On the night that Pitch celebrated, what he thought would be, his victory he missed a single light on the other side of the globe he stood on, a light that would never dim no matter what for the one, a girl in her late teens, that it belonged to had spent time in the Spirit world as a worker in a bath house.
The child's name was Chihiro Ogino and her belief was the strongest any spirit in the mortal realm witnessed and vowed to protect her from Pitch when he raged battle with the Guardians, the strongest spirits in the mortal realm.
After the battle was over and the Guardians had won, Jamie emailed his 'pen pal', who lived in Japan, and told her all about what happened, especially about Jack Frost. The reply he got caused him to become excited, as he knew her age.
Over in Japan Chihiro smiled fondly as she remembered her time spent in the Spirit world and had been eager to meet the spirits in the mortal realm, in hope that one of them would be able to pass along the letters she had written to her friends in the Spirit world.
Jack, who had seen her light while in Pitch's lair, was on his way to Japan, having made excuses to the other Guardians why he couldn't attend the victory dinner, and soon landed on Chihiro's window-sill of the apartment she lived in by herself. He tapped on the window to get her attention once she came into sight.
Chihiro's head jerked up as she heard a tap on her window and she saw a white haired teen outside her window, though she was on the tenth floor. She knew who he was, had since she returned from the Spirit world, and ran to the window to let him in. "It's good to see you again Jack." She absent mindedly said, her mind on other stuff, the minute he was inside.
Jack grinned as he chuckled at her absent mindedness. "It's good to see you too Chihiro, thinking about Haku again." He teased.
Chihiro became flustered at his teasing, her face went a light red as she blushed, and she sputtered. "N-no, of course not. Why would I be thinking about him?"
Jack broke into laughter and, once he stopped laughing, floated over to her. "Someone's in love, you want me to speak to MiM about making you a spirit so you can be with your river dragon."
"Don't you dare Jack, Haku will never forgive you if you do that... in fact he may hunt you down and kill you for a second time. Last time I saw him I suggested the same thing and he got upset with me. He made me promise I would never think about doing that ever again, he wants me to live."
"Okay, okay, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it anyway, I would never do that to you Chihiro." Jack held up his hands to show he meant no harm.
A smile traced her lips as she walked over to her desk for her newest letter to Haku. "Do you think you could deliver a letter to my river dragon for me?" She asked as she picked up the letter.
"Of course, you know I'm always willing to pass your letters along to the spirit world." Jack took the letter from her then flew to the window. "Oh before I forget, when I return from the Spirit World I will come for you and take you The Pole, North's home, so the other Guardians can meet you."
"What do you mean, other Guardians?" Chihiro started but stopped as it dawned on her Jack's meaning. "You were made a Guardian, weren't you?" She exclaimed.
Jack puffed out his chest, "You're looking at the Guardian of Fun. I was made one after our battle with Pitch, the Boogyman." He bragged.
"That's wonderful Jack, it's about time you were acknowledged for something you have done all along." Chihiro beamed. "I want you to tell me all about it when you get back from delivering that letter."
Jack smirked, saluted her and leaped out of the window, letting out a whoop as he spun in the air. Chihiro laughed as she watched him disappear into the clouds then closed her window to just a crack and went to bed.
I will be doing one more chapter for Frozen Star then after that I'll take requests concerning Jack and Nightlight doing brotherly stuff. I also came up with a different ide having to do with Jack and his memories but will keep it a secret until the one shot is written and posted. There will be a second part to this chapter and will put it up as soon as it is written.
