Disclaimer: Do I own it or nah?
Rin never came back to class. A man came in to retrieve her bag, which confused me. I wonder if she's upset? I stirred my tea with a bit of a pout on my face. I thought we were suppose to be best friends and she won't even answer my phone calls.
"...chan, K-chan!" I blinked when I saw Mitsukuni directly in front of my face. I blushed a bit and backed away.
"Y-Yeah, what is it?" I asked.
"Well you've been spaced out the entire time so you got everyone worried." He said. I glanced over to the girls as they gave a concerned nod.
"You seem upset do you want to talk about it?" One the girls asked.
"Yes, it might make you feel better." Another said.
I shook my head trying my best to smile. "No, I'm not upset or anything. It's nothing for you all to worry about." I tried to bring out my inner Tamaki. "It just breaks my heart that I won't be able to see you all again until tomorrow." I brushed my hair from my face in an awkward motion and smiled. "Your all first years right so it's most likely I won't see you."
The girls blushed. "We promise to come tomorrow!"
I tilted my head. "That would be nice." I said giving them a fake smile. Of course in all, honesty it would be nice to talk to them. But I just wasn't feeling happy today. Soon the girls began to talk among themselves and I felt relieved. I didn't need them asking anymore questions. I haven't gotten any of my questions answered either. I sighed.
"K-chan?" I glanced over to Mitsukuni. "What-"
"Um, Kris I need to talk to you for a second." I looked up to see Kaoru standing there. I blinked. "It's important." We stared at each other for a moment longer, before I looked back at Mitsukuni.
"Uh, I'll be back in a sec." I said, standing to my feet. We walked to the back room and he closed the door. "So what's up?"
"You know that Rin isn't here, right?" He asked.
"Of course she is in my class after all. She didn't come back after our break." I raised my brow. "Why do you ask?"
He rubbed his neck. "Well..." As he told me what had happened between Hikaru and Rin I wasn't sure what to think. I didn't think that she would actually tell him.
"What made her confess now?" I asked.
"Ana." He said simply.
"Of course it was her." I said rolling my eyes. I thought for a moment. "Well Hikaru does look kind of depressed."
"He's not very good at masking his feelings." Kaoru said, though it seemed like he wanted to say something else but didn't.
"So what do we do now?" I asked.
He shrugged. "Honestly I have no idea."
"Me either." I sighed. "I guess I'll just try to talk to her after club today."
"Sounds like a plan." He agreed. "I'll talk to Hikaru too." We were both silent after that.
I shifted from one foot to the other. "Maybe we should, you know, leave now. There is enough problems as it is. Don't want anymore rumors."
He nodded slowly. "Agreed." He opened the door and I walked out first.
Suddenly Tamaki stood in front of us and I jumped. "What were you two do back there?"
"...talking?" I said though it sounded more like a question which wasn't good.
"Talking, hm? Then why do you have to do it in secret?" He said.
My mouth gaped open. I wasn't sure how to answer that. "W-Well...uh, you see..." I looked to Kaoru for help.
"Boss, why is it such a big deal?" He said.
"The big deal? The big deal, is that everyone has been so secretive lately and I don't like it!" He said. "I thought we were a family?" He pulled me to him and cried into my shoulder. I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, everyone has been kind of on edge." Haruhi said. She glanced to me as Tamaki continued to "cry". "Is everything alright?"
I sweat-dropped. "Yeah?" My voice cracked, that was always a key sign that I was lying. She narrowed her eyes.
"Your lying to me, aren't you?" She asked, though she already knew.
"No, no, of course not mom." I said, trying to push Tamaki off. "Let go!"
"You seem really irritated, K-chan." Mitsukuni said.
"No, I'm totally fine." I said. Why doesn't anybody look at Hikaru? He doesn't look totally fine, he looks upset!
"You look kind of upset." A random girl said. My eye twitched. Oh my god!
"Well it's because he's so emotional for our wedding." We turned to see Kagura walking in with a grinned placed on his lips.
I raised my brow. "Kagura? What are you doing here?"
He shrugged. "What, a guy can't come to see his favorite captain? Besides you of course, Mori sempai." He nodded to him and Mori returned the gesture.
Kyoya lifted his glasses. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but did you just say wedding?" I froze before internally groaning. No, he did not just do that here.
"Of course, you didn't know Kris and I are getting married?" He said as I gaped at him. "It took him some time but I think he's finally come around."
I pushed Tamaki off and he fell to the floor. "I never said yes!"
Kyoya raised his brow. "So he did propose to you?"
My face turned red. "Yes!...no, uh, it was just a joke!"
Kagura held a hand over his chest looking "hurt". "So my feelings are just a joke to you?" I felt like strangling him.
I dead-panned. "Yes, yes they are."
"How could you say that, Kris?" He moved toward me. "What about all the good times we've shared together? Remember that time at practice when you-"
"T-That was an accident!" I interrupted with a blush.
"But it still happened." He said.
"What happened?" Haruhi asked.
"Well its a fun story I was standing in the locker room and Kris-"
"Stop!" I yelled as my blush became worse. He saw this and began to laugh.
"K-chan." I turned to Mitsukuni, my face still red. "Your getting married?" He asked with crocodile tears the size of marbles coming down his face.
"What no-" I was suddenly interrupted by Kagura's arm going around my neck.
"Heck yeah we are. You can be the best man." This seemed to make his tears worse.
"Wahh! Takash!" He jumped on his taller cousin's shoulder. "K-chan, how could you!"
I groaned before looking at Kagura. "Why are you here?"
He continued to smile but the look in his eye changed as he glanced over at Hikaru. "I came to talk to him." I would have asked how he knew which of them was Hikaru, but the look on the gingers face made it evident.
Hikaru glanced at him. "And why is that?" There was an edge in his tone.
Kagura's smile became very flat. "If you come talk with me it will be clear."
He looked away from the taller boy. "Why should I?"
"Hm, I thought it would be this way. I've heard your pretty childish." Kagura grinned when he saw a reaction from the ginger.
"Fine let's talk then." He said.
"Follow me." He said as they walked out of he door.
The girls began to talk among themselves. "What do you think is going on?"
"Beats me."
"I'm curious too, I wonder what's going to happen." I glanced over Kaoru. Hopefully things wouldn't get out of hand, but knowing Kagura things wouldn't get too serious. Hopefully.
*Break*
Kagura and Hikaru walked down the hall in silence until they reach the stair-well. "Well I guess this is far enough." He said, turning around to the ginger.
"What, are you going to propose to me too?" Hikaru asked with a dead-pan.
"Oh definitely not." Kagura said continuing to grin. "No offense but your not my type. Sorry to kill your hopes."
"You didn't" He said in a flat tone.
The black haired boy smiled. "That's good to hear. Cause if I did that would make this conversation really awkward." He laughed.
Hikaru scuffed. "Will you quit that already. It's really starting to tick me off."
"What is?" Kagura said leaning against the wall. Though he seemed like he already knew.
"Smiling. All I ever see you do is smile no matter what and to be honest is very annoying."
"Well sorry to annoy you ginger." He said. Hikaru narrowed his eyes. "I suppose I should get straight to the point, right?"
"Yes, you should." Hikaru said.
"Mazaki, I'm sure that you know her." He said in a mocking tone. Hikaru said nothing. "What am I saying?" He hit himself in the forehead with a dopey smile. "Of course you do, I see you hang out with her all the time."
"What's your point?" Hikaru asked stiffening at Rin's name.
"Well..." He said leaning forward. "Being that you to are close I just wanted to let you know that I asked Mazaki to go out with me."
Hikaru frowned at this. "What does that have to do with me?"
"Well, I see that you two are close so I just wanted your permission." He said with smirk.
There was something that swelled up in Hikaru making him want to punch the boy right in his face. He held his hands close to himself. Hikaru looked away from the boy. "Whatever it has nothing to do with me. Do whatever you want."
"Man, it's lucky that you said that because I already ask her earlier." He said tilting his head. Hikaru turned to him quickly with a tightness in his chest. "I just wanted to tell you so there won't be an surprises later on."
"Later on?" Hikaru repeated.
"Oh, sadly enough Rin rejected me." He said continuing to smile, but there was something behind it. Somehow Hikaru felt relieved by this news and tried his best not to show it on his face.
"I'm sorry to hear that." He said.
"I bet you are." Kagura said. "Oh but there is hope my friend. After she rejected me I did ask her out on a date and she said yes. Isn't that great?" Hikaru gaped at him.
"Really?" He asked.
"Yeah." Kagura said grinning at Hikaru's expression.
"Well I'm happy for you." He forced out trying his best not to get angry.
"I'm glad you approve. You and Mazaki are friends, so I just wanted to let you know." He said walking over to the stairs. "Can you do me a favor and tell Kris bye? Thanks." He waved his hand without turning around.
Hikaru glared a hole in the boys back as he walked away.
*Kris POV*
Club soon came to an end and but I could tell you what happened. I was distracted by Hikaru when he came back into the room. He seemed even more irritated than he was before. Which made the brotherly love act a no go. It looked more forced then anything. So it was pretty much a fail. I didn't say much more to Kaoru because everyone wanted to know what we were talking about. I had to admit we had been pretty secretive as of late. But's not like I can just blab out everyone's business.
I hate high school.
Speaking of which. I felt like I rolled my eyes for the 13 trillionth time. "Come on Mitsukuni. He was just playing around about the marriage thing. He does that all the time. That's not even why he was here." The blond continued to pout. I was about to give up when he suddenly spoke.
"It's not that." He said crossing his arms in the most adorable way possible. Sometimes it's the cutest thing when he's mad at me. I shook my head. No, no I need to focus.
"Then what is it?" I asked. He was unbelievably childish sometimes. It's hard to believe that he could turn a 180 and well...act like a teenage boy. I tried to shake off my blush. He turned to me with his cheeks puffed out. Oh my god, it's adorable! I just want to hug him or something!...or something. No stop!
"What happened to you and him that made you so embarrassed you can't talk about it." He asked.
I froze. "Oh, well...uh..." I looked away with a blush. "Um, I don't think this is really..."
Crocodile tears came down his face. "Wah! K-chan did you cheat on me?!"
I sputtered. "What! No! This happened before we even started going out!"
"So you did do something with him!" He pouted.
"Mitsukuni he likes girls, and doesn't even know I'm a female." I explained. "He just teases me about marriage and stuff because he knows I get embarrassed easily. You know that."
"Yeah." He said still poking out his lip. Sometimes I really don't believe he's older than me.
I sighed before taking in a deep breath. "Will it make you feel better if I tell you what happened?"
He glanced over at me. "Really?"
I nodded. "Well, here it goes. It was last year, my second week at school. I wasn't really fitting in with the other guys in kendo. I mean they talked to me but I didn't really talk to them. So, one day after I finished changing back into my uniform and I bumped into Kagura" My face started to turn red.
Mitsukuni raised his brow. "What happened?"
"W-Well, we fell on the floor and he had just gotten out of the shower..." I trailed off. Mitsukuni gaped at me. "He had on a towel though! But everything got worse when Kagura started acting like, well, Kagura. It was completely embarrassing. He brings it up from time to time and it's just so, ugh!" I said in frustration.
"So that's what happened." Mitsukuni said slowly.
"Yeah." I said rubbing my neck. "Way before we started dating."
He was quiet for a moment before laying his head on the table. "I'm jealous." He stated.
I blinked. "Of what? Kagura?"
"Everyone gets to spend time with my K-chan except for me." He pouted. I blushed a bit at "my K-chan".
"What are you talking about? You hung out with me all last week, well I was bed ridden but still."
"It's not the same. Haru-chan was there the entire time." He said. The blond glanced up to me. Uh-oh, I think he's caught on to what I was doing. I gulped. "K-chan, you invited her on purpose didn't you?"
I glanced away from him and took a quick interest in the ceiling. "Well, uh..." I looked back down to see he was directly in front of my face.
He held an innocent expression. "Didn't you?"
I sighed. "Yes, I did."
"Why?" He asked. "You've been acting strange around me to. Why is that K-chan?"
I started to twist my hair between my fingers. "It's you." I mumbled.
He blinked. "It's me? You don't like me anymore?"
I realized how that sound. "No! No! Of course not, that's not it at all. I-It's just how you've been to me. Um, the way you...touch me...I don't know if I'm ready for any of that."
"Oh." He said simply.
"N-Not that it's bad or anything I just-"
"No I get it K-chan" He said with a flowery smile. "Oh! I have an idea! How about this, you tell me what you want to do and I want do anymore than you ask."
"I guess that's okay." I mumbled.
He smiled. "Yay!" I returned his smile. "Hey what do you say we go out this weekend?"
I blinked. "Um alright. Where?"
"Anywhere!" He said lifting his hands in the air.
I smiled at him. "Okay...I go 'anywhere' with you." He glanced to over at me with his flowery smile.
"...can I kiss you now?" I glanced around and saw that the other hosts had left. I nodded. He over in his chair and kissed me he backed away for only a moment. "Just tell me when to stop kay?"
I nodded but I wasn't sure that was going to be.
*Mori POV*
Mori stood outside waiting for his shorter cousin though he had no idea when he was coming. It was mostly that he and Kris were "talking". He didn't want to think about there personal business, he tried to bring his mind else where. He leaned up against the school wall looking at the other students leaving for home.
"Hey! Mori my main man!" He turned around to see Ana, Kris' younger and much louder sister. "Ha you see what I did there. All those m words I said."
"Hm." He said. Though he wouldn't say it out loud, he had to admit that Ana was a bit...hyper active? No, there was another word to explain her, but he didn't want to think badly of one of his friends relatives. Not that he disliked, at times she was highly entertaining. Though sometimes it was a bit much.
She walked over to him and leaned against the wall with him. He gave her a curious look but didn't give it much thought. He then noticed that her twin wasn't with her. Though they claimed to dislike each other and fight more then most. They were usually together at least when he saw them.
"Your probably wondering 'gee Ana, where is your sister because I am very interested in your lives' right?" She looked up at him with a playful smile.
Mori kept a stoic expression. Though he wondered how Kri's could be related to such an eccentric person. Then again she had her abnormal moments as well.
"Well since I know you care, I'll just tell I have no idea where she is." She explained. "Sometimes she doesn't come to karate practice and she gives no explanation at all! But today I saw her, with Kyoya and then they just left. You think there together?" Mori said nothing though he had never thought of Kyoya as the type to date, or relationships in general. "Yeah I don't know either."
He raised his brow in amusement. Was this girl really having a conversation with him while he said absolutely nothing?
"Ugh, I hate relationships but maybe I should just go out with someone so I won't be alone." She said. Mori glanced over at her. "What do you think?" He said nothing. "Yeah I agree, to troublesome."
Mori fought the urge to smile. This was beginning to be entertaining.
"Hey Mori you ever thought about getting a girlfriend?" She asked. This surprised him but he didn't show it on his face. He kept quiet and waited for her o continue their one-sided conversation. "No girlfriend? Then have you ever thought about getting a boyfrie-"
"No." He said immediately.
She turned to him and grinned. "So this is what it takes for you speak?" She laughed. He stared at her. "Relax man, I'm just joking. Hm, I need a nickname for you lets see...how about Minato. I'm in a Naruto mood today. Hm, you act more like Sasuke...but I like Minato more...hmmm, Minato it is!"
One day he would have to ask Kris what was wrong with her younger sibling.
Suddenly someone was walking up to them though he hadn't realized it until the last second. Ana was a strange and distracting girl.
"Ana I've been waiting for you." The girl said. She was short with long dark hair, pale skin and where all black. In all honesty, she looked rather creepy.
"Oh sorry Reiko...I was just talking to my friend here...Takashi Morinozuka." She pointed to the boy. "Mori, this is Reiko Kanazuki, she's like my host sister or something."
Reiko stared up at Mori and something glinted in her eyes. "It's a pleasure to meet you." She tuck out her hand with an expressionless face.
"Yeah, nice to meet you." He said. Her hands were small and abnormally cold.
"Yes, perhaps we will meet again." She said. Ana stared back and forth between the two.
"Well um, this was nice, real nice." Ana said clapping her hands together. "Mori maybe I'll see you tomorrow. Yeah bye." She pulled Reiko along to the car as Ana looked back at Mori. 'I'm trying to save you.' She mouthed. He raised his brow.
When they had walked out of hearing distance Reiko spoke. "So how do you know Mori?"
"He's one of my sisters friends." Ana said as they got into the car. She gave her a nervous look.
"He doesn't look like a highs school student." She said. Uh-oh she's asking questions.
"Um, he graduated last year...he's in college." Ana said.
"Oh." She said. "He seems nice. I like him."
Ana paled. "Your doomed Mori." At that moment said boy sneezed.
