A/N: Next chapter now! 2/5 that makes! :)
Seth POV
I was such an idiot! Kissing her like that! What was I thinking? Zach was sooo going to kill me, or at least give me an ear full. I couldn't wriggle out of it with excuses, how could I? I could say that she kissed me or that it was all in the moment, but they both sounded dreadful.
With I sigh I pushed open the Hospital door and looked around to see if I could find the others. None of whom were there. But I could have sworn I saw... It didn't matter, finding Cammie and Zach mattered at the moment. Maybe Bex and Macey too, that might give me some bonus points and not be so far down the bad list. I was pretty sure even Alexa was annoyed at me now. Perfect.
There was an average looking woman up at reception, she wore a blank expression on her face as she flicked through her magazine. Her name tag said 'Sue'. She wore he short curly redish hair back in a bobble. Plus, she looked friendly enough.
"Excuse me." I said politely. She looked up at me and smiled.
"Hi, love." Sue said. "Is there anything I can help you with?" I thought.
"Is there anyone here under there name of..." I trailed off. Alias'! I had forgotten about them. He used to have the nickname 'Hider' in Blackthorn, so I guessed at something Hider. Now... Joseph Hider sprung to mind, he was all ways following Soloman around.
"Of..?" She asked.
"Joseph Hider?" I had no clue what Cammie would have called herself.
Sue checked it up. "Yes, we have a Joseph Hider, he collapsed earlier this hour." I breathed.
"I need to see him." I blurted.
"Are you family, we already have a father in there." She said.
"Brother, actually. Alex Hider." Alexa was the first name on my mind. Sue nodded, writing down the room number. I checked the white square clock impatiently, snatching the note off of her when she handed it over.
"Bye." She said, but I was already running to the stairs, taking 2 at a time.
I felt the impact before I saw what hit me, it was Zach. What? He was topless, wearing hospital trousers. A bandage around his ribs. There was shouts above us.
"What the hell?" I demanded.
"I..." He panted. "Need to find Cammie... Now.." I looked up the stairs to see doctors and nurses calling after him, but they were shouting Joseph and Mr. Hider.
"Come on." I hoisted Zach onto my shoulder and ran back down the way I'd came. "Where's Anna, and Townsend?" He took a deep breath and said in a whisper voice.
"They're gone, I sent them out the back." He told me. I ran faster, to the front door, not looking back. Everything else forgotten.
Just as I reached the door, 2 men stepped in the way. When I turned to double back, 2 more men, all armed with guns in their holsters, blocked me and Zach again.
"We can't let you take him." I spun around to face who'd spoken, a man with short cropped ginger hair and cloudy grey eyes.
"I need to take him. He's okay." I snapped back, calculating my chances each way, 35% roughly, maybe more out the back, they'd expect us to go for the front door, easiest way out. I licked my dry lips. 35% chance was as good as anything. Everyone was fleeing the front room, even Sue, probably to call the police.
"He's not well enough." I turned again to look at a man with spiky black hair and grey eyes, they all had grey eyes.
"It's just the drugs, they'll wear off." I told him defiantly. A blonde man laughed from behind me, again, I looked back, this was confusing me.
"Yes, but in a few hours, why don't you stay till then. There's no telling when they're wear off. " He, unlike the others, already had his gun down at his side. Finger itching on the trigger, he wanted to kill me. Zach laughed quietly from my shoulder.
"They already have." Zach whispered. I cursed myself for carrying him, when he might have been perfectly find, but then again, he was probably too weak. Even now I bet he could only stand and fire a gun, with adequate aim.
The last man to speak, a man with gelled back black hair, smirked at me. "Give up, it's over. We have you. How are you going to get away, in that battered up van." Alexa. My head screamed. Zach tensed.
"You left he alone." He cursed, I shrugged, it was all I could do.
"It works." I said, trying to act casual. "I'll admit, it does need minor work." I glanced behind the 2 black haired men, looking for ways out the back. That's when I saw the figure, she was covered in blood but there was no doubt about it, she was Macey, and Macey was armed. She held a gun to her side and she had another in her belt. With her free hand she put it to her lips, shushing me. I had to stall.
The second black haired man drew his gun and pointed it at me, I felt the weight of mine in my pocket.
"Guess your times up." He grinned.
"So, now you're going to kill me." I stated.
"Yep." The blonde man confirmed.
"Okay." It was now or never, I threw Zach off my shoulders, ignoring the pain as he hit the floor. I drew my gun at the man.
"Drop it." The ginger said, I felt the cold end of the gun digging in between my shoulder blades. Perfect. I didn't lower my gun though. Macey looked alarmed.
I saw Zach on the grown going for Gingers leg, but that would mean he'd shoot as soon as he realised he was falling, making the buller go through my brain. Which would be unpleasant. Everyone was focused on me. So they didn't notice Macey walking as quiet as a mouse down the empty corridor, both guns in each hand, pointed at the men.
Then the guns fired.
