A/N: Sorry for the late chapter, have been doing other things and forgot about this!
Alexa POV
The house was exactly how I remembered it, except for the fact that there was a bloody hand print on the door handle. I gulped from where I sat in the drivers seat and switched off the headlights. "Guys...?" I asked. Cammie nodded, she'd seen it to. I reached for my gun and clicked it back, it sounded like an echo, I was out of bullets. "Damn." I swore, drawing a small pocket knife from my boot. I guess this would have to do, for now.
"I'll open the back." Zach gestured, "you two head to the door." We agreed. Zach left first, as silent as a mouse, me and Cammie waited. We heard the back open and hushed voices, then we got out. I left first, snatching up a torch from the glove compartment, Cammie followed, gun in hand. I did hand gestures to indicate that I would go first, she gave a thumbs up. Seth appeared at my side, bags under his tired eyes, a loaded gun in his hand. I flashed the torch towards the door, inside was dark.
I felt light headed and tired, there had been far too much fighting and death. I pushed open the door slowly, my boots treading lightly on the muddy carpet. Seth licked his lips and reached for the light switch to my left. The lights flared on, and Townsend was standing in the end of the hall. I breathed out in relief. "Tell the others." I told Seth, putting my knife back in my shoe and turning off my torch. "God am I glad to see you." I told him. He gave a faint smile.
"We thought you were the Circle. Liz and Anna are in the kitchen, Liz still isn't too well." He informed me. I nodded, which made my head ache. Bex and Macey appeared by my side.
"Where's Liz and Anna?" Bex asked, Townsend told them and they practically ran to the kitchen. I wished I had friends like that. Cammie also came in, sweating and pushing her hair back.
"Where-" She started. I leaned again the wall and breathed hard.
"Kitchen." I said, she bolted. So did Zach when he arrived, Seth shut the door behind us. I scrunched my eyes. "Do you have a shower?" I asked Townsend, he pointed to the stairs.
"First door on the right." Then he walked off. I headed for the blue carpeted stairs and headed up, the last time
I'd had a shower was to get rid of my disguise as Kellie, that seemed like a life time ago. I shouldn't feel this way, I'm way too young, but spies never have that kind of luxury.
I opened the white door, accidentally leaving a blood smudge on the handle. I made a promise to clean that later. Turning on the shower I stripped off my horrible uniform. It stung and made me wince. The hot water from the shower head steamed up the quite spacious cream coloured room, so I open a small window. I dumped my clothes in a pile to my right, I'd probably just burn them later. The make shift bandage that Cammie fastened for me was soaked with fresh blood, I painfully unwound it from my arm and binned it. Soon I stood just shivering in various different peoples blood, I hated my life.
The shower wasn't welcoming, it burned my flesh and made my wounds explode with pain. But I didn't move. I stood watching the blood, water and tears wash down the drain. I ran my hands through my hair, washing away the dirt, till you could actually tell I was blonde. Was this really all that there was in my life? Was this all I was destined to be? A beaten up girl with no life, constantly hunted and attacked? Left battered and afraid with no where to go?
I turned and punched the white tiled wall behind me, my hand ached but I didn't care. I got out the shower and wrapped myself in a fluffy pink towel, turning off the shower I sank to the floor and cried. I didn't care who could hear me. All I could do was cry.
There was a slight knock on the door, "Alexa?" It was Seth.
"Go away." I cried. "Just leave me alone."
"I have some clothes for you, Townsend told me to bring them up." He sighed loudly. "Please Alexa." I stood up on sore legs and opened the door a crack to take the clothes. Seth looked away at the sight of me in a towel, and stepped away. "I'll see you in a bit."
I shut the door and looked at the clothes. A black vest top, a dark green zip up jacket and a pair of black leggings. Followed by stripy socks and dark pink running shoes. There was also a hair brush.
I put on my clothes and brushed my hair till it hurt. Then I tied it up in a bun and headed for the door. I paused, did i want to go down there? Was it worth it?I thought back to what Zach said '...come with us, become a Gallagher Girl and be who you really are...' This is who I am. And it is who I'm always going to be.
