Well, here we are...the final chapter, I'm sorry its not very long, I couldn't really think of much to add, I so very much hoped that you enjoyed this story. I'm so very sorry that these last two chapters took so long, I'm sure my faithful readers of this Fic thought it was dead long ago. Well enjoy!
Final Chapter
The foursome stood in front of the giant slab engraved with ancient Hylian, well Lorulian, on the slab was a symbol of Lorule's Triforce. It looks just like Hyrule's, just….upside down. Also on the slab, a giant crack.
"Welcome to Lorule's Sacred Realm" Hilda said. Sadness evident in her voice. "A while back, Yuga discovered that there was a strange crack in this grim slate…" she said stepping forward. "Through it," she said her eyes tearing up as she turned around "We could sense that there was a world beyond ours…a place where the Triforce still existed…that's when we devised the scheme.." she started to cry.
Link stepped forward and put an arm around her. "But you alone can set it right," he said trying to comfort her. She nodded and wiped her tears.
"Please give me your bracelet Link." He handed her his bracelet and she placed it on the opposite hand of hers.
"Wait…." Zelda said. "Before we do this, Link" she turned to him. "Are you sure you're going to stay here? In this dra- ahem, dire kingdom?"
Link looked at a worried Hilda, "Yes. But first…Ravio."
"Yes Link?" turning to him. Link found it weird that this guy was his alternate self.
"I need you to take something with you"
"What's that?" he asked quizzically.
The Triforce of courage appeared in Link's hand. "I need you to take this to Hyrule's Sacred Realm, to make sure that the Triforce doesn't stay here."
He nodded then took it.
Hilda stood forward toward the slab, "I should be able to use the last of the bracelets power to send you both back to Hyrule." She closed her eyes as if in a prayer. The bracelets started glowing as Zelda stepped closer. Ravio took a few steps then turned around and took Link's hand shaking it.
"It's been a pleasure, my friend. I got to meet a real, live, genuine hero."
Link smiled. "You were one the whole time Ravio, you just didn't see it"
He smiled then stepped forward with Zelda. As the bracelets grew brighter two orbs shot out of the cracks and turned Zelda and Ravio in to paintings, they flew into the crack. Right after they did, the light dimmed, the crack now dark. As the land darkened around them Hilda's bracelets turned to nothingness.
Link stepped forward and took Hilda's hand. "It'll be ok…"
Just then the ground started shaking, "What's happening?" Link asked.
"It's an earthquake!" Hilda exclaimed.
Just then light burst out of the crack, sending some debris flying but the slab still mostly standing. Then more, then even more, until the slab exploded! Link and Hilda screamed out shielding their faces as best they could. As soon as the dust cleared they looked up at where the slab was. A shape was starting to form. As it took shape, it became to look like three upside down triangles. Hilda covered her mouth. "It couldn't be"
Link grinned "It is!" he exclaimed as the darkened triangles turned golden. Hilda started to sob, but for the first time in a while, not because of sadness. She fell and Link caught her in his. Light started to pierce from the clouds.
"Thank you princess Zelda" Hilda finally let out. "Oh thank you…"
Link helped her stand up. "And to you as well, Hero of Lorule…" he started.
"Thank you, Ravio!" Hilda smiled slightly
*Several Months Later*
Link and Hilda stopped on the bridge above the chasm that lead to nothingness. It was quite the hassle to build the bridges but well worth it. Lorule was starting to gain some life back, it was actually really pretty. Not pretty as Hyrule, but still pretty.
Link looked down into the chasm, "so far down."
Hilda took his hand. "Yeah…" she stared down with him for a moment. "How do you think Ravio and Zelda are doing?"
Link shrugged. "Not sure. Hopefully well."
"He's probably King over there"
Link looked at her. "Ya think?"
Hilda shrugged. "Dunno, I mean they're the alternates of us, and well WE like each other…"
Link nodded. Then turned "Hilda?"
"Yes?"
"C-can I be your King?" he stuttered out.
"What?"
"And you be my Queen?" he said quickly. "I mean clearly you don't have to if you don't want-" he was cut off by Hilda's lips meeting his.
She pulled back. "Yes, I'd love to"
Link blushed and smiled. "I'm so happy to hear. I thought you'd might refuse…"
Hilda looked at him curiously "Why?"
"Well" Link rubbed the back of his head. "We're like eighteen, kind of young for marriage"
Hilda smiled. "Oh well, we won't have kids for a few years how's that?"
Link laughed. "Deal" then he leaned in and kissed Hilda. After they both pulled back he put his arm around her and watched the sunset with Hilda, as his adventure was over and his life with Hilda was beginning.
THE END
Well as this fanfiction comes to a close I want to thank all of my readers for supporting me as I wrote. (Given most of them probably think this fic is dead). I'm sorry if this chapter is dissapointing I truly couldn't think of anything else but ending it and no longer prolonging the end. I hope you enjoy, I may write more fanfictions with this pairing in the future. (Probably two years shortest cause personal stuff) But until then this is Veyniac97 signing off!
