Yuki sighed. She carried her grocery bags up the flights of stairs to her apartment. Her hair was flaked with the snow coming down. Inside the complex, it was very warm. Yuki started to overheat in her winter attire.
Setting the grocery bags down, she fished for her keys and unlocked the door. Reika was there to greet her with a wagging tail and smile as usual. Yuki smiled at her dog and picked up the bags to carry inside her apartment.
"Go, go, go!"
Suddenly, Yuki was tackled to the ground, her groceries flying everywhere. A pile of bodies pinned her down as Yuki thrashed around, trying to free herself from her attackers.
"Stop it, Yuki!"
"It's us!"
Yuki recognized their voices but she didn't calm down. Why was the host club holding her down like this? This is so sudden. What has she done to prompt them to do such a thing? She wasn't ready to see them yet.
"Get off me!" Yuki commanded firmly.
"You owe us an explanation!" The twins declared. Yuki had scrambled to her feet, but the twins grabbed her. "Where have you been?"
"I've been busy..." Yuki looked away. She knew they wouldn't buy it. "Okay, I've had a lot going on. I've taken a break. Honest. I haven't spoken to anyone. I went to the dance studio alone a few times to relax. I go straight to class and straight to work and then I come straight back. All I've been doing is trying to relax."
"And how's that working out for you?" The twins went on.
"Not very well, to be honest!" Yuki suddenly snapped. "It's a really long story..."
"Look, we know about the fight between you and Kyoya."
Yuki's face flushed in embarrassment. "How'd you find out?" She questioned.
"Kyoya told me and I briefed them on it." Tamaki answered.
"So what? It doesn't change anything. We just yelled at each other and I got greatly confused by him...I've ruined our relationship permanently and I don't know what to do." Yuki confessed.
"Listen to me!" Tamaki gripped Yuki's shoulders to get her attention. His seriousness scared Yuki. It was so unlike him. "You don't understand at all, Yuki. He loves you. Even I can see that. Why the hell would he go through so much trouble for you? Why do you think he hates it so much when you're with other guys? It's not because he hates you, it's because he loves you! He's jealous but he can't admit it! He's jealous, Yuki. He wants to be the only guy with you, not anyone else."
"Well then why didn't he say so?!" Yuki gasped.
"He can't admit such a thing! He doesn't know anything when it comes to love! He thinks he can't confess his feelings to you because he's not sure of anything. Yuki, believe me, his feelings are there. They're real. He loves you. That's never changed. And right now, he's going back to Japan to go break off his engagement with Karen!"
"Wait a minute! I thought he loved Karen!" Yuki protested.
"IT WAS AN ARRANGED MARRIAGE, YUKI!"
"He's only marrying her because she'll bring prosperity to the Ohtori family!"
"He doesn't love her!"
"He acted like he did because he was trying to make you jealous!"
"She cheated on him too!"
"They're going back to Japan to break off their arranged engagement!"
"Listen to me, Yuki." Tamaki tightened his grip on her shoulders. "He truly loves you. He needs you right now. Why? Because once he gets there, he's going to start thinking that he will disappoint his father. He's afraid of being disowned. Will he ever admit it? No. But I know him too well. Yuki, you have to go with him. You're part of the reason why he has to break off the engagement. He wants to be with you. You just have to be there for him and provide moral support."
"This is crazy! I have to go to Japan?" Yuki was in disbelief. This was all too much for her to handle.
"He's getting on a flight to Japan now. If you want to work on your relationship with him, you have to go very soon." Haruhi informed.
"Very soon?"
"Like now!" Hunny exclaimed.
"But my groceries are still all over my damn living room! I can't leave Reika and I can't bring her with me!" Yuki reminded, pulling away from Tamaki's tight grasp.
"Here is your passport!" Hunny shoved Yuki's passport in her hand.
"Where did you find my passport?!" Yuki cried.
"Never mind that! You got to go, Yuki-chan! Takashi and I will watch Rei-chan for you!" Hunny assured.
Tamaki has gripped Yuki's shoulders again, but this time, from behind.
"Just go, you idiot. You'll regret it if you don't." He spoke in her ear. And then he gave her a nudge forward.
Yuki rushed to her car. Tamaki and the twins followed, dragging Haruhi along with them (shocker).
"Wait! I don't know what airport!" Yuki suddenly realized.
"I'm on it!" Hikaru snatched her car keys from Yuki's hand and hopped in the front seat. Yuki did not object and climbed in the car with everyone else. Hikaru was driving extremely fast, prompting Haruhi and Kaoru to yell at him. Surprisingly, he did not get pulled over for a ticket.
Hikaru and Tamaki did get really ticked off with all of the traffic, though. When they arrived at the airport, Yuki was taken inside by Kaoru and Haruhi while Hikaru and Tamaki handled Yuki's car.
Yuki had to go through a hell of an adventure with security. First of all, they had to pay for the last minute fare of the plane, which drained all of Yuki's savings for going back to Japan permanently. Kaoru and Haruhi were not following Yuki to Japan.
Second of all, Yuki, being the stupid girl she was, went through security with a security tag on her sweatshirt under her coat. The alarm goes off and Yuki gets held up with the guards. Yuki got incredibly pissed off and snapped at one of the security guards and gotten herself into a bigger mess.
When everything got sorted out, Yuki rushed to the terminal where Kyoya's flight was taking off. She did not get there in time, and she watched out the window the jet pulling away from the building and sped down the runway.
"Dammit!" Yuki grunted. She knew he was on that plane just taking off; that plane that's going to Japan. She was so stupid anyway. She drained all of her money on a useless ticket to go with the man she loves to Japan to go break off his engagement with some other woman. Crazy, right?
"Huh. Well doesn't this look familiar."
Yuki spun around to see Tamaki, the twins, and Haruhi dragged with them. She blinked a few times, but it wasn't registering in her mind what they were talking about.
"How'd you get through security without tickets?" Yuki asked.
"We have our ways." The twins replied mischievously. Haruhi rolled her eyes.
"Damn rich bastards..." She muttered.
"Must be pretty damn rich to get through the American airport security system...You should've seen what I had to go through because my sweatshirt still has the security tag on it." Yuki added.
"How the hell did you not realize that your sweatshirt still has the damn security tag on it?" Haruhi asked. Yuki smiled at her sheepishly.
"It's thick and it's under my coat." Yuki shrugged. "That was his plane, right?"
"Yeah." Tamaki answered. Yuki sighed. It was already starting to bug her. Just waiting is agonizing. Is she going to have to wait for him to return to get a proper answer? What would she do?
Yuki snapped out of her thoughts and noticed Tamaki and the twins rushing back to the ticket desk. Yuki and Haruhi followed in confusion.
"One ticket to your next flight to Japan!" Tamaki and the twins whipped out shiny credit cards.
"Guys!" Yuki shouted. The trio of boys winked at her. A ticket was produced and shoved into Yuki's hands.
"The flight isn't for a while now. But I'm calling one of my butlers to come fetch you at the airport and will chauffeur you." Tamaki instructed as he pulled out his cellphone and quickly dialed.
"Once you get there, you're going to call us! And just in case your phone breaks again, take five." The twins handed her a bag.
"What else is in here?" Yuki opened the bag to look.
"You're probably going to have to stay the night tonight because your flight will be taking off later. We've also packed you extra stuff you might need in case of an emergency." The twins answered.
"Holy crap." Yuki sighed.
"We got you allllll covered!" The twins flashed Yuki grins.
"Okay! My butler, Akimoto-san, will come to fetch you at the airport and take you to a nearby hotel. We've already gotten you a room. You're going to have to get up early, Yuki. Akimoto-san will wake you up early to take you to the Ohtori mansion. Let's hope it's not too late." Tamaki explained after hanging up the phone.
"Akimoto Komachi?!" Yuki gasped, her eyes sparkling.
"No."
"Damn."
Her flight wasn't for a while now. Everyone stayed with Yuki in the airport until they saw that she had gotten on the flight.
"Glad to see he's back to normal." Yuki remarked, watching, with Haruhi, Tamaki and the twins bickering with each other in one of the shops. Haruhi snorted in agreement. "His seriousness was freaking me out."
"Tamaki can get very serious sometimes. When it comes to 'his family' I mean. He really wants this to work with you and Kyoya. And I agree. You two are great together."
"Really?" Yuki asked. Haruhi nodded.
"I thought I was oblivious. Yuki, it's so obvious." Haruhi giggled. Yuki smiled a little. Maybe her happy ending will come after all. Maybe the dark clouds will roll away and she will finally find her sunshine once again.
Author: I hope this isn't too rushed, guys! As you can see, we are nearing the end of this series. I'm "doubling up" some chapters because I think some are just too short in my opinion. Maybe I'll fix that later.
