[Izaya's POV]
"So, you're saying that the person who attacked you is only a teenager?" Shinra asked again, still unconvinced. Izaya couldn't blame him but he just rolled his eyes one more time before nodding and crossing his arms.
"Yes, and from what I pulled up this kid likes any kind of mayhem you can find. That grenade he threw at us? He's already planted a couple more fake ones around Raira and the community in the last few months. No one called the cops on him because they thought it was just a stupid prank and that they could suspend him to fix it." the informant explained slowly, more in depth this time than before, and looked around to see if anyone else was still confused.
Despite still looking surprised, no one seemed to be and Shizuo actually seemed curious now. "So, what? Was it really just a prank?" the blond asked, hand reaching for another cigarette before he grasped air, the poor idiot having run out of his cancer sticks on the way back to Shinra's earlier.
"I doubt it. He calls himself an anarchist like it's a good thing and if anything else he's done says anything, now that he found someone to torment he'll probably keep it up until something interesting happens or move on to someone more influential in general. He might be able to, too. There's no records of him or his parents buying any of the stuff he's used to scare people so I bet he even steals it himself or has another person get it for him." Izaya went on, glancing at the papers in his hands and reading through a couple comments made by his peers. "Hates authority, most older people in general, is always acting weird and smiling to himself-"
"So it's another you." Shizuo interrupted, getting a harsh glare in his direction.
"Anyway, despite being odd he has straight A's and is always messing with things, which is probably how he rigged the toys to actually go off and how he could set something up besides an actual grenade launcher to get it where he needed it to be. Probably a potato gun or something stupid like that…" Izaya trailed off, once again losing himself in thought as he pondered what to do about this kid. There's no way I can just leave him be, he lives across the street and has a perfect shot at me for whenever he feels like causing a problem. I have enough problems as it is.. And if he somehow gets his hands on anything more lethal than smoke then we could have an even worse problem. Izaya trailed off in thought, almost sighing at the fact that he couldn't handle this kid like how he would have before he met Kasuka.
It would be fun to see if he still had the manipulation skills to bring someone to their own death even though it wasn't as appealing as before and probably wouldn't make him the happiest he could be about now; why stray too far from habit anyways? The only problem was that this kid might react differently to the threats and bad comments made by the community than others would. He could find them appealing, pleasurable even, and cause more havoc to get attention. Irritating..
"First things first, we need to think of a plan. And if we can't do anything in the next couple hours then I need to stay over at Kasuka's - is that alright?" Izaya asked his boyfriend, glancing at him and getting an instant nod.
"It's not like I'd let you go back home now anyway, especially alone.." Kasuka agreed with a small chuckle, making Izaya happy in turn to see him over his previously crippling worry. Frowns and tears just didn't suit his boyfriend, so he really wished things would stop happening to cause them. "So, do we have any ideas? We know where he lives, obviously, and his name and how old he is and where he goes to school. What can we do about him?" the actor continued, glancing around to see everyone thinking. To Izaya's surprise, Namie was the first one to speak up.
"He goes to your old school, right? So why don't you guys head over there near the end of the school day tomorrow and threaten him? He's a kid and you two are the most powerful people around - even if he's stupid enough to throw a grenade at you, he probably isn't comfortable with being in a real fight. That's the whole point of long-range weapons." the brunette assistant reasoned, glancing between Izaya and Shizuo as she did so.
The informant had to admit, when Namie wanted to be helpful she really could be. Just like Kasuka. Either way, did they really want to go out and confront him head on in so little time after the attack? Sooner would probably be better than later.. If we're quiet too long then he might know that we're planning something instead of hiding out and actually keep himself handy. We don't want another psycho with a gun anywhere near us… Yeah, tomorrow or the next day and we should have this handled.
"Namie's right." Never thought I'd say that out loud. "Tomorrow we'll go out to Raira and catch him getting out of the school. We'll threaten him and see what happens; if he doesn't agree to stop all this then.. Well, we can figure something out." Izaya decided, getting a nod from everyone. After that was agreed upon everyone split up, Namie and Shizuo heading home as well as Kasuka and Izaya; Celty and Shinra promised to keep in contact with them just in case they needed help with something.
Izaya reached out and held his boyfriend's hand on the way back to the actor's home, a small smile on his face. I guess everything will be semi-normal again by tomorrow.. Can't wait for it.
Chapter 93!
Yeah, I know... I made you guys wait like 4 days and this is all I have to show for it.
Honestly, I'm kinda disappointed in myself.. But, I do feel better and not as guilty now that this is up.
At first I had stayed at my g-ma's for 2 days instead of one, then the next day I was tired from testing and now... Well, the writer's block is still being wish-washy and bothering me.
I'm sorry I couldn't get out a better or longer chapter than this out to you guys but I wanted to give you all something before you gave up on me.
I haven't actually checked the stats on this story recently, you might have given up already.
Either way, this time I'm going to give you a warning and say that tomorrow there most likely won't be a chapter getting put up because my friends and I wanted to celebrate testing being over. It's a pretty big thing since this test was as close to a college exam as we've ever been and it was really stressful.
I hope you all understand and are still looking forward to the up-coming chapters.
PS. Beato: I hope you're still doing alright and are feeling at least a bit better after all the allergies and possible sicknesses going around. Miss ya ^^
I hope you all liked this awful, pathetic chapter. Favorite, follow and PLEASE REVIEW to see more!
