(Later that Day)
Andrew is still under the oak tree. I looks next to him to see Glaceon sound asleep. He slowly gets up trying not to disturb Glaceon. Once he got up Andrew walked out from under the tree. He looked around to see all his pokemon just hanging around. He calls for Flygon to come down. Flygon does so and Andrew gets on him.
"Flygon we are just going to fly around for sometime while the others get some rest." said Andrew to Flygon.
Flygon took to the air and Andrew and him flew around. They did not stop till they went around Sacramento once. By time they made it back to the lab everyone was up. Andrew walked over to the shed, grabbed the food bowls and some pokemon food and feed his six pokemon. Once his pokemon were done he returned all of them to their pokeballs and walked inside the house. When he got inside food was on the table and he joined, his mom, sister, brother-in-law to eat. After eating he went to his bedroom, and went to bed. He manged to sleep for about two hours, before he woke up. He sat at the edge of the bed and was deep thought. He eventually fell back to sleep a hour later.
(Early the Next Morning)
He was sitting on the edge of the bed packing his backpack. He ran through a list of items he thought he would need. In his back pack he had a: Flashlight, a map, three days worth of camping food, a canteen full of water plus two bottles of water, a pack matches, a compass, an a sleeping bag. Andrew was always prepared. The reason he is this way is because he got lost on his journey. He walked down the stairs and out of the house. Andrew then left the yard through the back gate and walked to the pokemon center. Once there he walked in to see Brady and Emma still packing while Katie sat in front of the pokemon center waiting for them.
"I thought you all would be ready." said Andrew.
"I am." said Katie.
"What is taking the other two so long then?" asked Andrew.
"Well Emma woke up late, and Brady always packs slow." said Katie.
"Does this always happen when you guys go to the next gym?" asked Andrew.
"Yeah it does happen a lot." said Katie.
"Go tell them to make sure they have a sleeping just in case." said Andrew.
"Just in case of what?" asked Katie.
"Any unforseen circumstances." said Andrew.
"What do you mean by that?" asked Katie.
"From my past experinces it is best to be prepared for the wrost case scenario." said Andrew.
"I will let them know." said Katie walking to the back.
After telling the other two she rejoined Andrew in the front of the center. Brady and Emma walk a couple mintutes later with backpacks on ready to go.
"I hope you all have everything since once we get there we are not returning till sometime after nightfall." said Andrew.
"We do." said Brady.
"Lets not waste any more time and lets go." said Andrew.
The four of them walked out of the pokemon center and stood around as Andrew called out Flygon and Charizard again. Emma and Brady got onto Charizard and Andrew and Katie got on Flygon. They flew directly to Yosemite National Park. This flight took them 30 minutes.
(Yosemite National Park)
"So where are we going to start?" asked Katie.
"There is so much to see here. I think we should just follow this path up to Ellery Lake." said Andrew.
"Whats at Ellery Lake?" asked Brady.
"It is home to a diverse selction of water type pokemon. You can also find bug type pokemon near it too." said Andrew.
They followed the path for about 2 hours till the reached the lake front.
"What are we doing here?" asked Katie.
"We are just here to enjoy the lake while we take a break from all the walking we have done." said Andrew.
"Think we have time for a swim." asked Emma.
"Yeah we do." said Andrew.
"Where can I change?" asked Emma.
"We are near a camp site so we can stop there till after lunch." said Andrew.
"Ok." said Emma.
They walked over to the campsite. The site only had one family there.
"Where is everyone?" asked Brady.
"Most likely at Mono Lake." said Andrew.
"Why would they be there?" asked Brady.
"This lake is not known to many. The way I know it is because I got lost near here and stumbled across it." said Andrew.
(At the Campsite)
"This would be the perfect place to let our pokemon out to get some fresh area" said Andrew.
"Your right." said Katie.
Andrew grabbed his six pokeballs and tossed them into the air. Out came Glaceon, Lucario, Gengar, Swampert, Flygon, and Charizard. Swampert found his way into the lake. Glaceon was following Andrew. Charizard and Flygon were Flying around in circles playing. Gengar and Lucario sat down near the water's edge. Next Katie called out her pokemon. Her six pokemon were Espeon, Absol, Pidgey, Sevine, Poliwhirl, and her Vulpix. Her Vulpix found a nice shady spot to sleep. Poliwhirl went into the lake. Absol watched everone carefully examing each of their moves. Pidgey joined Charizard and Flygon in the air. Servine wnet to the lake front. And Espeon followed Katie around the campsite.
"Come on Emma and Brady call out your pokemon." said Katie.
"Ok I will." said Emma tossing her pokeballs into the air.
Venomoth, Combusken, Swanna, and Herdier appeared in fron of her. After seeing the other pokemon Emma's pokemon walked over to them. Swanna flew around just like the other flying type pokemon and Flygon. Herdier and Combusken walked to the lake side and Venomoth found a spot in a tree near the campsite. Brady was next he too tossed his pokeballs into the air. First there was Prinplup, he went into the water for a swim. Nuzleaf joined the others under a tree. Growlithe fell alseep next to Vulpix. Timburr was lifting a fallen old tree trunk near the camp, and Murkrow flew around.
"It looks like the pokemon are enjoying the fresh air." said Andrew.
"Yeah they do." said Katie.
"We should go join them then." said Emma.
They all walk over to the bathrooms at the campsite. Andrew and Brady walked into the guys and Katie and Emma into the ladies. All four them put on a swimsuit for the girls and Brady and Andrew had shorts on. Andrew had a dark navy blue pair of shorts and a grey shirt on. Brady had a white shirt on and a green pair of shorts. Emma had a tank top and a pair of shorts covering her swimsuit. Katie was exact same way. After getting changed they walked over to the tree near the lake and set their bags down. Andrew took off his shirt, set it down and went to the lake. Brady joined him shortly after. Next Emma took off her shirt and shorts to reviel her black with white strips two piece swimsuit. They all were waiting for Katie who was just standing there.
"Katie you coming in the water actually fills good." said Andrew.
"I will." said Katie.
"Katie can be is shy at times, she usually only swims at the pool at our house." said Emma.
"I see so she does not want anyone to see her." said Andrew.
"Yeah thats basically it." said Emma.
"I will try to talk to her." said Andrew.
Andrew gets out of the water and walks over to Katie who was sitting under the tree.
"Are you going to swim with us?" asked Andrew.
"I would like to but I don't know." said Katie.
"Are you self- conscious about yourself?" asked Andrew.
Katie did not give Andrew a responce. She just looked around then back at Andrew.
"I will take that as a yes. I would have never thought you would be shy Katie, you are always outspoken." said Andrew.
"I know I am strange like that." said Katie.
"Katie your not strange. Your perfect." said Andrew.
That comment made Katie blush.
"You think so?" asked Katie.
"Yeah I do." said Andrew.
Katie stands up and takes off her shorts. This reveiled her all white bottoms. She then takes off her shirt it showed that she had a rainbow colored top on she also takes off her glasses and sets them in her bag.. She walks over to the water and strats getting in. Andrew follows her in. They are all enjoying the water. Andrew dove under to find his Swampert who was swimming around. After following Swampert for some time Andrew rejoins the other three who were just enjoying cool water.
"Where are heading to after our stop here?" asked Katie.
"We are heading to Tioga Peak. To get there we have to go through the Tioga mountains." said Andrew.
"What could we find in the mountain?" asked Brady.
"Pokemon wise you can see a lot of rock and ground types. It is rare but you could also see a Deino." said Andrew.
"Ok so it home to a lot of pokemon then." said Brady.
"Yeah you can say that." said Andrew.
"What was that?" asked Katie hearing a nosie that not only caught her attention but others and Lucario.
They all look over to see Lucario standing up looking around. All four of them get out of the water and start looking around as well. Andrew walks over to Lucario who was now focused on the entrence. The others walk over to Andrew. Lucario brings up both his paws looking ready for a fight.
"Andrew what is it?" asked Katie.
"I am not sure yet, but what ever it is it has caught Lucario's attention." said Andrew.
The other pokemon begun to get up and join Lucario. The four trainers walk over to their bags and grab their pokeballs, and return their pokemon. Andrew not only grabbed his pokeballs but put on his mega ring. Andrew returned all of his pokemon but Lucario who was still standing in front looking at the entrence. Brady, Emma and Katie followed suit and returned thier pokemon. They now rejoined Lucario. They are waiting to see what was going to walk in. When it finally did it was an Aggron. This paticular Aggron looked angry.
"It's an Aggron" said Andrew.
"Where is that from?" asked Katie.
"It must have came down from the Tioga mountains." said Andrew.
"What would drive it down like this?" asked Katie.
"I am not quite sure. I can say this whatever it is it has to been at the mountains." said Andrew.
Before a responce was given the wild Aggron charged at them with a full head of steam.
"Lucario stop him with aura sphere."
Lucario extends his left paw out in front of him and a ball of blue aura appear near palm. Lucario shots it at the wild Aggron. It had little or no effect on him as it charging at Lucario. The wild Aggron nails Lucario and sends him flying into the lake. The wild Aggron did not stop there he was now charinging at Katie. Andrew grabs her hand and pulls her into him for her not get hit by Aggron. Aggron stops right at the waters edge. Lucario jumps out of the water and to the left of Aggron.
"Are you ok Katie?" asked Andrew.
"Yeah thanks to you." said Katie.
Andrew lets her out of his arms and then focuses on the task at hand.
"Should I use my other mega stone." said Andrew to himself.
Andrew was the only one aware that not only that his Charizard had one, but so does his Lucario. Andrew rarely uses Luacrio's because Lucario can be become unstable. Andrew looked down at his mega ring. Andrew brings up his left hand and looks at Lucario. Lucario then runs infront of him.
"Ok Lucario here we go." said Andrew to himself.
He takes a second and then with his right hand presses the mega ring.
"Lucario, mega evolution." shouted Andrew.
Lucario becomes in cased in a sphere. The ground around the shpere gets get lifted up around it. After Lucario lets out a loud growl the sphere dispands and now Lucario looks considerably different. Lucario's cream colored fur has become longer. He has also devopled etra spikes on his paws. Lucario's appendages grew longer and two had red on their tips. He also had spikes on his shoulders. His aura heignthing increased. He know had black lines on his blue fur. As this was happening the wild Aggron manged to turn himself around. He now charged again at Lucario.
"Lucario aura sphere." said Andrew.
Lucario created two spheres this time one in each paw. He then brought the paws together and when he shot them off this time it became one large beam of blue. It stopped Agrron and pushed him all the near the lake front. Aggron was flat on his belly. Andrew grabs one of his pokeballs and tosses it at the Aggron. It wiggles once then again and for a third before it stopped. Andrew then quickly clicked his mega ring again to return Lucario to his normal self.
"What was that?" asked Katie who was the only one who actually saw a mega evoultion before.
"I will explain it to you after we get dress." said Andrew.
(30 minutes after the Aggron Incident)
Emma, Brady, Katie, and Andrew were sitting at the only table left from the raging Aggron. Andrew rolls up his sleeve and shows his mega ring.
"This is mega ring. It has the ability to evolve certain pokemon further then ever. How this is possible I do not know. All I do know is that certain pokemon need a certain stone to do so. In the case of my Lucario it is called a Lucarionite. This item gives Lucario an expectional power to evolve futher then ever mega evolution is many times more powerful then its pervious form. A pokemon cannot stay this way. He will only stay this way as long as he is outside of his ball, and durning the battle. A mega stone can only be found when you and a this pokemon have reached a certain level meaning once that pokemon and you can completle trust each other in any givin situation. The only way anyone can get a mega ring is from the mega guru, and finding is a mystry in itself." said Andrew.
"What other pokemon holds it?" asked Brady.
"His Charizard." said Katie.
"Katie is correct. My Charizard does, but other then that the guru did say there was a combined total of 26 mega evolutions. Seeing all them is a rareity. I am just glad I have seen the three I have." said Andrew.
"I thought you have two." said Brady.
"I do. The thrid one I seen belonged to the mega guru. His Mewtwo had one. The power that Mewtwo had was unbelivable. Its mega form took out five of my six pokemon. All that was left was Charizard. Before the battle the mega guru gave me the mega stone for Charizard and the mega ring. After evolving Charizard into his mega form I was able to beat Mewtwo." said Andrew.
Brady and Emma sat there looking at Andrew in disbelief even thought they did just see a mega evoultion. Katie kept thinking about the other pokemon that could have a mega evoultion.
"You three have already had a long day, so if you want I will take you back to Sacramento." said Andrew.
"No. We should continue on the way to Tioga Peak." said Brady.
"Ok if you three want to continue I will lead the way then." said Andrew.
After walking another 3 hours they made it to the Tioga mountain. They walked inside and stopped. Andrew took out some flashlights and gave Emma, Brady and Katie one.
"What are these for?" asked Brady.
"There is no light in this mountain. So you will need them to see anything." said Andrew.
(Inside Tigoa Mountain)
Once inside each of them turned their flashlights. And conitnue to follow Andrew deeper and deeper into the mountain. After walking for a little awhile they found a spot to get some rest.
"If any of you want you can go have a look around. Just stay together it is easy to get lost in here, and also do not go to deep into the mountain." said Andrew.
Emma and Brady stood up and walke off in search of any pokemon.
(Emma and Brady)
They walked around for about 10 minutes till they found a pokemon. Emma took out her pokedex and pointed it at that pokemon. The pokedex said:
"Roggenrola, the Mantle Pokémon. Roggenrola's body contains an energy core which is hard as steel from being compressed underground."
The Roggenrola looked at both of them and started walking off.
"Em if you are going to capture you better stop him." said Brady.
"Go Swanna." said Emma.
(Wild Pokemon Battle: Emma vs. Roggenrola)
"Swanna use water pulse."
Swann shot off a small ball of water at the Roggenrola. The wild Roggenrola created a sphere of green around which portected him from Swanna's attack. He then throws a small stone from the opening on his body at Swanna. Swanna watched the rock fly past her.
"Swanna use bubblebeam."
Swanna opened her beak and let out a fury of bubbles at the wild Roggenrola. The bubbles made contact with his body and he fell to the ground. Roggenrola stood back up and relased the rocks circleing his body at Swanna. Once the rocks hit Swanna she fell to the ground. Swanna was able to recover though and fought on.
"Swanna use wing attack."
Swanna dived at full speed at Roggenrola. Her wings started white, but by time she went for Roggenrola. They had became sliver color. She hit Roggenrola with one her left wing then hit his back when she flew back at him. The wild Roggenrola fell on his face. After seeing that Emma tossed a pokeball at him. It wiggled once then again, and finally it stopped. Emma had caught a Roggenrola.
"Lets head back to Andrew and Katie." said Brady.
They walked over to where Andrew and Katie where still sitting. Andrew and Katie were talking when Emma and Brady came back up. Andrew and Katie stood.
"Any luck?" asked Katie.
"I found and caught a Roggenrola." said Emma.
As that was said steel type pokemon begun to block all the paths for the four of them. In front stood two Lairon. to the left stood a Steelix. Behind them was two more Lairon, and to the right was another Aggron.
"What are we going to do?" asked Katie.
Andrew looks around to see what would be the best course of action. He then grabbed Lucario's pokeball to call him out. Katie grabbed her Vulpix's pokeball. Brady grabbed Growlithe, and Emma went for Combuksen. Andrew at each of the pokemon and could tell something was not right.
"Torkoal use lava plume." a man's voice said.
The Torkoal lifted his front two feet off the ground then slamed them back down. The ground around all the steel type pokemon became heated and fire was released from the ground. This made the steel type pokemon back off, and allowed Andrew, Katie, Emma, and Brady to get away from them. They met up with the person who saved them just a few minutes later.
"Thank you for saving us." said Andrew.
"It was nothing. It is my job as a pokemon ranger to help pokemon in need and the steel type pokemon here are in need." said the man.
"So your a pokemon ranger." said Andrew.
"Yes I am. My name is Noah. I am here with another ranger named Mickie. She is with the scientist up at Tioga Lake." said Noah.
"Nice to meet you Noah. I am Andrew. The one next to is Katie. And the two behind us woud be Emma and Brady." said Andrew.
"Follow me. I will lead to where I am staying." said Noah.
They walked over a small campsite just to the right of where they were.
"Noah why are you here?" asked Andrew.
"We have heard recent reports of steel type pokemon attacking campers around the here." said Noah.
"Then that would explain the Aggron we ran into earlier." said Andrew.
"What happened to that Aggron?" asked Noah.
"I caught it." said Andrew.
"That's good I guess. It pervents him from any damage." said Noah.
"Andrew I have a question. Can you help us out here?" asked Noah.
"I can and I will. I have seen the look in those pokemon's eyes it really pains me to see that." said Andrew.
"This could sound mean, but I just want your help not the other three." said Noah.
"Why just me?" asked Andrew.
"I know who you are Andrew Hanson. Not only I feel like you could be an asset but so does the scientist we are working with." said Noah.
"I see I will help, just let fly these three back to Sacramento then I will meet you back here." said Andrew.
"Ok thats fine. I shall let Mickie know you are helping. Since she is basically in charge here. She is a higher rank then me. She is a Top Ranger and will want to know you are with me." said Noah.
"Ok. I will be back in an hour." said Andrew.
"Remeber to bring climbing gear." said Noah.
"I will." said Andrew.
Andrew, Katie, Emma, and Brady walked out of the cave. Andrew called out his Flygon and Charizard. Emma and Brady got onto Charizard and Katie and Andrew got on Flygon. Both flew back to Sacramento. This flight took them another 30 mintues.
(Back in Sacramento)
"Why did he not want us?" asked Katie.
"He probably thought you would get in the way." said Andrew.
"We would not." said Katie.
"I know you would not, but he does not know that rather then trying to expalin it to him it would be best jsut to go with what said." said Andrew.
"I guess if you put it that way you are right. Just be careful up there." said Katie.
"I will. I should tell Dan that I have to cancel the battle tomorrow." said Andrew.
"Then we will leave you to that. We will see you when you get back then." said Katie.
"Same here." said Andrew walking off.
He walks around the pokemon center to the back to find Dan and Cat training.
"I hope I am not interrupting." said Andrew.
"Your not I am just doing some training." said Dan.
"I hate to do this but cancel our battle. I need to help with an issue happening at Tigoa mountain." said Andrew.
"I understand I am fine with canceling it then. I can see this issue is important to you." said Dan.
"It is the steel pokemon there are acting out for some reason, so I have teamed up with two pokemon rangers and a scientist to discover why. Dan we will battle, but not any time soon." said Andrew.
"That's fine." said Dan.
"Oh and Cat good luck tomorrow." said Andrew leaving.
"Thanks." said Cat.
After talking to them Andrew flew back to Yosemite. He then meet up with Noah. Noah was with Mickie and the scientist now.
(Back at Yosemite)
"Glad you made it back." said Mickie.
"You can say that." said Andrew.
They all back to the campsite and once there Andrew set up his tent.
"How long do you think we will be here Mickie?" asked Andrew.
"Atleast three days. Thats the allowed time we have to solve this." said Mickie.
"Ok then what's the plan?" asked Andrew.
"I will explain that to you tomorrow. Lets just enjoy the rest of the day." said Mickie.
"I do not like the idea that we are sleeping amoung the steel type pokemon." said Noah.
"You worry to much Noah. We will be ok for the night." said Mickie.
"Yeah we will be." said Andrew sitting down by the camp fire Noah set up.
It would look like Andrew will not be at the Contest that starts at the next chapter. It seems that something is happening inside Mt. Tioga. It has caught the intrest of two pokemon rangers as well as our Champion. Hopefully they will be able to solve the problem. Andrew to cancel the battle with Dan because in his mind the problem there is more important, and Dan understands that. The frist theory behind the steel pokemon acting out will be reveiled at the end of the next chapter by the scientist.
Trainer Update:
We now know Andrew has two mega pokemon.
