I don't own Ben 10 characters.

''You are safe in the citadel. My enemies won't harm you here. I'll eventually defeat them. They are never going to imprison me for conquering the Null Void,'' D'Void said to two baby Null Guardians. He smiled at them. He viewed them holding stuffed animals in their crib.

D'Void walked to his bed and collapsed on it. He watched as the babies rested. The Null Guardians were the last things he saw before he closed his eyes.

D'Void eventually woke up at a snail's pace. He sat up before he saw fire in his chamber. His jaw dropped as his eyes became bigger.
Fire began to spread in the room. D'Void viewed one of his enemies holding a torch and running in the hall. His body trembled after he scowled.
*My enemies are not going to kill me. They won't survive in the citadel* he thought.

Worry filled D'Void's eyes after he looked around the room. *I don't see my babies here. I also don't hear them at all. They probably flew far from the citadel* he thought.

D'Void ran out of the room. ''GIIIIRRLLLS!'' he shouted after he was in the hall. He never heard a single reply. ''GIIIIRRLLLLS!'' he repeated.

A smile formed on D'Void's face after the babies flew to him. ''Girls,'' he said. A frown began to replace his smile. ''We have to get out of here,'' he said.

D'Void gasped as soon as the Null Guardians flew in another direction. ''Return to me this instant!'' he said. He wondered if they were going to search for their stuffed animals.

Fire emerged from the chamber and began to spread in the hall.

''GIRLS!'' D'Void shouted. His smile returned after the babies flew above fire. He frowned again. ''You never obtained your stuffed animals,''
he said. D'Void continued to focus on the Null Guardians' empty tentacles. ''I will get new stuffed animals later.''

D'Void tried to embrace the Null Guardians before they flew from him. Confusion caused him to tilt his head to one side. He followed them out of the citadel. They flew to either side of the citadel.

D'Void grinned as adult Null Guardians chased the enemy responsible for burning his home. ''End his life slowly and painfully, my pets,'' he said. His grin disappeared the minute he saw the burning citadel. Tears streamed down his face before he sobbed. The fire consumed the citadel and everything in it. He turned his head and saw the babies. Another smile appeared on his wet face.

The babies vanished.

After gasping again, D'Void stepped back. *The infants never survived the fire?* he thought. D'Void faced the citadel. At least what was left of it. D'Void saw the ground. He gasped another time.

The baby Null Guardians' charred corpses embraced stuffed animals.
