(Monday Evening by the Campsite)
Andrew and Hailey walked ahead of Dan and Cat while going back to the campsite.
"How much did you tell them about me?" Andrew asked with an unpleased look on his face.
"Not much I didn't tell them much that most already don't know about you," said Hailey.
"Ok I think I will share some more when we get back to the campsite then," said Andrew.
After walking some time they made it to the campsite that looked like it had been ravaged by a pack of wild pokemon. Both tents were torn to shreds. All their food had been either eaten or stolen. The fire was out so it left everyone cold and somewhat hungry. Andrew walked over to his extra bag and that too was bitten right through to the MRE's which all of were gone. Whatever hit their campsite left nothing but some berries that were half eaten.
"Damn, this never happens here," said Andrew with a look of displeasure.
"I thought most of the pokemon on this island are passive," said Hailey.
"If I had to guess it would be the pack of Mightyena we saw earlier. I would've thought they would be out of the rain, but I guess..." said Andrew before everyone heard growling from the entrance of the cave.
The four of them run over to the entrance and see the pack of 10 Mightyena walk in to the cave drenched and wet. The two Alpha's were growling trying to scare us out of the cave.
"These Mightyena don't look like ones that actually live here," said Andrew.
"Then where could they be from?" asked Dan.
"I don't know. There are no way any other trainer could get here," said Andrew.
"That is were I disagree Andrew," said a mysterious voice from outside.
The same person walks in with a group of minions. The uniforms were not DD they looked different. The uniforms were all black and most covered their mouth with a black mask. The only one that didn't have this black mask on was the man doing all the talking.
"Whoever you are this island has been undisturbed for centuries. Why are you here?" asked Andrew.
"I don't care how much this place matters to you I want what you have on your wrist. I plan to take by force if I have to," said the mysterious voice.
"I know that voice. It's Marco," said Dan.
"How perceptive you are Daniel," said Marco.
"If you want my mega ring you are going to have to use force I won't go down without a fight. I can guarantee you that," said Andrew.
"I would've thought you would go with ease," said Marco.
Marco signaled his minions to attack with their Mightyena. Andrew called out Lucario. Dan choose Sceptile. Cat went with Vaporeon, and Hailey went with Jolteon.
"Marco you want to see mega evolution I will gladly show it to you," said Andrew pressing his mega ring. "Lucario Mega Evolution,"
Lucario was encased in a sphere of his own aura. The camping supplies that were around the cave became lifted into the air. Before all the aura disappears Lucario lets out a loud growl which startled the pokemon in the trees outside. Lucario looked considerably different. Lucario's cream colored fur has become longer. He has also developed extra spikes on his paws. Lucario's appendages grew longer and two had red on their tips. He also had spikes on his shoulders. His aura heignthing increased. He know had black lines on his blue fur.
"Lucario show him an aura sphere," said Andrew.
Two sphere that would normally be an aura sphere formed in his paws. He brought both paws together and sent a beam of aura at the Mightyena. The aura beam sent the pack of Mightyena flying outside the cave. None of them got back up. Two more Mightyena tried to attack Lucario, but a leaf blade iron tail combo from Dan's Sceptile made short work of them. Marco had a look of amusement on his face.
"Sir, most of the Mightyena are out what are we going to do now?" asked a minion just to the left of Marco.
"I will deal with them," said Marco.
"I want to take him on," said Dan.
"Are you sure Dan?" asked Andrew.
"Yes I am," said Dan.
"If you plan on using it just be careful," said Andrew.
"I know I will," said Dan.
Marco walked outside beside him was his minions. Dan, Andrew, Hailey, and Cat followed him out. The space outside the cave gave the battlers enough space to do battle.
"I am squash you and Blaziken this like a bug," said Marco grapping a pokeball.
"This time around I'm not going to allow that," said Dan.
Cat was right by his side and she will stay there as he battled Marco. Andrew and Hailey prevented the minions from interrupting this match, but before it continued Andrew returned Lucario to his normal form.
(Dan vs. Marco)
"I should warn you Dan since I joined them I have gained new pokemon and more power then before so I do hope have something to beat me," said Marco.
"I will beat you this time and this will allow me to beat you," said Dan holding up his mega ring.
"A weak trainer like you has a mega ring. I wonder why that old man gave you one. He felt guilty of how weak you are and gave it to you," said Marco.
"Don't let him under your skin Dan," shouted Andrew from behind Marco.
"I don't plan too," said Dan.
"Go, Trevenant" said Marco.
"Sceptile, time for battle," said Dan.
"Trevenant use X-Scissor,"
"Sceptile dodge it and use Leaf Blade,"
Sceptile darted to the left to avoid Trevenant's glowing yellow branches for arms. Sceptile then darted at him with his blades on his arms glowing green. He slashed Trevenant twice with each blade. Not much damage was dealt to Trevenant because he was part grass.
"Trevenant use will-o-wisp,"
"Sceptile dodge then use iron tail,"
Sceptile again used his speed to his advantage an dodged the bluish-white flame orbs that Trevenant made in front of his trunk-like hands. Sceptile then darted at Trevenant and slammed his iron coated tail at him. It had seemed that is what Marco wanted Dan to do since Sceptile was trapped in Trevenant's arms.
"Sceptile use night slash to free yourself,"
"Trevenant use shadow ball,"
Sceptile's leaf-like blades became a dark black color and he slashed at Trevenant's tree body. The attack freed Sceptile, but it didn't stop Trevenant from attacking Sceptile with a direct shadow ball. The shadow ball nailed Sceptile in the gut and sent him back towards his trainer. Sceptile was quickly able to recover from the shadow ball, Trevenant on the other hand still felt the damage that night slash had delivered to his body.
"Trevenant use recover,"
"Deliver another night slash quickly Sceptile,"
Sceptile used his speed to dart at Trevenant who was trying to recover from the recent attack. Sceptile's blades again were a dark black color and he hit Trevenant in the trunk twice before the Trevenant fell over. Marco's smile changed from happy to disappointment as he returned his Trevenant.
"Go, Tyranitar," said Marco.
After Tyranitar stepped foot on the ground a crazy sandstorm was brewed up. Sceptile's vision was now blurred along with Dan's. Marco put on a pair of glasses that allowed him to see through all the sand that is flying around.
"Sceptile we need to be careful this sandstorm is making everything harder to see," said Dan.
"Scept, Sceptile," (Translation: I know that) said Sceptile.
"Tyranitar use hyper beam,"
"Sceptile dodge it,"
A beam of dark orange energy went at Sceptile. Sceptile looked around and tried to fine where the attack was coming from in order to dodge it. By time Sceptile noticed the attack was coming at it was to late and Sceptile was blasted back. As he was in the air Dan returned him.
"Swampert, time for battle," said Dan.
"How are you going to beat my sandstorm Dan?" teased Marco.
"I don't plan to I know where Tyranitar is I just have to make my attack count," said Dan.
Marco didn't flinch knowing Dan's plan know.
"Swampert use hydro pump,"
Swampert unleashed a torrent of water at the Tyranitar who was still recovering from using hyper beam just seconds ago. The torrent of water hits Tyranitar and he falls over after taking the direct hit. The sandstorm also stopped after Marco returned him.
"Sir we have to go now," said one of the minions.
"Well Dan it's been fun but I must be going. Till next time and Andrew I will get a mega ring just you wait," said Marco walking off.
(After the Battle)
"What are we going to do now?" asked Dan towards Andrew.
Andrew looked around to see most of the camp gone. He took a minute to take it all in before saying anything.
"I have a League ship near here we will just go to that tonight, and tomorrow we will return state side," said Andrew.
"What about my training?" asked Dan.
"I don't know yet, but one I do need to do is Mika. If they were after me they have to be after her as well," said Andrew.
Andrew called out his Flygon and Dan called out Salamence. Andrew and Hailey got onto Flygon and Dan and Cat go onto Salamence and they took off just north of the island to a mysterious boat. They landed on the boat.
"Why exactly does the League have a boat all the way out here?" asked Dan.
"I'm not at liberty to explain that yet. All you have to know is there is food and beds to sleep in," said Andrew.
"Master Andrew, Juan didn't say you were coming," said Reggie.
"Is was last minute I need you to show these three to some rooms then gather Marc, Harold and Juan to meet me in the meeting room," said Andrew.
"That will be arranged. If you three would follow me I will take you to some rooms," said Reggie.
Dan, Cat and Hailey followed Reggie to the rooms where they will be staying at. He then asked if they needed food and if they did he would bring them some. They of course said yes to the food and Reggie walked away for five minutes to return with some cheeseburgers and fries. Reggie then walked away and called Juan, Harold and Marc and told them to return to the boat. Juan was not far off from the research vessel, Marc and Harold were on their way back.

Doesn't anyone else find it odd that Andrew has a ship all the way out here?" asked Dan.
"I agree with you on that. With Andrew he always has some type of purpose to do what he does, but I don't get why this is here," said Hailey.
"Maybe we should do some walking around the boat we could find something out," said Cat.
"Yeah lets do that," said Hailey.
Dan, Cat and Hailey walked from the table they were sitting eating to the other rooms on this level. They had to be quiet because they are unsure how many people are aboard this boat. When they walked over near the staircase leading to the upper level they saw Andrew followed by three others. They were heading toward the 4th floor of the ship.
"We should follow them down," said Hailey.
And so they followed them all the way to a room where Andrew had shut and locked the door to not to be interrupted when talking to the others.
"Andrew I wasn't expected you here," said Marc.
"I know I didn't want to come, but something happened forcing me here," said Andrew.
"What?" asked Juan.
"Well just south of here is an island in which I was helping out the next mega ring holder, and we were attacked by a group of what looks like DD members but they weren't," said Andrew.
"Ok what happened after?" asked Juan.
"We ran them off the island, but not before they had gone through our camp and our stuff. They stole my laptop. Inside my laptop there was info on this expedition as well as the rumored location's of Groudon and Kyorge," said Andrew.
"They have it then," said Marc.
"Yes they do, I need you each of you to do something," said Andrew.
"What would that?" asked Juan.
"Juan I need you to contact Mika, they might be after her for her mega ring. Harold I want you to keep doing what you are doing. Marc I need you back in DC I need to meet with others and we need find a solution to our problem," said Andrew.
"We can do that," said Juan.
"I also need you to move this vessel they know the current location of it," said Andrew.
"Ok I will tell the captain," said Juan.
"One last thing no one else except for the people I tell are to know about my laptop being gone. We don't want to panic everyone yet," said Andrew.
"One last question Andrew. Do they know how to get to the orbs with info in your laptop?" asked Marc.
"Yes," said Andrew.
"What are we going to do then?" asked Marc.
"Nothing yet like I said I do not think the legendary duo near us are their goal it is more of a last ditch effort," said Andrew.
"Ok so lets go on has planned," said Marc.
"Yes," said Andrew.
Juan and Harold stayed in that room while Andrew and Marc walked out.
"Once back at the League we need to plan out where and when we are going to talk about the abilities we talked about," said Andrew.
"Agreed," said Marc.
"I will be leaving tomorrow morning with the others staying with me. We are heading back to California. Once back I will help Dan finish his training. Then I will head back to DC. I need you to meet me there," said Andrew.
"I will do that," said Marc.
Marc walked off and back up the stairs back to his room for the night. Andrew followed him up to the third level to go talk to Dan and the other two. Once Dan, Cat, and Hailey walked up the stairs Andrew was waiting for them. He didn't looked to happy to see them.
"How much did you three hear?" asked Andrew.
"What do you mean?" asked Dan.
"Don't play stupid with me I knew you three were out there. Next time you want to listen in you might want to be quieter. One of you was shuffling boxes," said Andrew.
"Why didn't you tell us your laptop was stolen?" asked Dan.
"I don't need to tell you. I am looking out for you three," said Andrew.
"Andrew," said Hailey as she looked at him.
"Don't give me that look Hailey that's not going to work, I already have enough to deal with without involving others in my problems," said Andrew.
"I can help," said Hailey.
"This is one problem you can't help me with I need to meet with my elite four to handle the problem. I am done talking about it now," said Andrew.
"Ok," said Hailey walking off towards her room.
"Dan we will be flying back to California once there we will finish your training," said Andrew.
Ok," said Dan and he and Cat left back towards their room.
Andrew walked up to the deck and stared off into the moon and his mind was racing over the events that might begin to unfold. He is losing his grip over the situation at hand. He has no idea of what to do. Dan and Cat sat with Hailey who was sitting down where they ate on the third floor.
"Andrew never gets angry with me," said Hailey.
"I don't want to stand up for him, but he has a lot going on. It might have just been the moment. give him some time to cool down and then go talk to him," said Dan.
"I think I will talk to him tomorrow," said Hailey walking into her room to get some sleep.
"We better get some sleep to Cat," said Dan.
They went into their rooms and went to sleep as well. The only one up is Andrew who was still staring off into the moon, but now he had some company in the form of Glaceon who sat next to him.
(On the Deck)
"Master Andrew everyone has gone to bed should I show you to a room?" asked Reggie.
"No, I'm fine for now," said Andrew.
"Is something wrong Master Andrew?" asked Reggie.
"Yeah, but I really don't really want to talk about it," said Andrew.
"That's fine if you need a room just go yell," said Reggie walking off.
Andrew stared into the sky throughout most of the night. It was after 2:30am when Hailey woke up and walked to the deck out of sight she just stood there looking at Andrew till Reggie walked over to her.
"Is something the matter miss?" asked Reggie.
"No, I'm fine. I'm just worried about Andrew. He seems really off right now," said Hailey.
"I would go talk to him. He might talk to you," said Reggie.
"I think I will," said Hailey walking over near Andrew.
She then set her hand on the rail and tried to talk to him.
"It's a full moon," said Hailey.
"I know it is," said Andrew.
"Can you talk to me?" asked Hailey.
"Not right now I just want to forgot about it for now and focus at the job at hand and that is being able to help Dan master mega evolution," said Andrew.
"Andrew please I want help you, but if you don't say anything how can you help," said Hailey.
"Hailey, I know you want to, but right now this problem is not yours I will solve it. I just need the help of my elite 4," said Andrew.
"Andrew, since you became Champion 6 months ago you have completely changed. You have became independent and choose to try to solve everything yourself. There are others out there that want to help you just need to let us help you," said Hailey.
Andrew remained quiet. He hugged Hailey and walked off towards the rooms. He just wanted to get some sleep now and put this day behind him. Hailey walked over to her room as well and went back to bed. In the back of her mind she was still worried for her friend.
(The Next Morning)
The four of them were on the deck ready to fly off back to California.
"We are headed to a small town just north of Sacramento call Murphy," said Andrew.
"Ok," said Dan.
"Once we get there we will set up in a hotel and then get to your training," said Andrew.
"Where will be doing our training at?" asked Dan.
"There is a small Stadium there. We can do it there," said Andrew.
"Ok then lets go," said Dan.
Andrew called out Flygon again and Dan called out Salamence. Andrew and Hailey got onto Flygon. Dan and Cat got onto Salamence and followed Andrew towards California. After leaving the four of them arrive in Murphy in an hour. Andrew takes the leads them over to the hotel and checks them into two rooms. Each room has two beds.
"I will give you guys time to settle in before you'll meet me here in the lobby," said Andrew.

After they got comfortable in their hotel rooms they returned to the lobby where Andrew was waiting for them.
"It looks like everyone is set I will now show you all to the arena. I had a friend set up the arena with a course that will test trainer and pokemon. Each of us will run the course once. The best time wins. We won't use mega pokemon this round after we all finish Dan you and Mega Blaziken will run the course multiple times looking to improve on the time before," said Andrew.
"How are we going to determine who goes first?" asked Hailey.
"My friend drew names he will tell us who goes first when we get there. There is one rule no flying type pokemon. That means I won't use Charizard or Flygon. Hailey can't use Mandibuzz. Cat you can't use Swellow, and Dan no Salamence," said Andrew.
"Ok that's fine," said Dan.
"I will agree to that," said Hailey.
"Ok," said Cat.
"Then lets get going to the arena," said Andrew.
They walk over to the Stadium and once inside there stood waiting Andrew's friend Donald. He had set up a rather hard course that will test the pokemon as well as the trainer.
"I told you to make it hard, not impossible," said Andrew to Donald.
"When you said you wanted a course this is the one I came up with," said Donald.
"So who's going?" asked Andrew.
"I'll go first, then it will be Daniel, followed by you Andrew, then Cat. Last is Hailey," said Donald.
"I'll keep track of your time," said Andrew.
Donald calls out his Infernape and goes to the starting location. Dan, Cat and Hailey walk up and take a seat in the bleachers to watch Donald go through the course.
"Ready...Set...Go," said Andrew as Donald and Infernape took off.
The first obstacle Donald and Infernape came up to was hurdles and Infernape made it look easy to get over. Next a bop- and weave through cones challenge and again he made great time through it. Then Infernape climbed up a rope and his foot got stuck which cost him some time and once he made it to the top he jumped down and ran over to the finish.
Andrew walked over to Donald and Infernape and told them that there time was 1:15. Afterward Donald collected them timer from Andrew and walked over to the start line where Daniel was waiting with his partner Blaziken. Andrew took a seat in bleachers next to Hailey and waited for his turn.
"Daniel get ready...Set...Go," said Donald as Dan and Blaziken took off.
Blaziken made it though the hurdles with ease. Blaziken was a little slower then Infernape through the bop-and-weave challenge, but Blaziken made it up on the rope challenge and after jumping down and making it across the line his time was 1:04. Both Blaziken and Dan were tried and sat down on bleachers while Andrew and Glaceon took their spot on the start line. Donald lowered the hurdles a little allowing Glaceon to jump over them.
"Ready...Set...Go," said Donald and Andrew and Glaceon took off.
Glaceon jumped over the hurdles and made the bop-and-weave challenge look easy. It took Glaceon extra time to get up the rope, but he did. Once at the top Glaceon jumped down and ran over to the finish line. The time for Glaceon was 1:04.45. Blaziken was faster by a small amount of time. After Andrew returned Glaceon, Cat and her Vaporeon took their spot on the start line.
"Ready...Set...Go," said Donald and Cat and Vaporeon rant over to the hurdles.
Vaporeon jumped over the hurdles some time slower then Glaceon, but by time she reached the bop-and-weave challenge she made it look easy and was going about he same speed as Glaceon. The rope caused some trouble again for Vaporeon and it cost her some more time. Once she made it to the top she jumped down and ran over to the finish line and her time was 1:20. Up last was Hailey and her Jolteon was ready to go.
"Ready...Set...Go," said Donald and They both took off in the direction of the hurdles.
Jolteon seemed to be going at the same speed Glaceon was going through the hurdles. She was ahead of Glaceon by time she reached the bop-and-weave challenge and again Jolteon owned the challenge. the rope problem struck again and Jolteon got two of her paws stuck and had a hard time getting free. It took over a minute for Jolteon to free herself. Jolteon reached the top and jumped down and ran to the line. Jolteon's time was 2:06. Hailey and Jolteon was the slowest and Dan and Blaziken was the fastest. Everyone walked down from the bleachers and joined Donald on the course.
"That rope bridge caused a lot of problems," said Andrew.
"It didn't look hard when I was setting it up. I guess I could have done something different," said Donald.
"It's over now for all of us expect for Dan," said Andrew.
"Andrew before you leave you owe me a match," said Donald.
"I do?" asked Andrew.
"Yeah you do at State Finals earlier this year where I beat you I thought it really didn't count as a win because I didn't beat you at your best. You used six pokemon that you never use," said Donald.
"I told you I rested most of my pokemon because a day later I had to begin my challenge through Hester Jr.'s elite 4. I didn't even want to take part in the tournament but Hailey talked me into it," said Andrew.
"It really didn't fill like a win that way and I told you that you owe a real match," said Donald.
"And I agreed to another match. If you want to do it here and now I will gladly do so," said Andrew.
"Let me get the rest of my pokemon and we can," said Donald walking off.
"You two have history?" asked Dan.
"Yeah we do him and I were friends in high school. We also were tag partners. We begun our journey's at the same time and we always competed with each other whether it was gym badges or at Champion's Cup in 2012. I beat him at the Champion's Cup which started me on the path of becoming champion. Donald on the other hand was kinda stuck here training all the time. He and his pokemon never forgot the loss and knew I would take part in the State Tournament were he hoped to win against me and redeem himself the only problem was he overheard me tell Hailey that I may not do it if it conflicted with my other battle. She talked me into it and I decided that it was best to use six differnet pokemon to rest my others and now this is were we are at. We will start training after my match," said Andrew.
Donald returned ready for his match. Andrew was also ready and all they needed was a ref.
"I will ref," said Hailey.
(Battle: Andrew vs. Donald)
"Typical rules Donald?" asked Andrew.
"You know it," said Donald.
The rules are a six on six pokemon battle both trainers have a right to substitute at any time in the match, and after three of ones pokemon are out they will take a short break. After the break the match will not be over till we have a winner.
Andrew and Donald moved over to the smaller arena behind the course and took there spots on the arena.
"I will finally be able to accept my win after I beat you," said Donald.
"And what makes you think you are going to win?" asked Andrew.
"I know you better than any other battler I know how you battle and your weakness other then what the people on TV say," said Donald.
"I guess we will see," said Andrew.
"Shall we then," said Donald.
"Go Gengar," said Andrew
"Go Infernape," said Donald.
You can have the first move," said Andrew.
"Some things never change Andrew letting your opponent have the first move and always going with a ghost type. Infernape use flamethrower," said Donald.
"Gengar use psychic to stop the attack,"
Infernape sent a stream of fire at Gengar whose eyes turned and a bluish tinge covered the outline of the attack and it was stopped. Then Gengar sent over his head into the ceiling.
"Infernape use dig,"
"Gengar wait till he pops up and then hypnosis,"
Infernape dug underground. Gengar just flew around the arena and waited for Infernape to come up. Andrew knew that Gengar is immune to ground types because of his ability Levitate so there has to be an alternative motive for Donald to do dig. Infernape dug up to the left of Gengar and attacked with flamethrower. Gengar phased out and reappeared to the left of Infernape. Gengar n moved his arms up and down sending waves that put Infernape to sleep.
"Gengar use shadow ball,"
Gengar is still next to Infernape as he forms a dark purple ball in front of his hand after the attack was finished forming he delivered a direct blast to the side of the sleeping Infernape. It sent Infernape flying to the left of the arena. Donald had to return Infernape before he could take anymore damage.
"Go Hypno," said Donald.
"Gengar use dark pulse."
"Hypno use psychic to stop the attack and direct it back at him,"
Gengar sent waves of dark energy at Hypno. Hypno stopped the waves of darkness with his psychic powers, Hypno then sent the waves back at Gengar. Gengar took the damage from the attack back at him. Gengar still stood even after taking a super effective attack.
"Hypno use shadow ball,"
"Gengar return and Go Aggron," said Andrew.
The purple shadowy ball formed in front of Hypno's hands after the shadowy ball was complete he sent it at Aggron. Once it made it to Aggron, Aggron punched the ball and it exploded in front of him. Everyone, but Andrew was shocked to see Aggron do such a thing to that attack.
"Hypno return, and Go Hitmonlee," said Donald.
"Interesting trying to use what Aggron is weak," said Andrew.
"Hitmonlee use rolling kick,"
"Aggron catch his leg,"
"What are you going to do?" asked Donald with a look of shock.
"Just wait and see I think you'll like," said Andrew.
Hitmonlee ran close to Aggron, he then started to spin with one of his long legs out. Hitmonlee was spinning only on one leg. By time the spinning Hitmonlee was about to hit Aggron, Aggron grabbed Hitmonlee's spinning leg in his arm. Aggron's power stopped Hitmonlee from spinning and now Hitmonlee was face to face with Aggron. Hitmonlee looked a little shocked at it.
"Aggron now knock him to the ground with iron tail to the other leg,"
Aggron's large tail became coated in iron. Before Aggron swung his large tail he let go of Hitmonlee's leg and by time Hitmonlee realized he was free he was already on the ground because his other leg was hit with iron tail.
"Aggron use heavy slam to finish this battle,"
Aggron jumped off the ground and came down in a belly flop and landed on Aggron. Aggron stood up after delivering that attack. Hitmonlee was unable to get up.
"Hitmonlee is unable to battle, Aggron wins," said Hailey.
"Andrew that was interesting to say the least. I played right into your hand I should have thought you had a trick up your sleeve since you did stay in against Hitmonlee. I won't make that mistake again," said Donald.
"I told you that I always know what I am doing. I found this Aggron in Yosemite and there he took an aura sphere from my Lucario. I was surprised when I was finally able to train him how powerful he was," said Andrew.
"Return Hitmonlee, and go Feraligatr," said Donald.
"I think I will stick with Aggron," said Andrew.
"Feraligatr use aqua tail,"
"Aggron use protect,"
Aggron encased himself in a green sphere which will take any and all damage Feraligatr and dish out with aqua tail. Feraligatr's tail became coated in water and he tried to attack Aggron, but was stopped by the green sphere. He slammed his tail into it a couple of times to try to break it but he was unable to.
"Aggron use thunderbolt,"
"Feraligatr dodge it then use hydro pump,"
Aggron charged up and shot a bolt of thunder at the Feraligatr. Feraligatr dodged the attack then shot a torrent of water at Aggron. Aggron was blasted by the water, but he stayed strong as ever. Feraligatr kept up the water attack on Aggron.
"Aggron use wild charge,"
Aggron coated himself in thunder and he recklessly charged at Feraligatr. Feraligatr kept shooting hydro pump at him but it was to no avail he was unable to stop Aggron from recklessly crashing into him sending him behind his trainer. Feraligatr struggled to get back to his feet. Aggron on the other just shook off the attack he took no damage from the recoil because of the ability rock head.
"Aggron use thunderbolt,"
Aggron charged up then shot a bolt of thunder at Feraligatr just as he made it to his feet. The bolt zapped him and Feraligatr fell back down. This time he didn't even try to get up.
"Feraligatr is unable to battle, Aggron wins," said Hailey.
"Return Feraligatr, and go Infernape," said Donald.
"Aggron use earthquake,"
"Infernape dodge the incoming rocks then blast him with focus blast,"
Infernape woke up as the ground under both pokemon's feet begun to rumble and rocks came up and each time one almost hit Infernape he would dodge it. By time the ground started to stop Infernape was finally able to send a brownish orb at Aggron. The focus blast exploded in the gut of Aggron. Aggron's eyes widened and he fell onto his belly.
"Finally down goes the giant," said Donald.
Right after that was said Aggron stood right back onto his feet. As if nothing ever happened, but that was a show and Aggron again fell back down. This time there was no getting up for him.
"Aggron is unable to battle, Infernape wins," said Hailey.
"Return Aggron and go Flygon," said Andrew.
"Return Infernape, and go Dragonite," said Donald.
"Can your Dragonite beat Flygon this time?" teased Andrew.
"I'll show you can. Dragonite use dragon claw," said Donald.
"Flygon counter with dragon tail,"
Dragonite's claws became all white and he rushed at Flygon. Flygon's tail also became white. As Dragonite tried to swing is white claws at Flygon he was hit in the gut with Flygon's tail. Dragonite was sent to the ground with a thud.
"Flygon dragon pulse,"
"Dragonite use flamethrower,"
Dragonite quickly recovered and sent a stream of fire. The stream of fire was meet head on with a dark blue ball. Once they meet the flamethrower caused the dragon pulse to explode, blanketing the arena in a cloud of smoke.
"Flygon clear the smoke with sandstorm,"
Flygon wiped up sand off the ground and it created a storm which was used to clear the arena of the smoke and allowed both dragon type pokemon to see each other again.
"Dragonite use outrage,"
"Flygon bring him down with draco meteor,"
Flygon sent a single meteor into the sky. That single meteor exploded into a dozen or so smaller meteors and they crashed into Dragonite who was trying to rampage, but with being hit with all the meteors he was unable to do anything but fall to the ground trying to cover himself from it. The meteors exploded on his back and before Dragonite fainted he let out a cry.
"Dragonite is unable to battle, Flygon wins," said Hailey.
Both trainers returned their pokemon and went over to the bleachers to sit down to take a short break.
"After the match Dan you and I will continue our training. I have also found your final test," said Andrew.
"What would that be?" asked Dan.
"Tomorrow you will be battling Mika she should be here by then," said Andrew.
"Ok what's her mega pokemon?" asked Dan.
"She has Mega Ampharos," said Andrew.
"Ok I will be ready for that," said Dan.
"I sure hope so, because it will only be a one on one," said Andrew.
"Andrew if you are done let's finish our battle," said Donald.
"Lets go then," said Andrew.
They both returned to the arena and took their spots ready to finish the battle.
"Go Scizor," said Donald.
"Go Gengar," said Andrew.
"Scizor use bullet punch. Then use night slash quickly after,"
Even before Gengar could get set Scizor quickly attacked him with a fury of punches from his iron pincers. Shortly after he stopped punching Gengar he was hit with the pincers again this time they were all black and it did a lot of damage. Gengar stopped levitating and fell to the ground.
"Good job Scizor for the quick finish," said Donald.
"Gengar is unable to battle, Scizor wins," said Hailey.
"I don't see a quick victory now. Go Charizard," said Andrew.
"Scizor use bullet punch,"
"Charizard use flamethrower,"
Charizard shot out a stream of fire at the Scizor flying at him trying to attack. Scizor had to stop his attack and was sent back into the ground. Scizor fell down to his knees. It took Scizor some time but he was able to get back to a full stance.
"Charizard use fire blast,"
Charizard sent a ball of flames out. As it went at Scizor the ball of flames became humanlike looking as it now went for Scizor. Scizor tried to avoid the flames but he was unable to and after taking the attack he fell onto his back.
"Scizor is unable to battle, Charizard wins," said Hailey.
"Return Scizor and go Hypno," said Donald.
"Return Charizard, and go Glaceon," said Andrew.
"Hypno use shadow ball,"
"Glaceon use dig to dodge it. Then use your own shadow ball,"
Hypno made and shot a shadowy ball at Glaceon who dug underground to avoid the attack. Hypno looked around to see where Glaceon is coming from, but Glaceon kept tricking him by digging almost to the surface to get the attention of Hypno. Instead of coming up he dug deeper down. Donald and Hypno looked and looked around, but by time the had found Glaceon it was to late and he shot off his own dark shadowy ball that hit Hypno in the back. It almost caused Hypno to fall onto his face.
"Hypno use recover,"
"Glaceon another shadow ball,"
Hypno tried to recover from the damage he just took, but he was stopped once again by Andrew's Glaceon and the shadowy ball he made and shot off. This time around the shadow ball found its mark near the gut of Hypno. Hypno was unable to do anything and fell onto his back.
"Hypno is unable to battle, Glaceon wins," said Hailey.
"Hypno return, and go Infernape," said Donald.
"Let's make this a battle of starters. Return Glaceon, and go Charizard," said Andrew.
The two fire type pokemon locked eyes. You could tell that both these pokemon know each other well. These two pokemon have battled each other furiously in the past. Things have changed since the last time these two have battled. Andrew had never used Mega Charizard against Donald. He had been thinking about it the whole match an he was finally ready to unleash it on him.
"Donald the last time these two meet it turned into Infernape getting the best of Charizard, but the results are in my favor this time around," said Andrew.
"How could you say that?" asked Donald.
"Allow me to show you. Charizard mega evolution," shouted Andrew pressing his mega ring.
Charizard encased himself in a sphere of flames. He let out a battle cry and the flames dissipated. Charizard was considerably different from his former orange self. Charizard was all black. His rigid wings and underbelly was blue as well as the flame on his tail.
"Infernape use flamethrower,"
"Charizard use flamethrower as well,"
Charizard and Infernape sent streams of fire at each other. Infernape's flame was the normal orange color while Charizard's flames was a dark blue. At first they looked evenly matched till Charizard's stream started to push Infernape's stream back towards him. Eventually Infernape took Charizard's flamethrower. It sent him to the ground. Infernape quickly hoped back to his feet.
"Infernape use focus blast,"
"Charizard use dragon pulse,"
Infernape brought his hands together and in the middle he a brown orb. As he made that Charizard made and shot off a dark blue pulse. Infernape shot his attack shortly after Charizard shot his off. Both attack collided and exploded causing yet another smokescreen.
"Charizard clear the smoke with heat wave,"
Charizard flapped his wings and as the flapped he unleashed waves of fire that cleared up the smoke.
"Infernape use flare blitz,"
"Charizard use flare blitz,"
Infernape surrounded himself with orange flames and he charged at Charizard. Charizard surrounded himself with blue flames and charged at Infernape. As the two fire type pokemon collided Charizard was easily able to overpower Infernape. It sent Infernape crashing into the ground. Infernape stumbled to his feet this time around. After getting back on his feet the flame on his head got larger and hotter. Infernape's eyes turned orange. Infernape activated his ability blaze.
"Infernape's timing is always good Donald," said Andrew examining Infernape.
"I know. Infernape just knows when the extra power boost is needed just like right now," said Donald.
"Charizard use flamethrower,"
"Infernape use it as well,"
Infernape's stream of fire this time was a lot larger and seemed more powerful. Infernape's flamethrower meet with Charizard's blue flamethrower and at the start the were evenly matched. They stayed that for what seemed like hours when it was only a few minutes. Eventually Charizard's flamethrower overtook Infernape's and the flamethrower sent Infernape to the ground. Infernape tried and tried to get back up, but he was just not able too and fainted. The battle was over Charizard had won.
"Infernape is unable to battle Charizard wins. Andrew is the winner," said Hailey.
Andrew pressed his mega ring and returned Charizard to his normal self and then walked over to Donald who was sitting next to Infernape. Charizard shook the ground as he landed next to Andrew.
"To think we both begun with our most trusted pokemon," said Andrew.
"Yeah, I guess my win at the State Tournament was just luck," said Donald.
"No, it wasn't you beat me fair and square even if it wasn't my best pokemon you still won and you deserve it," said Andrew.
Infernape finally comes to and he gets up and then sits next to Donald. Infernape looked happy even thought they had lost. Charizard let out a flamethrower to the sky and he too was happy.
"Well I better get my pokemon to the pokemon center and get them healed. Thanks for the battle, and Andrew next time we meet I will beat you," said Donald returning Infernape and walking off.
Andrew returned Charizard and walked over to the bleachers were Hailey, Dan, and Cat were sitting. They got up and walked over to Andrew.
"Now we should get to our training Dan," said Andrew.
"What do you want me to do?" asked Dan.
"I need you to mega evolve your Blaziken. He will be running the course three times. He is trying to improve each and every time he does it. The goal is to get better then regular Blaziken," said Andrew.
"Sounds easy enough," said Dan.
Dan calls out Blaziken and then presses his mega ring to mega evolve Blaziken. Blaziken encased himself in a sphere of flames. Once the flames disappeared. Blaziken's yellow feather's on his legs turned red, the red feathers turned black. The feathery "hairs" on Blaziken's head pointed upward in a wing shape. As the sphere of flames broke the flames on his arms extended out considerably and blow in the wind. Dan instructed Blaziken to go to the starting line.
"Ready... Set... Go," shouted Andrew.
Blaziken shot out of the starting line like a loaded gun. He made the hurdles and bob-and-weave challenge look easy. The rope posed no threat at all and once he reached the top he jumped down and reached the finish line. Andrew stopped the timer and it said 0:50.
"Great first time lets do it again," said Andrew.
Blaziken took his spot back at the start line. He was ready to go again and this time around speed boost already kicked in once so it will be faster.
"Ready... Set... Go," Andrew shouted again.
And Blaziken took like a lighting bolt. He made the hurdles look like child's play and it looked like he flew through the bob-and-weave challenge. once he reached the rope he climbed it and reached the top and jumped down and ran over to the finish line. Andrew again stopped the timer and had to check twice to see if the time was real. The time was 0:37.
"This the last time let's see if Blaziken can beat the time," said Andrew.
Blaziken readied himself at the starting line and was ready to take off before Andrew was even there.
"Ready... Set... Go," shouted Andrew.
This time if you blinked you would have missed Blaziken leave the line and take off towards the hurdles. Blaziken jumped the hurdles with ease and the bob-and-weave challenge posed no real threat. The rope again didn't stop him and when he reached the top and jumped down the timer was stopped at :30.
"30 seconds," said Andrew.
"He's fast," said Hailey.
"Great Blaziken," said Dan to his buddy.
"Bla Blaze" said Blaziken. (Translation: Thanks)
"Now lets move on to the next challenge," said Andrew.
(After a Short Break)
"This next challenge will test if Blaziken can still attack at the speeds he going at. The test is simple, I will toss a Frisbee into the air Blaziken will run after it and attack it at your command. He has to hit it dead on. Not over or to the sides it has to be dead on. If Cat and Hailey wouldn't mind I would like them to stand ready to catch the Frisbees," said Andrew.
Cat and Hailey walked over to the arena where Andrew had battled Donald. Once they were ready they both gave Andrew a thumbs up and Andrew tossed the first one into the air Blaziken took and waited for Dan to give him the command. Dan yelled for Blaziken to use flamethrower and he hit the Frisbee with ease. The Frisbee didn't even make it to the ground it was completely burned to a crisp.
"We need to use something else," said Andrew.
What?" asked Dan.
"If we were in DC we could use the training dummies," said Andrew.
"What about a pokemon?" asked Dan.
"That isn't a bad idea but which pokemon could withstand a flamethrower at the level," said Andrew.
"My Salamence could," said Dan.
"We can use Charizard or Flygon," said Andrew.
"How about all three that way we can make it more challenging," said Dan.
"I agree with that," said Andrew calling out Flygon and Charizard.
Dan called out Salamence. Both Trainers explained to their pokemon what they wanted them to do and all three pokemon were ready to go and they flew around the arena. Blaziken took off running at a quick pace. Blaziken set his sites on Flygon first since Blaziken knew he was going to be hard to hit being the fastest one out there right now. Dan called for Blaziken to use flamethrower and he barely missed Flygon. Blaziken shook it off and kept running waiting for Dan to call out an attack again. This time Blaziken set his sights on Salamence. Dan again called for and attack and this time around it finds its mark on Salamence. Knowing she was hit Salamence landed next to Dan.
"Two more to go," said Andrew.
Blaziken was still running when he focused on Charizard. Dan waited a little bit of time for Blaziken could line up his attack. Dan then ordered Blaziken to use flamethrower and he nailed Charizard. Charizard landed near Andrew.
"Blaziken one more get ready to nail that dragon," said Dan.
After Dan said that everyone noticed that Blaziken had stopped and looked out of it. He fell to one knee. Andrew and Dan walked over to him. Dan looked concerned for his Blaziken. Blaziken tried to get up, but couldn't. Blaziken didn't want to give up, but he had to his body was telling him to stop. Blaziken stood back up ready to go.
"This over get Blaziken some rest," said Andrew.
"Bla, Blaziken," said Blaziken (Translation: No I'm not done)
After Blaziken said that the flames on his arms flared up. Flygon and Charizard both flew over to Andrew ready to protect him just incase Blaziken tried to attack,
"I think my Blaziken wants to continue," said Dan.
"I don't think so we don't want to work him to death," said Andrew.
All that did was enrage Blaziken more and he shot a flamethrower in the direction of Andrew. Charizard shot his own off to protect his trainer from anything.
"It's done. If Blaziken tried to attack me I have to say it's over," said Andrew.
"Blaziken didn't mean to," said Dan walking over to him.
Blaziken now shot a flamethrower at Dan. Dan readied himself to take the hit, but he didn't have to Flygon kicked up a sandstorm to counter it.
"What's happening to Blaziken?" asked Dan.
"We need to stop him before he hurts someone," said Andrew.
"How are we going to do so?" asked Dan.
"I will have to attack him. Once he goes down he will have to press your mega ring and return him to his normal self," said Andrew.
"Ok, If you didn't have to you won't attack him," said Dan.
"Flygon draco meteor, Charizard blast burn," said Andrew.
Blaziken watched as both pokemon unleashed there moves at him he took it as threat and tried to attack back, but he was to weak to do so and both attacks made him fall to the ground face down. He then returned to normal and fainted.
"We best get him to a pokemon center to get some rest," said Andrew.
All four trainers walked out of the stadium and walked over to the pokemon center. Dan handed the nurse his Blaziken's pokeball and asked her to check on him. Dan stayed there all night to be by his Blaziken's side Cat fell asleep in a chair. Before Andrew and Hailey left the pokemon center Andrew asked if Dan could come outside to talk to him.
(Outside)
"I'm sorry for using such actions on your Blaziken," said Andrew.
"What was wrong with him?" asked Dan.
"I think he was going to go berserk," said Andrew.
"Why though?" asked Dan.
"If I had to guess we overworked him and he tried to use power that he didn't have and when I said we had to stop he thought I was saying that because he was to weak to continue. He then got angry and that caused it," said Andrew.
"What about tomorrow?" asked Dan.
"I will ask Mika to wait to battle you. That way we can focus on training him for that not happen again. This time we will have three mega rings in the same area," said Andrew.
"That sounds fine, I just want to get back to being with Blaziken," said Dan walking back into the pokemon center.
Andrew followed him in and asked if Hailey wanted to go back to the hotel and she said yes so they left Dan and Cat at the pokemon center for the night.
This is one long chapter it took me awhile to get done but here it is. We just say that DD is starting to change. We also saw what power mega pokemon have. Rather than saying anymore just read the chapter.
