Author: Sorry I haven't updated in a while! I know I owe weddings. Sorry this took so long but I've been going through a bit of a rough time. I won't bore you with details but it just made it very difficult to write weddings. Anyway, This is Yuki and Kyoya's wedding, set in the future where they're in their late twenties. It's supposed to be funny, romantic, emotional, etc. This is my first ever wedding I've ever written, so I'd like constructive criticism, please!
This is another super duper really long chapter, but I hope it makes up for not updating in a while! There are clarifications and announcements at the bottom! Enjoy~
"Ready?" Tamaki asked Kyoya as he pinned the flower on Kyoya's jacket. Tamaki had looked up from what he was doing to look at Kyoya and give him a kind smile.
Kyoya took a deep breath. "As I'll ever be." Kyoya finally replied.
"Okay, it's good that you're taking deep breaths. But try not to move so much. It isn't as easy as it looks. If you want me to work my magic, then hold still." Tamaki urged.
"Sorry. For the first time, I'm nervous. I'm more nervous than I should be. It's so strange." Kyoya murmured.
"You're not getting cold feet, are you?" Tamaki questioned him. He pricked his finger and grunted, but nonetheless continued working.
"No, no. It's nothing like that. I've imagined this day for a long time, Tamaki. It's a hard concept to grasp, that I'm finally here. I'm going to do this. I have everything memorized and I know what to do. In theory, there should be nothing to worry about. She loves me, I hope. And I love her. And it's going to stay that way forever from this day forward. But I'm simply blown away by the mere fact that it's happening today." Kyoya admitted. Tamaki chuckled.
"She feels the same way, I bet." Tamaki assured. "She's probably a nervous wreck."
"She probably tripped somewhere. Damn klutz."
Tamaki laughed and Kyoya chuckled at his own remark.
"The klutz who stole your heart." Tamaki reminded softly.
"The klutz who stole my heart." Kyoya repeated in agreement. He smiled to himself., thinking of Yuki and imagining what she looks like. Tamaki finally finished getting the flower on Kyoya.
"There. All done. Ta-da!" Tamaki announced with pride. "Sharp. Very sharp, Kyoya."
"It's my wedding. Isn't that how it's supposed to be?" Kyoya inquired, arching an eyebrow at Tamaki. Tamaki laughed and nodded. Kyoya turned to face a mirror to overlook his appearance. Both he and Tamaki were suited in expensive tuxedos. "Do you think I look good enough for her? Do you think I should take off my glasses and put those fuckers in?"
"Watch your French." Tamaki joked. "Kyoya, you're scaring me. You're worrying over nothing. You're going to blow her away. I bet it's your glasses that she fell in love with anyway."
"I'm not worrying. I do not need to worry over anything. There is no need for worrying. I merely want this day to go perfectly for her." Kyoya argued. Tamaki chuckled and rolled his eyes. Kyoya was worrying if it'll be good enough for his bride.
"Whatever you say, Mommy." Tamaki simply replied. And then he sniffled. Kyoya turned to face him. Tamaki was in dramatic tears, wiping them with a handkerchief.
"You're such a big idiot..." Kyoya grumbled.
"My Kyoya is all grown up!" Tamaki wailed, slapping his hand on Kyoya's shoulder and crying on it. Kyoya rolled his eyes.
"Can I open my eyes now?" Yuki asked.
"Just one more second..."
"C'mon! I wanna see now! What's taking so damn long?!" Yuki whined.
"Okay...and…done! Open your eyes!"
Yuki was sitting at a small table with makeup all over it. Hazuki was sitting on the other side in her blue cocktail bridesmaid dress. Her hair was twisted together over her one shoulder. She was all dolled up with her makeup done.
"C'mon, Yuki! Come look at yourself in the mirror!" Fuyumi urged. Yuki took a deep breath and got to her feet. She turned around to step in front of an incredibly large full-body mirror with a Hitachiin twin leaning on each side, both with proud and mischievous grins on their faces.
Yuki stared at her reflection for a moment, her eyes wide and her mouth hanging open a little in a silent gasp. Fuyumi stood behind Yuki, placing her hands on Yuki's bare shoulders and smiling at Yuki's reflection.
Yuki was dressed in a strapless white ball gown. It was a sweetheart neckline with a sparkling, beaded bodice following the neckline. Her ball gown skirt had many layers, topped with a thin sparkling layer of tulle. Although they were covered by the long dress, Yuki wore white high heels, giving her more height (but it didn't help because she still was shorter than Kyoya). A dazzling tiara sat on top of Yuki's head, connecting her lace veil that cascaded down beautifully. It was like the final layer of her of her dress, made of sparkling tulle with the addition of lace that complimented the dress nicely. Hazuki did her makeup lightly to highlight her beautiful features to make her stand out.
Words were choking up in Yuki's throat. She was speechless. Her hand covered her mouth and her eyes softened. Yuki hung her head and started crying. She remembered when this all came together at the earlier in the year.
"I'm never going to find a dress..." Yuki groaned as she entered her apartment with Haruhi.
"Don't worry. You've got plenty of time. We'll find something." Haruhi assured.
"Haruhi, we've been looking every weekend possible. We've been to every store that we can find. And I've only got a few more weeks until the wedding. I can't find the dress..." Yuki complained with a look of distraught on her face.
"Until today!" Hikaru and Kaoru popped out of nowhere, startling both Yuki and Haruhi.
"Where did you come from!?" Yuki and Haruhi demanded.
"C'mon, Yuki. We have one more dress for you to try on." A third voice startled Yuki and Haruhi. They spun back around to face Fuyumi emerging from Yuki's bedroom. She took the shocked Yuki's hands and pulled her back into the bedroom, closing the door behind them both.
"Did you guys already buy her a dress?!" Haruhi demanded from the twins. They shook their heads and were grinning mischievously. "Yuki's not in the mood for jokes! This isn't the time, not with the wedding so close!"
A few minutes later, there was a scream from the bedroom. Fuyumi opened the door and poked her head out.
"It fits." Fuyumi announced with a grin. The twins and Haruhi entered the bedroom to find Yuki standing in a beautiful white ball gown in front of a full-body mirror. Her eyes were wide and tears were escaping.
"It fits so perfectly...and it's so beautiful..." Yuki murmured as the twins circled Yuki, giving her an once-over.
"You look absolutely stunning, Yuki." Haruhi complimented.
"Thank you...Where did you find such a thing?" Yuki asked.
"I'm just here to put you in it." Fuyumi informed.
"We made it." The twins answered with proud smiles. Another small scream escaped Yuki's lips. She knew they were fashion designers and everything but this was too much!
"You made it?!" Yuki and Haruhi cried in unison.
"Yup! We went with you all those times dress shopping to find what you liked to put something together you would love and fit perfectly." Hikaru explained.
"It was a real pain in the ass. Biggest project ever. But it was definitely worth it." Kaoru added. Yuki was sobbing. She suddenly grabbed both of the twins and hugged them tightly, her tears dripping on them.
"Thank you. Thank you so much." Yuki sobbed.
"Wait, it's not complete. You don't have a veil yet." Fuyumi reminded. Yuki turned to face her future sister-in-law with a look of puzzlement as she released the twins. Fuyumi smiled and opened a long, old box that was sitting on Yuki's bed. From inside the box, Fuyumi pulled out a beautiful sparkling veil of lace and tulle. It was a little old-fashioned, but it suited the dress well.
Fuyumi placed the veil on Yuki's head and made a few adjustments.
"It'll look and feel better on your head when we have your hair done and the tiara on, but what do you think? I hope you don't have a Something Borrowed yet." Fuyumi stated.
"I love it, Fuyumi...but I can't wear your veil." Yuki was staring at her reflection in awe. She really did love the veil. It was beautiful.
"It's not mine." Fuyumi responded. "It was my mother's."
And this prompted Yuki to cry even harder.
"I...I can't wear something like this..." Yuki sobbed.
"Nonsense. She would've wanted you to wear it, Yuki. Dad got it out himself for you to wear." Fuyumi insisted.
"You look fantastic in it, Yuki." The twins assured.
"You really do." Haruhi agreed. Yuki wiped her eyes, but the tears kept flowing freely.
"Thank you...everyone..."
"Knock, knock." A voice said upon entering. Two of Yuki's bridesmaids, Bella and Juliet, entered the room dressed gorgeously in their bridesmaid dresses. They both always looked so pretty. Bella was a model, after all. Bella was Yuki's first friend at her new school in America, and they've been close since. She just spent most of her college days traveling overseas, studying engineering abroad, but also accepting many modeling offers. Juliet was a beautiful young woman who Yuki met in college. Yuki considers Juliet Yuki's first official close friend she met in college. She's an artist.
"Oh, I'm sorry, your majesty." Bella joked. "I was just looking for my friend, Yuki." Yuki smiled through her tears and giggled.
"Well, at least your makeup is waterproof. Better get it out of your system, right?" Juliet asked.
Yuki nodded in agreement.
"We just came to check up on you is all." Bella went on.
"You look stunning. Drop-dead gorgeous." Juliet complimented.
"Doesn't she?" Fuyumi and the twins cut in happily. Bella and Juliet nodded and smiled.
"She really does." Juliet agreed.
"Thank you." Yuki murmured.
There was another knock on the door.
"We're naked!" Bella called jokingly at whoever was on the other side of the door.
"Bella!" Yuki and Hazuki snapped. But everyone in the room couldn't suppress their laughs.
"Just kidding!" Bella called again. The door opened, and, surprisingly, Yoshio entered. It surprised everyone. Yoshio of all people! He was dressed sharply as ever in a tuxedo.
"Hey," Hazuki began. "Did you guys see those new lights in the bathrooms?"
"I thought that was just a rumor!" The twins replied quickly.
"We better go show you then!" Fuyumi added. She and Hazuki ushered the twins, Juliet, Bella out of the room so Yoshio and Yuki can talk in private. Yuki couldn't help but giggle to herself a little in embarrassment of her friends. Yuki carefully wiped her eyes so the makeup doesn't smear.
"You look..." Yoshio began, staring at Yuki. "You look beautiful, Yuki."
"Thank you." Yuki responded. She was half expecting for him to say the real reason why he came in to see her.
"You remind me of Manami. Especially in that veil of hers." Yoshio went on. "If she was here today, she would've dressed you up like a doll." He smiled softly. Yoshio held out a black box covered in velvet to Yuki. "Here"
"You didn't have to get me anything. What is it?" Yuki asked as she took it and opened it. Inside the box was a dazzling string of pearls.
"I want you to have those pearls. They were my wife's." Yoshio explained.
"Oh...I'm already using her veil...I can't take these." Yuki's eyes were watering again.
"I'm well aware of that. But she would've given those to you too." Yoshio insisted. "You are the first one of my children to not be in arranged marriage; marriage wanted out of love, not business. I seemed to have forgotten what love was like. But you reminded me."
Yuki started crying again, her hands going to her face as she tried unsuccessfully to calm herself down.
"You guys gotta stop doing this to me! I'm not even at the altar and I'm bawling like a baby." Yuki grumbled. She suddenly threw her arms around Yoshio, hugging him tightly. It startled Yoshio at first, but he returned her hug nonetheless, despite it being slightly awkward. Yuki, realizing this awkwardness, quickly pulled away and lowered her head out of embarrassment. "Thank you...they're so beautiful."
Yoshio had put the pearls around Yuki's neck for her. He had to go afterwards because it was about to start.
As for Yuki's mother and father, it's not like they didn't do anything for the wedding. Yuki's father, Aoi, constantly bickered with Yoshio over the wedding as Yuki was planning it. Some of the things they bickered over were pretty petty, which gave Yuki nothing but headaches. They both tried to pay for the wedding, but by now Kyoya has his successful business. He wanted to pay the wedding of Yuki's dreams himself.
Yuki's mother, Akane, felt a little guilty. Akane was never one to feel much guilt. But she did a little for Yuki's wedding, simply because she didn't have anything. Yuki's dead mother-in-law was contributing more than Akane was, donating such special items to Yuki. Akane, on the other hand, married Aoi in a courthouse before their twenties, but that was when they both were broke and Akane was already expecting Daichi. And Yuki wasn't all that close to her stepmother, even though she did help Yuki plan the wedding. Well, Yuki's stepmother tried to. Akane got a little jealous and so those two were bickering. In the end, it turned out Haruhi and Fuyumi being the ones helping Yuki the most with planning.
"Uh-oh." Yuki gasped as she searched her dressing room. She had lost her bouquet. Yuki started swearing like a sailor under her breath. Her bouquet was gone. Yuki had lost her freaking bouquet. Or maybe the twins were pranking her and snatched it up when she wasn't looking.
"Dammit, dammit, dammit." Yuki muttered. She walked to the door and opened it to set out to hunt those twins down. However, standing right there in front of Yuki's dressing room was Haruhi. She was also dressed in her bridesmaid dress.
"Oh, hi, Yuki." Haruhi greeted. Yuki noticed that in one hand of Haruhi's was her bridesmaid bouquet of lilies. And in the other hand was Yuki's bridal bouquet of roses.
"My flowers!" Yuki cried.
"You left these in the dining hall when you snuck away to try the food." Haruhi informed, handing her the bouquet. Yuki chuckled sheepishly.
"Thank you, Haruhi." Yuki bowed politely. Haruhi smiled.
"We're starting soon. C'mon." Haruhi urged. Yuki nodded and the pair set off to where the ceremony was to be held.
Yuki took a deep, nervous breath. She tried to remain calm, but it looked more like she was hyperventilating.
"Nervous?" Haruhi asked.
"Just a little."
Haruhi laughed. "Don't be. He's probably just as nervous. But you two are getting yourselves all worked up."
"I can't help it! I'm getting married! Do you think he'll like my dress? He doesn't know that it's his mother's veil and pearls. What if he minded? What if I trip in my heels? What if my dad and Kyoya's dad get in another argument?" Yuki was talking rapidly.
"Yuki, it'll be fine. You're beautiful. You're going to blow him away. Nothing you do will change his feelings for you. As for your dad and his, they've agreed to have a truce." Haruhi reassured. Yuki nodded and took another deep breath.
"Thanks..."
They had reached the vestibule where the bridesmaids and groomsmen wait in until its time for them to walk down the aisle. Yuki's bridesmaids were Hazuki, Bella, Juliet, and Kimiko. Juliet was one of Yuki's important friends she met in college. Kimiko was also an important friend from high school. She was also Mori's current girlfriend. Haruhi was Yuki's maid of honor. Kyoya's groomsmen included Hunny, Mori, Hikaru, and Kaoru. Tamaki was best man. Hikaru and Kaoru were also in charge of the rings.
Surprisingly, Yuki's mother, Akane was waiting in there for Yuki. Yuki went up to speak with her.
"You don't look half bad." Akane greeted her daughter. Yuki giggled.
"Thanks."
"No, I really mean it. I thought the whole shing-ding would be a waste. The white dress made me look like a virgin. And when I married your father, we were as broke as hell." Akane explained. "But you look beautiful, all dolled up. Since when did you get to be so much prettier than me?"
"You're pretty, mom." Yuki assured. Akane laughed.
"Thanks for trying." A silence settled in between them. It was a little awkward. "Hey." Akane called to Yuki. Yuki looked back up at her. "I'm sorry I was a bad mom."
"It's okay."
"I'm sorry I kept getting drunk. But I promise I won't today." Yuki laughed.
"Thanks." Yuki smiled, but her heart was pounding out of her chest. Her palms were sweating. She was growing more and more nervous.
"You look pale. You aren't nervous, are you?" Akane's accuracy hurts Yuki.
"A little." Yuki admitted with a sheepish chuckle.
"Why the hell are you nervous? You're just walking down an aisle and telling everyone you love that handsome boy." Akane pointed out, placing her hands on her hips. "Don't tell me you're intimidated by all the people? The girl who dances on a stage in front of thousands?"
"It's just a little overwhelming, mom. Try to have some empathy."
Akane rolled her eyes. "Wuss."
Yuki punched her arm.
"You have nothing to worry about. Worrying causes wrinkles. That's why I hardly have any at my age." Akane reassured.
"Thanks, mom."
"Well, I better get going to my seat. Fuyumi said she saved me a spot. See you in a bit." Akane patted her daughter's shoulder before walking into the ceremony hall.
"Well," Yuki swallowed. "Here we go."
"Don't be so nervous, Yuki-chan!" Hunny assured.
"How obvious is it?!" Yuki snapped.
"I know you, Yuki-chan. C'mon! Smile!" Hunny pushed the corners of Yuki's mouth up. "You'll be fine! I'll be up there by you so it's not as nerve wrecking, okay? So please don't worry yourself! Smile!"
Yuki genuinely smiled at Hunny's pep talk, which prompted Hunny to grin himself.
The bridesmaids and groomsmen gave Yuki hugs. The groomsmen were much tighter and longer than the bridesmaids. Haruhi was the exception, for she gave Yuki probably the longest but most reassuring hug a best friend could give. They all told her how beautiful she looked and wished her the best of luck.
After Haruhi's comforting hug, Mori whispered in her ear, "Smile. You look lovely."
"Thank you, Mori." Yuki smiled at the tall man. Yuki spotted her father and headed towards him. He was going to escort Yuki down the aisle.
"Hi, dad." Yuki greeted softly. He turned around to face Yuki and smiled. He stared at Yuki in awe and amazement at her beauty.
"Yuki...you look absolutely breathtaking..." He remarked. Yuki smiled.
"Thank you."
And then he heaved a sigh. "Where did the time go?" Yuki giggled at his question.
"I don't know." Yuki replied with a shrug.
"Are you ready?" Her father questioned. Yuki nodded and grinned, gripping her bouquet.
"I think so."
"Good. Because I might not be." Yuki laughed. Aoi took his daughter's arm, lopping his with hers. They both took a deep breath simultaneously before Aoi began to escort Yuki down the aisle. The orchestra played for her entrance in the hotel room.
The venue for the wedding ceremony was something difficult to describe. Hanging from the ceiling were sparkling crystal chandeliers that glowed softly. The venue had such a warm golden glow from them and some other soft lights set up. The decorations were primarily gold, white, and purple. Flowers were a big decoration, decorating the rows of seats and the arbor with ribbons. Flower petals were dropped along the aisle by the flower girl, who was Kyoya's niece. Off to the side was the orchestra playing as the bridal party made their way down the aisle.
Yuki couldn't believe it. It was everything she's ever dreamed of ever since she was a little girl. And she has it now. It's here for her. It's actually happening. Her important friends and family surrounded her. All of her bridesmaids were lined up on the left side of the altar. The minister was at the center. Kyoya and his groomsmen were all lined up on the right side of the altar, which were all waiting patiently for Yuki.
Upon Yuki's entrance, she immediately took Kyoya's breath away. Tamaki saw this and grinned.
"I know." Tamaki whispered. Kyoya chose to ignore Tamaki and focus on Yuki. He couldn't take his eyes off her. She was so beautiful. He wasn't sure what it was about her, but Kyoya now felt more ready than ever to marry her and love her for forever.
Yuki had reached the end. Aoi had kissed her cheek and released her. Yuki noticed his eyes were watering. She gave him a reassuring pat before taking her place in front of Kyoya. Aoi took his seat in the front row next to Yoshio.
"Friends, family; we are gathered here today to celebrate the union of Ikeda-Hoshizora Shirayuki and Ohtori Kyoya." Yuki gave the minister a death glare that struck panic throughout him. "Ah, I mean Ikeda-Hoshizora Yuki." Much better. Yuki's glare disappeared and the bright grin returned to her face. Yuki turned her head back to face her future husband.
As the minister resumed speaking, Hikaru received a nudge from Kaoru as they stood patiently.
"What?" Hikaru asked in a hushed tone. Kaoru pointed to the small cloth bag that they used to hold the rings in. The bag was in Hikaru's hands. It had a pretty design, but Kaoru was pointing a hole in the small bag. Hikaru noticed and his eyes went wide. He opened up the drawstring and peeked inside. The rings were gone.
Oh shit.
A silent argument ensued between Hikaru and Kaoru consisting of gestures and mouthing of cusses. It ended when Hikaru pushed Kaoru towards the nearby side door. They needed to escape before they get slaughtered.
"Maybe we can find the rings before Yuki and Kyoya finish their vows." Hikaru suggested hopefully. "We know they're in the hotel."
Kaoru gave him a deadpanned look. "It's like finding a needle in a haystack. What if it fell as we walked down the aisle? What if its somewhere in there? Then everyone will see we lost the rings!"
"I'm just trying to be optimistic. What do you suggest we do?" Hikaru crossed his arms across his chest.
"The only thing we can do. We have to retrace our steps of where we went with the rings." Kaoru replied sharply.
"Great." Hikaru said sarcastically as they set off to find the rings.
Meanwhile...Yuki had just started to say her vows.
"See...when I was growing up, I never had a normal family or childhood. It was in many pieces, and I thought I was lost." Yuki began softly. "And then, I broke a vase. I met you. I didn't like you." Yuki said frankly. She chuckled to herself. "But somehow in this mess, I found my own family. It's not perfect, but it's mine. Kyoya, you were and still are a jackass. But I fell in love with you, Kyoya. I didn't think I could ever love or be loved, but now I'm here. I'm standing here today...and I have everything I need. This is everything I could've dreamed of, standing right here in front of you and telling my friends and family how much I love you, Kyoya. I love you more than I love life itself. You are my family. You're my future. You are my soul mate, my one true love, and my handsome prince. Living without you is not a life worth living because I love you so much. And I promise that I will love you forever and ever. I promise I'll be a good wife and supporter. I promise I'll be a good mother of our future children. I promise I'll try to make you as happy as I feel, knowing that we're finally going to be husband and wife...I don't know what the future has in store for us, but I'm not afraid. With you by my side, I know everything will be okay and everything will always work out in the end. We have a bright and shining future ahead of us that I can't wait to go after. We'll live happily ever after…Now, I am found."
Yuki's eyes were watering again, but she was smiling so brightly, true happiness just radiating off her. It was so contagious, for everyone was feeling her happiness of this moment. Eyes were starting to water at this beautiful love being shared.
"Hikaru! I found one!" Kaoru called as he raced down the hall of the hotel. The wedding band was bouncing down the hall, rolling into where the reception would be held.
As he ran into the reception hall, a worker was carrying a tray of expensive china. You can imagine what's going to happen next. Kaoru was running too fast after the ring and the man happened to be walking right in Kaoru's path. Kaoru slammed on the brakes immediately, trying to avoid crashing. But of course, this was Kaoru...and this was Yuki's wedding. Yuki would murder him if he did anything to ruin her special day.
The worker had noticed Kaoru running after him and panicked, freezing on the spot, afraid that Kaoru would run into them and destroy the fine china Kyoya paid so much for.
Kaoru almost crashed into the worker, but he was able to stop fast enough. Unfortunately, it was such a close call that a single plate slipped off the tray of dishes.
Both Kaoru and the worker's eyes grow wide.
Kaoru makes a decision.
He dramatically leaps, ending up falling on the floor, but the plate lands safely in his hands.
"See? This wasn't so bad. Why couldn't Yuki and Haruhi done something like this?" Kaoru muttered. He jumped to his feet, put the plate back on the tray the worker was still holding, and then resumed going after the ring.
Unfortunately, the ring rolled under where the buffet of Yuki's all-you-can-eat food was set up. And her incredibly expensive, intricately decorated, multi-tiered cake was sitting right there.
Okay so now it was Kyoya's turn to say his vows.
"Yuki, there are so many words to describe you." Kyoya began. Yuki arched an eyebrow, giving him a look questioning whether that was a good thing or anything. "You're sweet, loving, kind, generous, strong, capable, independent, beautiful, passionate, hopeful, and the list will never end of all of the good things I see in you. I merely picked the simplier ones for your special vocabulary."
Everyone chuckled. Yuki glared. "I'll show you my vocabulary—"
"When I first laid my eyes on you," Kyoya cut in with a smirk. Yuki let him continue. She was used to him picking on her. "I just knew that I never wanted to let you go. I wanted to be with you. I had such emotions that I never understood. It was incredibly puzzling, since I didn't think much of emotions in general because they lacked importance in my life, especially emotions of love. But you changed all that for the better. I have fallen in love with you, Yuki. You are the only one for me, my soul mate, if you will. I cannot imagine living without you. Marrying you today is, quite frankly, nerve wrecking, but I've never felt happier in my entire life. I am the luckiest man in the world to marry such an amazing woman like you, Yuki. I promise that for the rest of my life, I will try to make you happy. I promise to be a good husband, to always be there for you, by your side, even in the darkest of hours. But I also do not want to say that I will love you until the day I die."
There was a slight pause, but it was long enough to make Yuki start panicking and second-guessing herself already.
"Until the day we die is such an…understatement. It's such a short period of time. Yuki, I will always love you. I will love you for all of eternity, always by your side." Kyoya explained. Yuki was crying like a baby by now. And, surprisingly, Kyoya's eyes were watering too.
"What happened to you?" Hikaru asked Kaoru. Kaoru was covered in sauces and other various liquids from the buffet and from a wine bottle he smashed when the ring ended up behind the open bar. His hand was also covered in icing. There's now a handprint on the wedding cake, but it could've been worse. Kaoru almost knocked it over.
"Shut up. I got the ring, didn't I?" Kaoru growled, glaring at Hikaru. Hikaru had called Kaoru over to the pool of the hotel, and they were standing on the edge of it. "Did you find the other one?"
"It's down there." Hikaru pointed to the bottom of the deep pool.
"Then go get it."
"Why do I have to get it?"
"Because you lost them in the first place! And now you found them so go get it!" Kaoru snapped bitterly. Hikaru and Kaoru broke out into an immature brotherly argument, fighting over who has to swim at the bottom of the pool to get the ring.
And then Kaoru shoved Hikaru into the pool. Hikaru surfaced immediately and spat out the water.
"What was that for!?" He hissed.
"Go. Get. That. Ring." Kaoru commanded. "Yuki will murder us if we don't. Now hurry!" Hikaru rolled his eyes, disliking how bossed around he was being. Nonetheless, Hikaru swam to the bottom of the pool. It was very difficult considering the fact that he's in an expensive tuxedo. It prompted Kaoru to laugh at Hikaru struggle. And that in turn, prompted Hikaru to splash Kaoru. This started another petty argument between them, wasting more and more time.
"May we have the rings?" The minister asked at the ceremony, everyone turning to where Hikaru and Kaoru were standing with the rest of the groomsmen. But they were gone.
"Hikaru...Kaoru…" Yuki growled, narrowing her eyes, gritting her teeth, and her grip tightening around her bouquet of flowers. Boy, was she pissed. The one day in her life...the one special day Yuki has dreamed of since she was a little girl...ruined by Hikaru and Kaoru once again! Can't anything go right for her? Granted, Yuki did just state that she didn't need all the extravagant decorations of the wedding, but rings were the symbol of their love! It's unifying and binding for eternity!
"Where'd Hika-chan and Kao-chan go?" Hunny asked.
"I walked in with Hikaru." Bella informed.
"And I walked in with Kaoru." Juliet added.
"Those rotten twins! How dare they ruin my little girl's special day! When I get my hands on them—"
Tamaki's dramatic rant was cut short. Suddenly, the grand entrance doors of the ceremony hall swung open with a great flourish. Hikaru and Kaoru stood in the doorway, trying to catch their breath. Hikaru was completely drenched. Kaoru had stains and red wine all over him. Both were equally disheveled and messy, but they swiftly walked back down the aisle towards the altar.
Yuki was the one who stepped down from the altar to retrieve the rings from the twins.
"We...can...explain..." They huffed.
"Later." Yuki said. She held out her hand, which they dropped the rings into. Yuki turned around to step back to the altar where everyone was waiting, stopped, turned back around to Hikaru and Kaoru. She then punched them both. Afterwards, Yuki went back up to the altar, smiling as if nothing happened.
Yuki had placed a ring on Kyoya's finger, and Kyoya placed a ring on Yuki's finger. She really wasn't that mad at the twins anymore. Excitement was building inside Yuki already.
"By the powers invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss." Yuki was practically bouncing with joy and excitement. She quickly pulled Kyoya into a kiss, putting her hands on his face. He was slightly startled by this act, but nonetheless returned her kiss lovingly.
Everyone clapped and cheered for the newly wedded couple, overjoyed that these two finally did it. Tamaki, Hunny, and the twins were bawling, so happy for the two. Daichi and Michio were crying pretty hard too, their baby sister gone from them now. There really wasn't much of a dry eye in the room anymore, but those six were pretty dramatic about it.
The wedding reception was similar to the ceremony, dimly lit and using the same colors of white, gold, and purple. There were gorgeous and large drapes hanging over everyone. Candles were lit at every table. Strings of lights were hanging on the drapes across the ceiling.
Yuki had a themed wedding of fairytales and happy endings. So each table was decorated to be like that fairytale along with the usual flowers. For example, the Cinderella table had a glass slipper on it for decoration. And the place cards with the people's names on it and designated table included a quote from the Disney movie of that fairytale on it. And...Yuki had included a Pretty Cure per table, but that was more hidden. Also included on every table was a simple little camera you can by at Walgreens, but it was to promote everyone to take as much pictures as they'd like. It was Yuki's idea since she has so little pictures of her childhood.
The china was white with delicate purple and gold intricate details. The flowers varied from all different colors, giving the room a splash of color aside from the white, purple, and gold. Every little detail was put much into thought. The room had a lovely magical and enchanted vibe to it.
"Ladies and gentlemen, it brings me great pleasure to introduce for the very first time, Mr. And Mrs. Kyoya Ohtori." The band announced in the microphone on the stage. Yuki and Kyoya had entered the reception hall, and everyone had clapped and cheered for them.
The first thing that has to be done is Yuki and Kyoya have their first dance of the night, the first dance as a married couple. Yuki had let Kyoya lead her during the song (when ballroom dancing Yuki always leads). And for five minutes, the whole world had melted away. It was just Yuki and Kyoya, dancing together as the start of their new chapter in their lives. It didn't matter who or what was surrounding them or what will happen after the dance. What matters now is that Yuki and Kyoya are finally married. They are together in each other's warm arms, and only them, moving slowly together as one.
The crowd cheered happily for Yuki and Kyoya, moved by their romantic dance. Kyoya and Yuki shared another brief kiss when their dance ended.
"I love you." Kyoya murmured.
"I love you too." Yuki responded softly.
Dinner was an all-you-can-eat buffet. Would you expect any less from Yuki? The top chefs in the world made all of the food. Would you expect any less from Kyoya? The only thing noticeable that Kaoru was there was the handprint on the cake on the dessert table.
Yuki had chewed the twins' asses out for almost ruining her wedding. She had pulled them aside into another room.
"But," Yuki spoke. By now, she had the twins bowing at her feet begging for mercy and muttering how unworthy they are of the Shadow Queen. Her arms were crossed, her eyes closed, and her face turned up and away from the "peasants."
"You did get my rings back. And you didn't kill anyone. So thank you." Yuki said, smiling at them.
"Thank you for mercy! Thank you! Thank you!" The twins had obnoxiously hugged Yuki's legs, dramatically crying tears of joy.
"If anything like this happens again, I'll skin you alive! You got it?"
"Yes!"
"Now let go of me so I can go eat my food!"
Yuki kicked the twins off her. It was fairly easy considering she was wearing heels. And she went to the buffet, happily grabbing as much food as she can fit on her plate before taking her seat beside the patiently waiting Kyoya.
"Did you get everything sorted out?" Kyoya asked her.
"Yes, sweetheart. I had them on their knees begging for mercy." Yuki replied with great pride, but an innocent face.
"I'm so proud of you." Kyoya remarked. He chuckled and Yuki laughed. But there was a dark and evil glint in her eyes. She planned on making Kyoya do the exact same thing in the bedroom on their honeymoon. Soon...
Since Tamaki was the best man, he wanted to make a speech about Yuki and Kyoya. And Haruhi was the maid of honor so she was doing the speech with Tamaki. The room fell silent to listen what they had to say.
"Hello, ladies and gentlemen! I'm Tamaki, the best man." Tamaki introduced.
"I'm Haruhi, Yuki's maid of honor." Haruhi also introduced, just not as enthusiastically as Tamaki.
"Kyoya was my very first friend I made in Japan. He has become my best friend in the entire world. He put up with me all throughout middle school. And high school got even crazier, when he agreed to start up a host club with me. We recruited our closest friends and had a lot of fun making women happy. The host club would never have happened without Kyoya. I would've never met Hikaru, Kaoru, Hunny, and Mori. And Haruhi would actually have ended up studying in Music Room Three instead of smashing a vase and throwing herself indebted to us."
"But being in the host club wasn't so bad." Haruhi injected. "It was something to get used to. I actually had fun. I learned about people in the world around me, and about myself. I guess the only thing keeping me sane was Kyoya, but even he drove me crazy with his black heart. You'd think that I'd have enough, right? But I still saw that there's one missing piece in our dysfunctional family."
"And then, Yuki comes in. She stumbles in Music Room Three in a beast-like rage, bleeding, dirtied, and with her face drawn on. Despite this, Kyoya and I both knew that we liked Yuki and we didn't want her to leave. I knew that very day, Kyoya needed a person like Yuki in his life. A heart of gold to match his black one. Kyoya and I came up with the plan to make Yuki smash another vase and trap her with us forever." Tamaki explains.
"I hated that plan." Haruhi chimed in, deadpanned. "It was horrible. They shouldn't have done such a terrible thing to the innocent girl. I thought they had reached a new low." Haruhi paused." But, I will admit it: I loved having Yuki around. Yuki is an amazing person. She gave me hope, she made me laugh and smile, she was the one who supported me no matter what. She was the first person at Ouran that understood me, to some degree. I always felt like a fish out of water at Ouran, being the only commoner. But with Yuki around, she made me feel like I can take all the damn rich kids by storm."
"Without tricking Yuki, Yuki and Kyoya would never have gotten together. They would have never fallen in love. No two people belong together as much as Yuki and Kyoya should. No two people share the special kind of love Yuki and Kyoya have." Tamaki pointed out.
"They are exact opposites," Haruhi added. "But they're each other's missing pieces. Tamaki and I both knew Kyoya needed someone like Yuki in his life. As tough of a mask Kyoya puts up, Tamaki and I saw him drowning. Yuki saved him, but I also think that Kyoya saved Yuki. Yuki wasn't drowning; she was just running. Yuki kept running away from her past, her home, and she couldn't stop running because she was driven by fear and pain. Kyoya...Kyoya's the one who went after her when she ran. He kept up, and he stopped her from running towards a bad end. So, not only does Kyoya need Yuki; however, Yuki needs Kyoya. They complete each other so perfectly."
"I saw Yuki's affect on Kyoya. She changed him, breaking his mask. She reminded him how to feel, love, hope, and just to simply live and enjoy life. She taught him how to be independent...that it doesn't matter if Kyoya is his father's successor or not. What matters is what he wants. And Kyoya taught Yuki that she doesn't have to shut people out, that she doesn't have to think that the entire world has turned it's back on her. He taught her that she doesn't have to run away when things get tough. He reminded her that good things do come out of hard work, even in the darkest of times when you get scared and you want to run. I could never do any of that, which is why I get so happy when I see Yuki and Kyoya together in such a perfect harmony." Tamaki was tearing up already. Haruhi reassuringly patted him on the shoulder.
"Their love is so strong and powerful, and nothing should get in their way as they take the world as a married couple. I consider myself the luckiest girl in the world to have such a strong and close relationship with these two amazing people. If Tamaki and I are even half as happy as Yuki and Kyoya, if our love even resembles the love Yuki and Kyoya share, I'd be even luckier. We wish them nothing but an eternity of happiness...for these two deserve it."
Tamaki and Haruhi were crying at the end of their speech (by crying I mean Tamaki was bawling). So were a lot of people, including Yuki, as everyone applauded Tamaki. Yuki squeezed Kyoya's hand and he kissed her cheek.
Yuki pulled both Tamaki and Haruhi into a tight hug, crying on them and thanking them for such a wonderful speech.
"It was nothing." Haruhi said, smiling at her best friend.
"It was my pleasure, princess." Tamaki assured, smiling and giving Yuki a kiss on her hand.
After eating their meal, Yuki and Kyoya together as one cut the white and pearly pink wedding cake. It prompted more applause. Kyoya gave Hikaru and Kaoru the pieces with the handprint on it.
"You sure know where to find the best cake in the world." Yuki complimented Kyoya as she munched on her slice.
"Only the best for you." Kyoya responded. Yuki smiled. She got icing on her face from eating the cake, but she seemed not to notice for she was enjoying the delicious cake too much.
"You can be such a messy eater sometimes." Kyoya said with a sigh. He took one of the soft, white cloth napkins and wiped the icing off Yuki's face. Yuki giggled and smiled innocently at him.
"I sowwy." Yuki joked, laughing. Kyoya smiled and looked at the pearls around Yuki's neck.
"Where did you get these? Are they new?" Kyoya asked, examining the pearls. Yuki paled, afraid to tell him that they were his mother's.
"They were our mother's, Kyoya." Akito (Kyoya's brother) informed. He came up from behind Yuki, startling her and prompting a small scream to escape. Yuki quickly covered her mouth, embarrassed of herself.
"They were?"
"Our father gave them to her." Yuuichi added, joining Akito's side.
"They suit you very well." Kyoya complimented Yuki, giving her a reassuring smile. Yuki's face flushed out of embarrassment.
"Yes, we think so too." Akito agreed.
"She would've been so happy to see them on you." Yuuichi said to Yuki.
"Thank you..." Yuki kept her head lowered because her face was bright red from all the compliments.
"We came over to congratulate you two." Yuuichi announced. "We're very happy for you."
"Thank you." Yuki and Kyoya replied in unison.
"Take good care of him." Akito whispered in Yuki's ear. "Tamaki was right. He needs someone like you."
"I will." Yuki murmured, giving Akito thumbs up and a wink. Kyoya's brothers went over to go have a discussion with Daichi and Michio, both brothers giving Kyoya a pat on the shoulder before leaving.
"That was very nice of them. They like you a great amount and already consider you another sister." Kyoya explained to Yuki.
"I consider them as my older brothers too." Yuki announced.
"So what did Akito whisper in your ear?"
"Ah...haha...about that..." Yuki nervously poked her fingers together. Quick, Yuki! Think! "He was just telling me how beautiful I was!"
Kyoya was not convinced, but he decided if must be a secret kept between them, which is why Yuki lied to him. It was understandable and didn't press her about it.
Everyone was dancing to the music and having the time of their lives. Unfortunately for Kyoya, he didn't get to dance with Yuki for the rest of the party. First, Yuki had a very moving father-daughter dance (which had Yuki crying on him too. What a baby). Yuki even shared a dance with Yoshio, Yuuichi, and Akito. Yuki even had a dance with her bridesmaids just for the hell of of it (also because the twins were screwing with Kyoya so they made her bridesmaids dance with her). Then Yuki danced with Mori. And then Hunny. And then Hikaru. And then Kaoru.
"I saved the best for last." Yuki said cheerfully to Kyoya as Kaoru was about to hand her over. Kyoya smiled and reached out a hand. Just as Yuki was about to place her palm in his, someone came in, took Yuki's hand, and swept her away. That person was none other than Tamaki.
"Ah, here's the best!" Yuki joked.
"I feel like I've seen this seen before..." Haruhi muttered.
"Look, Kyoya! I stole yo girl! Revenge is so sweet!" Tamaki laughed evilly. "Remember, mommy! It's important that Yuki and I share our father-daughter dance!"
"He stole yo girl." Juliet repeated, teasing Kyoya and giggling softly to herself.
Kyoya looked rather irritated, as he was looking forward to dancing with Yuki. Yuki was giggling as she danced with Tamaki. She winked at Kyoya and he smiled at her in response. He was already starting to plot revenge on the big French idiot.
"Some things never change." Kyoya murmured, smiling fondly at his memories.
The father-daughter dance between Tamaki and Yuki turned out to be very tearful, but what else was new? Tamaki clung onto Yuki, begging his little girl never to grow up.
And just as Tamaki was about to hand Yuki over to Kyoya, Yuki was swept away by her older brothers.
"You get Yuki for the rest of your life." Michio said to Kyoya, standing next to him as Yuki danced with Daichi. "You can dance with her for forever, but today is the very last day that she's ours. From tomorrow on, she's yours. So treat her right and take excellent care of her."
"I will. I promise." Kyoya promised Michio. Michio smiled.
"Good. I trust you."
Kyoya wasn't forever alone either. He had pleasant dances with each bridesmaid, Kimiko, Juliet, Bella, Hazuki, and Haruhi. He also danced with Fuyumi in place of a mother-son dance. Hell, Kyoya even danced with Akane, who did not get drunk this wedding. Kyoya got pulled aside by Aoi Hoshizora to get grilled with a number of questions.
The end of the party was drawing near. Everyone was growing tired as he night wore on.
"Can I have everyone's attention please?" Daichi called. The room quieted down to listen to Daichi. "Thank you." He cleared his throat.
"Hi, everyone. I may not be the best man or maid of honor of the bride and groom. But I am Yuki's oldest brother. And I think it's safe to say, I'm the one who's been with Yuki the longest, along with Michio. I'd like to say something about my baby sister since it's her big day today...and I'm going to lose her to some four-eyed Ohtori." Daichi's eyes were watering already. "I was there when Yuki was born. I watched her learn and grow. I watched her struggle and endure. I watched her love and laugh all these years. Yuki's been through a lot in her lifetime, more so than a lot of people would. I love Yuki. I only want the best for my baby sister, and I knew times were getting darker and darker for her, which is why we decided to send her to Ouran Academy. When she transferred there, I noticed a change in Yuki. She was the happiest I've ever seen her. The darkness was no longer getting to her. I didn't understand what was going on, to be honest. Maybe it was this host club she got sucked into. But I truly thought she would live a better life together as a family in America. I thought she would have so much more opportunity. If she moved with us, we could give her a better life.
"I was wrong. When we moved to America, I noticed another change in Yuki. The darkness had gotten her, worse than ever before. She was completely swallowed in despair. I wondered if she still believed in love. There was something missing...something so important to her was missing and creating a void in her heart of gold...I kept showering her with everything she wanted, but all she wanted was to go back Japan. I understood that moving was tough, but why did you want to go back Japan? What was there that wasn't in America? I just didn't understand by my baby sister was suffering so much...and I killed me to watch her go through so much pain.
"And then college rolls around. My baby sister surprises us all with her acceptance into Harvard University. I eventually noticed a third change that was very similar to the first. She was so happy again. It was radiating off her. She was her old self again, and that's when it hit me. Yuki was so unhappy when we moved to America because we kept her from love. We took away her love and her friends in Japan. Yuki loved Kyoya in high school, and that never changed. I feel like a complete idiot for keeping these two apart...for keeping Yuki from love and happiness. No one, absolutely no one, not even our fathers and their intense rivalry, should ever keep Yuki and Kyoya apart. My baby sister deserves only the best. No one will ever seem good enough to me for Yuki. But, damn, Kyoya. You're the only one who I think who is almost good enough for her. The closest any guy has gotten on Yuki's long list of boyfriends. I see how happy you make her feel. I see the incredible love you two share. Nothing should ever get in their way...I love my baby sister...I will do anything to protect my baby sister...so if you do anything to hurt her...hurt her happiness..." He was really starting to get choked up. "I will beat you to a pulp...so you better take damn good care of her and treat her right...and keep making her as happy like you usually do...because Yuki is my precious baby sister..."
Everyone applauded Daichi for his wonderful speech.
Daichi was crying. And so was Yuki. Yuki had rushed up to Daichi to hug him tightly. They were crying on each other. Daichi loved all of his siblings so much. Yuki will always be his baby sister, the one who didn't get the silver spoon like Hazuki. He will always care for her and try to give her what he believes is the best for her. He will always look at Yuki and see the little girl she used to be, even when she's all dressed up in her wedding dress.
"I love you, Daichi." Yuki murmured as she hugged him tightly.
"Big brother! Big brother!" Yuki called happily. Her hair was in curled pigtails. She was wearing an adorable little pink dress that fitted her six-year-old body perfectly. She danced and spun around; her tiny arms were open wide as she laughed to her heart's content. "When I grow up, I'm gonna be a princess! I'm gonna live in a castle with my prince! And we'll eat all the food in the world together! And I'll dance for everyone! But I don't wanna live without you, so you can live in my castle with me, big brother! Because I love you!"
Daichi didn't want to let Yuki go in the hug, but he did. He had to let go of her eventually, no matter how hard it was. But it wouldn't be so bad because Yuki will always and forever be, his precious baby sister, close to his heart.
That was basically the end of the party. Kyoya had a limo waiting outside of the hotel to take him and Yuki to the airport for their honeymoon. Yuki pulled Juliet and Kimiko aside before they left.
"Listen, I put Hikaru and Kaoru in charge of collecting the cameras. But after the whole ring fiasco, I'm putting you two in charge." Yuki informed.
"We're on it." Kimiko assured. "You can count on us."
"If you have any questions, talk to Haruhi. She's pretty much in charge of everything else." Yuki added. "But if you need to talk to me, you have my number. But don't call me on the plane because apparently that makes planes crash and I just got this new phone and I don't want it in the toilet again!"
"Got it." Juliet winked. "Now go enjoy your honeymoon!" Juliet and Kimiko pushed Yuki away over to Kyoya. Yuki ended up tripping and falling flat on her face. Damn klutz who stole Kyoya's heart.
"Are you okay?" Kyoya asked, offering Yuki a hand up. Yuki accepted his hand and he pulled her to her feet into his arms.
"I'm perfect."
The goodbye was tearful. Well, for the usual six: Tamaki, Hunny, Hikaru, Kaoru, Daichi, and Michio. Everyone else happily waved goodbye to Yuki and Kyoya as they stepped outside towards the limo.
"Hey, look." Yuki suddenly said. "It's snowing."
It was late at night, but it started to snow lightly. The snowflakes delicately swirled together towards the ground. It was quite a pretty sight, to be honest. It was so white and soft. I made Yuki look more like a Snow Queen instead of a Shadow Queen.
"You'll catch a cold. Let's go into the limo." Kyoya urged. Yuki smiled.
"Look at you worrying about me. I have a strong immune system." Yuki joked. Kyoya opened up the door to the limo.
"Bye, guys!" Akane called happily. "Be sure to have lots of sex on your honeymoon! And don't forget the booze!"
Yuki rolled her eyes as she climbed inside. Kyoya took a seat beside her. The driver of the limo started to drive forward, but then stopped. The driver got out of the car, leaving Yuki and Kyoya exchanging looks.
"Do they have a flat tire?" Hunny asked.
"I don't think that's it, Mitsukuni." Mori replied. Hunny looked around.
"We're did Hika-chan and Kao-chan go?"
"What's wrong?" Yuki asked the driver.
"Well, I don't mean to worry you, Mrs. Ohtori, but the tires are filled with mayonnaise." He replied sheepishly.
A glare swept across Yuki's face.
"HIKARU! KAORU!"
Author:
I JUST HAD TO INCLUDE THAT SCENE WHERE TAMAKI STEALS YUKI LIKE IN THE FINALE OF THE ANIME EVEN THOUGH THIS STORY HAS HARDLY ANY CORRLATION AT ALL WITH THE ANIME.
First off, yes, this is inspired by Tangled Ever After and Phoebe's wedding from Friends.
Also, Yuki's dress is basically Alfred Angelo Cinderella of the Disney Bridal Line, Style 205. I'm very bad at describing it.
Okay! Clarifications! First off, prollie wondering about Bella, Juliet, and Kimiko, right?
I do not own any of those listed characters.
Bella belongs to KHgamergeekgirl.
Juliet belongs to KatieTheFanGirl.

Now, announcements:
Honestly, I probably won't be writing any more weddings write now, even though I have the request of Haruhi and Tamaki's wedding and Kimiko and Mori's wedding. The next chapter updated on here might be kids.
I'm working on rewriting the story, but it's taking a while.
I will upload part 3 when I upload the rewritten Sunshine Kiss. It's all a working process and April is a pretty stressful month for me. Things will clear up in May and June. Hopefully this will be completed by June (but that's me being ambitious).
Do you have a request? Send me a message! Especially if you want to see anything with kids because that's what I'm working on right now! Please send me requests. AND REVIEW. YOU GUYS KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE READING REVIEWS.
And guys you should totally check out and follow my Sunshine Kiss tumblr ask/RP blog sunshine-kiss-roses. If you want to learn something more about a character, send an ask and Yuki will answer!
