(Thursday Morning Still on the Train to Watertown)
It was an early morning for the three travelers. They were awoken by the train chucking over the bridge. It was a very rough ride over that bridge. They were still about 2 hours from Watertown and now just sitting there looking out into the water under the bridge and watching the occasional Goldeen jump out and back into the water. Emma looked down at her cell phone and then back over to Katie who was cleaning her glasses.
"So Katie did you finally ask Andrew?" asked Emma hopping he said no.
"Yeah I did," replied Katie.
"What did he say?" asked Emma.
"Yeah he'll come. He'll meet me in Boston when we leave there later this week," replied Katie.
"With him there are you going to do more than work at mom and dads' booth at the festival?" asked Emma.
"Yeah I will go to more. He has never been to Boston let alone a Halloween Festival as big as the Ghost and Ghoul festival," replied Katie.
"He should have some fun it is a big deal in Boston at this time," said Emma thinking differently.
"Does your parents know that you invited him Katie?" asked Brady interrupting Emma and Katie's conversation.
"I'll have to call them when we get to Watertown and tell them," replied Katie.
"I don't think it'll be to much of a big deal with them though," Emma said not really knowing what her parents are going to say.
Brady got up after hearing that and went looking for the snack cart for something to hold the three of them over till they get to Watertown. Emma left shortly after he did to go freshen up in the small restroom aboard the train. That left Katie sitting in her seat looking at her phone she was thinking to herself on how she was going to explain this to her mom and dad because that last time she had a guy in her life they embarrassed her whenever that guy hung out at her house. Brady returned with some pop tarts for each of them. He took his seat and waited for Emma to return.
"So Katie are you happy Andrew's coming?" asked Brady.
"I really am happy he said yes. I mean I would've understood if he couldn't make it, but then again I'm glad to see him again soon," replied Katie.
Emma returned shortly after Katie responded, she took her seat and Brady handed her and Katie their pop tarts and the three of them ate the two in the package and then threw their trash in the small garbage next to their seats.
"I'll be back I'm going to wash up in the bathroom," said Katie leaving.
Katie got up and left to the bathroom leaving Emma and Brady sitting in their seats the two of them start talking.
"So Em how do you fill about Katie inviting Andrew?" asked Brady.
"I don't I guess it's her decision. I may not always agree with her, but she'll do it any way so I'll just stay out of it," lied Emma.
"It sounds like you don't have much of a choice then," said Brady picking up on her lie slightly.
"Your right in this case," said Emma.
Katie came back and took a seat. She brushed her hair and cleaned off her glasses. After 2 hours the train had finally pulled into Watertown. Everyone aboard the train exited and made their way into the city. It was small and near a lake which made it another good place to fish. Once the three of them got off the train they made their way to the Pokemon Center.
(In Watertown)
Once inside the Pokemon Center they walked up to the counter to the Nurse and her Chansey standing there.
"Good Afternoon and to the Watertown Pokemon Center. How can I help you three today?" asked the Nurse.
"We need three beds for the evening," replied Brady.
"Ok that I can do. If you three would please follow me," responded the Nurse.
The nurse lead the three of them upstairs to the room with all the beds. The three of them set their bags down on their respective beds and walked back downstairs. The three of them took a seat in the waiting area. They were at odds on what to do the rest of the day.
"I think we should just rest for the day," said Emma.
"I don't. I think we need to get out and check out the town. It may be small but there is stuff to see," stated Katie.
"It was a long ride from Cincinnati to here I have to agree we need to just rest the for today," replied Brady.
"You guys are no fun. I get that we had a long ride, but how can you two just sit and wait for the day to end?" asked Katie.
"I don't need to answer that Katie so you can go check out the town. We'll be here when you get done," replied Emma.
"I think I will go look around," said Katie leaving.
Katie left the Pokemon and walked around the town. She walked throughout the small town there wasn't much to see she walked up and down the streets not much caught her eye to check out. On her way back she decided to stop and check the library she passed earlier. She walked inside and saw a little old lady sitting behind the computer.
"Good Afternoon young lady I'm the librarian if you need help with anything fill free to come ask me," said the librarian.
"Ok I sure will," replied Katie.
Katie walked around the library till she overheard a group of girls talking about a magazine they were reading. Katie overheard them mention Andrew and how they wanted to meet him because of who he is and the way he looks. Against her better judgment Katie walked over to the table and asked the three girls what they were reading. One of the girls showed her the title of the magazine. It was called "PokeyWeekly" on the cover of this weeks copy there was Andrew and his Glaceon and Hailey Andrew's long time friend and her Jolteon. Katie was curious on why they were on the cover so she deiced to walk back over to the librarian.
"Excuse me I would like to see a copy of PokeyWeekly?" asked Katie.
"Sure let me get it for you," responded the librarian.
The Librarian stood up off her chair and walked over to grab a copy of the magazine. Once she returned to her chair she handed Katie the magazine and Katie thanked her and walked off. Katie took a seat in a chair near a table and opened up the magazine. She thumbed through it till she came to the article the other girls were looking at. The title of the article was "The Making of a Champion/ Becoming a Top Coordinator" The article had both their point of views on how hard they worked to get to where they are.
"It's odd for Andrew to do something like this, but it is informative it talks about the struggles of becoming a trainer and how hard you have to work at it to accomplish you want," said Katie to herself.
After looking over it a few minutes longer she got up from the chair and walked over to the librarian again.
"Excuse me are these for sale?" asked Katie.
"Yes they are young lady," responded the Librarian.
"Can a buy two then?" asked Katie.
"You sure can that will be $7.50," replied the Librarian.
Katie took out her wallet and paid for the two copies. The Librarian put the one she was reading and another in a bag and Katie left. She walked back over to the Pokemon Center. When she got back to the Pokemon Center Emma and Brady were still on the couch, Emma happened to fell asleep on Brady's lab and Brady had the TV on.
"I'm back," Katie told Brady.
"Ok," replied Brady.
Katie walked back upstairs and put her bag with the two magazines in on her bed and walked back downstairs. Emma was awake when Katie returned down.
"So Katie how's the town?" asked Emma standing up stretching.
"It's a nice small town. I ended up going to the library and read this weeks copy of PokeyWeekly and Andrew and Hailey were on the cover and there was a article on them," replied Katie.
"I would have never thought Andrew would do that type of thing. He seems the type not to like to talk about certain things. What was the article about?" asked Emma.
"The article was called 'The Making of a Champion and Becoming a Top Coordinator'," replied Katie.
"What did Andrew talk about in it?" asked Brady standing up too.
"He was asked about his journey. He explained his good moments and his bad moments he went thought on his journey. He talked about the struggles a trainer would face making it to the top. He talked about how a boy from Sacramento became the Champion of the US region. Hailey's part talked about how she lost her first three Contests and managed to bounce back and win it all. They both explained on how hard they worked with their pokemon to get everything they accomplished," replied Katie.
"Sounds interesting," said Brady.
After Katie finished explaining the article the Nurse walked over to them to let them know that dinner was ready. The three of them walked with the Nurse over to the dinner table. The nurse put three bowls of pasta down before taking a seat herself to eat. After eating the three of them got up from the table and walked upstairs. Katie decided she would take a shower and Emma and Brady just wanted to go to bed. Emma and Brady got dressed and fell asleep. After getting out of the shower Katie wrapped a towel around herself and looked in the mirror at herself. She was doing a lot of thinking mainly about her relationship with Andrew. They talked about it before and that is was good to wait, but hearing those other girls in the library really got to her and all that was on her mind was seeing him in Boston later this week. She walked away from the mirror and got dressed before going to bed.
(Friday)
The three of them were up at 4am. It was cold and still dark outside, but they wanted to leave early enough to make it to Madison before night fall. This was the time Emma and Brady settled for while Katie was out yesterday. The three of them got up and packed up their bags before getting dressed for the day. Everyone had a jacket and long sleeves on because it was cool fall day. After getting dressed Emma and Brady walked downstairs while Katie did a few more things. She had to pull hair up in a pony tail, put her glasses on and last but not least put her necklace on. She walked out of the bathroom and walked downstairs and then the three of them left. It will be a long 12 hour walk to Madison.
They left Watertown and were now walking through trees on the road. Most of the pokemon were still asleep and those out right now were those that are out at night.
"Brady did you bring the snacks we need?" asked Emma.
"Yeah they are in my bag so when you two get hungry we'll stop and eat," replied Brady.
They have been walking for 2 hours when the sun finally started to rise through the trees. You could hear the flying type pokemon starting to wake up and chirp in the trees. On the road you could see the Bunnelby's hopping out their holes in the ground and begin to look for food. Among the trees some of the grass and bug pokemon that call the trees home started to wake up as well. The three of them came across a small area among the trees to take a break.
"We're going to stop here and eat," said Brady.
"Ok that sound like a good plan," replied Emma.
They all stopped and took a seat in the dirt. Brady took off his backpack and handed out the fresh fruit and berries he had. Each of them ate and then got up and continued walking. After walking another two hours the three came to a city called Marshall. This is where they had deiced to stop for lunch. they went over to a small restaurant and stopped to eat.
(Inside the Restaurant)
"So how far are we from Madison?" asked Emma.
"We have another six hour walk," replied Brady.
"So we should hit the market before heading back onto the road then," stated Emma.
"Yeah that would be a good idea. We are almost out of water and we could pick up some snacks," said Brady.
After waiting some time the waiter finally came with their food. The three of them ate it up and quickly paid before going to the market. On the way to the market they saw Seth. Seth walked over to the three of them.
"So it looks like the stooges finally made it here," joked Seth.
"I bet you think your funny," Brady shot back quickly.
"I have a right to make jokes. You see I have ten badges I'm just passing through to back and battle Lilly in Chicago. When I got there she wasn't there so I want my 11th badge from her," replied Set with a sly look.
"I don't care how many badges you have. I can still beat you," Brady said with anger in his voice.
"Your not worth my time right now. We'll battle when you manage to make it to the Champion's Cup," replied Seth.
"With your attitude I doubt you'll even make it," Brady responded quickly.
"As long as I win my badges which clearly I am. I'll make it," said Seth.
Brady and Seth stared each other down before Seth talked again and this time it was directed to Katie.
"Oh, and Katie not even your 'boyfriend' Andrew will know what hit him when he faces me," said Seth.
"If you have half a mind you would know that Andrew is better than any of us. He'll make you look like a fool if you manage to make it to him. You first have to beat me, Emma, and Brady plus all the others that enter the Champion's Cup," replied Katie.
"Katie, you three will lose before you even get a chance to face me and for Andrew I could probably beat him now if I wanted to," said Seth laughing.
"Why don't you challenge him then," replied Katie.
"I don't know where he is and if I did I will," Seth responded.
"He'll be in Boston later this week," said Katie.
"How do you know he'll be there?" asked Seth.
"Because I invited him to come check out the Ghost and Ghoul festival there," replied Katie.
"Good I think I'll show up and challenge him," said Seth before leavening.
The three of them now walked into the market and grabbed the supplies they needed and after getting those supplies they left back in the direction of Madison.
(Towards Madison)
After two more hours of walking the group came to a clearing. This is where they deiced to take their final break. Everything Set had said was still fresh in their minds. Seth was a douche by all means of the word, but he is not as bad as Zac is most times. Seth has a careless attitude and he was the same to his pokemon. With Zac he at least he cared for his pokemon, Zac would never release one because of how weak they are like Seth did.
"Can you believe that guy," growled Katie.
"I don't get him he thinks he's so good, but I don't know the last time he battled one of us he lost," replied Brady.
"He doesn't even think about what he says. He is not even on the same level as Andrew," said Katie.
"Yeah you're right on that," commented Brady.
"If Seth does come to Boston and battles Andrew he's just going to embarrassed in front of everyone," replied Katie.
A bug pokemon zoomed by them when Brady was getting food out of his bag. Shortly after that bug pokemon flew by three other pokemon did. They all were the same pokemon. They were blue with a large horn on their head. The single bug pokemon landed near a tree and so did the other three. The three circled the single pokemon. This was all visible from where the three of them stopped for a break. Katie got up and rushed over to the tree. She wasn't about to let the three bug pokemon intimate the smaller one. She called out her Absol and he let out a bolt of thunder. This scared the three pokemon that surrounded the smaller one. Katie pulled out her pokedex to get the name of the pokemon. It was called Heracross.
"Hey there," Katie said as walked up to the one left clinging to the tree.
The one clinging to the tree looked at her and hopped out of the tree. The wild Heracross walked over to her and looked at her and her Absol standing next to her. The Heracross stared back at her Absol before getting scared by the intense look he was giving off. The wild Heracross ran up the tree he was backed up against.
"Heracross, I'm not going to hurt you. You can trust me," Katie said trying to coax the wild Heracross out of the tree.
The wild Heracross looked down at her through some of the leaves. This particular wild Heracross lacked something the others chasing had. He was scared od everything around and rarely left his home. The other three Heracross forced this out because they thought he was to weak to do anything.
"Come on you can trust me. I'm in no way going to hurt you. You look scared and confused so let me help you," said Katie trying to reassure this time.
Brady and Emma walked over to her.
"We got to leave if he isn't coming out with you then he won't just leave him," said Brady.
"No, I'm not going to leave him here. This Heracross doesn't belong here he needs help and I refuse to leave him," replied Katie.
"Fine Katie we don't have all day if he isn't out in 15 minutes then you'll have to leave him," said Emma.
Katie tossed a look at Emma then back into the tree. She returned her Absol and sat there under that tree for a few more minutes looking up very few seconds to see if he climbed down. The wild Heracross watched her carefully before finally climbing down and looking at her.
"Hey there, I'm glad to see you finally climbed down," said Katie giving off a reassuring smile.
The wild Heracross sat down next to her and she gave him one of the berries she had. He picked it up and mowed it down quickly. He then looked at her again hoping she would give him another. Katie looked down a few feet in front of and picked up the last berry she had, she looked over at him and gave it to him. He took it from her hand and ate quickly again. The wild Heracross looked relax know he was full and happy with this girl that was giving him berries. She was a lot nicer then the female Heracross he has meet. Katie poked around her bag and took out her last pokeball.
"So Heracross do want to travel with me?" asked Katie.
The wild Heracross stood up and brought up his hands like he wanted to fight her first.
"So you want to battle me. I'm fine with that," replied Katie.
Katie stood up and unclipped Absol one more time. She tossed him out and he looked ready to battle.

The wild Heracross started first and he flew at Absol. He started to hit Absol in rapid succession with his horn.
"Absol use thunderbolt,"
Absol shook off the hits and let loose a bolt of thunder. This bolt of thunder struck Heracross and sent him into the tree. The Heracross was quick to jump back to his feet still ready to fight. Once back to his feet small rocks started to circle his body he then sent them at Absol.
"Absol use detect,"
Absol started to pick up the pace to avoid the rocks coming at him.
"Absol now use dark pulse,"
Absol opened his mouth and sent beams of dark energy at the wild Heracross. The attack hit him and sent him back into the tree. The damage was minimal, but still enough. Heracross was slower getting back to his feet this time around.
"Absol use razor wind,"
Absol started to whip the wind around. The wild Heracross flew at him again and landed right in front of him and tried to deliver a straight chop to Absol, but Absol sent the blades of wind before he could and these blades cut and slashed him before causing him to faint. Katie took as the opportunity to toss her last pokeball. The pokeball captured Heracross inside and it wiggled, once twice and for a third time before Heracross was captured. Katie and her Absol walked over the captured pokemon. She picked up her pokeball and put it in her bag because before she can use him she had to send another pokemon home. She thought about the six pokemon she had with her. She then deiced that once she get's back to Boston she'll leave another pokemon there in order to use Heracross.
(After the Battle)
Katie walked over to where Emma and Brady were standing waiting for her.
"I guess you captured him," said Emma.
"I had to I couldn't leave him here. It was against my better judgement as a trainer," replied Katie.
"I already know who you got that from," said Emma.
"Whatever sis," replied Katie.
The three of them returned back to the road for the last four hours of the walk. These last four hours were extremely uneventful and the group finally made it to Madison. They walked over to the Pokemon Center to check in. Madison wasn't all that large. The gym was in the center of town and it didn't have the same gym look. This time the gym was a haunted house and the trainers had to battle inside under the dim light against the Gym Leader Adrian.

"After all these stops and distractions we finally made it here," said Brady.
"And not a minute to late too," commented Emma.
She made that comment because the sun was just starting to set as they walked to the pokemon center. They walked in and walked to the front desk to ask for some rooms. The nurse showed them to the beds. They each set their bags on their beds and sat on them.
"It fills so good to sit down and relax on something other than the ground," said Emma enjoying the confront of her bed.
"Yeah I agree with that," replied Brady who was now laying down.
The moment was over when Katie's phone that was on the nightstand started ringing. Katie was in the bathroom so Emma got up and walked over to it to see who it was. It was Andrew.
"Who is it Em?" asked Brady.
"It's Andrew," replied Emma.
"Do you know why he's calling?" asked Brady.
"No, I'm not sure," replied Emma.
"Get away from my phone," Katie said annoyed at her sister.
"Are you going to tell us why Andrew is calling?" asked Emma.
"Why do you wan tot know," Katie shot back at Emma.
Before listening to a response from Emma, Katie picked up her phone and walked outside to answer it.
(Phone Call)
"Hey," answered Katie.
"I finally got a few minutes peace and quiet and I thought I would give you a call," replied Andrew.
"You've been busy," said Katie.
"Yeah I have. Wednesday I had this stupid Magazine article to do, Hailey and I hated doing it and yesterday I celebrated my birthday with my family and I called just to get more details about this Ghost and Ghoul festival," said Andrew.
"It is from the 24th of October till Halloween and the whole town gets involved. We have a carnival for the little kids and for us older ones we get to go to a couple Halloween parties thrown by the town and then we if your me I help out at parent booth at the carnival," replied Katie.
"That sounds like fun. You know of all my journey's up and down this region I have never been to Boston," said Andrew.
"Really that's odd of you. I can't believe you have never been to Boston," replied Katie laughing.
"There are places in this region I haven't been. Other than the time you were here in Sac with me have you been here before?" asked Andrew.
"Yeah Emma and myself were born and raised in Redding, CA. We had to move when I was 13 and it happened to be Boston," replied Katie.
"It sounds like you weren't there that long either," said Andrew.
"Yeah, dad had to follow his job here. I'll explain more when we get some time together in Boston," replied Katie.
"Yeah I need to get to know you better, just like you need to know me better," said Andrew.
"I know it's not like my dad won't play 20 questions with you either," joked Katie.
"Yeah,' Andrew replied sarcastically.
"Andrew, thank you for coming it means a lot to me," said Katie.
"Katie, I'll see you in Boston Saturday. Bye," said Andrew hanging up.
(After the Phone Call)
Katie put her phone back into her pocket and walked inside to find Emma and Brady at the dinner table. The nurse of the pokemon center was so kind and left Katie a portion and a bowl of the soup she made. Katie sat down and ate the soup.
"So what did he want?" asked Emma.
"He just wanted to know somethings about the Ghost and Ghoul festival," replied Katie.
"He could have just looked it up," said Emma.
"He could've but he didn't he called me," replied Katie.
Brady begun to speak up trying to beak the tension between the Hopkins sister's.
"So we have our gym battle's tomorrow so are we ready?" asked Brady.
"Yeah I am," replied Katie.
"So am I," replied Emma.
"Good he is a ghost type gym leader. So we should know what pokemon to use against him," said Brady.
Katie finished her soup and got up from the table and walked back upstairs leaving Emma and Brady at the table. Emma was clearly upset with Katie at the moment.
"So Em I know I already asked this, but is there a problem with her inviting Andrew?" asked Brady.
"You want the truth Brady. I do have problem. It's the same problem I had with her staying in Richmond with Andrew. It seems trouble follows him wherever he is. I don't mind him as champion, but as a person he is extremely hard to talk to. I'm glad Katie can pick up on what he does in battle, because he is a great battler, but she also picking some of his other qualities. I also talked to Tommy her first boyfriend and he said he wanted to talk to her when we get back to Boston. I fear with Andrew there this could be bad," replied Emma.
"Em I thought we were done getting involved with what she does, because like it or not she'll do it anyway," said Brady.
"I'm glad for Katie she found someone to crush on, but I hope she doesn't think anything more of it because I don't want her to get hurt. I think Andrew is that of person that would do that to her," replied Emma.
Katie was crushed when she heard her sister say that. It brought tears to her eyes to hear that from her sister of all people. She was used to listening and dealing with Zac, but from Emma it was differnet. It really stung.
"Em you maybe her sister, but she is doing this make herself happy and aren't you of all people glad she's happy," said Brady.
"I just don't want to see her hurt that's all," replied Emma.
"Em we have to trust her. She'll make the right decision and that's what we have to live with. If it's Andrew then so be it," said Brady.
"I guess so," replied Emma standing up from the table.
Brady stood up right after her and they both walked upstairs to their beds. Katie was in the shower when they got up there. Emma walked into the bathroom to get dressed and she heard Katie crying. Emma walked over to her and sat down next to her.
"I would take it you heard everything I said?" asked Emma.
"You said more than that last part," replied Katie through her tears.
"I stand by what I said Katie. I get that you have crush on him, but that's basically it. I know he likes you or has told you that, but the picture on the magazine says it all. Hailey and him are the perfect couple, not you and him," said Emma.
"I've heard it from Hailey herself that there at one time was something, but not anymore. Yeah they are great friends that have had a large amount of success because of each other that's it I don't understand why you don't get that," replied Katie.
"Because Katie I have seen it before and I just don't want you hurt. If you can't understand that from me maybe mom and dad will talk some sense into you about it," said Emma.
"Just go Emma I don't want to talk to you anymore," replied Katie.
Emma stood up and left the bathroom. Katie got up wiped her face and left the bathroom to. The three of them went to bed shortly after everything was said and done.
So here is the next chapter. They had a run in with Seth which is Brady's rival and he is head by almost ahead by 4 badges and he also wants to challenge Andrew if he gets a chance to. Katie caught a Heracross between Watertown and Madison and once they got to Madison Emma said what she really fills. And we also see why she doesn't care much for Andrew outside of what he does. We also see Andrew and his old traveling companion Hailey grace the cover of PokeyWeekly.

The next chapter will mainly focus on their gym battles and we'll also see Emma and Katie go at each other again. Then after their gym battles they will be flying back to Boston. Their journey will pick up again after Halloween in this story.
