WARNING. SHITTY WRITING. NEED TIME TO GET BACK INTO THE GIST OF IT.

"I'm afraid I would fall for you," Len blurted out before slapping his hand against his mouth, eyes widening in horror. Well, fuck! Of all things I could've said, I came up with this bloody excuse? He lowered his head, hiding his eyes behind his long blonde fringe, too embarrassed to look up at Miku and see her reaction to the outrageous excuse he had just given.

"L-Len…? Are you joking with me or…" Miku trailed off, her eyes equally wide, completely stunned. She was perplexed. How had the mood changed from warm and cuddly to… this? Tense and quiet. And this sudden confession. They became friends just a while ago and it progressed to this so quickly? It was unbelievable and it sent a turmoil of emotions to her. It was too much to handle and she felt like she couldn't breathe.

She reached a delicate hand out and inched it towards Len's chin. His breath hitched when he saw it approaching. Not now. No fucking way. He didn't know what to do. How could he have been so dumb, so careless to say something as ridiculous as this. It was unbelievable. He, Kagamine Len, the biggest liar ever, had made the most shameful mistake ever. He was utterly disappointed in himself.

When her fingertips brushed against the skin of his chin, he sucked in a large breath, his heart thudding against his ribcage in panic. His brain raced to formulate a plan or anything to get him out of the shithole he had just dug himself into. Of course, his brain decided that it would be a perfect time to stop altogether. Slowly, she forced his chin upwards so that he was forced to look straight into her wide teal orbs. It was boring into him, imploring and searching for an answer. It seemed so deep, as if he would immediately drown in them if he took one wrong step. That's right. One wrong step and the façade he had tried to keep on for so long would be ruined.

"Len?" she whispered out his name again, leaning closer, trying desperately to press out a word from him. He broke their eye contact, refusing to look at her. Anywhere but her, please. It suddenly seemed as if the floor was the most interesting thing in the world, much more than the lady in front of him.

"Say something," she squeaked out. She was so confused and she hated that feeling. She wanted—no—needed to know what was going on. Was it true that he liked her or was he just playing a prank on her? It wasn't possible that she hadn't noticed all this time, right?

It was temporary shock that had driven her to press for answers but now she immediately shrank back, stumbling a little on her bottom. She repeatedly brushed her fingers through her hair, as if trying to sweep away all that she had heard. "U-um.. I…" Miku stood up so suddenly, she was momentarily blinded by dizziness. She laughed a little in disbelief, shaking her head now and then. "I think I have to leave now," she choked out, swiftly making a grab for her school bag. Len's hand shot out just then and he closed his slender fingers around hers before she could do anything. She gasped a little, staring at his hand, before turning her attention to him.

"Just… forget about what I said, okay?" he awkwardly coughed out, his eyes pleading. It was the only solution for now. He attempted to crack a smile but it came out as more of a quivering failed attempt. He tried to mentally transmit a message to her, begging, hoping she would just wipe it out of her memory and maybe he could just forget he had ever talked to her and search for a new girl to toy with. Maybe. But he was far too deep in his own trap now.

She looked at him for a while more, before sighing a little. "Okay," she replied, "It's better for the both of us." She shot him a small smile, obviously much better than the one Len had tried to do. Although she had said that, it hurt a little to think Len wanted her to forget about it. It was a joke after all, huh? Sure, it would be a large hassle for her, but it would make her feel better to think that someone liked her for her and not her body.

Upon hearing that, Len let out a long, loud breath he held for god knows how long. "Thanks," he muttered, squeezing her hand as though he could transmit his feelings of relief to her.

She had heard him let out that breath and she fidgeted uneasily. Was it so easy for him to let it go just like that? She shook her head again, refusing to ponder on the matter. "So… You can let me go now," she chuckled gesturing with her free hand to other one which was crushed under the mercy of Len's grip. He glanced down, cheeks warming at her teasing tone, before regaining his own composure. "Nah, don't wanna. It's warm. Besides I think I ought to carry your bag. Treat it as my apology for avoiding you, yeah?" he grinned sheepishly, pushing himself off the carpeted floor with one muscular arm. He bent back a little, releasing his tense muscles from the stiff position it had been in for the past hour. He groaned at the great satisfying sensation of his muscles getting stretched, smiling contentedly.

He walked over to his closet, pulling open its squeaky wooden doors and casually pulling a pair of drawstring shorts out of its dark wide depths. He threw it straight at the unsuspecting Miku, laughing briefly at her surprised reaction.

"You don't want old men to see you like this, do you?" he teased, gesturing to Miku's body. He definitely liked seeing her in his clothes—it was sexy but he disliked the thought of anyone else seeing her like that. It was a peculiar feeling, considering he never really cared if other guys had seen her naked, let alone fucked her like he so desired to do so.

Bending over to grab her school bag, he took one last secretive glance at Miku's slender, pale legs. He licked his lips suggestively. Oh well. He would get them eventually.

"See you tomorrow," Miku piped up, breaking the silence. She slightly pulled at her arm, trying to free her small hand from Len's grasp. It was pretty late and Mikuo would start worrying. And worrying equals to nagging, which she was sick and tired of.

The pulling only further enticed Len to squeeze her hand tighter, a boyish grin on his handsome face. "Okay," he simply replied, pulling Miku into a tight hug. She squealed, shocked at his sudden actions. Having no idea how to react, she simply let him squeeze the breath out of her, occasionally patting him on his back to assure him she didn't exactly… hate the feeling of being in his arms.

Taking that as a sign of reconciliation, he softly whispered in her ear. His hot breath caressed the tip of her ear and dotted her arms with goose bumps. She giggled at the ticklish sensation and squirmed in his hold. "Goodnight," he breathed out, placing a light kiss on her cheek before releasing her. He gave her a brief wave and disappeared into the night, not looking back even once.

That small gesture had brought back all the feelings that she had felt when he had confessed to her. She had so carefully tucked them away and that idiot just had to do that. Damn bastard.

Although she did promise not to dwell on it, she couldn't help it. She tossed and turned in her bed, finally decided to cover her head with her snuggly duvet. Geez, why did he have to fucking do that? That stupid cunt, she internally sighed. She shut her eyes, trying desperately to fall asleep so she didn't have to think about his stupid, meaningless confession or to deal with those annoying emotions that kept resurfacing. "Fuck!" she whispered-screamed, bolting upright. This was going to be long night.

Unbeknownst to her, Len was also up, pondering on his careless actions. He was so tired, especially after getting drenched in the heavy rain earlier, but his mind refused to let him go to sleep peacefully. Instead it replayed the events of her confrontation and various other scenarios in which he could have reacted to it. It was going to be a long night for him too.

A/N: Well, yeah. Haha. I tried. I still have a fuckload of homework and there's school tomorrow but oh well. Yeah, see you in the next chapter. In another month or so. I don't know. BLOODY EXAMS UGH. Wish me luck.
