Chapter 39: All be Safe.

Ally's eyes fluttered open, and she yawned. She lifted her head from Austin's chest, and she looked at him, to see his eyes were open, and burning a hole into her face. She jumped, startled.

"S-Sorry," She whispered, her face flushing a light pink shade. "I just wanted to be..." Ally didn't know what to say. Austin reached out, and he pulled her down onto him. Ally's face landed in the crook of his neck, and she inhaled his scent. He wrapped his arms around her.

"I'm sorry," He whispered. "I'm stupid..."

"No, your not stupid. You just don't think properly some times," She smirked against his neck, and she felt Austin's chest vibrate in a laugh. "We need to talk about it."

"I know-" The door flung open, cutting Austin off. They both sat up, and looked over at Wayne's pale looking face.

"Their gone!" He panted.

"Whose gone," Ally got off the bed, and walked over to him.

"Trish," He stood up straight. "Harriet," He paused swallowing the lump in the back of his throat. "Jaime..."

"What?"

"I've just got her back, and now she's gone. Harriet's gone to-"

"Are you ready to leave?" Lucas raced into the room, and Wayne nodded his head.

"I'll come with you!" Ally exclaimed, but Wayne shook his head.

"Ally, you can barely stand," Wayne said. "Just stay here," He kissed the side of her head, then left the room.

Ally turned around and looked at Austin. He was sitting up on his bed, and looking down at the floor. Ally limped over, and sat down next to him.

"A-Are we going to be okay?" Austin asked, uncertainty in his tone.

"We just need to talk first, and then we'll probably be okay," Ally whispered, and she looked at him.

"Probably?"

"Yeah...probably. Firstly, we need to go see our family."

...

"Get off!" Jaime kicked the man she was wrestling with, hard in the stomach, but he didn't budge.

"Stay still!" He snapped, and he tried to get the handcuff's on her, but she thrashed underneath him.

Harriet and Trish had been taken somewhere else, but Jaime wasn't sure where. She needed to find out, and save them. But this jackass was given her a hard time. She swung her leg in between his legs, and kicked him in his private's. He let out a howl, and she shoved him off her. Swiftly, she grabbed the handcuff's and put them on his right wrist, then connected it with the metal pipe on the wall.

"Hey! You stupid bitch!" He shouted, and Jaime rolled her eyes.

"Your opinion on me isn't going to make me let you go," She retorted, and got to her feet. "Right," Jaime tapped her finger against her chin, then saw a knife on the table. "Just what I need."

Jaime picked it up, then turned back to the man. His eyes were narrow, and a growl was erupting from his lips.

"Thanks for you kind hospitality," She remarked sarcastically. "Now, I'll be off."

Jaime left the room, and shut the door behind her. She stepped out into a dark corridor. The lights flickered on and off, and it reminded Jaime of a sinister horror movie, but she just simply shrugged her shoulders, and walked off.

She began to open every door she passed, but everyone she opened, there was nothing inside. No sign of anyone, or anything. Jaime rubbed the back of her neck, and she glanced at the door at the end of the hallway. She walked over, and turned the handle, but it was locked.

"Okay, every other door is unlocked...I'm guessing there's something inside, that someone doesn't want anyone to see," Jaime muttered to herself. "Okay..." Jaime took a few steps back, then she charged forward barging her shoulder into the door. It flew off it's hinges, and Jaime stumbled through. "See, I still got it-" Jaime paused, and stood up straight. She was greeted by the sight of a huge board.

A map was stuck to it. Red marker pen had been used to be create a route, but Jaime recognized all the places. It was everywhere they've been since they took off towards the farm. Around the map was polaroid picture's of everyone from their group. They'd all be taken at different times. There was one of Ally outside of the hospital at night, and Jaime realized it must have been the night that she killed Nina. There was one of Austin holding Nathan. There was so many pictures of all the kids.

Jaime stepped closer to the board, and she reached out and swiped one of them from the map. It was a photo of her and Gregory. It was when she had run off, and Gregory had followed her to the hill. They were both looking at each other and smiling. Jaime smiled to herself, and she stared down at it.

Her gaze drifted from the photograph, when she saw another picture of herself. It was of her and her dad. They were both standing outside the hospital. There arms crossed over their chest, making them look so alike. Jaime smiled and took that one down, and she pushed both of the photos into her back pocket.

"It must be the person's whose been leaving the markings," Jaime whispered to herself.

Clapping made her jump. She slowly turned around to see a woman leaning against the door frame. "Well done, you worked that out quick, sweetie."

Jaime tilted her head to the side, and narrowed her eyes at the woman. "Who are you?"

"What?" She tilted her head just like Jaime. "You don't recognize your own mother?"

...

"You promise?" Jess bounced up and down in front of Ally.

"I promise. I'll take you to the park tomorrow," Ally grinned, and Jess ran into her arms.

"I want to go to!" Nevil exclaimed.

"Me too!" Billy said, pushing Jess out the way, and smiling sweetly at Ally.

"I'll ask your dad Billy, but I'm sure he'll say yes," Billy's grin widened, and he hugged Ally. "Okay, you guys need to go to Tess now. I think Jasmine, and Daniel want to play with you three."

They all nodded, and took off running. Ally smiled, and got to her feet. She glanced at Austin who was sat on his hospital bed, with Nathan asleep on his chest. Ally's leg began to throb, so she pulled up one of the chairs, and sat next to Austin's bed.

Austin looked at her, then he sat up slowly. He hung his legs over the side, so he was facing Ally. Then he gently placed Nathan down on the bed next to him. He kissed the side of Nathan's head, then looked at Ally.

"Let's talk," Austin said, and Ally looked up from her lap.

"Why didn't you just tell me," Her voice was croaky, and he could already see tears forming in her eyes. "I'm not a horrible person. If you'd just sat me down, and explained it to me...I would've understood, but to find out the way I did...it really hurt."

Austin reached out and grabbed her hand. "I guess I could say I'm sorry, but I don't even think that would be enough. I am sorry though, I'm so so sorry...I love you so much, and the thought of losing you makes me feel like someone's stabbed me in my heart. I don't know why I didn't tell you...I guess I just forgot, but back before the world went to shit, Nina had just been a way to pass time...I-I never thought I'd ever meet somebody like you. I just thought I was going to die alone, and become more of a rotten bastard...but I met you, and I swear you just made everything in my life a million times better...I'm sorry I didn't tell you, I feel like a right dick for not telling you, and I hate that I've made you feel so much pain-"

Ally stood up from her chair, and stepped into the gap between his legs. She placed her hands on the sides of his neck, and gazed into his eyes.

"I've caused you pain as well. I know I've hurt you a lot of times, and you've forgiven me...I can't stay mad at you for long, not matter how much I wanted to hurt you, and make you feel what I feel, but then I remember that you felt the worse pain ever, when I stopped breathing after giving birth to Nathan, and I almost died...I-I blame myself for making you feel that way, and I guarantee that the pain I felt when I found out about Cassidy, and now Nina...it was nothing compared to what you went through...so, I forgive you."

Austin reached out and pulled her face to his. He crashed his lips against hers, and she melted against his body. She felt like she hadn't kissed him in years. She moaned against his mouth, and wrapped her arms around his neck. Austin bit down on her bottom lip, and she parted her lips, letting him slip his tongue into her mouth.

Austin wrapped his arms around her waist, and his hands fisted her shirt. Ally felt her stomach fluttering with butterflies, and she buried her fingers into his hair. Austin pulled away, but kept his mouth closer to hers.

"As much as I'm enjoying this...I don't think Nathan wants to be woken up," Austin said with a smirk, and Ally grinned at him.

...

"Your kidding, right?" Jaime said, and she stared at the woman, dumbfounded.

"I'm not lying, sweetie."

"Don't call me that, don't ever call me that!" Jaime snapped. "What have you done with my friends?"

"They're in this building, and I'll let them go," She replied, crossing her arms.

"Why am I sensing a, but in that sentence?" Jaime responded, and she smiled.

"You're good," She laughed. "I'll let them go, but you need to stay here with me. After all we do have eighteen years to catch up on."

"You abandoned me!" Jaime shouted, losing her temper.

"Is that what Wayne told you, he really is useless-"

"Hey! Don't you dare think you can go and badmouth my dad while I'm standing here!? You left me! And the day you left, was the day that I stopped having a mom, so don't you even think for a second, I'm going to let you go around and call me your daughter!? You didn't want me, and now the tables have fuckin' turned, because I don't want you! Now, let my friends go!"

"Like I said. I will, but you've got to stay behind...if not, I'll kill them both. I think I might start with the older woman, Harriet?" Jaime flinched, and she smirked even more. "Does she mean something to you?" Jaime stared at her blankly. "Oh...Oh!" She began laughing. "Don't tell me...Wayne found someone new? Is Harriet your replacement for me?"

"Go to hell," Jaime grunted. "What do you really want?"

"I've been trying to find you for a while now, didn't you get my message's?"

"What are you on about?"

"All those markings on the tree's, did the letter J not give it away?" She smirked.

"I don't even know your name," Jaime said. "I never asked my dad, because I never wanted to know the name of the sick bitch who abandoned her baby!"

"Michelle, my name's Michelle," She replied, and Jaime folded her arms across her chest.

"Will you just let them go, and I'll stay here," Jaime stared her down, and she looked over her shoulder.

"Craig, come here now!" She snapped, and a few seconds later, a young man in his early twenties walked up behind her. "Let the two of them go."

"Okay," Craig glanced at Jaime, and flashed her a friendly smile. He disappeared soon after, and Jaime took a seat in the chair nearby.

...

"Come on ladies," The door opened, and Trish and Harriet got up off the floor. They hadn't needed to be handcuffed as they didn't fight back, but the same couldn't be said for Jaime. "You're free to go."

"Really?" Trish asked.

"Yeah, my leader got what she wanted. So, you two are free to go back to your family," Craig flashed them both a sad smile, and Harriet reached out and touched his arm.

"Are you okay?" Harriet asked.

"I'm fine," Craig replied. "I'm just tired."

"You don't look like you like it here," Trish pointed out.

"I don't, but I need somewhere to stay, and this place is better than having nowhere," Craig explained. "Now, I'll show you the way out."

Harriet and Trish followed him through the warehouse. Craig opened the door, and the light blinded their eyes for a few seconds. They both stepped outside, and breathed in the fresh air.

"Where's Jaime?" Harriet asked.

"She's agreed to stay here," Craig said. "That's what the woman in charge here, wanted."

"B-But, we can't leave here without her!" Harriet exclaimed.

"I assure you she's not in any danger," Craig sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.

"You do realize that our group are probably looking for us right now. They'll get her out of their no matter what, and her dad's the last person anyone wants fuck with," Trish explained, and Harriet nodded her head in agreement.

"Yeah, well her mom's not someone you want to mess with either."

"Mom?" They gaped at him, and he nodded his head.

"That doesn't matter," Harriet said. "Her mom abandoned her when she was born if that woman is hoping to smooth things over with Jaime, she has another thing coming, because I bet you've already seen how strong-willed Jaime is. She doesn't take crap from no one, she's not going to play happy families with her."

"I know," Craig muttered. "But, I don't care. I haven't slept in two days. I want to go to sleep."

"Can't you help her?" Trish asked. "You seem like a nice guy."

"I might be a nice guy, but if I help her, I lose my place here," He explained.

"You can come back and join our group," Harriet suggested. "You clearly aren't happy here."

"HEY!" What could only be described as a charging bull came flying passed Trish and Harriet, and tackled Craig to the floor.

"WAYNE!" Loud voices screamed, and the two of them turned around and saw Lucas, Dez, Ronny, Roxana, Kyle, Kira, Gregory, and Jack standing there.

"Wayne!" Harriet reached out and placed her hand on his shoulder.

"WHERE IS SHE!?" Wayne's voice boomed.

"Wayne! Jaime's fine!" Harriet pulled on his arm, and he looked at her. "Get off him. He let us go," Wayne got off of Craig, and Harriet hugged him.

"Are you okay?" Wayne asked, and he kissed the side of her head. Harriet pulled away, and smiled up at him.

"I'm fine. Jaime's inside, but Wayne...her mom's inside," Harriet took a step away from him, scared that he would explode.

"W-What?"

"Oh, so your Jaime's dad?" Craig got to his feet. "I guess you guys want an explanation," They all nodded their heads, and Craig explained everything about how Michelle had been tracking them, and leaving the markings on the trees, then he explained about how she kidnapped the three of them, but she had only wanted to take Jaime, but Harriet and Trish had been in the wrong place at the wrong time. "Jaime agreed that she'd stay with Michelle, so I was ordered to let the two of them go."

"Oh," Wayne said.

"Go inside and get her. I'm tired of this shit."

...

Ally sat on the blanket, and stared at the gate. The kids were running around playing games, and Austin was sat next to her, Nathan in his arms. Ally bit her bottom lip, and she burned a hole in the gate. She hoped they found the three of them.

"They'll find them, won't they?" Ally looked at Austin, and he nodded his head.

"Yeah, they will. Don't worry about it," Austin grabbed her hand, and squeezed it. She flashed him a smile, and moved closer to him. She reached out, and brushed her fingers against Nathan's cheek, and he gurgled in excitement.

"How long have they been gone?" Sarah asked, and Ally looked over her shoulder to see Sarah, Dean, Mary, Elliot, Frederick, Tess, Derek, Julie, Grace, Cal, and Alice standing there. Cal had his arm around Alice's shoulder, and she was snuggled firmly into his side. Julie was bouncing Lexi on her hip, and Lexi was shaking the rattle in her hands. Erica, was sleeping against Grace's chest, and Dean had his arm wrapped protectively around Sarah's stomach. The kids ran over, and Jasmine and Daniel ran straight to Tess and hugged her sides. Lizzy was holding George's hand, and they both stood by Julie and Lexi. Billy ran up to Derek, and he scooped him up into his arms. Jess crawled into Austin's lap, and he placed Nathan onto Jess's small lap. Nevil jumped onto Ally and snuggled into her side.

Then they all stayed there, and watched the gate, waiting for their family to come home.

"My mom's going to be okay, right?" Lizzy asked.

"Of course," Julie said, and she patted Lizzy's head. "They're all going to be okay."

They waited, and waited. Then a few minutes later, a crowd of people came out of the tree's. Everyone's faces lit up, and they all raced to the gate. Dean opened it up, and they all stood their with open arms. Lizzy raced over to Harriet and jumped into her arms, and Dez had his arm wrapped firmly around Trish's shoulders. Ally smiled when she glanced at Jaime, who was trying to get out of Gregory's hold, but Ally could see the happiness on her face. But then Ally's smile fell, as she glanced at the two unfamiliar people.

"Who are these two?" Ally asked, and everyone fell silent.

"Craig and Michelle," Lucas spoke up. "Craig helped them get out, and Michelle was the one who kidnapped them...and she's Jaime's mom."

"It's a pleasure to meet you," Michelle held out her hand towards her. Ally blinked, then glanced down at her hand. A laugh escaped Ally's lips, and it one swift movement she punched her in the face, sending her flying to the floor. "WHAT THE HELL!?" Michelle screeched.

"It's certainly not a pleasure of mine, to meet you," Ally growled, and she stepped over Michelle, and walked over to Jaime, and hugged her.

"I think we should all head inside the safety of the fence," Lucas ordered, and everyone stepped inside, then the gate was shut behind them. Ally felt someone's gaze burning into her, and she looked over her shoulder, and her eyes locked with Craig's. He was grinning at her, and took that as a sign to walk over to her, but Austin pulled her into his side, then growled at him.

Ally smirked, and they walked off together. Everything seemed to be working out at the moment. Everyone seemed to be finding their own happiness. All they had to do was get to the farm, and things would be fine. They could all be safe.
