The following morning, Hazuki was brutally punished for throwing a party. Yuki was too for ending up getting drunk (because of a certain pair of twins). But Yuki wasn't really that hungover, which she found surprising. Hazuki had called Yuki and said she had a horrible hangover and couldn't leave her apartment.
When Yuki showered, she screamed. She found a tattoo on her body. She has a freaking tattoo. On her hip was a rose tattooed on her. Yuki tried to wash it off, praying it was a fake or marker. It wouldn't come off. Yuki screamed.
"What the fuck happened last night?" Yuki wailed. To make matters worse, the water pressure was incredibly low.
When she finished her shower, she dressed herself and realized that not all of the shampoo and conditioner was washed out. What a great start to the day. Yuki decided to go drop by Haruhi's to get some answers. On the way there, her hair tie had snapped and broke.
"Fantastic." Yuki muttered.
"YUUUUKKIIIIII~!" Tamaki greeted when Yuki entered Haruhi's unlocked apartment. Everyone was there except Kyoya.
"Hi, Yuki-chan!" Hunny greeted cheerfully.
"What'd you do to your beautiful hair?" The twins asked. Yuki scowled.
"Damn water pressure." And then she snapped her head to Hikaru and Kaoru. "What the hell happened last night?" Yuki demanded.
"You and Hazuki sang a duet of 'The Way.'" Kaoru replied.
"And."
"And there was a hip-hop dance contest and you won." Hikaru added. Yuki scowled.
"And."
"You, Hikaru, and Hazuki got a little drunk." Kaoru said.
"AND."
"And that's it."
"Bullshit!" Yuki snapped. "What the fuck did you two do to me? I wake up and I have this on me!" Yuki pulled down the side of her pants to expose the rose on her hip.
"You got a tattoo?!" Haruhi exclaimed.
"Looks like it!"
"You're too young to do that to your body, Yuki! You didn't get your father's permission anyway! That's it, you're grounded!" Tamaki exclaimed at Yuki. Yuki rolled her eyes.
"It's really pretty, Yuki-chan!"
"That's not my point!" Yuki growled.
"Oh yeah. You and Hikaru got tattoos last night too." Kaoru said.
"Hika-chan got one too?" Hunny asked.
"Yeah." Hikaru exposed the back of his shoulder blade to reveal a star.
"But you're okay with that! I can't have a tattoo!" Yuki cried. "Why would you do that to me?!"
"We didn't do anything to you. It was your idea." The twins said in unison.
"Why didn't you stop me?" Yuki demanded.
"I was trying to take care of three drunk people. It got you two to behave anyway." Kaoru grumbled.
"You shouldn't have even gotten drunk, Yuki! You're too young! And now you got a tattoo! You're sooooo grounded!" As Tamaki and Yuki bickered, Kyoya entered the apartment. His hair and glasses were sprinkled with snow.
"Hi, Kyo-chan!" Hunny called.
"Hello." Kyoya returned.
"Did Karen get back safely from New York?" Haruhi asked.
"She did. Thank you for asking." Kyoya replied.
"Hey, you know." The twins cut in, silencing Yuki and Tamaki's bickering. "Yuki has crappy water pressure in her apartment. Her shower head is broken and anything and she needs to use someone's shower to get all that shampoo and conditioner out."
"She can-" Hikaru covered Hunny's mouth, cutting him off. Mori picked up Hunny and carried him away from the conversation.
"And we thought, who has the best shower ever?" The twins went on. "Kyoya does! All you let Yuki use your shower?" Yuki's jaw dropped.
"Why doesn't she use Haruhi's here?" Kyoya questioned.
"I have to replace my shower curtain." Haruhi answered.
"Listen, it's okay guys! I don't need-"
"You're more than welcome to use my shower. It was just a simple question." Kyoya cut her off.
"But I don't-"
"Is there a problem with my shower? Are you not used to using a high class, quality shower?" Kyoya asked with a smirk.
"I can use your damn shower! There is no problem! Lets to to your apartment right now!" Yuki snapped. Everyone else was trying to suppress their amusement. Kyoya was even trying to do it himself.
"I'll take you over in a sec. I need to use the bathroom." Kyoya then left the main room to Haruhi's bathroom. Yuki sighed, exhausted from bickering with everyone. They're going to be the death of her.
"Haruhi, do you have a spare hair tie? Mine broke on the way here." Yuki asked. Behind her back, Hikaru and Kaoru high fived each other.
"Yeah. I think I have some on my dresser. I'll be right back." Haruhi turned and then walked to her bedroom.
"You two!" Yuki spun to face the twins, who were eating bananas.
"What?"
"You know what I mean! Tamaki, help me out here!"
"I see no problem here. Everything's perfectly fine, my Yuki dearest." Tamaki said smoothly. Yuki glared.
"Hunny?"
"Everything's perfectly fine, Yuki-chan!" Hunny repeated as he ate a piece of cake.
"I found one." Haruhi called as she exited her bedroom. Yuki turned back around and smiled.
"Thanks!" Yuki and Haruhi walked towards each other, intending to meet halfway. However, because there just happened to be a banana peel on the ground, Yuki slipped on it. Yuki fell forward onto Haruhi, knocking them both on the ground. And because Yuki and Haruhi are just that lucky, Yuki's lips landed right on Haruhi's lips when Yuki fell on top of Haruhi.
There was silence. Immediately, Yuki's face turned scarlet. Haruhi's face flushed too. Yuki quickly sat up. If someone was to walk in on this picture, they would've gotten the wrong picture. Even the way Yuki fell on Haruhi was incredibly awkward. She was practically straddling her.
Yuki slowly rolled herself back to be lying on her back completely off Haruhi and not touching her in the slightest. Yuki and Haruhi were in a daze, the only movement was a slight twitch or two. Tamaki was sent to his corner of woe. The twins and Hunny had their mouths agape.
Kyoya entered the room.
"What happened in here?" He asked. Yuki leapt to her feet.
"Nothing! Nothing at all!" Yuki assured as she began to usher Kyoya out the door. "We better get going!"
"Yuki's not one to kiss and tell." Hikaru snickered.
"You would know, Kyoya." Kaoru added. Yuki's face flushed in embarrassment, afraid he would figure out their game. He didn't, judging by his confused look.
"What do you mean by that?" Kyoya asked.
"They're full of crap, Kyoya. Lets go! Bye, guys!" Yuki took Kyoya's hand and pulled him out the apartment and down the hall.
"YUKI KISSED HARUHI!" The twins chanted down the hall.
Yuki had to explain herself on the way to Kyoya's apartment. Kyoya was understanding. When they got there, Kyoya had provided everything Yuki had needed for the shower.
After Yuki's shower, she ended up spending the rest of the day there. She and Kyoya cooked lunch together. Yuki learned that she had left behind all her old recipes and he kept them and has been using them. Yuki didn't mind at all. Kyoya offered to return them, but Yuki didn't need them and she insisted that Kyoya kept them. Kyoya had a hell of a video game collection so that's what they did together.
Noel the kitten got in the way of their games, trying to get attention from the humans. She would pounce on Yuki and Kyoya in a playful manner, begging for attention. She'd trot on their game controllers and endlessly rub herself against the two. Yuki didn't mind. She asked Kyoya if she could keep Noel, but he said no. And then Noel went into Yuki's purse and pulled out the item that was the sole purpose of Yuki using a purse in the first place: a tampon. And then Yuki died of embarrassment.
Karen had arrived back to the apartment when Kyoya was on the phone. Kyoya had informed Yuki earlier that Karen was out shopping all day with a friend. And it looked like Karen had bought all of Woodfield.
"Hi, Yuki! What are you doing here?" Karen asked curiously as she dropped her bags and looked for Kyoya.
"He went into his bedroom to make a phone call." Yuki told her.
"Oh."
"Please don't get the wrong idea here! My shower head is busted and my hair was so gross so I came here to shower. And then Kyoya and I started playing video games." Yuki explained.
"Really?" Karen arched an eyebrow.
"What?"
"You like video games?" Karen questioned.
"Yeah."
"Oh. I don't like them. I think there are better things to do. Like shopping." Karen giggled. "Don't get me wrong. I don't mind that Kyoya plays video games, but even so I think that he might be too old for them. He can do whatever he wants, I guess. But I find them boring."
Yuki shrugged.
"You're entitled to your own opinion." Yuki simply replied.
"Oh, btdubbs, you're sister is the nicest person I've ever met! And she's so fun and smart and bright! I can't get enough of her! She's my girl crush, okay." Karen gushed.
"When did you see Hazuki?" Yuki asked, extremely curious. Karen was not getting to her sister too.
"Today, silly! We spent the whole day shopping. I picked out the cutest clothes for her! We tried on all these different outfits that were to die for! And I bought every single one!" Karen laughed. Yuki groaned internally. Not Hazuki too...
After Kyoya's call ended, he returned to the living room. Karen greeted him with a kiss, which killed Yuki. Then the couple proceeded to invite Yuki to stay for dinner. Yuki declined and decided to leave, unable to watch them be all lovey-dovey with each other.
"Open up, Hazuki!" Yuki ponded on Hazuki's apartment door.
"It's really gross in here, Yuki! You don't want to come in here!" Hazuki protested from the other side of the door. Yuki suddenly remembered she had a spare key and unlocked the door. Yuki walked in at a quick pace and made her way to Hazuki's bedroom.
Hazuki laid in bed, the covers pulled up to her chin.
"Yuki, I have a horrible hangover..." Hazuki whined.
"Cut the crap. You're wearing make-up." Yuki pointed out. And then she walked over to Hazuki's closet and opened the door, revealing all of the shopping bags on the floor of the closet. Yuki pulled the blankets off Hazuki, revealing her dressed for the day instead of dressed as though she lied in bed all day.
"I can explain-"
"Listen." Yuki cut off, her tone like ice. "My shower head broke and so the water pressure sucks. I went over to Kyoya's to take a proper shower and then I spend the day there playing video games with him. Karen comes home and tells me everything."
"Yuki, I'm sorry." Hazuki sat up. Yuki plopped down on the side of her bed, tears threatening.
"I just want everyone to stop lying to me." Yuki whispered, some tears escaping. "I can't believe anything anymore, Hazuki. All I hear is lies. And because someone lied, it lead me to run away and then Karen swooped in a took Kyoya away, and now she's taking you too..."
"No, no, no, no, no, Yuki. Don't cry, Yuki. Please don't cry." Hazuki pleaded quietly. But it was too late. "Listen to me, majority of the lies told to you I know for a fact that it was to help you. We kept it in your best interest. We lied for you, Yuki, and in our eyes, we believed that it what was best for you, Yuki, especially when you had that breakdown..."
"Don't bring that up." Yuki cut in.
"I'm sorry." Hazuki apologized. "Yuki, they're important to me too. Kyoya's important to me and I want more than anything for you two to get back together. But he is with Karen and Karen is a part of the group now. I have to at least try to like her."
"This is such high school bullshit..." Yuki muttered.
"That's because they're from our high school memories." Hazuki said. Yuki rolled her eyes, refusing to believe that's the reason why. "And you're making an effort too."
Yuki opened her mouth, her eyes ablaze in fury. Before she could scream at Hazuki, Hazuki held up a hand.
"What I mean is that you and Karen spend some more quality time together. She wants to do it. So you two are going shopping tomorrow." Hazuki stated firmly.
"You two just went shopping today!" Yuki protested.
"She lives to shop."
"But I don't shop!"
"Too bad. You just have to try, Yuki."
Silence settled between them.
"You wanna know a secret?" Hazuki asked, suddenly all giddy. Yuki looked at her. Hazuki giggled, a blush spreading across her cheeks.
"What's up with you?"
"Well, last night, you know there's that countdown and kiss at midnight and everything..." Hazuki squealed. Yuki nodded. "Well, I, um, kissed Hikaru!" She burst into a fit of giggles. Yuki laughed.
"Hikaru, huh?"
"Yeah! It was great!" Hazuki gushed. "And your friend Emily kissed Mori! I remember that too!"
Yuki laughed again. "No kidding! She has the biggest crush on him."
"I know!" Hazuki agreed.
"I didn't kiss anyone, did I?" Yuki questioned nervously.
"I won't say a thing about what you did last night, Yuki." Hazuki teased. Yuki's jaw dropped.
"I know that I sang with you. I know about the dance contest. And I know about the damn tattoo." Yuki grumbled. "What else happened?"
"Not saying!"
