[Izaya's POV]
Izaya sighed as he dropped down onto his bed at the end of the day, content with just laying there in silence for a while while he relaxed his now-sore muscles.
He'd just spent a whole day with his sisters, something he had forgotten how to handle in the years he'd they'd been gone, and while it was the most fun he'd ever had with anyone besides his boyfriend, it was also incredibly tiring. At first it was fine, his sisters and himself had all gone to Namjatown, a recreation of elder Japan, and took in the scenery around them like they were actually part of that time period, speaking in a more formal tone to each other and acting like they were from noble families for a while before that became tiresome and they moved on to one of the events going on in a nearby Game Corner. Izaya wasn't exactly sure what it was all about, seeing as he was just barely getting into the gaming community, and couldn't even do so without assistance from Kasuka, but from what he understood, it was quite a bit like Pokemon.
His sisters had been given a device to hold for the day while they explored the rest of Sunshine 60 and when they held it up, if they got a hit, then the screen would show some kind of creature on it for them to battle or capture or identify, depending on what they saw and where they were in the building. It seemed pretty cool and it was a very good pass-time for them to look into whenever they weren't distracted by something else.
Needless to say, neither of his sisters won the little competition it held because, apparently, most of the rare creatures had been hiding away in the aquarium area of the building, and instead of pulling out their device like most others did, they were much more content to point and comment on the actually living creatures in the exhibits. They had even went into some kind of petting-zoo-esque area where you could pet a baby stingray (with all the dangerous bits removed, of course). Izaya still smiled to himself from his sisters' teasing about him being soft on cute things, not being able to help himself when offered to play with the little sea-creature.
After that, they had gone to listen to a musical performance that occurred on a different floor, they had another meal (which was forced to be a snack, since Izaya refused to buy them anything more than some candy and a donut each after their last meal), and the informant had even convinced his siblings to finally buy something for themselves, which turned out to be the actual game that inspired the event they had taken part in. Izaya didn't get one for himself, but he figured that one of his sisters would finish it within a month, at most, and if it turned out to be interesting then he could easily borrow it from them once they were moved into the city and settled in.
But now, he was finally home, in bed, content to sleep for probably a few years after all the excitement his sisters could conjure up for him.
However, he just couldn't stop himself from grabbing his cellphone instead, opening his eyes again when his phone buzzed, letting him know that he'd missed a few calls and texts while he'd been out. He was sure that on any of his other phones this number could have been doubled at least, but he would deal with that later; maybe after a nap, maybe tomorrow morning. Either way, he was only awake enough to check up on his boyfriend, smiling a little bit when Kazuka informed him that everything had gone well for the day and he was still perfectly clothed in all future agreements, at least under current conditions.
[Ya know, you're a lot more anal about being undressed than I thought you would be. You seem perfectly fine with it here.] the informant replied to him, smirking a little as he imagined the other ravenett's face while he read it. To his surprise, the reply was almost instant.
[Yeah well, getting money in exchange for it is a lot different than getting love. I'd much rather get the second only from you.] it read, making Izaya blush instead.
[You have such a way with words, ya know that?]
[Yeah, I do. But I'd much rather listen to you talk.]
Izaya couldn't help grinning wider at that, burying his face in his pillow for a moment. This guy is gonna be the death of me~ he decided, letting out a giggle into the pillow as well before typing his good night's sleep away.
Finallyyyyyyy! Chapter 112!
Alright, I know my absence has been way longer than intended (and definitely longer than I ever wanted it to be) but I'm back now. I'm currently in my senior year of highschool, which I started on the 5th of August, and things have been pretty hectic since that happened, leaving me with even less time to try and keep working on this. I know that still leaves at least a month of my time open for being considered lazy, and I don't disagree. For a whole month, even without proper distractions, I was completely unable to think of how to continue with this. I already had ideas, and I've thought of plenty more within the two months I was gone, but none of them seemed to connect with the point that I left off on, making it very hard to continue.
To fix this, I kind of glossed over Izaya's day with his sisters as a review instead of an experience, because if I kept on trying to go at the steady pace that I had been then there would be quite literally no way for me to pick this up again. I'm sorry for skipping over it, for those of you who wanted to see it more in depth, but I just couldn't do it - and I hope all of you agree that getting one sub-par update rather than no update is a better option.
I really want to pick this up again and get back to updating whenever I can, so I did what I could with this one and I apologize for taking so long then coming back with such a short chapter. (It doesn't seem so short now because of this long apology, but you guys deserve an explanation for me being gone so long.)
Now, this chapter won't be posted until maybe a week after I write, so that I have time to write more and get a little caught up again with future chapters. That gives me yet another week for you guys to think I'm probably dead or a vegetable now, but I think it will be better.
I know that I won't be updating as frequently as I used to, but I do plan on updating at every possible chance. I love all of my readers and I hope you aren't too upset with m. I hope you all have been doing well while I was gone too, if any of you have a chance, then just leave a review letting me know what's been going on. I'd love to make a few friends from this story, as I already have, and I truthfully just wish that everyone could be happy all the time. And if they can't, then I want to help by bringing you all this kind of entertainment.
Anyways. Thank you all for being patient with me, and again, I'm sorry for the wait.
I'm back now and hope that I will continue to make you all smile again.
And finally, like, favorite and review to see lots more for me! Your comments help me provide more for you all!
