Hi everyone, it's been a while, and this may be late, but whatever…
Happy Holidays!
:)
-Rocky-
I hope you all have a great new year; whether I may know you or not. If you're a friend, an acquaintance or a complete stranger reading this, I wish you a happy New Year—cuz I'm like that.
That aside, whether you enjoyed my little blessing above or found it creepy, here is another chapter of Noob. In this Chapter, you may find my descriptions a little bland and repetitive, because this is a Chapter where all the action starts! (Yay?)
As a writer, I'm more of a 'let's all sit down and have a delightfully hilarious conversation' kind of person, where the most action you may find is someone slipping on the convenient banana peel that only appears in slapstick. So, this was definitely a challenge for me and I will strive to become better at this kind of thing.
Also, I want to mention that, again, I had to splice this Chapter. I got rid of a very important detail at the end, which I'm going to have to put out in the next Chapter, so you may find that the end was a little rushed.
WII FIT TRAINER IS IN THIS CHAPTER! I never thought it would happen but it did. I had a serious debate whether or not to make her a starring character, but now I can! I promised that she would come, and now here she is… in a very small portion, but there will certainly be more. Much more, so look forward to that. I also tried adding as many people as I could to the party, but I can't tell if it's a good thing or bad thing, but I'll let you all be the judge of that. I'd like to make everyone a part of this, even if it means giving someone as 2D as Game and Watch a role (not that I mind), but more or less, I'm trying to be as fair as I possibly can.
In response to whomadearealnove: Wow, what a coincidence! Though I'm sure that they are very different and every Alexis is unique, heck, yours is in a different videogame as well, am I right? That's another difference :). Also, you're doing a graphic novel? From what I've seen, since my friend is doing the same thing, it takes a lot of hard work and determination; even more so than writing a novel! That's really cool :D! I wish I could even draw in the first place! Anyway, thank you for taking the time to read my fan fiction, I really appreciate it and I'm glad that I've made it enjoyable to read. :)
And before we kick it off here, I want to thank everybody who has added my story to their favorites list and is following the story. Thank you very much!
DISCLAIMER: I don't own Nintendo or whatever company is in part of the development of Super Smash Bros. All I own is this fanfic, that's it.
Enjoy~!
Starring Characters: Alexis/OC, Samantha/OC, Jordan/OC, Karen-chan/OC (OC-Centric)
Supporting Characters: Cpt. Falcon, Wii Fit Trainer (Finally!), Pit, Peach, Zelda/Sheik, Link, Mario, Marth Samus, Master/Crazy Hand, and maybe even a dash Ike and Palutena and a pinch of Yoshi and Mega Man.
Word Count: 10,000+
Last Time:
Instead of being transported to the Central Hub immediately, where her 'Data' would be most likely permanently deleted from an Update, Alexis is a temporary 'Character' on the Super Smash Brothers Roster until Master Hand can figure out a way to bring her back to the real world safely. Though it wasn't his first choice, the Characters themselves have been influenced by Alexis, as a Virus, and refused to become the Mindless Puppets they were programmed to be. Welcoming the Virus into their System, Zelda and Peach set up Alexis with a Move Set to help her blend into the game for the time being, only leading her deeper down into the Central Hub. As she becomes more accustomed to the game, will this be enough to suffice?

Chapter 3
Accustomed to Kick Butt!
…
It is currently 7:00 AM, Eastern Time when Jordan had woken up. Today is a new day, and what do we do on new days? We make it a good one. This was the first day of summer vacation too, which made it even better. Then it will become even better when he gets to play his favorite videogame: Super Smash Bros. And to top it all off, Mom bought four boxes of Corn Pops.
He loves Corn Pops.
Ms. Higgins rushed down the stairs in business attire. Yet again, she has another meeting to attend to. Only this time, in another state, which takes 20 hours to get to by car, so she's going to take the plane and stay there for a few days. A meeting held in the state of Florida seems more like a vacation than a business trip, but no one's complaining, just a lonely Jordan. This was normal for a woman who was beyond busy attending two prestigious jobs; one wonders if she likes being this busy. Clad in a navy-blue suit, rushing down the stairs in those ridiculously tall high-heel pumps. Jordan wonders if one day, his mother will trip, as he is curious as to why she wears such uncomfortable shoes like those.
The moment she reaches the bottom of the staircase, she stops almost immediately. The child watches for her next move: She curses under her breath and begins to race up the stairs for the third time this morning. Two spoonfuls later, he watches her race down the stairs with stacks beyond stacks of paper that barely fit in the given folders fluttering onto the floor behind her like confetti at a parade, struggling to carry the briefcase through her arm; it was at this moment when Jordan wanted to help his Mom.
He reaches out for her papers, "Mom, let me—"
"Sweetie, not right now." She chided him, "You're too young to organize these. This is grownup stuff."
… Grownup stuff? You don't seem to have the gist of organization yourself, Mom.
She rushes over to the Kitchen Counter to organize the papers that haven't fell onto the ground, whereas Jordan went to go pick up anything that fell down, trailing up from the very kitchen to the stairs to the Master Bedroom where his Mother slept. But on his trip there, he couldn't help but eye curiously at the locked door nearby, almost taunting him.
The door has to be locked for a reason… Maybe that's where Mom keeps her cleaning supplies. She locks that stuff away simply because she thinks he'll drink the colorful stuff in the bottle. As much as he really loves his Mom, she often underestimates his intelligence. He only did drink that Mr. Clean when he was 3, but he was hospitalized, and he's learned never to touch a cleaning product ever again.
But there has to be more to that door than just cleaning products, it surely was a mystery for him to find out about sooner or later. As of now: he had some papers to give to his clumsy mother. He runs down the stairs only to find that she was already at the front door.
"Mom!" he calls out, just barely acknowledged, but still noticed, she continues to scramble her way outside of the front door.
"Jordan, Honey. I can't miss the plane. Traffic is bad at this time, since everyone is on vacation, so it'd going to be tough to get there."
Now, a vacation is definitely something that this woman needs, but unfortunately as of late, she can't fully afford a trip to a day-spa. The company she works for is paying for her trip down there. Jordan pouts "I've got your papers Mom!" he calls out again, Ms. Higgins stops mid-way in place and rushes to Jordan's side to collect the papers that fell to the ground.
"Oh my God, Jordan, I'm so sorry." The nervous-wreck trembled. He's had enough with seeing his mother in this state, but today was especially worse.
"Mom, please, calm down…" He attempted to console her, in which he has no experience in dealing with 'grown-up problems'. At least the thought is there.
"I'm sorry—"
"Stop saying that Mom, you're doing nothing wrong!"
She paused for a moment to inhale some air, her pupils drift to her feet as she gathered everything from her son and begins to make her leave.
"Sweetie" she begins her concluding word before departure for yet another long trip to somewhere, Jordan glances up at her for one last time, she pulls the sides of her mouth and curves it into a sad smile, "I'll see you later."
The young boy turned back and gazed at the floor, not sure what to think, as his mom had left the house almost immediately after. The boy immediately shakes off the last convention with his Mom and continues to live his own life—if you could call it that. He begins by turning on the Wii U, shifting his bum on the plush leather cushion of the loveseat, when suddenly, he hears the doorbell ring too soon after.
"Now who could that possibly be?" He asks himself aloud, semi sardonic about the lacking quality time he gets to himself. Mom had always told him that he should never answer the door when she's not around, but thankfully their front door has one of those looking glasses, so he could peer through it without being seen.
"Ohayō, Jordan-kun!"
Oh no. It was those girls who came yesterday (no one remembers how or why), but only the two sisters showed up this time.
"Karen, just stop talking, and let me do it. You're probably scaring him."
That was Karen and Samantha at the other side of the door. What could they possibly be there for? Did they forget something here?
"Jordan?" Samantha calls out, knocking on the tarnished ebony door, "Your mom called my cell not too long ago, and asked if I could babysit you while she's out."
Dammit Mom! Jordan's a big kid now, don't you know? The little one stomped his way over to the door, inwardly sparring curses at his insensible Mother, he swings open the door and welcomes the girls—yes, even Karen, into his home. Samantha begins looking around the area, and then turns back to Jordan. Jordan glances back at her cautiously as a smile was drawn on her face.
"Jordan, you're going to have to pack your stuff, you know…" she drawls out, "You're coming with us to our place. But don't worry! Our Family knows you're coming and we're happy to have you over!"
Jordan frowned at the thought of that. He's known these people for a while now, but he hardly knows who they are. Samantha observed the child and continued bargaining. "Dad's using the barbecue… and he makes the best burgers!"
"Ew. I hate burgers, baka!" Karen spat, "It's too American and gross! We should have sushi instead."
"Karen, shut up." Samantha quickly snapped at her sister before persisting to convince Jordan on getting his things together. "C'mon. You'll get to go home the moment your mom gets back. Don't worry, everything is planned out—!"
"No."
Samantha let out a hefty sigh, "Jordan, why not?"
"Because I'm tired of being treated like a kid…" He declares, flames stoke in his eyes, "I can take care of myself."
"Baka-Jordan-kun!" Karen spat again, "Don't you know about the—"
"Holy crap, Karen, you're not telling him another one of your Creepypastas!"
"But—"
"No! I forbid!" she finalized before turning to Jordan again. "Exactly how old are you again?"
"I'm 10 years old and into my double-digits!"
"… right, and did you know that the legal age to stay home alone is 13?"
"…"
"That's what I thought." She simpered, "Come on Jordan, we don't live that far from you guys. Just a couple of streets, but we're all in the same subdivision."
"Fine." The boy huffed, giving into the demand of the girls by going upstairs to pack his bags things together. Again, passing that locked door beside his room, and it taunted him. But disregarding the door was simple now that his mind was put to the task. He gathered all the necessities for a simple sleepover like pajama's and a toothbrush, extra clothes. That was as much as he planned on bringing anyway, other than his 3DS.
"Ne ne, Jordan-kun, can we bring your Wii U?" is a request that he heard from the bottom of the stairs from his favorite weeaboo. "We don't have one at home, and we want to play some Smash, desu!"
Is she serious?
"Karen! Rude!"
… Well, I'll probably get pretty bored there, so why not?
"Okay, sure." He responded as he lifted the bag to go around his shoulder and sauntered down the stairs. Samantha rolled her eyes at the triumphant smirk Karen casted her way.
Samantha begins by unhooking the system from the television while Karen helps Jordan carry his bag over to the car.
Karen opens the trunk door of the car to place the bag in, when she asks, "Jordan-kun, are you excited?"
"No."
"Well you should be, desu. Samantha is gonna buy you some new games!"
"Dammit Karen, I heard that!"
8:15 A.M. (Character Menu/Roster)
Oh no. Not this again.
All of the Characters, plus Alexis, were seated in that circular chamber once again, undoubtedly preparing for another battle that she might have to participate in. In front of everyone in the center was that hologram that displayed the Menu and the actions of the players.
They seemed to be switching a lot between the 'Smash' Menu and the 'Games and More' Menu. Secretly, the human was rooting for the 'Games and More' Menu. It just sounded friendlier, but given the kind of game she's in, she very well predicted yet another senseless beating in a world where she is utterly defenseless. As of now, she sat between an angel clad in white named Pit and a green dinosaur called Yoshi; both of these characters seeming overly-anticipated to kick some more butt—almost too enthusiastic for Alexis' own personal comfort, as Yoshi was wagging his tail to prove so. Pit glances at the nervous human attentively, "You alright?"
Taking her by surprise, Alexis jumps and faces him, "Um, not really…"
Pit raises an eyebrow at the human, "What's there to be so freaked out about? It's not like you're going to die or anything, right?"
"…"
The angel proceeded to sling an arm around the shamefacedly speechless human, "I mean, you technically did save us from that fate, and by the way, thank you."
"Erm, you're welcome?" she leans back, shrinking from the angel's hold, not exactly sure if she should accept that sort of gratitude as either good or bad.
"Seriously, answer my question." Pit returned back to the original concern, "What's with the face?"
"Probably because she got totally served in her last matches!" Sonic responded on cue, sitting directly across from them.
Grr.
Alexis exhaled a mighty sigh, turning a blind eye to the rodent's ignorance, she explains to Pit as best as she can. "Okay, what happened back there wasn't my fault."
"No of course not!" Pit applied, "Being the most pathetic thing on the Roster, I understand you had no choice!"
"…" Alexis didn't know how to respond to such a sympathetic insult, but she tried anyway. "Okay, but the issue I had was that… well you know how you guys have some sort of spiritual connection to the Player?"
"Yeah, what about?"
"Well, I didn't know that at the time, so basically I couldn't move!"
"Okay…" Pit nodded, trying to puzzle pieces of the issue together.
"And to be honest, I don't even know if I can connect to the 'Controller' or 'Player'." She confessed, "That's what I'm 'freaked out' about!"
Pit nodded again, this time the puzzle was complete.
"Problem was that you weren't compatible with the Player at the time. Thing is, every Player has a Character that they work best with, you just haven't found yours yet."
"Is that the case?"
"Not to mention…" Sheik adds in, but was immediately cut off by Pit, who she sat directly beside. But her presence was unacknowledged.
"You! Where did you come from?" Pit questioned, causing Zelda at the other side of the room to pinch the bridge of her nose for Sheik, whose nose was covered in cloth.
"I was here this entire time, Pit. That's considerably bad-mannered of you not to notice." She glared at Pit, then continued by shifting the glare towards Alexis, "And before you ask, I'm Sheik. The reason you weren't compatible with a Player to begin with is because you weren't fully registered as a playable character. That being for the reason that you didn't have a MoveSet. But now that you do, you'll notice a change in control."
"And how do you all know this." Alexis felt compelled to ask both Sheik and Pit. Pit was the first to respond.
"Because we were built for this game. Duh."
"Right…"
Everyone shifts their attention over to the decision that was made by the Player on the Hologram: 'Games and More'. Then shortly after, the Player selected the 'Group' Option, then selected a mode called 'Classic' Mode.
Again, the Character Roster is displayed upon the Hologram, with the smaller hands gliding over it, carrying little discs of the Random Selection, when Marth and Samus were engulfed in a red and blue light, similar to last time, and everyone watched as they were fading away, dematerializing in the light.
On the hologram showed the characters on a scale, balancing out with a pile of gold coins. The weight of the gold coins increased enough to lift the characters as the slider on the top increases to 4.5 undergoing by the title 'Extra Spicy'.
As soon as the Difficulty was chosen, a board was displayed that showed the two chosen characters, Marth and Samus as Trophies, sliding across the board in a jungle of Character Trophies, grouped together. The moment they had hit one, the moment the Hologram had to fade to black.
A hand full of chosen characters dematerialize in white lights such as Pit, Peach, Mario, Ike, Rosalina (who was subtitled on the screen as a 'Rival') and Villager, in the same fashion as the first two to disappear, as the Hologram shows close-ups of the all characters that were selected as a roulette in the top corner spun between various options like Trophies, Gold and Custom Parts. The location chosen was called Yoshi's Island as it had shown an unrealistically green plain that scattered floating blocks everywhere with emerald pipes at the very left and a steep hill rising to the very right. As per every stage, it was a linear setup where the Characters were to fight in a narrow direction. No drastic changes… yet.

P1. Marth/P2. Samus vs. CPU. Mario/Ike vs. Peach/Pit vs. Rosalina and Luma/Villager
Stage: Yoshi's Island
The roulette made its stop at picking up 140 Gold before the match had started. Everyone in the circular room watched intently, especially Alexis, who knew she must grow accustomed to her new (and hopefully temporary) life. Sheik scoots over to seat herself beside the human, stealing Pit's original spot, watching the battle that had started just now; and already all over the place.
Samus charges a power blast and fired at Mario, but Mario deflects the shot with a cape and successfully strikes that attack towards Villager, who flew right out of the area.
CPU PLAYER DEFEATED (Villager)
Rosalina shot a Luma towards Ike, who was knocked far behind at impact, but reacted to take advantage, when Marth was jumping up to reach the ledge that he originally fell from, to jump onto the Prince's head and reach the ledge himself, while Marth fell to his doom.
PLAYER 1: -1 STOCK (Marth)
"Sorry Marth!" Ike takes a moment and calls out. Lucky that Marth has an extra stock as the Player though, because the Prince came back for revenge and swiped the Mercenary flying off of the stage with a surprise Ken Combo, where he tossed Ike skyward, jumped and had shot the CPU Mercenary downward with the swipe of the Falchion over the ledge before jumping back on course.
"あなたは非常に愚かな戦士である!" (A)
CPU PLAYER DEFEATED (Ike)
Upon watching it from an outside perspective, Alexis can see exactly how intense these battles can get. There was a shudder that pulsed up her spine at the very thought of getting involved in these super-powered fights as Sheik glances at the human half way through the battle.
"Hey, Alexis."
The human responds by turning her head silently to lock gaze with the Sheika. "May I help you?"
"No, but I may help you." Sheik proposes, "Did you notice that little red wrench icon that sat between the trophies that lead the Players to this battle?"
"I think so…" she considered after the recollection of what she saw so far.
"That may be an upgrade for your MoveSet." Sheik estimated, grinning underneath the cowl, "It will help you get stronger when fighting us, so don't take what Badges you have so far to heart. I'm sure you'll become much stronger later."
"… I'm sorry, but do I know you?" Alexis questions, shrinking into her seat. Was this guy a stalker or something? As much as she knew, it was Peach and Zelda in the room with her, giving her the Badges and this guy was nowhere to be seen. However, Sheik's gaze was unfixed by that comment, as she wasn't too surprised or offended.
"I don't know if I should bother telling you, because you might hurt yourself trying to understand it."
Ouch. But hey, Sheik wasn't a stalker; she's part Zelda, but that little bit of info is way over the human's head.
Pit deflected Mario's fireballs with the Guardian Orbitars while Peach immediately comes to aid Pit and grasps at Mario, holding the Italian Plumber in place, repeatedly hitting him as he struggled, until he was stricken by the very fireball that was deflected by Pit.
All this while Samus had been saving up a charge shot to the very tip of the scale, while fighting Rosalina on her own. Samus was swift to dodge the strikes from the Galactic Guardian, but Marth was even quicker to back up the Bounty Hunter, leaping over the both of them and raid Rosalina from behind with the powerful technique of the Dolphin Strike Special, tossing the worn-out Rosalina into the air... for her to not return down.
CPU PLAYER DEFEATED (Rosalina & Luma)
While Samus detonates the long-anticipated plasma blast, fully charged at the CPU's huddled together, Peach and Pit tanking against Mario on the slope on the very right, taking out the unfortunate trio all at once.
CPU PLAYER DEFEATED (Mario)
CPU PLAYER DEFEATED (Peach)
CPU PLAYER DEFEATED (Pit)
The fight had eventually ended with the last two standing being the two original Player Characters Marth and Samus, where at the end of the battle the Characters have received:
Score: 41360
Gold: 216 G (+140)
Custom Parts: Protection Badge
These Players were headed for the next battle, when the CPU's that were chosen for the last fight return to the circular room in their own seats: and for Pit appears in Sheik's lap.
"Dude!" Pit whined, "Get out of my seat! I was sitting here first!"
Sheik whiffled at the boy-angel, "Serves you right for being ignorant earlier. Sit in my old one, for Player's sake!"
Alexis observed the very awkward bicker between the two beside, as she turns to Yoshi beside her and asks in a hushed whisper. "Do they always fight like this?" pointing to the Characters who fought over a seat.
"Yoshi!"
"… Right." Just recalling that half of the cast in this game can't even speak English, she turns to the duo and places her hands on her hips. "Guys, stop fighting."
Sheik respectively puts a halt to her strangling as the scrappy angel continued yanking at the ninja's braid, shooting the human a glare. "Or what? What are you going to do about it?" he mocked, half-playfully nonetheless. Whether he was being serious or not, he did strike up a very good question that made her to bite her own lip in response, just thinking about how she can do anything here…
Well, sitting and thinking is certainly never going to resolve anybody's bickering, is it Alexis?
...
Two battles in already, and it's the third round.
P1. Marth/P2. Samus vs. CPU Mario/Link vs. Luigi/Olimar vs. Mega Man/Ness

"Don't think I'm going to go easy on you, Samus." Mario briefly warned her, motioning his arm forward and waving his hand, telling her to 'bring it on'.
She's taken him on in the previous battle, she could definitely take him on now, right? Well, not as far as Mario is concerned. Samus fires a missile at Mario, who deflects it with his cape, for the missile to rocket in her direction. She rolls behind Olimar and grabs the alien, kicking him towards the explosive artillery to protect herself. That Mario is smart, so she's going to have to try for another strategy to take him down. Mario runs towards the Bounty Hunter himself and slings the infamous Fireball projectiles at her. The fireballs barely skim her as she moves her way past them and forms into a ball to drop one of her bombs at Mario before moving ahead from him. Though the bounty hunter wasn't quick enough, as he grabs her and throws her back to the other side of the stage. Her body hits the floor when some genius had obtained the Golden Hammer and proceeded to hit a Smart Bomb with it.
CPU DEFEATED! (Ness)
PLAYER 2: -1 STOCK (Samus)
As for Marth, he faces off against Link. The Hero of Time peerlessly challenged the Altean, with a series of dodging and a mad talent at tossing bombs. The Hylian matches movement in evading the simple stabs of the Dancing Blade technique, rolls behind Marth and tosses a bomb from behind as the Hero King swings his blade up in the air where Link once was, being left completely vulnerable. Marth recuperates quickly, and picks up speed when he spotted a Bob-omb appear nearby. He wanted to use an Item at this point as he predicted an unfair loss, so he picks up the Bob-omb and throws it in Link's path, however, the Hylian was smart enough to swiftly pick up the Bob-omb with the Gale Boomerang, before it hit the floor. To his advantage, he retaliated in a similar feat by throwing it right back at the Player 1 Marth.
And what about Mario? While our focus had been on Marth and Link, that cheeky little Italian plumber has been collecting Dragoon pieces!
PLAYER 1: -1 STOCK (Marth)
CPU DEFEATED! (Olimar)
The Dragoon that Mario had built instantly swiped Marth and Olimar off of the stage.
Things were not looking good as of far. Marth and Samus both only had a single stock left. Both of them missing a connection with their current Players, as they had determined that the Players that guided them now are not compatible with them.
And to make matters only worse, the CPU Characters partly ganged up against the two Player Characters. Mario had taken a stock from Samus earlier as Marth had his taken from the Dragoon.
Mario began again at Samus, settling of scores for taking him out with that charge shot earlier. He begins with charging up F.L.U.D.D. while avoiding the Player Characters. Samus herself was attacking Luigi with, uninterrupted as Link jumped in from the blindside and lands a critical strike on her with a Ground Stab aerial maneuver, when Mega Man had taken the advantage of the launched Samus and hurled a Metal Blade in her direction and successfully landed a hit. Still in the air as she was, Mario had his revenge by running up to the ledge that Samus flew over, but before she could react, she was rushed off of the stage by the F.L.U.D.D.'s mighty pump of water.
PLAYER 2 DEFEATED!
Marth dashes up to handle Mega Man himself, proceeding to perform the Dancing Blade technique, the prince thrusts his blade into the air—just missing Mega Man who had dodged, stirring over behind him. Marth grit his teeth, trying another strike at the Robot when from behind Luigi launched, head first, into the prince's back, proceeding to toss him over to the other side of the stage. The same place where Mario had struck the bounty hunter, as the plumber had waited for Marth and punched him, square in the jaw, upward as aesthetic fake coins flew out from impact. Link catches up, leaping up onto a floating platform and jumped off spinning in a helicopter like motion, slinging his blade out to knock Marth sky-bound. That wasn't enough to get Marth off of the stage, the prince quickly reacts in taking vengeance for Samus. A Smash Ball had appeared from thin air and Marth had slashed it once on his way down.
But it didn't open.
Marth's feet had touched the top platform, as he was about to land another hit on the Smash Ball when Luigi had sprung up and swiped his hand down towards him, but the Altean was quick to counter that move and send the green-clad plumber flying off of the stage.
CPU PLAYER DEFEATED! (Luigi)
Marth then continued after the Smash Ball, and landed another weak hit on it when Mega Man cuts in front of him and launched the prince back with the Hard Knuckle.
"あなたは私迷惑です!" (F)
"…" replied Mega Man, casting yet another one of those blank stares as he charges towards Marth, a Crash Bomb in hand.
"いまいましい!" (G) Marth hissed as he charges at the little robot at almost top speed, but this left the Prince vulnerable to Link, incoming from above with his Final Smash…
PLAYER 1 DEFEATED!
REALITY...
Jordan and Samantha had made a new vow: never to choose the 'Random Character' Option on a difficult level ever again. Not only did they feel inferior as Smashers, but now, Jordan lost some Gold Coins.
Jordan and Samantha have been playing the new Smash Bros. game for almost half an hour in the basement, as Karen was… not anywhere particular enough to care about, really. Their aim was to get the trophies of all the Characters, so they could do that next with All Star Mode.
Jordan was Marth, but unfortunately, he's not used to the swift, medium-ranged middleweight. He's more of the slow-paced, heavyweight powerhouses like Link. He felt partially insulted that his favorite character Link ended the match with his Final Smash. He feels a certain connection with that green-clad warrior.
As for Samantha, she was Samus. She's not really familiar with the Bounty Hunter's Moveset. Samus was more Joanna's kind of character to play as, as Samantha is used to more of the heavy character's with a more close range attack strategy.
The two had been playing this game, it was 2:00 in the afternoon and the weather was dribbling spots of rain here and there—not that they planned on going outside anyway. Although, Samantha slightly envied the characters who just fought in Delfino Plaza. She'd appreciate some nice, beach atmosphere right about now.
But since they weren't planning to go outside, they weren't necessarily in the mood for playing videogames either. This videogame of Smash in particular. There's just… something unsettling about losing in a beloved game as professionalized as this one. Smash Tournaments? This game was taken pretty darn seriously for something like that to be displayed publically.
"Do you want to go for another round at Classic Mode?" Samantha impassively asks Jordan, gazing at the air in front of her.
Jordan, in a similar fashion responds, "Maybe. Depends if you have any other games to play."
"Well, if you're in the mood, I've got PlayStation All-Stars—"
"Don't you dare!"
"… Diehard Nintendo fan-boy, are we Jordan?"
"Whatever." The boy whiffles, "how about we just… we don't pick random characters for now."
"Well… We're getting trophies of all of the characters, right?"
"… Yeah?"
"I think we should pick random characters, but maybe in an order… starting maybe with the Super Mario brothers at the left."
"Egh… They're so standard and boring! What about from the bottom right?"
"But you don't have any Mii Fighters! And quite frankly, I hate Pac Man!"
"… Do you want to pick random?"
"… I think it would be easier to be forced to take a character. Just as long as we get an easier level."
"Agreed."
Karen ambles down the stairs with a tray of pink cupcakes in her hands. "Guys! I made kawaii-kekis! Want some?"
"Kawaii-keki?"
"Or cute-cakes, as she should say in English." Samantha glared at Karen, "what are you doing down here anyway?"
"I made stuff on my Easy-Bake, Nya! I'm sharing with you guys because I have to keep in shape!" the Wapanese explains, "I have an anime convention to go to next week, I'm cosplaying as Misaki from Kaichou wa Maid-Sama! She's super sugoi!"
"Ehm, what did you just—"
"—Don't even bother talking to me, baka-pervert-Jordan-kun!"
"Jordan, don't take her too seriously, she's just getting into Character." Samantha clarifies before he could retort to Karen's insult.
"You baka-gaijin! What are even doing sitting around playing videogames?" Karen spat distastefully, getting in character, "Find something productive to do!"
"Wow Karen!" Samantha intercepted curtly "Try defining the word productive—actually, can you even spell it?"
Karen giggles at her sister, "No need to get so angry, Sammy-sama! Leave that for Super Saiyans!"
"… Of course."
Karen takes a seat between Jordan and Samantha, "Can I play with you guys?"
"No." Samantha was quick to answer, simple, but with a cutting edge.
"Can I at least watch you guys play?"
"Okay, but if you give Jordan and myself hell about us not being a character pair that you ship, I will seriously kill you."
"Hai~!" She giggles
Both of them place tabs onto the 'Random' selection and press 'Start'.
PLAYER 1. Captain Falcon.
For the Love of Bird! It's Captain Falcon! Jordan loves this guy so much that he's practicing with Captain Falcon just for the sake of kicking butt with Captain Falcon. It was since Brawl that he's been practicing his own 'Falcon Punch', and dude, that suspension from school was so totally worth it.
"Jordan, can we switch out?" Samantha asks him, he glances at the Character to see it was 'Alexis'. Weird. But he couldn't help but laugh at her loss for playing as a crappy character.
"We can't turn back, remember? I guess you're stuck with her!"
"Dammit!" She barked, "Fine, but if we lose once, we're going to play the PlayStation."

Dammit! Out of all people; why did it have to be me?

"Ah, don't worry, kid. As long as you listen to me, you'll do fine."
2…
"Okay, what should I do then?"
1…
"Just stand in the back and watch Papa-Falcon kick ass and look marvelous!"
"Um, okay."
GO!
Alexis began by running to the left of the stage, slipping herself down through to lower levels of this massive stage. Partly because she avoided the fight like Captain Falcon had told her to, but also because this place was huge and she grew very curious. However, her intention on going down there was a tremendous struggle. There was some sort of force that pulled her up, but she tried fighting it as best as she could. Her arms and legs were beginning to move by themselves and they marched her over to where everyone fought each other.
Must… Obey… Captain's… Orders!
She couldn't help but look over at her partner, who was actually kicking it with absolute ease. The Captain punted Ness in the gut, who then hit Pit and knocked them off balance. Palutena swerves her way in front, aiming to attack Captain Falcon by dashing her shield against his face, though the Captain was too quick. He rolls behind the Goddess of Light…
"FALCON PUNCH!"
Palutena and Bowser are sent flying with a fiery fist of Captain Falcon!
CPU DEFEATED! (Bowser)
Alexis' eyes begin to water at the mere sight of all that glory, but shakes off her little trance and fights the force that pushes her into the crowded mess of fighters. However out of the gathering came Palutena. As for Palutena, when she targeted the human, there was a sense of injustice that washed over her. Palutena dashed over and bashed Alexis in the face with her shield, and the human was knocked pretty far back.
Alexis cried out a shriek in pain, trying against all her might to balance herself out. She felt as if she was going to collapse, but again, it feels as if a greater force is telling her to fight back, as she should. The human swings her fist for the Goddess of Light, but Palutena swerves behind and casts off a pillar of light that strikes Alexis from the ground and continues with a series of attacks. Alexis feels her whole body becoming lighter per beating.
"You don't belong here." The Goddess' hiss collaborated with a swing to the human's gut, knocking her into a Danger Zone. Alexis struggles to get up, she can feel a shake run through her bones and the swelling along her back.
(PLAYER 2: 101%)
But again, the greater force just had to spring her body up to get even more punches. The feeling is driving her crazy. She wants to run away from Palutena, who's thrashing her into pulp. Alexis feels too weak to proceed and wonders how these Characters recuperate quickly enough to continue on. Her knees wobble and her stomach churns, yet somehow, something is driving her to fight back. There's an image in her mind saying:
B-B-B
And a tingling in her leg. What could this possibly mean? What once was a mere tingle conserves all her energy into that one, same leg.
B-B-B-B-B-B
Her other leg firms it's foot into the ground, preserving this energy. It's not like she's doing this by choice, but she can't necessarily say it's the force either. More like. She's being guided into performing… this.
B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B
The one leg planted into the ground spins at the ball of the heel, now all of the focus curbs into the free leg, springing into a straight line, stretching out towards Palutena with all of the forces focused into it. The momentum swiveling matter along that one leg so powerful the world around her is bending, time is stopping as she swings forward in motion as the image everyone around her begins to blink, and the missed impact breaks the sound barrier with the blaring rupture of an explosion, as she feels a tremendous heat wave wash over her subsequently. Alexis couldn't see everything that just happened, as she had her eyes shut, expecting the worst to happen. The atmosphere soon enough phases back into its original shape and thus comes the moment of realization:
Palutena had dodged that kick, and now her leg is on fire.

CHARACTER MENU/ROSTER...
...
"Oh my GOSH! Did you see that Zelda?"
"What?… that?"
"Yes! That! She actually performed the Exploding Side Kick—!"
"And failed at it! Peach, she did more damage to herself than to Palutena."
"But at least she corresponded with Player's Direction!"
"Yeah, I guess. But even so, if they lose one more battle, they're going to play another game. That's what one of them said." Zelda concludes, "And I personally think that Alexis needs as much practice with a Player as she possibly can."
"I have to disagree, Zelda." A familiar voice intervened casually. Both of the princess shift their attention to Wii Fit Trainer (F), who watched Alexis intently as the human ran around the stage, crying and screaming, flailing her arms trying to put out the flame that ignited from her leg and sooner enough her whole body. The human dropped instantly and began rolling on the floor to finally put out the fires that burned her.
From what they see on the hologram, Zelda and Peach were equally embarrassed for her while some others began laughing, and some seemed almost intrigued.
"I think she should learn to perform that kick without making a complete idiot of herself before working with an actual Player, let alone being able to fight by herself." Wii Fit Trainer (F) told to the princesses, while tracking down Alexis' next moves. The human recovers enough to limp her way to her partner when Pit dashes for her and swings his blade at her from behind. He knocks her off course and yet again, she is tossed into yet another Danger Zone, only this time, she evaporates into thin air.
PLAYER 2: -1 STOCK (Alexis)
Zelda sucks in the air between her teeth, slightly anxious for the next straw that Alexis loses. Captain Falcon seems to be handling things fine so far, so he might be the one carrying their team to victory. But even still, it's not like everyone in the Character Menu Room can't hear the curses that Player 2 spat at Alexis.
"Holy ****, this character is so ****ing glitched up, the game lagged after the many attempts at pressing B! I quit!"
Everyone heard Player 2 criticize hastily, but it was true! Everyone in the Character Room could hear Player 2 rampantly pound at a particular button on the sacred instrument that is the Controller. They even heard the controller being thrown at the ground, the sound of it crashing against the floor had almost everyone startled.
"Samantha, quit it with the temper tantrums…"
That was the sound of Player 1, trying to console Player 2.
"Well, I'm sorry, but I hate this Character so much. She's impossible to control, her Special is beyond stupid, her design is really stupid and the mere sight of her makes me sick! I'm definitely not in the mood for playing this stupid game right now. Hurry it up and we'll play All Stars."
"Well, can we play it after you calm down?"
"Maybe. But I'm not touching that Character until Nintendo gives us an update and ****ing fixes this Character!"
"Yeah, but we're going to have to get her trophy sooner or later."
"Okay, then how would you like to play as her then?"
"…"
"That's what I thought."
"Fine, but can I finish as much as I can? Just sit back while Papa Falcon kicks ass and looks marvelous."
"Fine. But only because it's him."
The very decision of their argument initiated an equation in Zelda's mind. If the Central Hub were to send an Update for any Bug-Fixes, which would mean that the Update would wipe out Alexis from the Data and everything would be as it was meant to. This would all conclude into the result as sending the Human to the Central Hub itself, in which everyone 'dies' anyway. And as far as everyone knows, no one wants it to be that way. The Hylian bit her lip and glances at the Wii Fit Trainer, who glances back after studying Alexis. "So, what exactly do you think is the problem?"
"The fact that she is still human is a tremendous struggle for her to accomplish anything, as all of us know." The Wii Fit Trainer begins, "It might also have something to do with her MoveSet. I heard that it's been established, but what exactly does she have?"
"We adopted her MoveSet from the Mii Fighters, since she doesn't have an original MoveSet of her own." Zelda muses. "We picked out Exploding Side Kick for her Standard Special, which I'm beginning to regret given that her leg was really on fire. Master Hand told us that something from her world called 'physics' may affect her in battle."
"We should have listened to him…" Peach sighed moodily, especially guilty that she was the one that really persisted with the suggestion.
"Well, it's too late now, Peach, she's going to have to work with it anyway." The trainer waved her hand at the Toadstool Princess, "What other moves did you guys pick out for her?"
"Onslaught, Piston Punch and Foot Flurry." Zelda answered regretfully.
"... Those are very quickly paced attacks. Would she even be able to perform them by herself?"
"Well, given the circumstances, most likely not. But unfortunately it's too late to change any of that, isn't it?"
"Yes. She sounds like she wouldn't be a very appealing Character to play as."
"Not to mention that she doesn't look the part of appealing."
"Peach! Priorities!" Zelda snapped at her fellow princess, "We'll worry about her outfit after, if we honestly have to."
"Well, you did hear Player 2, didn't you?" Peach retaliated, "Apparently her entire appearance is a problem. I blame it on the outfit."
"Player 2 did say that." Wii Fit Trainer thoughtfully mused. "But how are we going to change her outfit, isn't that just a part of the model?"
"Hopefully, since we installed her Equipment and MoveSet from the Mii Fighters' selection, it would apply to the Costume as well." Zelda informed them, "But I don't think we've unlocked any yet."
"Then we'll have to stick with that suit for now then." Wii Fit Trainer turns her focus to the Hologram to further investigate the mysterious Human, whom was just defeated for the match, rather quickly. However, Wii Fit Trainer was impressed to see that she's stayed on the stage for as long as she did.
This may cue in for some potential.

REALITY...
...
It's been 15 minutes since Samantha had put down the controller and since watched her Character being beat up by the CPU. Something about different Characters thrashing one that doesn't belong there just feels righteous, but that doesn't make up for how bored she is right now. As for Jordan was in a state of the contrary. He certainly wasn't bored, but a tad spooked after seeing that one special of hers that nearly broke the game. What was that about? Was that one of those 'Creepy-Pasta' things that Karen and Samantha were talking about? Well, it certainly was creepy. It was hard for him to focus on fighting the other Characters when this Alexis was just idle and her image was acid into his soul.
Wording it like that almost made him seem overdramatic, but he couldn't describe any way else. Something made him squeamish the more he looked at her.
"Hey, Jordan?" Samantha muttered, breaking the uncomfortable silence between the two. Jordan glances over and she continued when their gazes met. "I'm sorry about my temper back there. I didn't mean to scare you."
"You didn't really scare me…" Jordan replied, eyes unmoved from the screen. "I've seen freakier, trust me."
"Yeah, I know. But you know what I hate more than these stupid clone characters are characters that weren't even finished." She tells him, "They've never really had this problem before, so this trumps Pichu on my list of the 'Worst Character Awards' in my book. At least Pichu was finished."
"Yeah, I guess."
"And at least Pichu came from a Nintendo Game that we've all heard about. This Alexis Character came from absolutely nowhere." As she continues, the mere thought of this Character hitches in her breath and picks up in pace. "And she can't be some from Japan-Exclusive videogame. I already googled it and nothing turned up."
"Did you now…?" Jordan's eyes shift over to her in a short glance.
"Yes. I know something is wrong, but I don't know what exactly, other than that this Character obviously doesn't belong in Smash. But there's something that goes farther than that and it's really starting to creep me out." And just to conclude she added: "I can't believe they couldn't just add Mewtwo to the Roster instead of this Freak-show. Instead they had to make a DLC out of him—"
"I don't know…" Karen intercepted from the blue. Samantha had forgotten Karen was even there, that's the longest record that her sister has been quiet for. That's quite the accomplishment since her highest record before were the occasional small pauses between sentences. The otaku continues, "I like Alexis-chan, and I'd choose her over that mutated overgrown baka fetus any day, desu."
"Are you talking about Mewtwo?" The aggravated older sister clenches her teeth. Even at what Karen said, Jordan couldn't help but pause his game to cast the weeaboo a stone cold scowl. No one insults a deserving veteran and lives.
"Hai!" Karen giggles obliviously, and continues as ignorantly as before. "Besides, isn't that baka from a baby show? Pokémon is lame, desu."
"Karen! Go to your room before I do something I'm going to regret." Samantha scowled at her sister, the threat was burning in her eyes. And as if it has happened before, Karen scurries out of the room in an instant. Samantha turns to Jordan with a sigh as he now looks back while his game was paused.
"Sorry you had to see that, Jordan. We always fight like this." She explains, "No matter how many times I tell her, she will always say the same thing about Pokémon."
"Why do you guys fight like this over Pokémon?" Jordan lifts an eyebrow at her, trying to decipher which of the sisters is the stranger one. Oddly enough, he can relate to what she's saying, given that his classmates look down on him for openly playing that game.
"You know, good question." Samantha shrugs in her confession, "Whatever. Just finish up and we'll play a PlayStation Game after. I'll wait for you in the living room." She exits through the door and waltzes up the stairs. Jordan glances back at the screen, resuming on with his battle against Yoshi, Olimar, Samus and Diddy Kong. Taking them all out flawlessly as Captain Falcon as the Player 2 Alexis just sat there creepily and fully idle, as if she was watching him.
It was almost as if her eyes were following Captain Falcon, and it made him want to throw his controller at the ground and call it quits. But the brave boy protested against his cowardice, since now that he had won that battle, it was only time to face Master Hand and Crazy Hand. He was at the end of the road and wanted to get Captain Falcon's Trophy, as well as Alexis' Trophy, which could lead into some more information about this… weird addition to the Roster.
Just this one battle and it will be all over.

"Captain Falcon. I don't think I can take much more of these beatings. I haven't been able to move for the last couple of rounds."
2…
"No time to be a quitter, kid. There will be a chance for you to spread your wings and soar someday."
1…
"Like a Falcon?"
"No! Like an eagle or something. Find your own bird!"
"…"
"That isn't a duck!"
GO!
And like before, both of them had posed for battle; one more capable of surviving than the other. But this hadn't surprised Alexis too much, she's kind of used to being knocked off of the stage enough to end both her turns. It's happened in every single match, and running out of Stocks wasn't such a bad thing. It just means that if she fell off of the stage twice, then she gets transported back to the big circular room where everyone else is until Captain Falcon is done fighting for the match, only to repeat the process after that. She feels more relieved when that happens, and even more so that the Player had left the Controller untouched so that she won't ever have to perform that Fiery Kick of Death for the time being.
Something told her that Peach was plotting her murder, but now that she's stuck with that move in a world where she can't technically die, she couldn't determine if this deathless reality was a good thing or a bad thing.
Not given the time to vote, her eyes catch Master Hand float onto the stage, but with another floating hand coming in from the opposite side of him, they reach over to pump fists before challenging the Players. Alexis didn't realize that he was the opponent, so she wasn't too afraid of Master Hand.
However, that thought of calmness flipped onto it's back when Master Hand (Or the other Hand. She couldn't tell the difference) conjured an orb of dark energy, tossed it into the air and volleyed the human, who shrieks in tremendous pain and her body was tossed to the other side of the stage where the other Hand came down and pummeled her as a fiery fist. She was hoping that it was going to throw her off the stage, but that would be asking for too much. Instead she was met by the other Hand that set itself on top of her and suffered a moment of an intense spasm, shuffling and scrambling her limp form around the stage. She wished to run off herself, but instead was forced to endure this. Captain Falcon seemed to be handling himself fine, on the contrary. But it seemed that even he couldn't knock the Hands off of the stage, though it didn't stop Alexis from holding her faith; at least he could hit them.
It was true bliss when one of the Hands came down and swiped itself across the stage. While Captain Falcon jumped up to avoid collision, Alexis was thrown off out of bounds. Not that this fate could have been avoided anyway, especially without a Player.
PLAYER 2: -1 STOCK (Alexis)
The very familiar platform delivers the human onto the stage for a second beating. But this time, quicker than ever. The moment when she reached the stage, after when the Start Time Invincibility had run its course one of the Hands manually tears through the fabric of the background. Again, Captain Falcon swerves his way out and Alexis is the fortunate victim with two stocks gone as she is permanently out of the match.
PLAYER 2 DEFEATED
...
...
The blinding light progresses to shine brightly through her line of vision as gravity itself sways her over to her desired rest.
Here she is again, in her seat between Yoshi and Pit. She lays back in her chair and smiles to herself knowing that the System is shutting down after this match. Whether Captain Falcon wins this round or not, everything will be tranquil for a time and there will be no fighting.
"Hi again, Alexis." Pit glanced at the girl before watching her partner take on the responsibility of taking on the Hands. "How hard did they kick your butt, champ?"
"Real hard." She replied with a tired sigh, watching the Captain looking absolutely marvelous. From what she had learned today is that though he may be a little light-minded, he certainly was tough. What she is seeing now is him handling two beastly Hands effortlessly; dodging the attack of one while landing hits on the other, and sometimes dodging and attacking both of them all at the same time!
He certainly is admirable from a distance… she thought to herself, a dumb smile crept on her face when the captain 'Falcon Punched' both of the hands at once (and supposedly killed one of them by the seems). Thinking back on what she said to herself, her smile drops into a frown… That sounded a lot creepier than I wanted it to be.
~That it did~suddenly replied Lucario, via telepathy. Taking her by surprise, Alexis jumped from her seat and stared at the Aura Pokémon like a deer at oncoming headlights, as color heated her cheeks.
Can people hear us right now!?
~No, these thoughts are channeled only between the two of us~
Okay, good. I can never really tell with you. She let out a sigh and bowed her head down. You know that I didn't mean anything by it, right? I just meant that he's tough. Not anything more.
~No, I understand~ Lucario nodded at the girl ~what I'm picking up from your aura is nothing romantic. And I agree that Captain Falcon is quite the fighter~
Yeah, plus. He's a little too old for me, you know.
~Yes. Rumor has it that he's been a Character since the first installment of the game. That's very old~
… Seems that we have different visions on that word, but that's fine. I'm just glad that I'm not the only one who thinks this.
~Well, some of the oldest veterans are the most admirable here~
Snapping them out of their conversation was the sound of Master Hand screaming. Glancing back at the screen was the Hand himself combusting into flames as Captain Falcon stood tall and fabulous, inspirational to the human eye.
~You know, Alexis, that your Standard Special is very similar to his own…~ Lucario transmitted a message to her, shifting in his seat.
What are you saying?
~I think it would be a great idea to get training from him, wouldn't you agree?~
That would be cool, but I don't think it would make a difference since my leg will combust anyway.
~Ah. But that's where you're wrong. Remember as you become more accustomed to our realm, you will grow more powerful, like the rest of us~
Okay. Great. But what does this have to do with the combustibility of my leg?
~What if I told you that his arm doesn't light on fire when he punches?~
Whaaat?
~But instead, lights his opponents on fire~
Whaaaaaaaaat?
~I think as you become more accustomed to the game, that Captain Falcon should be able to teach you to control that particular attack. Either him or Ganondorf, but Ganon deals darkness damage, not fire~
Who's Canon?
~That being another point. Since you have some chemistry going—
Ganon-dwarf?
~Captain Falcon would be an excellent example for you to live by—
Ganon-dork?
~His name is Ganondorf. Are you listening to me, Alexis?~
Sorry! Uh, yes! Getting training from Papa Falcon seems like a great idea!
~Papa Falcon?~
Yeah, don't ask. I don't even know.
~… Anyway, I'd highly advise it~
Well thank you for that bit of information, I'm going to try that right away.
~You might as well right now, you're turn is coming up right about now~
What!?
~Yeah, you're going to punch some Credits with him to earn some Gold~
Who's Credits!? I can't punch anything! My Player abandoned me, remember?
~Whether you get us anything or not, this is the perfect time to talk to him~
But, I—
Before she had a chance to think the rest of the way through, that damnable bright light transported her back with Captain Falcon in the Credit Roll.
...
...
Shutting her eyes tightly, Alexis awaits another beating the moment she was transported onto the other stage, with Captain Falcon, who glances back and flashes her a toothy grin.
"Yo!"
Alexis doesn't budge in the slightest. "There's no place like home. There's no place like home. There's no place like home." She hoarsely chants to herself.
"Kid."
"There's no place like home. There's no place like home. There's no place like home."
"FALCON PUNCH!"
And with the full force of his mighty fist, the momentum catapulted her far across the stage, and nearly off of the ledge. She felt the wicked burn settle in through her skin and related well to exactly what Lucario was talking about in the first place. The only thing that was stopping her was his sudden hostility, but still, he was her partner… "Captain! Why did you punch me!?" she gasped, slowly getting up on her own, but not being able to move anywhere else.
"Oh hey, kid. That was the Player's choice, not mine." He swiftly explained to her as rectangular tags with many different names sped by hovering, the Captain began moving quickly to hit as many of them as he could with the Player.
She couldn't really tell which Player really hated her more, but her bet is on Jordan, and it was her bet that Jordan was the one who demanded Captain Falcon to punch her in the face through the controller. Nevertheless, she had a mission. "I understand…" She nods at him, being as much as she can move at the moment, she was about to continue, until she caught glimpse of all the floating tags that he was hitting. It seemed wherever he hit a tag would reveal a part of an image, and at the pace he was going, the picture was a quarter finished. Finishing that by himself would exemplify great dexterity and speed, which was inspirational from a glance. "Where are we right now? Why is there no one here?" she couldn't help but ask, however upon realization, she panicked slightly "Are we fighting each other!?"
"Pfft! Not at all, kid!" Captain Falcon laughed boisterously as he easily painted the image behind him. At this point, the picture was halfway complete. "We're at the Credits for extra Gold. Though, I could hit you if I want—"
"Are you going to hit me!?"
"Hahahaha! Nah Kiddo, I'm just messing with ya!" This time the laughter was harder, as she had fell for his joke and the outcome was the speechless, rose-tinted expression on her face. "Remember? That would have to be the Player's choice!"
"I knew that!" she snapped, slightly embarrassed knowing that she didn't, even though he said the same thing only moments ago.
"Yeah, sure you did."
"Whatever." She whiffled, brushing off whatever feeling of shame she had before, tiding over for a new topic in regards to Lucario's suggestion. She peeks back at him, as he had been coming closer to complete the picture, which only inspired her more. "Anyway, I wanted to talk to about something, sir."
"Sir? How formal." The Captain chuckled to himself, "What's on your mind, kid?"
"Firstly, may I ask that you stop calling me 'kid'?" she requested as politely as she could, only to avoid being punched again.
"What's on your mind, sport?"
"… I was wondering if you'd train me." She began rather shyly, knowing now that the Captain had glared from the corner of his eye while unveiling the image with the tags.
"I'm sorry, did you just ask me to train you?" He almost sounded uncertain and somewhat baffled, going from tag to tag. "Kid, I might be marvelous, but I'm not a miracle worker!"
"What do you mean?" Alexis queries cautiously, anxious about the response. She already knows what the outcome is, but she wants to try anyway.
The picture had been finished, and the time had run out. It was a photo of Captain Falcon, a fiery blaze curling his fist and burning the atmosphere. Gazing upon the image behind him, Alexis was even more inspired than before. He steps down from his place, earning 100 G as the Results we displayed above, he turns to her. "Sorry, kid. I've got a hot date with a blue falcon. Maybe I'll catch ya later."
"But—!"
Everything begins to fade to white again in her line of vision, as she is being transported to the Character Menu to only admire him from a holographic screen for the next fight.

TO BE CONTINUED
Well, the ending isn't something that I want to personally brag about, but normally when I say I'm going to limit the amount of words I use, the more words over the limit I end up using. Before I had to crop this Chapter, it had over 13,000 words. I'm telling you people, I'm involuntarily breaking the rules, all the time.
So, other than the lameness displayed above, it's a very mysterious ending to a Chapter… But pending on the reader, you may find that this piece is blatantly obvious and predictable. I'm not saying anything about it, just in case you didn't figure it out, but other than that, there's going to be twists and that you hopefully won't see coming in the future of the story.
Did you notice that Marth spoke a lot more in this chapter? It's just me testing out my Google-Translate skills, but we all know how unreliable a translator is, so just in case I made him say something completely irrelevant and stupid in Japanese, I want someone to point that out. If you want to know what I made him say, I'll put it below for you guys.
For those of you who were confused, the whole conversation in Italics without quotations was between Lucario and Alexis, as the Pokémon uses telepathy to get messages across to people. I won't hold conversations like that often, but when I do, that's how I'll do them… unless that makes it impossible to follow along to, then let me know.
Remember that I am willing to ship some Smash Bros. by request. Requests are open until Chapter 10, so if you want to see someone get hooked up, let me know. So far I've got Peach and Marth, so as of now, Marth or Peach cannot be taken by anyone else.
On a general note, I'd like to hear what my readers are thinking when they're reading this story. Let me know in a comment: compliments and especially critiques are always welcome! Complaints should be discussed by PM, but not if they're flames. Senseless anger is disruptive in a demographic I wish to keep rather friendly.
Thank you for reading my story!
