(Sunday Morning)
Everyone is up and in front of the Pokemon Center. Emma, Zac, and Brady had backpacks on and were ready to leave. Andrew and Katie were going to leave in a couple days. The rain had let up and it was sunny , but still windy. It was fall crisp wind, that is cold when it blows in.
"Andrew please take care of Katie," said Emma.
"You can trust me to do so," replied Andrew.
Emma looked back over to Katie.
"Like I already said if you get into any trouble please call me we'll rush back," said Emma.
"We'll be fine Em I'll see you when we get to Cincinnati," replied Katie.
Emma, Zac and Brady leave and head towards Cincinnati. Andrew and Katie walk back inside the Pokemon Center.

The three of them have just left Richmond behind. Emma and Brady are ok with letting Katie stay, but Zac still had doubts and he was ready to voice those doubts.
"I still don't like the idea of leaving Katie here," said Zac.
"Zac it's best we let her do what she wants and trust her," replied Emma.
"I think I should stay and keep an eye on them," said Zac.
"Zac don't be an idiot. If she knows you are still here she'll get angry with us saying we don't trust her," replied Emma.
"We can't trust her and Andrew," said Zac.
"Zac I know you have a thing for Katie, but from what I can tell there is something between her and Andrew," said Brady.
"Are we even sure Andrew has feelings for her?" asked Zac.
"We all should know the answer to that," answered Brady.
"Yes he does," said Emma.
"How can you tell?" asked Zac.
"The simple answer is who did he ask to keep an eye on him while he heals here," answered Emma.
"I guess your right," replied Zac.
Zac was quiet after hearing that from Emma he didn't like what he heard so he was annoyed and the goal he set for himself on the airplane he had decided it was more than a plan it was a promise he made to himself that he was going to win and beat Andrew and Katie would finally be his. They kept on walking for another 5 hours before reaching the city they wanted to stay the night at. They have another 12 hours of walking before they would reach the city they want to be at so they can take a train to Cincinnati.
(I will devote one chapter to the three of them traveling from where they stopped today to the location they need to be at to catch the train. The main reason why is because I am going to have them catch another pokemon on the way their. Also in that one chapter it will show you that they have reached Cincinnati.)

"So Katie is this the first time you have been away from Emma and Brady on your journey?" asked Andrew.
"Yeah it is," answered Katie.
"I at least your not alone," replied Andrew.
"I know I'm with you," said Katie.
Andrew and Katie walked over to the counter to get their pokemon checked before leaving. The town had quieted down some, but with Halloween 20 days away the town had planned a festival planned for the week. The poster for the festivities caught both Andrew and Katie's eye as something they wanted to do. Today in town square they had booths set up with all types of goodies for Halloween.
"Wow I can't believe it is already the 11th of October," said Andrew.
"You don't look so excited about Halloween being so close," said Katie.
"I'm not, I have never really did Halloween. This year I have to the League turns the Pokemon League buildings into haunted houses for the little kids in DC," said Andrew.
"That's cool I would love to go to that," said Katie.
"You might be able to. We are allowed to bring dates to the event because before the haunted house opens the kids and their parents are invited to a dinner the leagues puts on," said Andrew.
"If your inviting me I would love to go. You might have to come from Boston since the three of us plan to return home for Halloween," said Katie.
"I'll remember that," said Andrew with a smile.
"Hopefully I can come then," said Katie.
"Let's go check out the booths," said Andrew.
Andrew and Katie leave the Pokemon Center and walk over to the center of town, You could still see the caution tape around the museum as you walk past it. The town still seems on alert by the extra police presence. They walk over to the first booth and it has stuffed versions of ghost pokemon. The only one differnet is the Darkrai one. Next to the stuffed Darkrai is a crescent shaped wing. Katie picked it up and examined it closely.
"What is this?" asked Katie to the shop keeper.
"Well dear that is a Lunar Wing," answered the Shop Keeper.
"What does it do?" asked Katie.
"That wing will protect you from bad dreams," answered the Shop Keeper.
"If I'm correct those bad dreams she talks about are caused by Darkrai," said Andrew.
"Right you are," replied the Shop Keeper.
Katie set the wing down and they continued on walking over to the next booth. At the next booth there were a wide variety of fresh berries from Oran to Chesto and many more.
Andrew picked up one of the Oran berry's and looked closely at it.
"How fresh are these berries?" asked Andrew.
"We just picked them yesterday," answered girl at the register.
"Hmm. Ok," said Andrew walking away.
Katie looks at the same berries before catching up to Andrew.
"What was wrong with berries?" asked Katie.
"The berries are slightly under ripe," answered Andrew.
"You could tell by just looking at them," replied Katie.
"The Oran berry I grabbed was slightly less blue then it should be," said Andrew.
At the next booth there were a couple of people that had a some pokemon eggs. Andrew and Katie both walked over to the booth and started to talk to the two working the booth. At the front of the booth was a girl she had brown hair covered by a hat. She had a black jacket that covered her white tank top. She blue jeans on whit a black pair of boots on. The boy handing her the eggs was taller then the female and he had a black polo shirt and a pair of blue jeans on. He had white sneakers on.
"If I may ask what's up with the eggs?" asked Andrew.
"We run a daycare center in Lakeside and we have just to many eggs," answered the female.
"How many is to many?" asked Andrew.
"We have about 2 dozen at the lab and 12 more here," answered the female.
"Your daycare center raises them all?" asked Andrew.
"No this season we got more then we could handle," answered the female.
"What do you do with the ones here?" asked Andrew.
"We usually give them to kids that are just starting out trainers school," said the female.
"Do you usually give them all away to them?" asked Andrew.
"You sure ask a lot of questions," replied the female.
"Becky is there problem," said the guy taking eggs.
"No, Jimmy there isn't just someone asking a lot of questions," said Becky.
Jimmy sets the last egg down and walked over to Becky to see who she was talking to.
"Becky do you know who that is?" asked Jimmy.
"No," answered Becky.
"That's Andrew Hanson our region's champion," replied Jimmy.
"Jimmy you should know I don't follow along on that my full time job is raising these eggs," said Becky.
"So Becky you're a full time breeder?" asked Andrew.
"Yes I am. My boyfriend Jimmy here is a pokemon trainer full time he is just helping me out right now," answered Becky.
"How many badges do you have?" asked Andrew.
"I have 14," answered Jimmy.
"You're two away," said Andrew.
"Yeah I am I will be leaving after this festival back to Seattle for the 15th gym," said Jimmy.
"Why after the festival?" asked Andrew.
"I thought I would spend this time with my girlfriend since I rarely see her," answered Jimmy.
"That's sweet of you," said Katie.
"Who's she?" asked Jimmy looking to Katie.
"Jimmy I think that might be his girlfriend," replied Becky.
There was few moments of silence before Jimmy spoke up again. It was an weird silence.
"Andrew are you up to battling me?" asked Jimmy.
"When?" asked Andrew in response.
"How about today?" asked Jimmy.
"No I'm still injured," answered Andrew.
"When are ok to go?" asked Jimmy.
"How about Tuesday," answered Andrew.
"Tuesday is fine for me," replied Jimmy.
"We'll battle here in town square," said Andrew.
"That's fine," replied Jimmy.
"Ok we'll be going then," said Andrew.
Becky stopped them before they left. Becky had a question.
"Would you two like to come see my families Breeding Center?" asked Becky.
"We will go," said Katie.
"You can ride with us or you can fly there," said Becky.
"If it's not too much trouble we can ride with you," said Andrew.
"That's fine just let us pack up," replied Becky.
Andrew and Katie walked away while Becky and Jimmy closed up their booth and packed up the eggs they had. Once they did so Becky walked over and told Andrew and Katie they were ready to go. The four of them left Richmond to a much smaller city known as Lakeside.
(On the way to Lakeside)
Jimmy was driving the truck they were and driving through a forest. This same forest was wet from the rain yesterday and the dirt was now muddy. A few of the tires got stuck which meant the car also got stuck.
"Jim why'd you go this way?" questioned Becky.
"It's the fastest way back," answered Jimmy.
"You knew we could get stuck," said Becky.
"On the way to Richmond we were fine," replied Jimmy.
"Is there a problem?" asked Katie.
"Yeah we're stuck for the time being," answered Becky.
Jimmy got out of the car and walked around to see where they were stuck. He got the right side front tire and the back side left tire stuck. Andrew, Katie and Becky all got out and looked at it too.
"Jimmy I'll call my older brother to come help just stay here," said Becky walking off to call.
Becky walked over to a rock and sat down. She made a call to her older brother Derrick, and he said he'll be out there within 45 minutes. After getting off the phone with him Becky walked back over and joined the other three.
"When will he be?" asked Jimmy.
"Within 45 minutes," answered Becky.
"I guess we'll have to wait," said Jimmy.
"I think I'm going to walk around a little while we wait," said Katie.
"I'll come with you," said Andrew.
Andrew and Katie walked through the forest as they walked they saw a lot of bug and some poison type pokemon. As they were walking towards this opening they both saw a Goomey getting attack by some Houndour and the alpha Houndoom. As Andrew and Katie were walking over to stop them three more Houndour pop out of the bushes and start growling at them.
"We can't leave that Goomey there," said Katie.
"It's odd to see a Goomey out in the forest like this," replied Andrew.
"Why?" asked Katie.
"Goomey live up in the mountains because they need damp shady area to prevent them from drying out," answered Andrew.
"Then that Goomey must have stumbled upon the Houndour's territory and that's why they are attacking," replied Katie.
"We do have to rescue that Goomey, but we first have to make it past the Houndour," said Andrew.
"Do you have a plan?" asked Katie.
Before Andrew could answer two more Houndour's came out behind them. They too started growling. One looked ready to attack because he was moving and closer. Andrew unclipped Lucario's pokeball from his belt. Katie got Absol's pokeball off her belt. Andrew tossed out Lucario and those Houndour's behind them started backing up.
"Um, Andrew the Houndoom is running towards us," said Katie.
"Lucario use close combat on him," said Andrew.
Lucario ran past Andrew and then in front of Katie. He then ran at Houndoom. Once he reached Houndoom he punched him, that punch stopped Houndoom and after stopping Lucario punched him again and then kicked him sending him back into a tree. The Houndoom growled and started walking away. The Houndour's followed him and left back into the forest. Katie walked over to the Goomey, he was starting to dry out.
"Andrew Goomey isn't looking so good," said Katie.
"We have to get him some water, or back to a Pokemon Center," replied Andrew.
"We should check back with Jimmy and Becky and see if they," said Katie.
The two of them walked back over to Jimmy and Becky who both were sitting in the car still waiting for Becky's brother to arrive. Andrew and Katie walk over to them.
"Wow it's a Goomey," said Jimmy looking at the slimy dragon in Katie's hands.
Becky looks over his shoulder to see it too.
"He doesn't look to good," said Becky.
"He needs water," replied Katie.
"I think we might have a water bottle in here," said Becky.
Becky and Jimmy started to look for that bottle. They spent about 10 minutes looking and they couldn't find it. Jimmy got out of the truck and checked the backseat and the bottle wasn't there either.
"I thought we had a bottle in here," said Becky.
"I guess we don't," said Jimmy.
Katie looks at Andrew before he speaks up.
"We have to get over to the Pokemon Center then back in Richmond," said Andrew.
"We'd take you back but were stuck so you'll have to walk back," said Becky.
"I think we'll fly back," said Andrew.
"Ok we better leave now then," said Katie.
"Here's the thing you'll have to fly Flygon," said Andrew.
"Are you serious?" asked Katie with her eyes widened.
"Yes, I can't fly him. Flygon trust's you so you'll be fine and anyway I'll be on him too your just sitting in front," answered Andrew.
"Ok that reassures me some," replied Katie.
Andrew then calls out Flygon and walks in front him and tells him that Katie will be in control of flying him. Flygon shakes his head understanding what his owner was saying. Flygon lowered his body to ground level to allow Katie to get on. After she got on him Andrew climbed on to. Katie handed Andrew Goomey.
"So how do we go?" asked Katie.
"Just say his name?" answered Andrew.
"Flygon," said Katie.
(Back in Richmond)
Flygon kicks up off the ground and into the air. Flygon takes off in the direction of Richmond. It only took about 5 minutes before they made it back to Richmond. Flygon landed them in front of the Pokemon Center allowing Katie and Andrew to get off. After getting off Andrew gave Katie Goomey and Katie walked inside the center and handed him over to the Nurse. Andrew returned Flygon and walked inside to see Katie sitting down waiting for the Nurse to return. The Nurse returned with Goomey in hand and he looked better and hydrated.
"You're lucky you brought Goomey when you did. He was really bad," said the Nurse.
"Thank you for taking care of him," replied Katie.
"Did you find this Goomey in the forest near Lakeside?" asked the Nurse.
"Yeah we did," answered Katie.
"This wasn't the first Goomey I have seen. They have been moving down from the mountain into the forest," said the Nurse.
Andrew walked over to Katie and the Nurse and started to talk to them.
"This seems to be a problem that stems from the mountains," said Andrew.
"People I have talked believe that some pokemon maybe taking over their habitat up there," said the Nurse.
"What other type of pokemon live up there?" asked Andrew.
"The most likely suspect is the Zubat population. The Zubat population has been getting larger and larger which pushes out the Goomey's?" answered the Nurse.
The Nurse hands Goomey back over to Katie. Once Goomey is back in Katie's hands Goomey seems to be a lot happier.
"I think he like you," said Andrew.
"You think so," replied Katie.
"Just look how happy he is," said Andrew.
Katie looks down at him and the wild Goomey is smiling. Katie then walks back upstairs and grabs a empty pokeball from her bag, but before she did she set Goomey on the bed.
"Goomey do you want to come on my journey with me?" asked Katie.
"Goo Goomey," said Goomey (Translation: Yeah I do)
"Ok I'm going to capture you now," said Katie putting the empty ball in front of him.
Katie then clicks the ball in front of him and Goomey goes inside the pokeball only wiggles once and he is captured. Katie then walks back downstairs and walks over back to Andrew.
"I take it you captured him," said Andrew.
"Yeah I did," replied Katie.
"That's good once evolved Goomey will become a powerful friend to have," said Andrew.
As the two of them were talking the Nurse had walked back counter and took her spot. As the two were talking another Goomey was brought in by a young lady. She too said the exact same thing Katie had said.
"There has to be something up there causing this," said Andrew walking over to the counter.
"I agree," said Katie.
"I think we might look into it tomorrow when I'm felling up to walking around the mountain," said Andrew.
"That sounds fine," said Katie.
Andrew and Katie walk out of the pokemon center as the sun was starting to set. you could still see the mountains to the east. The two of them walk over to a restaurant that is right near the blocked museum.
(At the Restaurant)
"What are we doing here when we could have just stayed at the Pokemon Center and ate," said Katie.
"I thought a break from the Pokemon Center food was needed," replied Andrew.
A waiter walks over to the table the two of them were sitting at and asked them for their order. They both ordered the place's special. As they were waiting for their food Katie was looking outside and saw a blue frog run past the window and after that frog did three guys ran past. Katie got up and took off after the frog she could guess that frog was in trouble.
"Katie," said Andrew after she ran out.
Andrew got up paid for the food and took off after her. He had followed her to an alley.
(In the Alley)
"Come on Froakie you're coming with us," said one of the thugs.
Froakie looked at them ready to battle off the four thugs standing in front of him.
"You dumb frog you can't take us all on," said another thug.
"Leave him alone," said Katie.
The four thugs turned around to see this girl standing there. Froakie took this opportunity to run through the thugs legs and stand behind Katie.
"Move little girl that frog belongs to us," said one of the thugs.
"No," replied Katie.
Katie takes off one of her pokeballs off her belt ready to battle.
"Little girl there are four of us and one of you. You can't take all of us alone," said one of the thugs.
"And what makes you think she's alone," said Andrew walking to her side.
"So you think two of you will make a difference," said the same thug.
"It does when you realize who I am," said Andrew.
"I don't care who you are I just want that Froakie," said the thug and by his appearance you could tell he was the leader.
"If you want this Froakie you'll have to go through us," said Andrew.
"That won't be a problem with one of my strong pokemon," said the same thug.
The four thugs all called out a pokemon. Two of them called out a Mightyena, one called one called out a Machoke, and the last one called out a Machamp.
"If there is one thing I cannot stand it is people like you trying to abuse pokemon. This Froakie will never be yours. Go Lucario," said Andrew.
"Go Absol," said Katie.
"It's still four against two the odds are in our favor," said the thug leader.
"If you want to talk about odds then they are in our favor," said Andrew.
"Why would they be in yours?" asked the thug leader.
"Let me show you," answered Andrew rolling up his sleeve.
"What is that?" asked the thug leader.
"Let me show you. Lucario, show him, mega evolve," said Andrew.
Lucario is encased in a sphere of his own aura. After Lucario lets out a loud growl the sphere dispands and now Lucario looks considerably different. Lucario's cream colored fur has become longer. He has also devopled etra spikes on his paws. Lucario's appendages grew longer and two had red on their tips. He also had spikes on his shoulders. His aura heignthing increased. He know had black lines on his blue fur. Three of the four thugs looked at Mega Lucario and returned their pokemon and ran away.
"Told you," said Andrew with a smile.
"You can keep that Froakie I'm out of here," said the thug leader.
He returned his Machamp and took off running. Andrew kneelt down in front of the Froakie and talked to him. Froakie looked at Andrew and started walking back towards the lab. Andrew and Katie after returning their pokemon followed Froakie back to the lab Froakie calls home. They walked inside and found out it was empty and Froakie was alone.
"This place looks abandoned," said Katie.
"I wonder how long this lab has been closed," replied Andrew.
They looked around the research area which is were the professor would hand many trainers their first pokemon.
"I think we should split up. We'll be able to find him faster," said Andrew.
(Around the Lab)
Andrew went to the left and Katie went to the right. They walked around and checked room after room till Andrew came to the last room and his side. He opens it and finds the Froakie looking outside into the world. Froakie turned around and looked at Andrew before looking back outside. Andrew looked at the desk and saw Froakie's pokeball.
"Hey Froakie would you like to come with me?" asked Andrew.
"Fro," said Froakie.
"Yeah I want to keep you as my pokemon," said Andrew.
Froakie jumped off the edge of the window and ran over to Andrew. Andrew picked up Froakie and walked out with him over to the table and picked up his pokeball returning him. After Andrew returned him and clipped his pokeball to his belt Katie walked in.
"Did you find him?" asked Katie.
"Yeah I did," answered Andrew.
Where is he?" asked Katie.
"He is with me know," answered Andrew.
"You caught him?" asked Katie.
"Yeah I did," replied Andrew.
"Cool you got a new pokemon too today," said Katie.
"Yeah I'll begin to train with him when I'm better. We should head back and grab our dinner. I asked them to bag it up for us so we can eat it at the Pokemon Center," said Andrew.
The two of them left the lab and walked back over to the Café they were at earlier and got their food before walking back to the Pokemon Center for the remainder of the night.
(Back at the Pokemon Center)
Andrew and Katie sat down and ate, and after doing so they both sent one pokemon back to their respective lab so they can use their newly caught pokemon. Andrew sent back Aggron and Katie sent back Poliwhirl. After sending back their pokemon Andrew had decided to open up his laptop and research about the lab they had went into earlier. He found out that the lab was closed before he became champion. He also figured out the lab was closed because it was supposedly a lab Team Darkness used. Andrew showed Katie this and both of them were quite shocked about it.
"I think I might have to check the lab out after I get back to DC," said Andrew.
"Why then?" asked Katie.
"It might share some info on their plans and I need some of the Pokemon League with me," answered Andrew.
After telling Katie that they both went upstairs took showers and went to bed for the evening. In the middle of the night Andrew woke up with some pain in his back. He decided he sit in bed and think about some events that happened.
There is no battling in this chapter. It is more focused on Andrew and Katie's day in Richmond. I know Halloween had already passed, but this story is in the fall which means Halloween is about to happen. Andrew and Katie meet a couple of pokemon Breeders in Richmond. They went halfway to Lakeside with the breeders till they got stuck in mud. They walked around some and Katie found a Goomey. Later in the day after returning back to Richmond they stopped some thugs chasing after a Froakie.
Trainer Update:
With Halloween right around the corner Andrew might ask Katie to join him at a Halloween event the League puts on for the kids.

Andrew now owns a Froakie
Katie now has a Goomey.

A lab in Richmond might have something to do with them.
