I know I should have written since school started, but I'm already so busy. I can't believe we're in Fourth Year already. I mean, we've practically got to start studying for our OWLs. I mean, if I don't start studying for my Arithmancy OWL now, I won't pass it, I just know it. Lily could pass it now. She already knows everything there is to know about Arithmancy. They've already piled us with homework too, not that anyone but Lily and I seem to be completing it and handing it in. Well, Remus of course, but I don't know how he finds the time, between classes and being sick all the time and planning his stupid pranks with the Marauders. I never did understand why he became friends with them in the first place. I mean, Peter's great, but a bit careless and irresponsible. James is cocky and shallow, as well as being a rule-breaker, and Sirius is just kind of an idiot. Everything about the three of them screams BAD GROUP, but Remus, even though he's the opposite of every one of those things, chooses to hang out with them anyway. Lily and I were much better friends to have. Responsible and hard-working. Nice too. We don't play pranks on undeserving First Years. Poor kids couldn't get into their dorms last night, 'cause the Marauders had charmed hexes into the doorways.
