did nothing to him." said Dan.

"Now Aegislash use iron defense."

"Gallade use leaf blade then follow up with night slash."

Right before Gallade attacked Aegislash's body became covered in a iron like coat which increased his defense. Shortly after Gallade made contact with Aegislash with leaf blade which again did not do much. He then switched from leaf blade to a night slash which did a little more then the leaf blade.

"Now that your done allow me. Aegislash stance change then quickly attack with shadow sneak.

Again like clockwork Aegislash changed. His shadow stretched from underneath him all the way behind Gallade. Before Gallade could react he was hit with the ghost attack. It did do some damage but not enough to take down the Gallade. But by looking at the Gallade you could tell all the ghost type attack sis starting to ware him down.

" I cannot tell if I have done anything to Aegislash. He does not look like he is worn down." said Dan.

"Aegislash use shadow ball."

"Gallade use stone edge to stop that attack."

"Aegislash now use shadow sneak one more time.

Aegislash used the shadow ball to distract Gallade from the real attack which was shadow sneak. Gallade brought up a wall of stones which once the shadow ball hit the wall it was destroyed. But the wall of stones did not stop the shadow sneak from finding its mark though. This attack brought down the wall of stones and did some damage.

"End it Aegislash and use shadow ball."

Shortly after the shadow sneak attack stopped Gallade thought he could take a minute to catch his breath but instead was hit with a powerful shadow ball. Gallade fell onto his back and fainted.

"Gallade is unable to battle, Aegislash wins." said Zoe.

"You did great Gallade, return. And Salamence, its time for battle." said Dan.

"Great job Aegislash I think I will keep you out this round." said Andrew.

"Salamence use dragonbreath."

"Aegislash absorb the hit then use shadow ball."

Aegislash took the damage from dragonbreath but he was unable to make an attack he was paralyzed from the attack.

"Thats not good. I cannot switch stances with that." said Andrew.

"Now Salamence use flamethrower."

Aegislash was going to take a lot of damage from that flamethrower since he was unable to dodge or use an attack but what happened actually shocked Andrew. The flamethrower eliminated his Aegislash.

"Aegislash is unable to battle, Salamence wins." said Zoe.

"I guess Aegislash did take more damage then I thought from his first battle, but he still did great for his second battle." said Andrew.

"Great job Salamence. You did not take any damage from that round so your still strong enough to go on." said Dan.

"Return Aegislash, and go Flygon." said Andrew.

(In the Audience)

"This round should be easy for Salamence." said Cat.

"Why would you say that?" asked Katie.

"Well I know Dan's Salamence it is faster then most Flygons." said Cat.

"It may be faster then most but it has not meet Andrew's Flygon." said Katie.

(Back to the match)

Both powerful dragon- type pokemon were locked in eye contact. They both were waiting for the other to make the first move.

"Salamence use dragonbreath."

"Flygon use flamethrower."

Those two powerful attacks meet in the center of the arena. It looked like the attacks were even matched. That was till Salamence's dragonbreath started losing its power. The flamethrower inched ever closer every minute.

"Salamence break off he attack." said Dan.

As soon as the order came from Dan his Salamence's stopped using dragonbreath was quickly engulfed in flames because of the flamethrower. Minutes later Flygon too stopped his attack and after the flames cleared up he saw that Salamence was still flying strong in the air.

"Salamence charge at him with dragon claw then attack with thunder fang."

"Flygon swat him away with dragon tail."

Salamence charged quickly at Flygon. Salamence's mouth had lighting running through it and his claws were covered in white because of dragon claw. As soon as Salamence got close enough to try to launch he was swatted away like a bug by Flygon's dragoon tail. Salamence was able to recover quite quickly though.

"Flygon use dragon pulse."

"Salamence use dragonbreath."

Both dragon pokemon unleashed their attacks. The power of those attacks were even and it showed as both attacks meet with an explosive end. As soon as those attacks meet each other they caused an explosion sending smoke at everyone.

"Flygon use sandstorm to blow away the smoke."

Flygon kicked up some sand with flaps of his wings. Flygon increased the speed the sand was going around it eventually looked like a twister. Flygon then pushed away from here towards the smoke. The cyclone absorbed the smoke into itself then dissipated. Making the arena clear again.

"Salamence flamethrower."

"Flygon use flamethrower as well."

Again two evenly matched attacks meet over the center of the arena.

"Salamence increase the power of that attack."

"Flygon change from flamethrower to dragon pulse."

Salamence stepped up the power on his flamethrower. While Flygon quickly switched from his flamethrower to dragon pulse. At the start both pokemon looked even then dragon pulse kept inching closer and closer to Salamence.

"Hopefully Salamence can take a dragon pulse." said Dan to himself.

After saying that he witnessed his Salamence take the pull power of Flygon's dragon pulse. This attack sent Salamence to the ground.

"Flygon now use draco meter."

Flygon sent a single meter into the sky it then exploded which sent at Salamence a few smaller meters. Salamence tried to get back into the air but he was then hit with one meter on the back and this sent him back to the ground. Minutes later Salamence was hit with many more. And after the attack stopped Salamence was stretched on the dirt arena.

"Salamence is unable to battle, Flygon wins." said Zoe.

"Good job Salamence return." said Dan.

Andrew's Flygon lands in front of Andrew. Flygon was appreciated by his trainer over the win. Flygon was pat on head and took multiple complements from Andrew.

"I have done battles with many Flygon before but his is like none other." said Dan reaching for his next pokemon.

"Flygon I think you deserve a nice long rest." said Andrew returning him.

"I will go with Lucario." said Dan.

"Fine with me I will use Staraptor." said Andrew.

Both pokemon looked ready to go in this match. Staraptor was high in the sky flying around while Lucario was watching every move Staraptor was doing.

"Staraptor use aerial ace."

"Lucario hit with metal claw then use thunder punch to keep him down."

Staraptor dived at Lucario but his aerial ace was stopped even before it landed by metal claw. Lucario then quickly switched into a powerful thunder punch. It hit and sent Staraptor away.

"I cannot let Staraptor take another one of those. I need to be careful on my next move." said Andrew.

Staraptor still flew high even after taking that super effective hit from thunder punch.

"Staraptor try using close combat."

"Lucario same as before use metal claw then follow up with thunder punch."

Staraptor dived at him again this time claws first. They claws were stopped by the metal claw then Lucario made a fist and hit him with thunder punch one more time. Again Lucario stopped Staraptor from ding any damage. Staraptor barely held on after taking yet another super effective hit.

"I have one move it is a bit risky but it might work. Staraptor final gambit." said Andrew.

Staraptor knew what to do after doing hearing Andrew say that. He dove again for the final time at Lucario. Nothing could stop this attack it was going to hit Lucario. And so it did Staraptor took a ton damage himself but it also made Lucario fall to one knee.

"Staraptor is unable to battle, Lucario wins." said Zoe.

"Great job Staraptor you tried your best, so return." said Andrew.

Dan admired what his Lucario has done this round. Dan did not realize that Staraptor ended himself to deal a lot of damage to his Lucario who was still on one knee.

"Well it looks like I have to go back to you Flygon." said Andrew tossing out his pokeball.

"I have to take out that Flygon. I just have to get close to him to attack. That will be the hard part." said Dan.

"Flygon use flamethrower."

"Lucario you have to dodge it."

Dan's Lucario tries to get up but could not. That would mean the stream of fire also known as flamethrower landed its mark. It did a lot of damage to Lucario but it did not take him out.

"I would have thought that would have done the trick. Since Lucario did take a large amount of damage from my final gambit attack. Your Lucario has a strong will to keep going even after that." said Andrew.

"He has been well trained." said Dan.

"Flygon use dragon pulse."

"Lucario use aura sphere to counter that."

Lucario shot from his palm a powerful sphere of pure aura. this attack was able to take the dragon pulse. Once those two attacks met it again caused a massive explosion.

"Lucario use the cover the smoke to attack Flygon with ice punch."

"Flygon wait for the right time then blast him with flamethrower."

Lucario charged at Flygon. His right paw was covered in ice. While this was all happening Flygon waited and picked the spot when he was going to attack. Flygon's attack time was accurate and as soon as Lucario left the ground to try to hit Flygon he was blasted right back into the ground. The damage this time around was extraordinary. Lucario struggled to get up. He tried and tried but failed to.

"Lucario is unable to battle, Flygon wins. We will now take a short break then continue this battle." said Zoe.

Both trainers return their pokemon and walked off the arena. They both walked over to where the others were standing and waited.

"Cat that Flygon is annoying. He has already eliminated two of my pokemon with him." said Dan.

"You still have Swampert. I he does know ice beam." said Cat.

"I completely forgot about that. If he goes back to him though." said Dan.

"He does still have four pokemon to use. So you should at least know two of them." said Cat.

"Yeah he has Flygon and if I am right a Glaceon." said Dan.

"Swampert will help with Flygon and your ace Blaziken will make short work of his Glaceon." said Cat.

"Where would I be without you Cat." said Dan.

"I know well you better get back to it." said Cat.

(Back to the Battle)

"Sceptile, time for battle." said Dan.

"Interesting decision. I think I will go with my Glaceon." said Andrew.

"I got to avoid the powerful ice attacks plus I have to be land my own attacks on him." said Dan.

"Sceptile use iron tail."

"Glaceon jump over the tail then blast him with shadow ball.

Sceptile tried to strike quickly with his iron tail but he missed because Glaceon jumped over the tail. Right after Glaceon did he shot off a shadow that his Sceptile in the stomach. The shadow ball sent Sceptile away from Glaceon.

"Surprisingly that Glaceon is faster then my Sceptile." said Dan.

"Glaceon use hail."

Glaceon shot a ball of ice into the sky. It then became cloudy. It then started to snow and this snow covered the arena. This also made Glaceon faster because of his ability snow cloak.

"Sceptile use leaf blade then follow up with iron tail."

"Glaceon use blizzard."

As Sceptile charged at Glaceon the stormed got worse and started to deal a large amount of damage to Sceptile he was getting hit with blizzard. This moves stopped the attacks of Sceptile. The attack stopped and to surprise of Andrew Sceptile was still standing even after taking one of Glaceon's best combos.

"Sceptile try to get up and use aerial ace."

"Glaceon use ice beam on his feet to keep him from moving."

Sceptile got up and as soon as he did his feet were hit with ice beam locking him in place. Sceptile tried moving his feet but could not.

"Glaceon finish it with sheer cold."

A powerful ice attack begun to form near the mouth of Glaceon. Very shortly after that he it at Sceptile and once it hit Sceptile was done. It also froze all round were Sceptile took the hit.

"Sceptile is unable to battle, Glaceon wins." said Zoe.

"Return Sceptile, and go Swampert." said Dan.

"Glaceon may not be able to keep up power wise but Glaceon is a lot faster making him harder to hit." said Andrew.

"Swampert use hammer arm."

"Glaceon use dig."

Swampert got close to Glaceon and tried to slam his massive hands on him. That attack missed because of the dig.

"Now Glaceon jump out and use ice beam."

Glaceon jumps out of another hole he created behind Swampert and shots out an ice beam at Swampert. The attack hits. The attack did not do much damage to Swampert since he was still standing tall.

"I can use my Glaceon's speed and a flurry of attacks to keep that Swampert down." said Andrew.

"Swampert use aqua tail then use hammer arm."

"Glaceon use dig to avoid those attacks then jump and use ice beam again."

Glaceon quickly dug underground to avoid all the attacks that Swampert tried to use. Glaceon later dug himself up behind Swampert and used ice beam to do a small amount of damage.

"Glaceon sheer cold."

"Protect Swampert."

Glaceon unleashed his most powerful ice attack. The attack was stopped by the protect. Swampert was not damaged. The only problem was the arena surrounding Swampert was all frozen. He was unable to move from the spot he was at.

"Swampert use mud shot on the ice to cover that spot."

"Glaceon use iron tail."

Glaceon moved quickly toward Swampert. His tail was covered in iron and Glaceon jumped up in order to hit Swampert in the head. Once he did Swampert was unable to use mud shot.

"There has to be another way to walk across this ice. If I walk slow I would get by one of Glaceon's attacks, but if I walk fast my Swampert will slip on fall on his face. I need to just think here." said Dan.

"Glaceon use blizzard one last time."

"Swampert use protect again."

Again Swampert protected himself from taking any damage by using protect. The attack from Glaceon was basically useless. The blizzard blew past the shield and that was all.

"Glaceon use ice beam on the feet again."

Glaceon shots a powerful stream of ice right at Swampert's feet. Glaceon's ice beam manged to hit all four of them making unable to move for now.

"Swampert use hammer arm to break that ice."

"Glaceon sheer cold."

Glaceon once again unleashed his most powerful ice attack. Swampert did manged to get out of the ice around his feet but that was for not he was still hit with the sheer cold. This move did ado a lot of damage to Swampert. This attack made him fall and he did not get back up.

"Swampert was unable to battle, Glaceon wins." said Zoe.

"Return Swampert." said Dan.

"It looks like you are down to your last pokemon." said Andrew.

"That would be right but my last is my best." said Dan.

"I sure hope it would be. You presume you saved the best for last." said Andrew.

"Blaziken, time for battle." said Dan.

"A fire type this would be one my Glaceon could not win so he done for know. Return Glaceon." said Andrew.

"Who are you going to go with?" asked Dan.

"How about this. Go Swampert." said Andrew.

"What? You have a Swampert?" asked Dan.

"Yeah I caught a Mudkip while I was in Florida when I was 12." said Andrew.

"I take it that your Swampert is different from mine." said Dan.

"Yes you can say that. My Swampert has large amount Stamina but thats not all. He specializes in long range water attacks." said Andrew.

"I cannot let my Blaziken get hit by one of those water attacks." said Dan.

"Swampert use scald."

"Blaziken dodge it and use solarbeam."

Blaziken dodge the scald with easy and absorbed a lot of sunlight.

"Unleash it know even though it is not ready."

"Like yours my Swampert has protect. Now use it." said Andrew.

The protect took all the damage the small version of solarbeam would have done. Also with protect Dan was unable to do any other combo with it.

"Swampert use earthquake."

The ground all around the arena started trembling. This move caused the ground to create rocks everywhere on the arena. Blaziken jump from rock to rock to avoid any damage from the earthquake. Blaziken was now balancing himself on top of some of the rocks distorted by the earthquake.

"Blaziken use shadow claw but to do so jump from rock to rock."

"Swampert blast him with hydro pump."

Blaziken was jumping around to quickly for Swampert to him accurately. Once Blaziken did make contact with Swampert he hit him with shadow claw one after the other. After the first few hits it looked like Swampert was taking no damage.

"Blaziken use sky uppercut."

"Swampert hit him now with hydro pump."

Swampert lowered his head and sent a torrent of water right at Blaziken. The attack sent Blaziken right into a rock that formed up by earthquake. The attack did do a lot of damage but it did not stop Blaziken.

"Blaziken balance yourself on the rock again. Then hit him with shadow claw."

"Swampert use aqua ring."

A ring of pure water was created around Swampert he regained stamina every time he drank the water so he did it every now and then. As for Blaziken he landed a serious of shadow claws each time one it Swampert reacted to it.

"Now hit him with sky uppercut Blaziken."

Right after finishing up the multiple shadow claws Blaziken finished it with a powerful sky uppercut attack. The power of the attack did show on Swampert after he received it. After Blaziken left the front of Swampert and back on a rock near his trainer. Swampert drank some of the water from the aqua ring. It helped a little.

"Swampert use earth power."

The ground around Blaziken was shifting again. Minutes after the shifting started the ground begun to erupt with power. Blaziken took some damage from it but after the first bit Blaziken jumped to another rock.

"Blaziken use solarbeam."

"Swampert use surf."

I giant tidal wave came in behind Swampert and swept through the arena. It caught up Blaziken in the wave. Blaziken took damage as he was slammed into another rock on the arena. Blaziken was unable to launch his solarbeam. As you look at Andrew you could see a smile pop onto his face. He knew his Swampert was close to winning this match for him. All Andrew needed to do was hit Blaziken with more powerful move and that would do it.

"This has been fun but this battle is over. Swampert hydro cannon." said Andrew.

Swampert created a blue ball of water in front of his mouth. After that it then turned into the most powerful stream of water seen in this battle and once it hit Blaziken he was just overwhelmed by the power. The battle was over after that moment. Dan ace was no more after receiving the devastating water attack. This battle was over.

"Blaziken is unable to battle, Swampert wins. Andrew is the winner." said Zoe.

(After the Match)

"That was one of my toughest battles Cat." said Dan.

"You did your best Dan. That is all you could ask for." said Cat.

"I guess my best was not better then Andrew's." said Dan.

Andrew waled over to him after returning his Swampert and Glaceon was out of his pokeball again.

"Fell free to take this advice. You should have not tried to get close to my pokemon. You should have used long ranged attacks and when you have an opening then use your combos. If not it does spell doom in the end. I do not mean to sound harsh but it is true." said Andrew.

"I know what you mean. And thanks for the great battle." said Dan.

"You took that lost like a champ. Learn from your mistakes and improve what you can and you will be tough to beat. And hopefully next time we meet it will be another great said match." said Andrew outstretching his left hand.

Minutes after listening to that Dan outstretched his right hand and shook Andrew's hand.

"Great sportsmanship." said Cat.

"Well know that this is over it is time I say good bye to you all. I am heading back to DC to reopen the League so. Till we met again. I will leave you with this a lost is an opportunity gained any way you look at it." said Andrew calling out his Flygon.

Andrew then took off in the direction of DC leaving Nashville behind.

"Well Cat we better go to the Pokemon Center and heal my pokemon." said Dan.

"Right behind you." said Cat as they left.

"I guess we will leave to New Orleans tomorrow." said Brady.

"Yeah that sounds fine." said Emma.

"I have a question." said Katie.

"What is it Katie?" asked Emma.

"What did Andrew mean by what he said?" asked Katie.

"I do not know. I guess next time we see him we should ask him." said Emma.

The three then headed back to the pokemon center to rest for the rest of the day.

Sorry for the delay but this chapter took some time. It was one those good battles you just want to enjoy. You may not as much as I did writing it but that all a matter of opinion.

Now with that said what Andrew means by what he said? Anything you have on this subject will do so take some time to think on it.
