Day 3- Flowers

Marco was making his way back to the ship with a variety of flowers in hand. They are for his mate or at least boyfriend. They only started dating since Ace wanted to take things slow. Thankfully mating season is over. Marco is excited though earlier he had asked Thatch to make him and Ace a picnic that they would go on. He just had to get the raven to go, but that will be easy. Ace will take any chance to have fun. So all he has to do now is ask him.

As he was going down the hallway the door to Vista's room flew open hitting the blonde in the face.

"Oh! Marco my...What were those flowers for?" Vista asked eyeing the man warily, Marco usually wasn't romantic. He had to have some reason. Must be something to do with Ace.

Marco looked at the flowers then back at Vista then the flowers again. "I don't know maybe they were picked to be crushed!" The blonde stormed off on his path to his and Ace's room leaving Vista behind. The swordsman only shook his head. Whatever those flowers were for defiantly had something to do with Ace. After all the pyromaniac was the only one who could cause Marco to have such a mood swing.

Ace was sitting on the bed when Marco came bustling through the door.

"Ace are you busy?" The blond asked staring at the knife Ace currently held in his hands with the sharpener in the other.

"No, just finished sharpening my knife." Ace held the blade up beaming proud at the job he did.

"Good, come with me." Marco grabbed Ace by the hand and began his way to the kitchen. When they arrived he stopped and pulled out a blind fold. Ace looked at it warily.

"What is that for?"

"So you don't ruin your surprise." Marco replied Cryptically moving behind the Raven to tie it around his eyes. "Now stand still." Marco commanded using what Ace describe as his sexy commander voice.

The raven obeyed. He waited as Marco's footsteps disappeared then returned leading him onto deck.

"Thanks for waiting...You don't find if I fly us somewhere do you?" Marco was asking not because he is scared Ace would fall off his back. He is asking because the sensation of flying is heightened when some one is blind folded. He remembers the time Thatch was blind folded as they flew to his surprise party. That was not fun.

"It won't bother me. I trust you. Just help me get onto your back." Ace said and soon he felt cool fire lick his skin he knew Marco had transformed. It took quit awhile for them to maneuver Ace on his back, but once the fire user was settled and holding onto his flaming blue counterpart they took off into the night sky.

The flight was a short one, but when they landed Ace could smell the sweet aroma of flowers. Soon the blind fold was removed from his face and the sight was beautiful.

The first thing he saw was the waterfall leading into a crystal clear pool of water. Hanging from the side of the water were the mist settled was a tangled array of ivy and wisteria. The pool of water was outlined in in smooth rocks with little sparks of grass sprouting between them. The area was enclosed by mimosa and outlined in Hydrangea. The ground was a beautiful dark green and each blade of grass was ruffled by the wind.

"Marco this place is beautiful! We should have brought a picnic!" Ace exclaimed as he ran around looking at all the different flora. Ignoring the basket in Marco's hand.

"I know that is why I brought you and the picnic basket." The blonde replied holding the basket up by his head. In turn the raven blushed a dark crimson red. " Let's set it up." The blonde chuckled out.

They set up the picnic in a comfortable calm silence. "Ace we have been dating a long time and there is something I have been meaning to ask." Ace continued to star at him in blissful wonder almost like a puppy. In the reality of it Marco was afraid of his next action, but this place was the perfect place to ask him. With that thought Marco rose to his feet bring Ace with him.

"Marco just ask." Ace was filled with wonder at what his partner was doing. Marco only chewed his lip when he was nervous, and the only time Ac e had ever seen the man nervous was when he asked him out officially, the first time didn't really count much because it was asked in the height of his mating cycle. The second time when Marco asked he had brought Ace a a bouquet of blue and red roses it was one of the happiest days of Ace's life.

Marco bent down on one knee and pulled a small navy blue velvet box from his pocket,

"Will you marry me?" The blond asked as he opened the box for the raven to see. Ace didn't look at the ring though he looked at Marco.

"Yes." When he said that Marco stood straight up grabbed Ace and pulled Ace into a passionate kiss, then slipped back slipping the ring on his finger.

"I love you." Ace said tightening his embrace on Marco.

"I love you too." Marco said pulling Ace into a kiss.

The ring, it was like the two of them. Red roses made one half of the band while blue roses made the other half. The same as Marco and Ace was the other half of each other.
