(Early Morning)
Katie woke up before the other two because late last night she got a text from Andrew saying that his interview was moved to this morning. After waking up Katie walked down the stairs and walked over to the TV. She turned it on and turned on the local station. That station that she turned on had the same reporter on that did the interview with Hector.
(The Interview with Andrew Hanson)
"Good morning everyone. Yesterday I had the pleasure of interviewing this man's challenger today though I have the Champion himself Andrew Hanson. Now without further ado here is Andrew Hanson," said the reporter.
"Good Morning," replied Andrew.
"So how is London right now?" asked the reporter.
"It's good. It has been raining a lot since I have been here but still enjoyable," replied Andrew.
"So let's not waste anymore time. How do you respond to someone like Hector saying your a bad Champion?" asked the reporter.
"The job as Champion is not an easy. Those that think so are just foolish. As a Champion the region looks at you differently. They expect so much from you, it is on you to live up to the standards they set for you," replied Andrew.
"Hector said you have no lineage. How do you respond?" asked the reporter.
"Let's face it lineage doesn't matter. Yeah it is good to have someone in your family know the trails and tribulations of being a trainer, but it stops there. On a journey the experiences are yours, you grow with the pokemon you catch you learn with the battles you do. He talked about my older brother being a bad trainer, but that's not true he was a great trainer, yes he feel on bad luck but he's an even better professor. He has no room to talk about my father, I have never meet him he died before I could. From what I was told he was great professor and that's what I remember him for. Coordinators do battle, but with more flair," replied Andrew.
"Talk about your pokemon to us?" asked the reporter.
"The six pokeballs on my belt are my team. I have been through so many experiences with them, they have grown a great deal alongside me. It's not just the ones on my belt it's the ones that are at my lab. They are just as big as these ones. All of my pokemon are my friends, and even my family when away from my real family," responded Andrew.
"It's no secret that you have two mega pokemon in your arsenal. According to Hector it won't matter if you use them or not you'll still lose. How do you respond?" asked the reporter.
"He's right mega pokemon are not unbeatable. They have weakness, but in battle looking right at them it's a scary task taking one on I have battled a few in my time and they are hard. I don't take anything away from my challenger he maybe good but the thing is I'm better. I work my ass off day in and day out to not only keep my spot as Champion but to earn the respect of my fellow trainers," replied Andrew.
"Hector stated that he was the best trainer in the US. How do you respond to hearing such a thing?" asked the reporter.
"Each and everyone of us have a right at our own opinion. I don't have boost my ego and tell everyone I'm the best I want to be able to prove it. As I always say there is someone out there that is better than me he or she may not know it yet but once they face me and I lose and that person becomes Champion. All I'll be able to say that person is thank you and I'll be able to walk away knowing that the region is in good hands," replied Andrew.
"Any final thoughts Andrew?" asked the reporter.
"Hector listen and listen good. You can say what you want, you can do as you please, but remember on 28th of their month I will shut you up. I don't care how seriously you are taking this match but I'm taking it very seriously. When you and I meet face to face in the arena in DC there is no holding back I will throw everything at you if you were expecting an easy battle then you are sadly mistaken. You best bring your A game because without you will not win. Even with it you will not win. I will show you how I became Champion. Well thank you for having me and to everyone listening and watching I'll be back stateside soon," replied Andrew.
(Back in the Pokemon Center)
After Andrew said his final thoughts the channel went to commercial. Katie got up from the couch and walked upstairs. Brady and Emma were up once she got upstairs. The three of them got dressed and packed up their bags because after Emma's battle the three of them plan to leave the city.
(In London)
After finishing the interview Andrew left the hotel room and meet up with Ash and Cedric. The three of them made their way to the UK pokemon League Headquarters. Once they reached there Ash got a call on his phone. He looked down at it ignored it and walked into the building with the other two. Inside that building was full of other Champions from various regions all of which are here to be part of the Champion's League. Once they all saw Ash walk in they all quieted down and Ash spoke up.
"Good morning all of you since we are all here now let's go take our seats and start today's meetings," said Ash.
After saying that Ash lead the way into the battle arena turned meeting center. Most of the Champion's took their spots in various chairs set up. Andrew, Cedric, Lana, Hideo, and Ash all took their spots in front of the other Champions. Ash called the meeting to order. Right after he did his phone rang as did Hideo's Ash looked down at his and saw it was his League Commissioner. He stepped away from the podium set up an answered his phone. 15 minutes after answering his phone, Ash came back to the podium, Hideo returned to his spot right after Ash did.
"Excuse Me I must call this Champion League Meetings over there is an emergency in my region and I must get back there immediately. I'm sorry to have to do this but my duties are back in Japan. Today's meeting was addressing Blaine Drake's actions, but we will have to resume this at a later date. With all that said this Champion's League Meetings are over," said Ash before running out of the building.
A lot of the other Champions made their way out of the building and back to their hotel rooms. Andrew stayed around and talked to Cedric and Lana.
" So what do you think happened?" Andrew asked Cedric.
"If I had to guess Team Rocket attaked and caused some havoc," replied Cedric.
"I myself would leave if my region was under attack. I don't blame Ash for wanting to leave. If it's an emergency then I would want to get back to Russia just like he wants to get back to Japan," said Lana.
"I agree with you Lana I would want to head back as well. As a Champion our own region is our top priority and if something was to happen I would want to rush back," replied Andrew.
Andrew, Cedric and Lana all walked back towards their hotel rooms. The three of them had waited till the building had emptied before they left. Andrew was now left wondering what he should do. Not wanting to overstay his welcome so before booking his flight back stateside, Andrew decided to give Katie a call. Once back in his room he grabbed his cell phone off the charger and started to call Katie. Her phone rang twice before she answered.
(Phone Call with Katie)
"Hiya Andrew," said Katie.
"Hey how are you guys?" asked Andrew.
"We just watched Emma beat Kayla. It was close though it came down to Emma's Blaziken against Kayla's Sylveon. Now the three of us are heading back to the Pokemon Center to heal our pokemon and then we'll be leaving with mom to the next city," replied Katie.
"So all three of you have won your badges?" asked Andrew.
"Yes. So what's up with you? I thought you'd be in a meeting right now?" asked Katie.
"Normally at this time I would be, but Ash had to head back to his region something happened. I will be heading home tomorrow," replied Andrew.
"Why not fly into Rapid City. I'll wait here for you if you want me too. I'll just tell my mom that you'll fly me to next city," said Katie.
"I'm not leaving until early tomorrow morning. Are you sure you'll be ok by yourself there till then?" asked Andrew.
"Yeah I'll be fine. Andrew, just get here in one piece. I'd like to see you," replied Katie.
"I'll try and get a flight tonight if not I'll see you early tomorrow morning," said Andrew.
"If you do get one tonight let me know and I'll stay up and wait for you," replied Katie.
"Ok, I'm going to go check after I get off the phone with you," said Andrew.
"Stay safe and I'll see you when you get here," replied Katie.
Andrew and Katie both got off the phone.
(In the Pokemon Center)
Emma just got done healing her pokemon when she joined the other two sitting down on the couch waiting for her.
"So Katie who just called you?" asked Emma.
"It was Andrew," replied Katie.
"Why'd he call?" asked Emma.
"He's coming back to the US tonight or tomorrow," replied Katie.
"Does he know that we are leaving today?" asked Emma.
"I told that I'd stay here and wait for him," replied Katie.
"Mom wont let you stay you know that Katie," said Emma.
She'll understand once I tell her. It's not like I won't be there a day later, he already said he'll take me to Salt Lake City," replied Katie.
"She'll be here in 10 minutes," said Emma.
"I'll talk to her then. Till she gets here I'm going to go train my pokemon," replied Katie.
Katie leaves the Pokemon Center and walks out to the back. She grabbed all six of her pokeballs off her belt and called out all six of her pokemon. The frist pokemon out was her Absol, next was Pidgeotto, her Seperior was out right after. Goodra walked around right after he got out of his pokeball. Her Espeon sat down next to and looked up at Katie. And the last pokemon was her Poliwhirl.
"Ok you guys let's enjoy some fresh air before we get ready for the next gym," Katie told her pokemon.
"What a bunch of wonderful looking pokemon you have my daughter," said Michelle.
Katie turned around to see her mom walking towards her.
"Thanks mom," Katie replied in all smiles.
"So Katie, Em says you wanted to talk to me about something," said Michelle.
"Yeah mom I did. So I don't think Em told you that Andrew will be back either tonight or tomorrow. So I asked him to fly intp here. I told him I'd stay and wait for him and he'll fly me to the next gym," replied Katie.
"So you want me to leave my 17 year old daughter here by herself waiting on someone to get here," said Michelle.
"I'm fine mom I can watch over myself," Katie replied.
"I just can't help and worry that my 17 year old daughter will be alone here. You could be hurt and no one would know. It concerns me and worries me. I understand you want to wait for Andrew but I don't want you here alone," said Michelle.
"Mom I get your worried about me but I'll be at the Pokemon Center all day till Andrew arrives. After he does I'll go to bed and then we'll leave," replied Katie.
"Katie you are my youngest daughter leaving you alone in a city you are unknown with is against my principles," said Michelle with a stern voice.
"Mom, I get that but you have to understand that as long as I have these six friends of mine here by my side I'll never be alone," replied Katie.
"I guess your right about that. These six pokemon plus the two at home will protect you. The only way I'll let you stay is we won't leave till I know when Andrew gets here and you won't leave the Pokemon Center without Andrew by your side. Also I will call you once we get to Salt Lake City I expect you to answer, no ifs ands or buts," Michelle stated.
"Yes mom I understand," Katie replied.
"So when is Andrew suppose to call you back?" Michelle asked.
"He's not suppose to call till he got a flight booked," replied Katie.
Michelle walked back into the Pokemon Center while Katie stayed outside with her pokemon. She loved spending time with her pokemon almost as much as she loved spending time with Andrew. Her pokemon walked around the small arena. Katie sat down in the center and watched her pokemon. She took her phone put of her pocket and set it down on her lap. Her Espeon walked over to her and laid down next to her. A few seconds after Espeon fell asleep Katie's phone rang. This sent her Espeon to sit up and look around. Katie looked down at her phone and say it was Andrew. She picked up the phone.
(Phone Call)
"Hiya Andrew," Katie said.
"Hi Katie I thought I'd tell you that I'll be leaving to DC in an hour. I'm calling you from the airport," replied Andrew.
"Why are you going to DC?" asked Katie.
"Before I can fly to you I have to drop off my suitcase that I took with me to London," replied Andrew.
"Ah, I see. I guess I'll see you when you get here then," said Katie.
"I'll see you before the night ends," replied Katie.
"Are you sure you'll be up when I get there?" Andrew asked.
"Don't worry silly I'll be up and waiting inside watching TV," replied Katie.
"Just making sure. I better let you go then I'm checking my back in at the counter then I'm off to get my passport checked," said Andrew.
"Ok I'll see you when you get here and stay safe," replied Katie hanging up.
Katie returned her pokemon, put her phone in her pocket and then walked back into the Pokemon Center. Her mom was sitting with her sister Emma and Brady. Katie took a seat on the floor in front of them.
"Have you heard from Andrew?" Michelle asked.
"Yeah I just got off the phone with him," replied Katie.
"So what did he say?" asked Michelle.
"He called me while he was at the airport. His flight is in an hour he was going through the counter then he has to pass security and get his passport checked. He said he will be landing in DC dropping his luggage off then flying here," replied Katie.
"A flight between London and DC is 4 hours so give him 5 hours to get we'll leave in an hour," said Michelle.
(After Phone Call)
Katie acknowledged what her mother said and then got up and went back outside rather than walk out to the back she decided to walk around the town. Rapid City is smaller than some of the other towns they have traveled to. It was a quiet town with a lot of mom and pop shops. Katie's frist stop was a soft pretzel store. She walked in and got in line she was the 3rd person in line. She looked at the menu board displayed above the registers. Even before getting up to the counter Katie already knew what she wanted, she wanted the Cinnamon Sugar pretzel sticks with a medium strawberry lemonade. Once at the counter she placed her order and paid for it. She waited to the left of the registers for her order they called her number she grabbed her order and then sat down at a table. She didn't know it but someone was watching her, she didn't know the person and the reason why he was tailing her. After she ate she tossed everything in the trash and left. Shortly after she left the person tailing her did too. Katie walked back to the Pokemon Center.
(Back at the Pokemon Center)
Emma and Brady had brought their bags from upstairs down. They were ready to go, Katie took a seat on the floor.
"Katie we are going to be leaving here in the next few minutes. Remember don't talk to strangers and don't leave this pokemon center till Andrew gets here," said Michelle.
"Yes mom I know all I'm going to be doing is sitting here on the couch watching TV and waiting on Andrew," replied Katie.
After reminding her daughter of the rules Michelle brought the car she had to the front of the Pokemon Center. Brady and Emma put their backpacks in the trunk of the car once it was brought to the front. Once the car was loaded Michelle shut off the car and walked back into the Pokemon Center.
(An Hour Later)
"Please Katie stay safe and I'll call you when we get to Salt Lake City and tell Andrew I said hi because once I drop these two off I dropping the car off then I'm heading back to Boston," said Michelle.
"Ok mom I have my phone fully charged and I'll be waiting for your phone call," replied Katie.
"Remember Katie we will be at the Pokemon Center near the gym," Emma reminded Katie.
"I'm sure Andrew knows where that is so there's nothing to be concerned about," replied Katie.
"I guess your right," Emma replied with a sigh.
Emma, Brady and Michelle left the Pokemon Center and loaded up in the car. Once the they were in the car they pulled away from the Pokemon Center. Katie watched them leave before walking back inside. She turned the TV back on and turned to the Battle Network.
"Good Afternoon viewers and usually we'd air a old battle, but not today. Today I have invited some former trainers here and we are going to discuss the battle coming up later this month. If you live under a rock or haven't heard the battle I'm talking about is then let me tell you, it is Andrew Hanson or our US Champion vs. New York's own Hector Ramos. Now let me introduce the three former trainers I have. Starting to my left, she is a former Champion in her own right this is Sidney Vaughn. Next to her a man that needs no introduction I'm talking about Burton Ramos. He is a cousin to the Challenger Hector. Last but not least the teacher known for teaching our current Champion please welcome Mrs. Sandra Tomlin and I'm your host Thomas Haywood," introduced Thomas.
Katie yawned as the show went to commercial. She stretched out on the couch and laid her head down on the couch pillow. Once her head hit the pillow she feel asleep.
(3 Hours Later)
Katie was a woken by her phone going off on the coffee table she grabbed it off the table and looked who was calling it was her mom. She picked up the phone.
"Hi mom," answered Katie.
"I'm just letting you know that we made it safely to Salt Lake City," replied Michelle.
"Ok I just woke up I just took a quick nap on the couch and I'm just waiting for Andrew to let me know when he lands in DC," said Katie.
"I better let you go then Katie. Just stay safe and I'll see you when you get here," said Michelle.
"Yeah mom I know I'll stay safe and talk to you later," said Katie hanging up.
Not moments after she got off the phone with her mom her phone rang again. This time it was Andrew she answered it.
"Hiya Andrew," answered Katie.
"Hey Katie I just touched down in DC I got to get my luggage from the luggage area then I'll head to my hotel here. I should be there in an hour or so," replied Andrew.
"I'm glad you made it here safely Andrew," said Katie.
"Katie, why wouldn't I make it here safely?" Andrew asked jokingly.
"Do you really want to answer that Andrew," replied Katie with a smile on her face.
"Yeah, never mind I know why," Andrew said with a slight chuckle.
"Good then I don't need to remind you," replied Katie.
"Well I better let you go my ride is here to my hotel. I'll talk to you when I get there," said Andrew hanging up.
After getting off the phone with Andrew, Katie got up off the couch, stretched then walked upstairs. She grabbed clothes from her bag and walked into the bathroom, Katie then took a quick shower. She was know in jeans and a shirt and a jacket. She walked back downstairs and took a seat on the couch for a brief moment then got up again and walked into the kitchen area to see the Nurse making some food.
"Good Evening young miss. I hope you are hungry because I made a pot of chili so if you are ready to eat I'll pour you a bowl," said the Nurse.
"I would love some," replied Katie.
"Ok go take a seat at the table and I'll bring you the bowl," said the Nurse.
Katie walked over and took a seat at the table. The Nurse brought over frist a small container of sour cream and a package of cheese and set them down within arm's reach of Katie. After bringing those items the Nurse brought Katie a bowl full of chili. Katie topped hers with some sour cream and cheese. The Nurse took a seat across from Katie to eat.
"Where are the others you were here with?" The Nurse asked Katie.
"They left a few hours ago," replied Katie.
"Why didn't you leave with them?" The Nurse asked.
"I'm waiting on a friend to show up," replied Katie.
The doors opened after Katie said that she looked over her shoulder and there he was standing in the doorway. The Nurse got up and walked over to her desk.
"Greetings Mr. Hanson we weren't expecting you. So what brings you here?" The Nurse asked.
Before Andrew could respond Katie got up and ran over to him and hugged him.
"Never mind I guess I know why you are here now," said the Nurse looking over at them.
Katie stopped hugging him she looked up at him with a smile on her face.
"It's nice to see you too Katie," said Andrew.
Andrew and Katie walked up to the counter where the Nurse was still standing.
"Excuse me do you mind checking on this pokemon for me?" asked Andrew handing the Nurse Flygon's pokeball.
"Sure," the Nurse replied taking the pokeball from Andrew.
The Nurse walked into the back with the pokeball to check it. Andrew and Katie waited by the counter for her to return. As they waited the person that was following Katie walked over to them.
"Andrew Hanson I challenge you to a battle right here, right now," said the stranger.
"Before I accept the challenge frist off tell me who you are?" Andrew asked.
"My name is Javier Ramos, and I want to battle you," replied Javier.
"Let me guess your older brother Hector put you up to this," Andrew siad with a sigh.
"So what if he did I want to battle you so do you accept or are you a coward like my brother says you are," replied Javier.
"Tell me Javier what do you get doing this. Is it because your brother wants to scout my team," said Andrew.
Javier didnt reply, Andrew saw right past the façade and got right to the point.
"Andrew, let me battle him," said Katie.
"Tell you what Javier if you manage to beat Katie here then tomorrow I'll accept your battle. If you lose then you run back to your brother and tell him better luck next time," replied Andrew.
"Your on Andrew. I'll beat the pulp out of your "girlfriend" here then go on and battle you," said Javier.
"Give me a few minutes then I'll be ready," said Katie.
"We'll meet back here in an hour be ready Katie," replied Javier walking off.
After Javier left the Pokemon Center, Andrew and Katie finished their conversation. Katie looked forward to facing Javier but she doesn't quite understand why Andrew didn't want to.
"So Andrew why didn't you accept his challenge?" asked Katie.
"My theory is that Hector will be watching the battle. He wants to see my team frist hand and what better way then to have your brother fight me," replied Andrew.
"So you don't want him having any insight on you," said Katie.
"Not exactly my lovely Katie. If Hector wants to see my team then he'll have to wait till our match or go watch the thousands of prerecorded videos out there," replied Andrew.
"I don't mind battling him but I would have loved to see you beat Javier back to whatever city he's from in New York," said Katie.
"Honestly I wanted to battle him but it's a good training exercise for you. If Javier battles anything like his dad or his brother," replied Andrew.
"Why?" Katie asked.
"Do you remember Rainer the guy I battled back Cincinnati," replied Andrew.
"Yeah I do?" Katie asked with a puzzled look.
"Well Hector from what I've been told battles just as or even more aggressive then that. If his brother does the exact same then you'll be able to out battle him with relative ease," replied Andrew.
"So basically stick to what I have been doing. Which is following your advice and I'll be able win," said Katie.
"Katie, you have done well for yourself you have proven why your a great trainer just stick to what you do best," replied Andrew.
"Andrew, you sure know what to say to make me smile and people wonder why I like you so much," said Katie with a large smile.
Katie and Andrew walked over the counter where the Nurse was standing. Katie hands her pokemon over to the Nurse. The Nurse walked into the back and checked on her pokemon. Moments after handing the Nurse her pokemon she came back and Katie picked up all her pokemon.
Andrew and Katie walk out to the back of the Pokemon Center. Out there waiting was Javier and his brother Hector. Andrew and Hector stared each other down for a f we moments before he spoke up.
"I can't believe that our Champion needs to have someone fight his own battles. It's quite sad if you ask me," stated Hector.
"What's sad is you throwing your brother in front of the wolves den sorta speak. Having him take on someone like me for your own advantage is a joke," replied Andrew.
Hector snarled and looked at Andrew.
"Looks like I struck a nerve, but it's the truth you know it as well as I do. I'm doing you both a favor and saving him the embarrassment of losing 6-0 to me. Then again maybe I didn't Katie here will do the embarrassing part for me as well," said Andrew.
"Let's face it girls shouldn't be allowed to partake in a man's League. Girls should only be a Coordinator because they only frilly girly stuff," snarled Hector.
"Other than Katie here I know a few coordinators that will take offence of that. Being a Coordinator takes a lot of work. It takes practice to preform an appeal. It takes work for a Coordinator to battle like they do," replied Andrew.
"Yeah girl stuff," laughed Hector.
"You give them no credit when they deserve a lot of it. They work just as hard or even harder than we trainers do to prefect an appeal," replied Andrew.
"Not all of us work hard to be a trainer. Some of us are born with natural talent like the Ramos'. We are born to be trainers and the best ones at that," said Hector.
"Unlike you I work day in and day out to be the best. It takes heart, it take determination, it takes a will to win to be a Champion not someone who is so full of themself that they lose sight at what it takes to be a trainer. I tell every trainer that battles me, that ask questions to me or when I talk to those trainers that it takes a special kind of determination to be a trainer," replied Andrew.
"Anyone who believes in that sh*t shouldn't be a trainer. Some of us are just born to be the best. Those are trainers that should be around not the second rate trainers like you and by guessing like her," said Hector pointing at Katie.
"I'd love to beat your a** right now but I'd rather wait till we are on national television and anyone who follows your bizarre rhetoric sees you get beaten by what you call a second rate trainer,"replied Andrew.
"It's the same for you Andrew once I beat you on national television everyone will see what a footnote you are," said Hector.
Andrew stood with that grin on his face he was laughing inside. Katie noticed it and she elbowed him. Hector on the other hand looked at it as a sign of disrespect and took offense to it.
"No more games let's start this match so I can watch my brother kick her a**," said Hector.
Katie and Andrew walked over to one side while Hector and Javier walked over to the other side. Andrew and Hector both gave the two battling some advice.
(Andrew and Katie)
"Katie don't play his game stick to what you do best. Don't let him close in on you keep your distance and play to your Pokemon's strength," said Andrew.
"I know Andrew. I would love to prove to the Ramos' that the better trainer is a one that works with their pokemon," replied Katie.
"And of course have fun and beat the pants of this guy," Andrew joked walking off.
(Hector and Javier)
"Well Bro it's time to prove to her and that hack Champion that we are just naturally superior," said Hector.
"I know bro I know. The girl won't be able touch me. She have learned a thing or two from our Champion but that won't be enough to beat me," replied Javier.
"That's the right mindset you need bro to beat anyone," said Hector.
After the meeting the two trainers walke"d out into the center of the arena.
(Katie vs. Javier)
"I'll call out my pokemon frist then you can. We break after you lose three pokemon. We both can substitute at any time," said Javier.
"Well good luck then and may the better trainer win," replied Katie.
"Oh I'm sure I will," said Javier before walking over to his spot.
"You can call your pokemon out frist," said Katie.
"Fine by me, Go Staraptor," said Javier.
"Go Absol," said Katie.
"Let's end this quickly Staraptor, use close combat,"
"Absol use detect,"
Staraptor dove hard right at Absol, Absol effortlessly dodged the attack. Staraptor hit the ground claws frist. Katie nor Absol knew that Staraptor was stuck there.
"Now Absol use thunderbolt,"
"What!?" said Javier in shock.
Absol charged up quickly and then sent a bolt of thunder at the grounded Staraptor. The bolt of thunder struck his Staraptor. After being hit by the super effective attack Staraptor fell flat on his face.
"What?! That can't happen yet," shouted Javier.
Javier looked on in disbelief he can't soak in the fact that after one attack his flying type fell.
"Beginner's luck," scoffed Javier as he recalled Staraptor.
Katie looked at him with this look of determination that can look can be matched to a look Andrew would give out.
"Go Tyrantrum," said Javier.
"Return Absol and Go Goodra," said Katie.
"Tyrantrum use dragon claw,"
"Stop him cold with an ice beam Goodra,"
Goodra sent a rigid light blue beam of ice right at Javier's Tyrantrum who's claws were a white color. The beam of ice struck Tyrantrum and stopped him cold.
"Goodra now use ice beam to freeze his feet in place,"
Goodra lowered his aim towards Tyrantrum's feet and the ice beam froze his feet in place.
"Damn it, she would use a tatic that Andrew uses a lot," snarled Javier.
Andrew looked on with a smile on his face. He was surprised to see a maneuver that he accels so well with. Katie used it just as well as he could. At this moment Andrew did come to the realization that Katie has become an extremely gifted trainer.
"Goodra, let's finish this with a dragon pulse," said Katie.
"Beartic use ice beam," ordered Hector.
Andrew grabbed one of his pokeballs of his belt and tossed out his Aegislash.
"Aegislash use kings sheild," said Andrew.
Andrew's Aegislash was right in front of Katie's Goodra and brought up a orange shield in front of itself. The rigid beam of ice hit the sheild and protected both Andrew's and Katie's pokemon.
"Aegislash now use flash cannon,"
Aegislash quickly switched to sword mode and fired off a slivery beam right in the direction of the ice beam. The slivery beam nailed the Beartic. In this time Javier was able to return his pokemon and Hector and his weakened Beartic walked over to the arena.
Katie say the look on Andrew's face he was none to pleased by the interference and it showed.
"Hector that was extremely foolish of you to do. You don't try and blindly attack another pokemon while in battle," Andrew said angrily.
"You should have minded your own business I was only protected my brother," replied Hector.
"It became my business when you tried to blindly attack Katie's pokemon. Next time I'll do more than flash cannon your Beartic. That was reckless and dumb of you. If you were protecting your brother than answer why'd you attack her Goodra and not stop the attack," said Andrew.
Hector returned his Beartic and his brother and him left. Katie returned her Goodra and walked over to Andrew.
(After The Battle)
Katie walked over to Andrew and still saw him angry. She wrapped her arm around him he looked over at her and smiled. He can't be angry when she is with him.
"Shady tactics like that do anger me. Hector has no respect for the those battling. If things aren't going his way he then has to interfere with it," said Andrew.
"Andrew I understand that your angry about it but I wouldn't let it get to you. I think Hector wants it to get to you he trying to play with you," replied Katie.
"I know he is Katie. And I'm done being angry about it. Before the interruption you were battling well and I'm proud," said Andrew.
"I did learn from the best after all," Katie with a smile on here her face.
Andrew smiled back at her before the two of them walked back into the Pokemon Center. After getting inside Katie walked over to the counter and asked the nurse to check her pokemon. While the nurse did so she took a seat next to Andrew on the couch. She put her head on his shoulder and watched TV with him. Andrew looked over at her and smiled before looking back at the TV. He felt like he was a lucky man. He had a beautiful girlfriend, he was Champion, he had some good friends that he has meet, and he had a supportive family back in California. Andrew wasn't the only one feeling good Katie was too. Since meeting and getting to know Andrew she has fallen deeply in love with him. She has not felt this with any of the other guys she has dated. Her family likes Andrew which is a plus too.
"Katie your pokemon are ready, said the Nurse.
Katie got up and walked over to the counter and collected her pokemon from the nurse and walked back over to Andrew.
"After everything that has happened today I think its best we get to bed now," said Andrew.
"Yeah I agree with that as well," replied Katie.
Andrew got up from the couch and the two of them walked upstairs to the beds. Andrew walked over to the bed he had set his stuff down on. He collected his clothes and went to into the men's bathroom. Katie collected her clothes as well and then went into the girls bathroom. A few minutes later both of them walked out of their bathrooms and went over to their beds. After putting her clothes away she walked over to Andrew.
"How about a good night kiss?" asked Katie.
"Sure," replied Andrew.
Andrew gave her a quick peck on the lips. After the quick peck Katie rolled her eyes not expecting something like that, but even with such a quick peck she was still happy.
"Goof night Andrew," said Katie.
"You too Katie," replied Andrew.
The two drifted off to sleep.
(In the Middle of the Night)
Andrew and Katie were suddenly a woken by a click and everything pitch black.
"Andrew what is happening?" asked Katie.
"I...Don't know," replied Andrew.
I'm back! Sorry for the hiatus as everything hit me at once and this story kinda fell onto the back burner. I will try and not let that happnecessary. I'm not one for ending a chapter like this but I felt it necessary. Also I hope you all don't mind me not writing Emma's battle as there's really no need for it. I'll try and keep that to a minimum. The main reason is that I wanted to do the Javier vs. Katie battle so do enjoy that. Also do stay tuned to find out what is happening.
Trainer Update:

Katie got involved with the Hector vs Andrew feud.
Andrew firmly put Hector and Javier in their place.
