(Saturday Morning in DC)
Andrew is sitting in his office on his computer. He is the only one in today. Melissa went out with Morgan and Tina. Jen will be in later today to do some paper work. Andrew has his backpack plus an extra bag with a couple tents and all the necessary items to camp out. Just before he was about to leave his office he receives a phone call. He check his phone and to his surprise it is Hailey.
"Isn't it a little early to be calling me?" asked Andrew.
"Yeah I know I just wanted to know if we could talk?" asked Hailey.
"When?" asked Andrew.
"Right now I am in DC." said Hailey.
"Why are you here in DC?" asked Andrew.
"Just come outside the League I'm waiting for you," said Hailey.
Andrew walks out of his office and is about to leave the League till Jen stopped him.
"You do know it is the weekend you should be out right now," said Jen.
"I know I won't be here long I will be leaving in a little while," said Andrew.
"Ok I will see you when you get back then," said Jen walking over to her office.
Andrew walked outside and joined Hailey. Hailey hugged Andrew and they walked off.
"So what so important that you had to come to see me?" asked Andrew.
"I finally talked to Geoff and he told me he had decided to live in Russia," said Hailey.
"I'm sorry to hear that," said Andrew.
"I kinda figured that was going to happen he just didn't want to be here in the states. My only thought was to come talk to you and I guess that's why I flew out here last night," said Hailey.
"That's fine Hailey I'm your friend, and I will always be here for you," said Andrew.
"Thanks for that," said Hailey.
They continued to walk till they reached the Smithsonian. Once there they walked inside and walked around and checked out a lot of the old artifacts.
"So Andrew where are you going today?" asked Hailey.
"Do you remember where we went to train my mega pokemon?" asked Andrew.
"Yeah I do, Why?" asked Hailey.
"Well it's my turn to help the new mega ring holder. I'm taking him there," said Andrew.
"I see. So it seems you'll be busy then." said Hailey with a sad look on her face.
"Do you want to come with me?" asked Andrew.
"Yeah I would love to come too," said Hailey.
"I thought you would," said Andrew.
They left the Smithsonian and walked back to the Pokemon League and Hailey followed Andrew into his office.
"Who are we waiting for?" asked Hailey.
"Dan and Cat," said Andrew.
"Dan the new mega ring holder?" asked Hailey.
"Yes he is. He beat the odds against Mewtwo and now he must be aided on gaining control of his mega pokemon," said Andrew.
"Ok," said Hailey.
(Meanwhile in Southern Fried, Maryland)
"Dan do you have everything?" asked Cat.
"Yeah I do," said Dan.
Dan and Cat got onto Dan's Salamence and took off in the short flight to DC. Dan spent some of the flight looking at his wrist that has the mega ring on it.
"Dan," said Cat.
Dan did not give her a response he seemed a little bit distracted from all the events that unfolded yesterday, and the mysterious that are about to unfold.
"Dan," said Cat again with concern in her voice.
Still he just sat on Salamence looking at the mega ring. That was till Cat touched his shoulder and brought him back into reality.
"Is something wrong Daniel you seem really distracted, this is really unlike you" said Cat with a look of concern still on her face.
"I'm fine Cat. I'm just unsure of what to expect when I see Mega Blaziken again. He was fine the first time I used him, but this time could be different. I keep thinking about what if I can't control him and he does harm to someone like you," said Dan.
"Dan, Andrew will be there to prevent that from happening, and also I can defend myself," said Cat.
"I guess you're right, and to think about it the benefits out way the risks," said Dan.
After having that conversation they arrive in DC. Dan tells Salamence to land at the entrance of the Pokemon League. After landing Dan gets off and then helps Cat off an return's Salamence. Cat had here two cheering pokemon on her shoulders and they walk into the Pokemon League. They walk over to the front where a secretary was seated on the computer.
"Hello mam I am here looking for Andrew," said Dan.
"Let me page his office and see if he's in and if he isn't I have no idea were he might be," said the secretary.
The Secretary pressed a button on the phone and the phone started ringing. After about 3 minutes of straight ringing the Secretary got his machine.
"It appears he is not in at the moment. I would check back later," said the Secretary.
"He told me to meet him here. Is there any thing else you can do?" asked Dan.
"I can page the Commissioner and see if she knows where he might be," said the Secretary.
"That would be fine," said Dan.
The Secretary presses one on her phone rather then two. A few seconds of ringing and Jen picked up.
"Jen do you know where Andrew is?" asked the Secretary.
"Unfortunately I do not, I do know he left, but I thought he came back. Check the training arena, and if he is not there call his cell. He should answer that," said Jen.
"Thank you Jen," said the Secretary hanging up the phone.
The Secretary returned her attention back to Dan and Cat. Who were waiting to her what the secretary had to say.
"You two can follow me and we can go check the training arena," said the Secretary.
Dan, Cat, and the Secretary walked past the other office's and walked past the first four arena's which were typically used during battles at the League and they made it to a small arena where most Andrew and his elite would train. They walked in and there they found Andrew training with his Lucario. After leading them in the Secretary left and walked back to here post at the front of the League.
(In the Training Arena)
"Lucario use aura sphere," ordered Andrew.
Lucario made spheres in each hand and once he brought both hands together he sent a large beam of aura at the test dummy. Once the attack hit the dummy it exploded with a loud thud which sent Cat's two Cheering pokemon under her hair.
"Wow," said Dan looking over where the test dummy once stood. " I have not seen that type of power from a Lucario except when mine is in Hyper Mode."
Andrew turned around and seen Dan and Cat standing in the doorway. Andrew's Lucario ran over next to him and looked somewhat exhausted, but yet he still stood strong and powerful. His Lucario had a blue aura frame around him. Dan's eyes looked over his Lucario and could tell that his Lucario must be in his Mega form. Hailey walked from the other area where she was practicing a new Appeal which she hopes to unveil at the Grand Festival as long as it is ready. She walks over to Andrew.
"That power sure is impressive," said Hailey.
"Thanks Lucario and I have to keep working on it. It will only get better," said Andrew.
Dan and walk over to him. It sent his Lucario into an attack stance.
"It's fine Lucario they're friendly," said Andrew.
Lucario lowered his guard.
"Sorry about that Lucario here can be very overprotective," said Andrew.
"It's fine, I take it you are working with his Mega Form," said Dan.
"That would be right," said Andrew.
"He sure is strong in that form," said Dan.
Andrew pressed his mega ring and his Lucario returned to normal. Andrew then returned him and took his baseball cap off.
"Good job earning your mega ring," said Andrew.
"Thanks, How could you tell?" asked Dan.
"The item on your right hand says it all," said Andrew.
"It was a hard fought victory to earn it," said Dan thinking back to his tough battle with Mega Mewtwo.
"We will finish this conversation in my office. So follow me," said Andrew.
Andrew lead them to his office and opened the door and let them inside and shut the door behind him.
(In Andrew's Office)
"Now where were we. Now I remember I was explaining something." said Andrew before he continued on. "The tough part is over now helping your Blaziken to fully control his Mega Form is next, I must warn you all of us will be isolated from the real world for about a week or more. Where we are going there will be no cell phone reception. I find it easier to conquer Mega evolution without any outside distractions. It won't be easy, but after you do it is well worth it. I think I have said enough now we best be going,"
"Do we get a map where we are going?" asked Dan.
"No, I just hope you can keep up with my Flygon. You don't want to get lost out there. You may be lost for awhile," said Andrew.
Before they left his office Dan handed Andrew the map he gave him back. Andrew set it on his desk and grabbed his bags that were in the corner of his office and they walked out of it. Andrew locked the door and lead them out to the front of the League.
(Outside the League)
"Go Flygon," said Andrew.
"Salamence, time for battle," said Dan.
Flygon lowered himself to allow Andrew to climb on his back. After Andrew did so Hailey climbed on as well. Dan and Cat climbed on to his Salamence and they took off in the direction of Hawaii. They had been flying for about 2 hours before they stopped in Los Angeles, CA for a lunch. In the restaurant Cat and Hailey did not say one word to each other. Throughout lunch Andrew and Dan talked about Mega Evolutions. Andrew shared some of his knowledge about when to use mega evolution.
"I recommend you don't use mega evolution in every battle. Just in times of need, or when you or someone else is in danger," said Andrew.
"Why?" asked Dan.
"No one is really sure what to expect if you were to use it all the time. A person I have talked to about it did say that there is a possibility that it could tire a pokemon and his trainer out," said Andrew.
"Why would it tire a trainer?" asked Dan.
"With mega evolution both trainer and pokemon are connected," said Andrew.
"How do you know that?" asked Dan.
"I was told by the guru when I received my second mega stone. I still would love to know more about mega evolutions altogether, but basically mega evolution is a mystery," said Andrew.
"How do you even earn another mega stone?" asked Dan.
"Like the guru said you don't earn them they choose who gets them," said Andrew.
They finish eating lunch. Andrew pay's for it and they leave the restaurant to continue to the island. Andrew slowed down Flygon to yell at Dan to make sure he was heard because it is windy.
"This last hour of flying will be hard, we will be caught up in a storm. We have to get through it in order to reach the island. It is always raining on and around this island," yelled Andrew.
"Why?" yelled Dan back.
"I don't know why it has baffled scientist and meteorologist alike," yelled Andrew.
"Ok," yelled Dan.
"Just stay close and whatever you do. Don't stop flying you will get through it," said Andrew.
(Near the Island)
The storm around intensified as they got closer and closer. Andrew was going off memory to get to the island. After leaving LA they made it to the island in about 2 hours. It took them longer then expected because of the storm around the island. Once they made it to the island they landed near a cave where they will set up camp for the deration of time they will be there. At least the storm has let up over the island and it was a clear day.
(Inside the Cave)
Andrew took off his trenched rain coat and set aside. Hailey did the exact same thing, as did Dan and Cat. Andrew gave Flygon an Aspear Berry and a Wigbi Berry. The Aspear warmed him up and the Wigbi healed him up a bit.
"Does Salamence need it?" asked Andrew to Dan.
"What type are they?" asked Dan back.
"One is Aspear and the other is Wigbi," said Andrew.
"Yeah, she will take a few," said Dan.
Andrew walked over to him and handed him two berries he gave his Salamence them and she ate them right up.
"Andrew why did you give berries to your pokemon?" asked Hailey.
"Flygon had just flown right through a cold storm and the Aspear berry warms up the body most of the time Aspear is used on nearly frozen pokemon to defrost them. The Wigbi is an overall healer, I use this berry anytime my pokemon work hard. It tastes sweet and basically my pokemon think of it as a reward, but it isn't they really help." said Andrew.
"Hailey why don't you take Dan and Cat around to collect firewood while I set up camp for the night," said Andrew.
"I can do that," said Hailey standing up.
Dan and Cat got up as well and followed Hailey out of the cave. Hailey showed them around as well as collected firewood.
"Why don't I see any pokemon?" asked Dan.
"Because of the constant raining the island is hard on pokemon to live on. Pokemon are here, but most of the time they find you, you don't find them," said Hailey.
"What about water pokemon?" asked Dan.
"That completely depends on the current of the ocean. Sometimes its terrible other time its calm," said Hailey.
The three of them collected enough wood and walked back over to the cave where Andrew had set up the two tents set up and a place of the firewood to go. He also had a pot and couple cans of food out.
"I should explain how tomorrow is going to work. Dan and I will head over to the waterfall near the center of the island. We will do all our training there. We will be spending hours daily there in hope to mastering mega evolution in a weeks time. We can go longer, but a week should be fine. The training will be hard and it will test the bond between you and Blaziken. This all starts tomorrow," said Andrew.
"Blaziken and I are ready to begin," said Dan.
"That's good to here, but tonight we have to get a good night's rest to be ready for the hard work coming tomorrow," said Andrew.
Andrew opened the cans of beans and poured them into the pot and set them over the open fire. He left the beans there for a short period of time.
"You two did bring sleeping bags?" asked Andrew.
"Yeah we did," said Dan.
"Then go ahead and set them in your tent," said Andrew.
After doing so Dan and Cat rejoined Andrew and Hailey around the fire. Andrew dished out the beans to everyone and they ate. After eating Andre collected the bowls and set them aside for the evening.
"I should warn everyone not to walk out of the cave at night without a pokemon with you, since it is very dangerous at night," said Andrew.
After hearing the warning Dan and Cat went into the tent they were sharing and went to bed. Andrew and Hailey still sat around the fire and talked some more.
"I remember the first time you were here Andrew. You were anxious to get it started and if I remember you didn't sleep that night," said Hailey.
"I remember that too. It was so funny thinking back to that," said Andrew.
"Andrew thanks for inviting me to come. It allows me to forget about Geoff and move on," said Hailey.
"Any time my friend," said Andrew.
Andrew put the fire out before Hailey and himself found their way into the their tent for the night. For a change it was a quiet it night. It has been a long day for the four of them and tomorrow is going to be even longer.
(Early Sunday Morning)
Andrew awoke to his mega ring flashing once again. He grabbed it and his pokeballs and walked out. Once outside the cave he was greeted by Mewtwo and the Mega Guru.
"Good Morning Andrew," said the Mega Guru.
"I wasn't expecting to see you two so soon after another person has received a mega ring," said Andrew.
"That's not the reason I'm here. I'm here since I have seen trouble in the future for," said the guru.
"What do you mean by that?" asked Andrew.
"A certain evil will begin an expedition to my home and trample on all that is good. In hope of finding something that doesn't belong to them," said the guru.
"I wouldn't have even thought that DD would be after Mega Evolution, I thought there main focus is on the Legendary Pokemon," said Andrew.
"In DD there are tension among the ranks. Some are after a pokemon that rests so close to us now. And the others are looking to find away to beat you and take control of the League and force trainers to do horrible things," said the guru.
"We cannot let them get ahold of a mega stone and mega ring to force one of their pokemon to mega evolve," said Andrew.
"Andrew you cannot change something that is bound in time to happen,. All you can do is prepare yourself for whoever does take it and goes after you," said the guru.
"I will prepare myself," said Andrew.
"You will not tell Dan, We don't want to concern him yet of the impending troubles. He is aware of the sleeping giants, but nothing more nothing less. This is a battle you have to fight," said the guru.
"Can you at least tell me who is after the mega evolution?" asked Andrew.
"You already know who it is. He is the last person to battle you," said the guru.
"You mean it is Marco?" asked Andrew.
"Unfortunately, I cannot tell you if you are right or wrong, but I can say if he does go for it I fill he might be endangering himself along with many other pokemon," said the guru.
"I will stop him if he does," said Andrew.
"You cannot lose focus on what you must do now. Help Dan conquer mega evolution and he will become a powerful ally," said the guru.
"I will," said Andrew.
"Good luck Andrew, I will see you later" said the guru disappearing.
Andrew walked back into his tent grabbed a fresh pair of clothes and got dressed and went ahead to the waterfall to get some training in before everyone wakes up. While training Andrew thought of which one of Marco's pokemon could mega evolve, but he was stumped. The only one he could thing of is Metagross. After getting some training in he walked back to the cave. Everyone else was just getting up when he got back. He had more firewood in his hands.
"How did everyone sleep?" asked Andrew.
"I slept fine," said Dan.
"So did I, said Cat.
"I slept on a rock. I don't remember the last time I camped out," said Hailey.
"I'm glad to hear everyone got some sleep. We have a long day ahead Dan," said Andrew.
"Andrew, you sure was up early," said Hailey.
"I had to do something," said Andrew.
"With that said let's eat," said Hailey.
"Here we can eat this," said Andrew handing out some apples.
"What are we doing today?" asked Dan.
"Once you're done eating we will get to it," said Andrew.
They finished eating the apples Andrew found. They walked over to the small pond inside the cave to was up and get ready for the day. After getting ready they returned to the campsite where Andrew was waiting.
"Now Dan and myself are going to get some training in. Cat and Hailey you two are to stay here. You can walk around a little but please do not interrupt, unless it's an emergency. We will be back before night fall," said Andrew.
"I'll make some dinner while you're gone," said Hailey.
Andrew walked outside and waited for Dan outside while he talked to Cat.
"You can't leave me here alone with her," said Cat.
"I have to Cat. I really want to get this training done. Like he said we will be back before nightfall. Just play nice," said Dan.
"Fine," said Cat.
Dan walked over to where Andrew was standing and they left towards the direction of the waterfall to start the training.
(At the Waterfall)
"Let me explain what we are doing today. The key to mega evolution is the connection/trust you have with your Blaziken. The goal of today's training is to test that trust. You are going to blindfold your Blaziken. Then my Lucario will attack your Blaziken. Not with attacks, but with hand to hand combat. The goal is for you to tell your Blaziken which direction to go in order to dodge Lucario's attacks. Every time Blaziken is hit you and him will do 25 squats," said Andrew.
"Ok we're are ready," said Dan calling out Blaziken.
"Lucario, go," said Andrew.
Andrew then takes out a piece of cloth that will be used to blindfold Blaziken. He walks over to hand and hands it to him. Dan walks over to Blaziken. Blaziken kneels down in order for Dan to Blindfold him.
"You ready?" asked Andrew.
"Yes we are," said Dan.
"Lucario you can go ahead and do it," said Andrew.
Lucario rushed over to Blaziken and started to attack him. Lucario did one paw after another. Each time Dan gave Blaziken a command to avoid the hit. Blaziken followed it. That was till Andrew told Lucario to step it up a notch. Blaziken was then hit twice before Dan found a way to avoid both hits.
"Lucario go ahead and let up," said Andrew.
Lucario stopped the barrage of attacks and ran back over to Andrew.
"Now what?" asked Dan.
"We are going to change it up a little. This time around my Lucario will attack you from any direction this time around my Lucario will use moves. You have to tell your Blaziken to either dodge the attack or stop it," said Andrew.
"Ok I got it," said Dan.
"Lucario get into a tree." said Andrew.
Lucario jumped into a tree and was ready to attack. Blaziken waited for his trainer to give him a command.
"Lucario use aura sphere," said Andrew.
"Blaziken jump over the attack to dodge it."
Lucario shot off a blue sphere attack from his paws right at Blaziken. Blaziken jumped over the attack in order to dodge the attack. Lucario jumped over to another random spot and did the exact same thing. Again Blaziken either attacked it accordingly or dodge it.
(A couple of Hours Later)
"I think we are done for the day," said Andrew.
"What about using mega evolution?" asked Dan.
"Like I said earlier the goal of today's training is to test trust. Tomorrow we will begin to use Mega Blaziken," said Andrew.
"Ok, that sounds good," said Dan.
"Let's head back to the cave before it starts raining again. We have to be careful on the walk back. We are being watched," said Andrew
"Who is watching us?" asked Dan.
"Look to the east of us. You will see a pack of Mightyena. As long as we don't interfere with them they will not do anything to us," said Andrew.
"They're just protecting their territory," said Dan.
They walked back to the cave. Once back Hailey had dinner ready. the other three looked down at what was in there bowl and it didn't look appetizing one bit. It was a dark green color and the broth was also green.
"I like green soup as much as the next person, but what did you do to it?" asked Andrew.
"I haven't had to cook over an open fire in awhile so I may have overcooked it some," said Hailey.
"Some?" asked Andrew.
"Fine a little more then some," said Hailey.
"It's ok I have prepared for such an occasion. I brought ready to eat meals. All we have to do is just add water," said Andrew.
"What flavors do you have?" asked Dan.
"I have chicken noodle soup, Lasagna, Spaghetti and meatballs, Salisbury steak, chicken and fries, and for dessert ice cream," said Andrew.
"I guess I will have chicken noodle soup," said Dan.
"I'll take the same," said Cat.
"Well I guess I will have Salisbury steak," said Andrew.
"I will have spaghetti then," said Hailey.
Andrew walked into his tent and opened his bag and took out the meals and a few bottles of water and returned to the campfire where the other were. He then handed everyone their meals, a bottle of water, and a spoon to eat with. They each made their meals and then ate them. After eating Andrew then grabbed the bag of ice cream and handed some to each of them.
"It wasn't the worst meal I have ever eaten," said Dan.
"I know that. I have had my school's lunch. That is terrible to eat," said Andrew.
"Yeah I remember those lunches, I think what I made would've tasted better," said Hailey.
"Well I have had a long day so I think I will be getting some sleep I will see you all tomorrow," said Andrew.
After Andrew went to bed it left Hailey, Dan and Cat in front of the campfire. They stayed there for another hour before going to sleep.
"How long have you two been friends?" asked Hailey.
"We have known each other since middle school," said Dan.
"I take it you two have done everything together," said Hailey.
"Yeah we have," said Cat.
"What about you and Andrew?" asked Dan.
"Well I have known Andrew since we were little. We both lived and grew up in the same town, but our friendship didn't really take off till we were in trainer's school. We traveled the region together and both took part in our respective tournaments. After he became Champion we stopped traveling together. This is the first time in awhile that I actually traveled with him, since he became Champion," said Hailey.
"It sounds like your guy's journey last year sounds like ours this year," said Dan.
"I guess it does," said Hailey.
"You must know how to beat Andrew then since you have traveled with him?" asked Dan.
"Actually I don't Andrew has changed so much since the last time I watched him battle," said Hailey.
"What do you mean by that?" asked Dan.
"Andrew's demeanor has changed so much since we last traveled. He..." said Hailey before she was interrupted by Andrew walking out of the tent.
"That's enough. I don't think you need to tell them anymore about me," said Andrew.
"Fine I won't," said Hailey.
Andrew walked back into the tent and Hailey shared one more thing about Andrew before she went to bed.
"As blunt as Andrew is at most times. He does respect everyone the same. With Andrew he would rather spend an hour with pokemon then with other people he doesn't really know. And trust me when I say that Andrew has always been very outspoken. He just calls it as he sees it. You can't take offense to anything he says. It is just him. He is a great trainer, but he doesn't always think about the consequence of what he says," said Hailey before leaving.
"Well let's get some sleep," said Dan putting out the fire.
They went into their tent and went to bed as well. As they slept another storm blew over and by time they woke the next morning it was sunny again.
(Monday Morning)
Just like yesterday morning Andrew woke before everyone else. He sat in front of where the fire was lit last night and begun to drift into deep thought about the events the mega guru warned him about yesterday. He was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard Hailey exit the tent and say good morning.
"Andrew are you there?" asked Hailey trying to get Andrew's attention.
"Sorry I was thinking about something," said Andrew.
"You're not mad at me?" asked Hailey.
"No," said Andrew.
"That's good," said Hailey.
"I need to work him harder then yesterday. I need to get back to DC," said Andrew.
"What's the rush?" asked Hailey.
"I have urgent business to attend to. Right now that is my main focus. Expect for this I understand why I have to help Dan," said Andrew.
"I will go make some breakfast," said Hailey gathering some berries.
After they finished their conversation Dan and Cat woke and joined Andrew at the sight of last night's fire.
"Morning you two," said Andrew.
"Morning," said Dan and Cat simultaneously.
After gathering berries Hailey made a berry bowl for everyone for breakfast. They ate it up and Andrew and Dan left quickly after.
(Back at the Waterfall)
"You ready for today's training?" asked Andrew.
"Yeah, what are we doing?" asked Dan.
"The best way to train a mega pokemon is to train with another mega pokemon. So I was thinking we put Mega Blaziken vs. my Mega Charizard X. This will test how Mega Blaziken will work. This not a real battle more of a training battle," said Andrew.
"Ok whenever you are ready I am too," said Dan.
"We will have no ref or anything I will call the match when one of our pokemon have had enough," said Andrew.
"Ok," said Dan.
"Then lest not waste anymore time," said Andrew.
(Training Battle: Mega Blaziken vs. Mega Charizard)
"Blaziken, time for battle," said Dan.
"Charizard, go" said Andrew.
"Blaziken mega evolution," said Dan as he touched his mega ring.
"Charizard mega evolution," said Andrew as he did the exact same thing.
Both Charizard and Blaziken became in cased in a sphere of fire. Blaziken's yellow feather's on his legs turned red, the red feathers turned black. The feathery "hairs" on Blaziken's head pointed upward in a wing shape. As the sphere of flames broke the flames on his arms extended out considerably and blow in the wind. Charizard on the other hand who is normally orange became black, his wings became a darker blue and much more rigid, and the flame on his tail became blue as well.
"Now Charizard show him flamethrower," said Andrew.
"You do the same Blaziken," said Dan.
Blaziken shot a large stream of orange fire at Charizard. While Charizard bellowed out a dark blue flame that matched the intensity of Blaziken's flamethrower. As the flames meet they were even in power and strength. Both mega pokemon kept up the intensity of their attacks. Finally Blaziken had to let up and he took the flamethrower from Charizard.
"Blaze uppercut combo," said Dan.
"That won't work on me Charizard use heat wave," said Andrew.
Blaziken moved quicker then normal to try to land an attack to Charizard who was in the sky flapping his wings. Each flap Charizard did he unleased waves of blue flames at Blaziken who also managed to at least land sky uppercut on Charizard. Before Blaziken could use blaze kick he was sent back to the ground by head wave.
"Blaziken maybe faster then Charizard, but Blaziken cannot compare to Charizard's pure power. Show him Charizard, use flare blitz," said Andrew.
Once Blaziken got back to his feet he was hit by Charizard who was surrounded by blue flames. The power of the attack sent Blaziken into the water behind Dan but as quick as he went in he jumped out and back onto the rocks. Blaziken was breathing heavily after the short bath he took while Charizard took the damage from the recoil.
"That flare blitz is more powerful then a normal flare blitz. Why?" asked Dan.
"Just like Mega Blaziken has speed boast ability. Mega Charizard has Tough Claws which increases the damage dealt when he makes physical contact," said Andrew.
"I see," said Dan.
"I think your Blaziken has had enough. He looks tired," said Andrew.
"Yeah I think we are," said Dan.
Both trainers pressed their mega rings and returned their pokemon to their normal form.
"Tomorrow we will focus on Mega Blaziken's ability, and put you and him through an obstacle course," said Andrew.
"When will we battle Mega pokemon again?" asked Dan.
"I don't think we are. Not for awhile at least. We need to get you more familiar with him and what mega pokemon can do. So the best course of action is to keep to doing drills," said Andrew.
"Ok I get it. Your Charizard has more experience under his belt with mega evolution while my Blaziken is still mastering it," said Dan.
"Exactly, once you master it we will battle again, but not here," said Andrew.
"I see," said Dan.
"Let's head back now," said Andrew.
(Back at the Cave)
Andrew and Dan walked back to the cave. Once there the two girls were no where to be seen.
"Where did they?" asked Dan.
"I bet they are working on Contest moves," said Andrew.
"Yeah they probably are," said Dan.
They continued to walk to a clearing where Hailey and Cat were. Both Coordinators were working just as hard if not harder than Andrew and Dan were. They just watched as they continued to on with it. They stopped when they had noticed Andrew and Dan watching.
"I see you two kept busy," said Andrew.
"Yeah we have been," said Hailey.
"Well if you two are done let's go eat some lunch," said Andrew.
"I thought you would be back later," said Hailey.
"We did enough today. Blaziken needs some rest we worked him hard," said Andrew.
The four of them walked back to the cave and gathered around a fire Hailey made earlier. After getting to the cave it started to rain heavily. There was no way they could do anything more now.
"Do you all want to hear the theory of this island?" asked Andrew.
"Yeah I would," said Dan.
"This island use to be part of Hawaii that was till it was broken of by the titan of the ground known as Groudon. When he was fighting Kyorge he caused a massive earthquake that split apart Hawaii and because of the unpleasant water Kyorge caused this island drifted off into the Pacific Ocean. The island moving isolated the pokemon on this island which caused them to change from aggressive to much more passive. Not many know about this island because they are unaware of the location. It is also rumored that Kyorge himself calls a cavern near this island his resting spot, and the rest is history," said Andrew.
The rain intensified even more and it made it impossible for them to leave the cave they are in.
"Have you explored this cave?" asked Dan.
"Yeah I have. There are some weird paintings of the giants it depicts them destroying Hawaii. It also shows that a green dragon from the sky stopped them and forced them back to sleep. If you want we can take a look at it," said Andrew.
Andrew got up and the other did the same and he took them deep into the cave to where the paining on the wall was. All of them looked at the painting for a couple of minutes. Groudon and Kyorge looked different then the other paintings people have seen. It showed the two legendary pokemon in their primal form. After seeing this painting they walked back over to their campsite where they stayed the rest of the evening.
Dan finally got to work with his mega pokemon and what better way to test it then against Andrew's mega pokemon. The battle looked pretty even. That was till Blaziken took flare blitz. We will have one more chapter of this before going back to the main story. I do plan to begin my next story tomorrow or Sunday after football. (Glad Football is back). They also seen a glimpse of the two primal pokemon.
