Dear Readers,
I am sorry its been so long since I updated. I am a senior in high school, so AP and my first/last high school musical have been taking up much of my time. Unfortunately, that isn't the true reason I've taken so long to update since the last one.
Right at the beginning of writing the next chapter, I realized that in an earlier chapter I made Bruce do something extremely OOC, so largely OOC that it negates everything Batman stands for.
Batman allowed Aika to carry a gun.
This wouldn't happen. Ever. That's the whole reason Batman is Batman. He doesn't like guns. I wasn't thinking when I wrote that portion- in fact I wanted to make it more realistic as Aika has no combat experience, so I gave her a weapon that (at least in Texas) only requires a few hours of training to use- and in my mistake I have desecrated Batman's message. And for that, I am sorry.
Unfortunately, I have run out of time (you get 90 days to edit a chapter after it's posting) to correct my mistake, so I'm trying to figure out a way to do it in the coming chapter. Obviously, this has caused a major case of writers' block on top of the usual case that comes with writing a new chapter.
If anyone has any simple ideas that I have totally missed that don't require editing previous chapters, I am open for commentary. Because right now, I've got nothing. Or, If everyone truly has no problem with Aika's firearm, I can continue writing as planned, but forego any fatal shots. Though, I would like to correct my mistake if possible.
