Chapter 7
Link tried to find the maimai, he really did, but sometimes he got bored with something really quick, in this case, searching for maimais,
"Ugh," he groaned "Can we do something else? I am BORED outta my mind."
Hilda grinned. "Finally, I've been bored for like forever now."
"Sorry," he said with a sincere apologetic expression
She shook her head. "Don't worry about it. I was just waiting for you to finish up what you were doing,"
Link looked around for a moment thinking of a place to just sit. He just decided to plop himself down on the ground. He looked up to the sky above until Hilda came over and sat next to him. He looked into her red eyes, Man she's beautiful he thought. Focus, He told himself you cannot get distracted! She slightly smiled at Link, then she dropped her gaze and look up at the sky.
Link still stared at her he wished he could just stop this stupid quest and just run away with her. Then a thought occurred to him. Why can't we run away together? Link shook his head No, she wouldn't allow it. Her kingdom was in peril. He could just tell. He was about to tell her his idea when Hilda did something surprising, she laid her head on his shoulder, a tear was running down her face. "Hey what's wrong?" he asked.
She lifted her head, "I just wish I could stay here and let nothing happen. Just have time freeze,"
He nodded. "I understand that feeling,"
"a-and I need to confess something" she choked on her words.
"What is it?" Link asked.
Hilda shook her head "It's too horrible"
Link grabbed her hand to try to reassure her. "Hilda, tell me"
She sighed "Ok, I warned you"
Link raised his eyebrow.
"You see, my kingdom, Lorule, has more in common with your kingdom than you truly think, you see my kingdom also has a Triforce, or at least had"
Link stopped her "whoa had?"
She nodded grimly, "Had. A-and after I found out about your kingdom, and how it had a Triforce, I thought that I had to have it,"
Link's anger started to rise. "So you thought you'd steal it?"
Hilda nodded again. "Yes, and I thought it would be easy, Yuga would have the Triforce of Power, Zelda has wisdom, and after freeing the sages, you'd have-"
"Courage" Link cut in.
Hilda nodded. "And it would be really easy,"
"To fool me?! To get me to easily give you the Trifrorce of Courage?" Link's anger still rising.
Hilda had tears running down her face more, "y-yes"
"I cannot believe that-"
Hilda didn't let him finish "But there was something I didn't account for Link"
"And what's that?" still angry.
"Me falling in love" Hilda blushed a bit.
Link's face turned from anger to curiosity to realization of what she just said. He blushed.
"Y-you what?"
"F-falling in love" she repeated
Link looked around then pointed to himself. "With me?"
Hilda chuckled and rolled her eyes "No with yuga!"
"Hey!" Link said. "Not funny!"
Hilda giggled her face red and tears still escaping and running down her face. "Fine, yes you, you dope"
Link smiled. Then it faded. "Well wait, could you see me while I was in my kingdom or when I just entered yours?"
"Just when you entered mine, I'm not that powerful"
"So assuming it was through a crystal ball, also assuming that Yuga is standing in front of it waiting for us to come back through, hopefully he won't see me when I do this." He looked up at the sky as if looking at the goddesses in the sky.
Hilda was now confused "See you do wh-" she was cut off by Link kissing her gently. Her eyes widened, H-he's kissing me! Does that he does like me back?
When Link pulled back he was blushing, "S-sorry," he said. "That was very unlike me to do"
Hilda shook her head. "It's ok, really" she was blushing too. "Just," she didn't finish "nevermind" she shook her head.
Link then realized that they forgot to do something they agreed to do, he stood up"Come on, we forgot to go get some milk" he reached down and she grabbed his hand linking their arms after she was pulled up.
"Let's go" she smiled slightly.
Link smiled. "Okay"
They walked off to the milk bar.
...
As soon as they walked in faces turned towards their direction, and Link knew they immediately thought that they were together, Link moved his arm away and moved to the counter, when he approached the counter, the bartender grinned, "Two?"
Link blushed then mumbled "Yeah"
He chuckled "Coming right up!"
As he was grabbing the glasses he called over his shoulder. "So how'd you land a little lady like that?"
Link blushed, "We're just friends"
"Uh-huh, but she looks like loyalty, she from the next over kindom?"
"Kinda, it's a long story, a REALLY long story"
He nodded, "Got it," he poured the milk into the glasses, then handed it to Link, "There ya go bud"
"Thanks" Link took them,
"And good luck," he winked.
"What do you mean? Good luck with what?" Link asked.
The bar teneder just laughed, "Oh nothing,"
Link raised an eyebrow but said nothing, He just turned around and sat at the table that Hidla was sitting at,
"What was that about?" she asked.
"Oh nothing," Link said handing her the glass of milk.
"Uh-huh" she said. Rasing an eyebrow.
"What you don't believe me?"
"Nope" Hilda laughed.
"Great" Link said sarcastically, Just great.
I know it's a bit of an unusual chapter but hey when you got writers block what can you do right? I hope you enjoyed, oh and before I sign of this chapter, I recently finished the Percy Jackson and the Olympian series again, and I may be doing a bit of a fan faction for that VERY soon, I'll explain more about it when it comes out,
