"Do you guys ever go home?" Yuki asked, irritated. They spent the night at her place with Nick.
"Why go home when we can spend the day with our precious Yuki!" Tamaki exclaimed.
"I'm going to my parents' for New Year's." Nick announced. "I might not be back until tomorrow."
"That's okay. I'm going to my dad's tonight." Yuki assured.
"See you around, then." Nick said his farewells and then left.
"I'm going out and I'm not coming back for a while now. I'm running errands and going to dad's." Yuki told the members of the Host Club. To her surprise, they didn't protest. They followed her out. And then she got in her car and drove away. And the host club followed.
Yuki groaned when she stepped out of her car. She drove to the mall because she signed up to do a blood drive. And they followed her inside.
"You're going to donate blood?" Kaoru asked.
"No, I came to steal it." Yuki said sarcastically.
"Let's do it! Let's all donate blood with Yuki!" Tamaki declared. They all went inside to the room where it was being held. Except for Kyoya, who remained outside the room. Yuki stopped and turned around.
"Coming, four eyes?" Yuki asked teasingly.
"I'll wait out here." He stated firmly.
"C'mon. You'll save a life!" Yuki urged.
"You'll already save seven lives." Kyoya protested.
"But we can save eight. What, are you scared?" Yuki teased, grinning.
"I'm not scared."
"Then why won't you come?"
"Because I don't want to."
"C'mon! You wuss! There's nothing to be afraid of! I'll even hold your hand!" Yuki grabbed his hand and dragged him inside. All of the members of the former host club sat in the chairs. One by one, the needle was stuck into their arms and the blood was drawn.
Yuki released her hand from Kyoya's and the needle went into her arm. A volunteer came to insert the needle in Kyoya, but when the sterile needle came close to his exposed wrist, he jumped to his feet and then very quickly strolled out of the blood drive.
Yuki burst out laughing. "He almost ran out!" Once everyone finished donating the blood, they left.
"I didn't realize you were such a scaredy cat." Yuki teased Kyoya, who waited for them. "I can't believe the son of a zaibatsu owner specializing in hospitals has a phobia of needles."
"Phobias are irrational fears. This is not irrational. I just believe that everything was put into the body for a reason, and nothing should be taken out. The skin is our protection, and it should not break." Kyoya stated, glaring at Yuki. Yuki just smirked and then spotted the food court.
"You could've held my hand! Daddy is here for you, mommy!" Tamaki cried. Kyoya gave him a death glare, sending Tamaki to run and hide. He also sent one to Hikaru and Kaoru, making sure that they don't crack any jokes either. And Hikaru and Kaoru rushed to join Tamaki.
"Come, Haruhi! Run and hide before the evil lord gets you!" Tamaki reached out to where Haruhi was standing. But she was gone. Tamaki stopped and then looked around. "Haruhi?"
"And where did Yuki go?" Kaoru asked.
"They've been kidnapped!" Tamaki suddenly exclaimed. "Not my precious Haruhi! And not our daughter! Mom! We have to find them!"
"Not again!" The twins complained as they rushed into the stores searching for them with Hunny, Mori, and Tamaki. They were so worried. The last time they were kidnapped…
"Yuki!"
"Haruhi!"
"Haru-chan!"
"Yuki!"
"Haruhi!"
"Yuki-chan!"
"Shirayuki!"
What if it happens again? What if they can't be saved? What if it happens again? What if this time they're killed? What if they never see Haruhi and Yuki's smiles ever again? Tamaki was truly afraid, because he loved Haruhi. He didn't want to lose her because he was careless…
"You big idiots. They're in the food court." Kyoya announced, not bothering to look up form his phone. Everyone rushed to the food court entrance, and then spotted Yuki eating happily with the irritated-looking Haruhi.
"Haruhi! I was worried sick! I thought you have been kidnapped! You could've died!" Tamaki wailed as he gripped Haruhi's shoulders.
"I was dragged." Haruhi answered. Tamaki looked at Yuki. Yuki swallowed and grinned.
"What? I'm hungry."
"Next time, let us know!" The twins snapped.
"Sorry. But I took self defense when I moved here, so we won't get kidnapped." Yuki assured.
"I'm fine with it." Hunny was sitting with them at the table, eating cookie cake Yuki had gotten at a Mrs. Fields. Tamaki and the twins gave him a look.
"Don't you guys have plans for New Year's?" Yuki asked.
"We're spending it with you!"
"Of course." Yuki groaned.
"This is your house!?" They pulled up in the driveway and parked around the large fountain. The fountain was not running, for it was winter and it was filled with snow.
"Technically, no, since I have my own apartment, but I still keep some of my old stuff from high school here. Does it match up to your mansions?" Yuki asked. The mansion was huge. It was white and had statues and pillars on the outside. The front wasn't so spectacular because it was winter and the snow buried the gardens. "I'll show you around."
"Thanks, but I already had my 60 minute exercise for the day." Hikaru joked.
"Give your car keys to Matthew. He's the valet and we need to keep the driveway clear." Yuki ordered. She led them inside, revealing the grand foyer complete with a grand staircase. It was decorated old-fashioned, but it was appropriate and quite pretty. There was a humongous crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling.
"Welcome back, my lady." Matthew greeted at the door. He asked for everyone's car keys and they obliged. Matthew then left to move the cars into the guest garage.
"Ballroom. But this is where Hazuki throws the parties when dad's away." Yuki explained. It was very spacious and there was a big stage. Many lights hung from the ceiling. "She put in DJ equipment for those parties. It comes up with the flip of a switch."
"The Great Room."
"The Parlor."
"The Music Room. Tamaki, don't touch the piano!" Yuki suddenly snapped when Tamaki pressed a key.
"Why not? It's such a beautiful piano!" Tamaki complained. It was very old-fashioned looking, but refurnished beautifully.
"That piano is ancient. If anything happens to it, I'm dead." Yuki answered firmly.
"Atrium."
"This is the formal dining room."
"We want to see your room, Yuki!" Tamaki cried.
"Yeah, where is it, Yuki-chan?" Hunny asked, his eyes sparkling. Yuki shook her head.
"Off limits."
"Mommy! Make our daughter show us her room or else she'll be grounded!" Tamaki whined to Kyoya.
"Now, daddy, it's her house so her rules." Kyoya reminded. Tamaki went to his corner. Yuki smiled at Kyoya as a silent thank you. "But I might suggest you go over those rules with Hikaru and Kaoru." Kyoya said to Yuki, affixing his glasses.
Yuki looked around. Hikaru and Kaoru were gone. She cursed to herself and then rushed to the grand staircase. She ran up the stairs and towards her bedroom. The door was shut. She burst through her bedroom and looked around. They weren't in there.
"Nice room."
Yuki yelped in surprise and spun around. The evil twins entered and looked around, followed by Tamaki, Haruhi (who was dragged by Tamaki), Hunny, and Mori. Yuki's bedroom was quite plain. She had a large white bed with gold, red, and orange pillows and blankets. Her dressers were also white, mostly empty and had pictures of Yuki in high school on them. There were many stuffed animals on her bed and on her shelves. Her desk was clean and was in front of a big window where you could overlook the grounds. There was just a lamp and some small office supplies. There was some folders in the drawer, but no one bothered to go through them. And no one knew that there was several diaries in there was well. After she moved to America, Yuki was forced to keep a diary by her therapist. Yuki herself has forgotten that they were in there.
"It's not much." Yuki stated. She never had much personal belongings when she was little, and didn't have much more now. Except for stuffed animals. She loved stuffed animals.
"We didn't realize you were such a softie." Hikaru and Kaoru teased, squeezing a stuffed panda. Yuki scowled.
"They're so cute!" Hunny picked up a bunny and hugged it, laughing.
"Not as cute as Kuma-chan, though!" Tamaki boasted. Yuki smiled and rolled her eyes.
"I beg to differ, milord." Hikaru protested.
"Look at this bear." Kaoru pulled off the shelf a pink and white bear.
"It's softer."
"More colorful."
"And cuter."
"No way! Kuma-chan is the best! Kuma-chan is the softest! He's the cuddliest! He's the perfect snuggle-buddy!" Tamaki protested. Yuki and Haruhi groaned as they bickered.
"Do you think they would notice if we left?" Yuki asked. Haruhi shook her head.
"Where's Kyoya?" Haruhi questioned. It was a good question. Where was four eyes? It was his fault. He knew Hikaru and Kaoru were looking for her room and he knew how badly everyone wanted to see her room. So, he tricked her to lead them to her room. It really wasn't much, though. Maybe he expected that and decided to wait downstairs.
Yuki and Haruhi left them silently. They found Kyoya in a hallway, examining a painting. Yuki knew he was going to ask about the painting when they approached him, but she knew nothing about it. She didn't know a single title or name for any of the artwork in the mansion. And she certainly didn't want to look stupid anymore in front of Mr. Brainiac.
"Kyoya!" Yuki rushed up to him and decided to do move away from the subject. Haruhi quickly followed after her friend. "Do you want to check out the kitchen? We can all grab a snack!"
"Sure." Haruhi and Kyoya agreed. Yuki grabbed Kyoya's wrist and quickly lead him away to the kitchen. Haruhi followed behind, making sure she stayed behind them. She secretly enjoyed watching those two interact with each other. They acted as if they were still in high school. Haruhi wanted just as badly as Tamaki and the others for Yuki and Kyoya to get back together, but she strongly believes that she shouldn't meddle in their relationship.
Yuki happily showed them around the kitchen. It was obviously her favorite place. She certainly knew a lot, judging by the fact that she's describing lots of details. She did all this eating, too.
Kyoya and Haruhi seemed impressed. Yuki's family has a team of chefs. When Aoi Hoshizora was at home, he loved inviting people over. Since he is out, the team was absent from the kitchen. Everything seemed big. The pantry was huge and half-stocked. Perhaps the team was out buying more groceries. And the refrigerator was giant too, also half-stocked. Along one wall was a bunch of fancy stoves with many knobs.
"I'm going to make some smoothies. I know the big idiots are going to want something after they finish bickering." Yuki joked as she picked out fresh fruit and began slicing it on the cutting board.
"What are they arguing over this time?" Kyoya inquired.
"Well, it's Tamaki against the twins. Tamaki is claiming Kuma-chan is the best, and the twins think my stuffed animals are better. I'm pretty sure Hunny's going to get involved with Usa-chan." Yuki explained. Kyoya smiled, imagining the scene unfold. "So, what kind of smoothies do you guys want?"
"Actually, I need to use the restroom." Haruhi admitted. Yuki smiled.
"That's fine. Just go out the back doors here, make a right and go down the hall. At the end of the hall, turn left and it should be the first door on your right."
"Damn rich people..." Haruhi grumbled as she exited. But Haruhi wanted to run a little experiment and see what happens when Yuki and Kyoya are left alone. Yuki snorted at Haruhi's comment.
"So, your smoothie?"
"I don't care for sweet things." Kyoya reminded.
"I can put Tabasco sauce in it." Yuki suggested. Kyoya gave her a look. Yuki giggled. "C'mon. They're good." Yuki began to place the ingredients into the blender.
"No thank you." Kyoya politely decline, pushing his glasses up. "I'd like to talk to you about something." Yuki's heart stopped. She prayed it wasn't another intense talk like they've had previously and that could possibly damage their relationship and make things awkward. Oh, God. She does not want to be Kip.
"Okay, shoot." Yuki busied herself with placing the ingredients in the blender. She was grateful there was a counter separating them as they stood across from each other.
"I'm thinking about transferring here. To Harvard, I mean." He announced.
"What!?" Yuki cried as she accidentally turned on the blender before she fully had the lid on. The yogurt and milk splattered everywhere, prompting Yuki to yelp and immediately shut it off. However, there was a big mess, mostly on Yuki and Kyoya. "God, I'm so sorry!"
She rushed to get a damp dishcloth and started rubbing the smoothie ingredients off his shirt. Unfortunately, it was white. Kyoya seemed to dress in solid, simple colors, mostly blacks, whites, and grays.
"It was an accident." Kyoya sighed. Yuki worked quickly. She took off his glasses and rubbed the mess off with a paper towel. "You need to clean thee properly."
"I think dad might have a kit in his room. He wears glasses now." Yuki offered. "But I have to get this out before it really settles and makes a big stain."
"It's just a shirt. I have more." Kyoya assured.
"Nonsense. I refuse to let anything go to waste. It's a nice shirt. I can get this out." Yuki dabbed his shirt. "I'm really sorry..." Yuki murmured. As she dabbed, she started to slow down. It dawned on her how close she was to him. Their bodies were only centimeters apart. She could feel the warmth of his body. She wanted more than anything than to lean into him and close the distance.
Realizing this, Yuki backed away reluctantly. She couldn't think about that anymore. Time to move on.
"Um, I think Daichi might have a shirt you can borrow. You look like you're the same size." Yuki quickly suggested.
"That'd probably be best for now." Kyoya agreed.
"I'm really sorry. Once we get you out of that, I'll make some phone calls to get the stain out."
"Don't worry about the shirt." Kyoya urged. "I need my glasses cleaned, though. My vision is horrible without them."
"I'll lead the way." Yuki took his hand and led him to her older brother's bedroom. She loved her hand in his. It fit so perfectly. But this was probably inappropriate and this is not what she needs if she needs to move on. Ah, screw it.
"If you're thinking about Harvard, you should check it out in person. We have a basketball game after break. We dance during the halftime and I doubt sports interest you, but you can explore during the games and you can come back and watch my dance. Maybe I can give you a tour too..." Yuki offered as she decided on a shirt for Kyoya. Daichi has his own place, but he has some spare clothing here if he decides to stay the night for like work or something.
Peeking inside the room, the rest of the members of the former host club we're smiling, enjoying the pair talk with each other. The host club couldn't hear what they were saying, but they seemed to be enjoying each other's company.
Author: I'm sorry for not updating soon. You see, I want to do a thing, but I can't do the thing yet. So, unfortunately, I will be making a bunch of filler chapters. I thought I'd let you know, but I personally like using fillers to work on character and relationships. And I've been getting some requests, so I might give you guys a little taste of everything. But the chapters might be getting shorter and a little random, so I apologize. But I hope you enjoy the story~ Please review~ I enjoy reading what you think of my story!
