[Izaya's POV]

The two stood side by side in the elevator with no problems after Shizuo settled himself down from the taunting in the cab. Settling down being; he had picked up the informant by his shirt and shook him around a little. Izaya had just laughed his head off, of course, and announced that if he got a scratch, Kasuka would be by his side for the next week caring for him, effectively making Shizuo drop him to the ground ungraciously to prevent Kasuka from spending any more time with the 'flea' than necessary.

The ride up to Mairu and Kururi's floor was uneventful and almost surreal as Izaya and Shizuo got closer to his siblings, the informant's hands now occupying themselves in his pockets again now that he didn't have an angry debt collector to distract him.

What if they already opened the package just before the taxi got here? Or if they open it right when we're walking in the door? They could die, I could die, if mom is here then she could die… If we don't die, then we'd probably be severely hurt.. I don't even have an idea of how many grenades would be in that package! There could be one of them or fucking ten, for all we know… Why didn't I ask the brat before we ran off? he thought and rambled and asked to himself, irritation growing at the fact that this elevator was so slow that he could contemplate life in it. He tried to take a deep breath as they finally were just a couple floors down from his sisters. We ran off because we thought they were hurt. The amount of damage didn't matter at the moment… the informant continued to reason, even though the answer to his question didn't exactly help him at the moment. The pit in his stomach filled a little bit when the ding of the elevator finally came and the doors opened, allowing him to run down the hallway towards his sister's door without restraint. He was there within a minute - well, he expected he was; the informant nearly forgot what room number they were in - and began knocking on the door.

He didn't even have to knock twice before one little girl opened the door, allowing another little fireball to throw herself out the door and onto his midsection. Izaya fell backwards without much of a fight. When he opened his ruby eyes again, there were now two girls with him, one with glasses who had her arms wrapped around him on the floor, and the other standing above him with a slightly sorry smile before she dropped onto her knees and then onto them, effectively turning their reunion into a dog pile.

Izaya could care less by now if the blond was watching him; the informant threw his arms around the both of them and rolled them into a sitting position, pulling them both into his lap despite how much larger they were now after the few years apart. They're safe… They're both okay. he reassured himself, grip tightening on them both for a moment before Mairu spoke up.

"Bro, you're being weird. Like, weirder than we're used to." the spectacled twin announced, grin on her face.

Kururi nodded, crossing her arms across her chest. "Meriod.." she noted aloud, making Izaya ruffle her hair. He tried to pout or frown at them for the comments but just couldn't find it in himself at the moment to be upset. Their teasing just let him know further that they were in perfect health.

"I just missed you, you idiots. I can act like a good big brother every once in a while, ya know." the informant laughed, deciding to not let them know how worried he'd been for their safety. Back to the original reason they'd come, Izaya glanced back at Shizuo who was standing about a foot away, face neutral except for the small twitch his eye had caught. Suck it, protozoan. I can be a sweet big brother too~ he thought, smile turning into a slight smirk before it went away completely.

The informant glanced into the hotel room beside them to see the corner of a box poking out from one of the dressers, seemingly undisturbed. "Shizu-chan, the package." Izaya muttered, not demanding him to do anything but still getting the desired result as Shizuo worked passed them - a hard feat, seeing as they were almost completely blocking the entrance - before going inside to grab the box, picking it up carefully and coming back to move around them again. Once again, Izaya had to - grudgingly - give him credit for how well he handled literally carrying a bomb. We need to get those away from people, us included.. There's no place for us to just drop it off though.

Izaya's attention was taken away by his sisters before he could decide whether or not to order the brute away with it. "Iza-nii, who's this? Did you finally make a friend besides glasses guy!?" Mairu shouted, the comment making both the informant and debt collector tense where they were. Kururi seemed to notice their sudden discomfort but didn't let up. "Friend.. Best friend?" the more shy of the two prompted, looking away from her older brother to the 'stranger' close-by.

Of course they would just assume we're close... he mentally grumbled, a strained smile making its way onto his face before he thought of a reply. "No, no. Shinra is still my best friend, no competition. This is just Shizu-chan, my butler." the informant announced, looking behind him at the blond and having to physically hold in laughter as he saw the debt collector turn murderous once more. It was a miracle that the box in his hands wasn't instantly crushed. Even though he was still laughing, Izaya noticed his mistake. Guess I should have saved that one for a better time... Still, totally worth it.

Mairu and Kururi looked at each other before both smiling at Izaya, seeming to buy it or at least not question it. "That would explain his clothes then." Mairu responded, her sister nodding beside her.

"Fancy suit.."

"Wait! If he's your butler, then can he make ōtoro all by himself!?"

"Iza-nii's fave."

"And does he, like, do your laundry and stuff? And make you breakfast? Do you have a maid too!? Is she pretty!?"

Izaya couldn't keep a straight face as the two just kept going along with his lie, the debt collector behind him slowly getting more and more irritated though it didn't seem to be at the girls. The blond was patiently glaring at the back of Izaya's head, probably waiting for him to correct himself and his sister's before he was a dead man. I guess I can give him a break, he's carrying delicate cargo. the informant reasoned, composing himself enough to tap Mairu's cheek, quickly making her stop talking.

"I was just kidding, nee-chan. He's not my friend but he also doesn't work for me, sorry about that." Izaya explained, watching as both of them, mostly Mairu, seemed to deflate a little at the news. Kururi frowned lightly as she watched Shizuo from where she was.

"Not a butler?" she muttered, almost hopeful. Izaya watched as Shizuo's anger seemed to disappear, the blond glancing away from her.

"Nope, not a butler..."

"A secret agent?"

"No, not that either. Sorry, kid."

Kururi made a hum of acknowledgement before looking to Izaya again, still upset. Izaya frowned, glancing at his nemesis before looking to his little sister again. Mairu was giving him a death glare for not speaking up yet anyways. "But, uh, he is a body guard. That's kinda cool, right?" the informant offered, not knowing if it would help much. Kururi looked up again quickly and nodded, smile back on her face. She looked like she wanted to talk to Shizuo some more but Mairu stopped her, getting their attention again.

"Okay, so, you have your computer stuff back and your body guard is taking them home probably. Now that that's settled, I demand that you spend time with us!" the out-spoken twin demanded, Kururi nodding her support as Izaya glanced at the package in Shizuo's hands.

"I'd love to, guys, but I really have to-"

"Your computers can wait, Iza-nii!"

"Visiting for one week.."

"Yeah, and that one week is gonna be nothin' but us and you! Got it?"

Mairu and Kururi stared the informant down from their place in his lap, both expressions serious now as they watched him. Knowing them, neither of them were going to back down from their request either unless he gave in or they got a thorough explanation. Shiki is going to kill me.. Quite literally kill me, and probably do something worse, but I haven't seen them in forever... And Kasuka is probably worried sick by now because I haven't texted him that the other kid is handled, which he technically isn't.. Izaya held in a sigh as he felt a small headache coming on from his awful luck. It's only 6:30, I can spare a few hours with them before working into the morning. That'll do just fine.

The ravenett looked over at his enemy and Shizuo glanced between him and his sister's before sighing, glaring at the package in his hands. "Yeah, I'll.. get this home for you. I guess. I'll let Shinra and the rest know what you're up to, too.. Uh... Bye." Shizuo announced awkwardly, turning away and heading down the hall towards the elevator again as Izaya finally stood up, taking his sisters with him before they shifted and began dragging him into their hotel room. Why is my life so fucked up?

Chapter 97!

And that's the everlasting question, Iza-chan..

The answer is, everyone likes fucking with you. Get used to it :P

So, after a long weekend of no posting, I have returned!

I mean, this is way later in the day than any sane would want to read at but I still got it out! That's an achievement!

Once again, I'm finding it hard to just sit down and start writing lately.

And it's not just this story either, I haven't been able to throw together a drabble of anything for a while now and I can't even RP comfortably at the moment.

I dunno what's up but I hope it stops soon, even with this block I do still really enjoy writing so this is irritating on a couple levels.

I'll see you guys in the next chapter and I'll try to get it up by tomorrow too.

I hope you all liked this chapter! Favorite, follow and review to see more!
