A/N: Going to post a second chapter this weekend to try and make up for missing over 2 months of posting chapters!
Zach POV
I didn't know what had got into Lex. She had never run away like this, even when she was pretending to be someone else. One of her past Legends. Rosie May Ferrell. She was supposed to be a right drama queen. Bright pink and purple curls and diamond eyes. I had never seen her as such a B**** and/or slut. It was part of the disguise, she hated it. Especially the colourful shorts, tops and neon socks. Even the white and green trainers.
Lex talked of running away then, it consumed her, that maybe the Circle had stopped looking for her. Which wasn't true. I even caught her packing her suitcase and trying to leave. Even then she hadn't actually left, she would never do that.
But I guess I kind of understood, when I found out that Townsend was my dad I took it badly, but not that badly. I wondered why she reacted how she did. Though, I didn't have to find new homes and lives every couple of months. She had a right to be mad, I supposed.
Mrs Morgan was having hushed talked with both of Macey's parents and they eventually left. That I was thankful for, the school looked better when it was back to it's former spy glory. Especially because now Macey didn't act like a spoil little girl.
"Cam!" I called to her. She turned to me with blue worried eyes. "Why did you let her go?" I asked. Cammie shrugged, her hair bobbing as she did.
"She can do what she wants Zach." She told me. i gritted my teeth, so she had let her leave. "She's our age, and she's been doing this for years." I knew that, I'd helped her, but I didn't dare say.
"Cam, Alexa needs to belong somewhere." I looked towards the main door, teachers were stood outside, wondering where Lex had go. Cammie looked irritated and folded her arms over her chest.
"Maybe she doesn't Zach!" She told me angrily. "This is who she is, a lone wolf, she doesn't mix well with others. That's not our fault!" Mr Soloman stepped up, his face was grim.
"No, it's mine." He admitted and put his hands in his face. "I shouldn't have left, she'd have been safer in here than out there where the Circle are looking for her. Again, all my fault." Cammie sighed and looked at him.
"Maybe it is." She snapped and stormed off. Joe looked surprised by her attitude, but at the same time, it looked like he understood her feelings. I decided to follow her.
"Damn it, Cammie." I breathed when I caught up to her in the library, she was sitting cross legged on the floor, staring off into space. "What the hell was that?"
"I don't know." She sighed. "I didn't mean to snap at Joe, but I... It's weird okay, it's like I know how she feels." Cammie lay back on the bean bag chair.
"Maybe you're just mad a Joe. He's now your dad, sort of. Anyway, my point is, maybe you're mad that he lied to you and your mum about having a daughter." I said and lay down next to her. I held her hand. She shook her head.
"No, as mad as I am at Joe. I know it's Alexa, there's something about her." Cammie trailed off and took a deep breath. "My head hurts thinking about it. let's talk about something else." I nodded and thought. Then I said the cheesiest thing that came to mind.
"So, come here often." I flashed a grin that Bex said I did all the time and Cammie snorted.
"You are crazy." She told me with a smirk.
"Spy." I tapped my nose and kissed her on the lips. "Alexa will be fine." I told her, she nodded, though I doubt she was listening to me.
"I just can't help wonder where she is." Cammie wondered and put her hand behind her head. She was beautiful, I thought.
"You've only known her for what, half a day." I blurted, then I froze. That was a bit too harsh. Cammie gave me a deadly stare, but it faded quickly.
"I know." She said sternly and looked up at the light on the ceiling. "But I feel like I've known her longer, like we have a connection." She didn't make much sense to me but I went along with it.
"Maybe it's because you're both Gallagher Girls, not just by right like most of them. But blood. You both have spy parents." I wasn't getting through to her, not one bit. Cammie was in her own world now, she wouldn't listen to me. Whatever I said. That's what I loved about her.
Cammie stood up and opened up her secret passage way that lead out the mansion. "I need to find her." She decided. Like I could stop her.
"Let me come." I stood up and walked to her. She pushed me back and shook her head.
"It's just a feeling." Cammie started. Here we go again. I almost rolled my eyes. "I have to go alone Zach, please." I stepped back and put my hands up in surrender.
"Fine." I said. "But be back soon, your mum will kill me if she knows I let you leave." Cammie smiled.
"Course." She blew me a kiss and shut the passage. I was left standing alone in the library.
Mrs Morgan was going to have my head for this.
A/N: Hope you like it! Going to do a few more over the next few days as well!
