Seth POV

Jack? Who even was this guy? It seemed stupid to put our faith in a guy we didn't know. Yeah, Alexa knew him, but so what? He didn't sound happy over the phone, and Zach didn't seem to want to go through with it. It was probably something that they did back before they came here. God I sounded jealous.

We turned a corner and parked outside an old cafe that looked like it was renovated from a Victorian cottage. The engine stopped and Alexa looked at me and Bex. "Are you sure about this?" I asked. Bex looked like she shared my concern.

"Please, I know what I'm going. Kind of." She opened up her bag and took out a boot knife, putting it in her shoe.

"And that's for what exactly?" Bex asked, raising one eye brow suspiciously. Alexa shrugged.

"Safety precautions." She climbed out of the van, hoisting her bag onto her back. I shared a look with Bex before climbing out.

"We're coming to." Bex gestured to me and her. Alexa shook her head, which just made Bex frown in annoyance. "Fine, we'll just follow you. Come on Alexa, you need back up." Alexa grumbled something under her breath, but in the end she nodded. I felt behind me, making sure my gun was still stuck in the waist band of my jeans. Bex pulled her hair back and stuck a small knife into her boots.

The back doors opened and Anna's head poked through. "Are you good to go?" All three of us nodded in unison.

"Pack up and ditch the van." I heard Cammie say from inside. Zach jumped out.

"You sure you'll be okay?" He asked. Alexa rolled her eyes as if to say: Duh, stop treating me like a child. But actually she voiced,

"Positive." He mumbled something about last time and jumped back in, helping Liz to clean out. Turning around we headed around the back of the old Cafe, which was called something like Castors Coffee House. I was hardly paying attention though, my eyes kept scanning everything around me, looking for signs of a tail. Alexa and Bex were probably doing the same thing.

Alexa took lead, Bex in the middle and I took the back, just in case. Alexa went first, she disappeared around the back for about 10 seconds before telling us to follow. We found a boy sat against the wall, listening to music on his ipod. He stopped when he saw us.

He smirked at Alexa, with a mix of amusement and cruelty. "Blonde? Who'd have thought." He said, then he noticed us. "More friends to beat me up?" He got up from the wall and slipped his ipod into his brown jacket pocket. He had chocolatey coloured close cut hair, big almond coloured eyes and dark skin. I wouldn't say he was good looking, more impish. He wasn't very well built, more thin than anything else.

"This is Bex and this is Seth." She introduced us. I nodded to him, but he just scowled.

"Where's your bodyguard?" He said sourly. Alexa clenched her jaw, it took me a second to realise he meant Zach. "Or is this your new one? Boyfriend maybe?" I could hear the annoyance in his tone, he looks he was giving to her. She looked like she was about to break. "Come on Alexa, say something. No hi, how are you? Or how long were you in hospital? How long did the police question me? Anything?!" He practically yelled the last bit, she looked close to tears.

"Cut it out." I snapped. "We didn't come here so you could prove some kind of point to Alexa, we need your help." Jack's words froze in his mouth, I could be intimidating at times, I've been told. Alexa swallowed and gave me a silent thank you.

"Boyfriend then." He whistled. "And you told him your name, makes a change." I almost punched the guy.

"No, not my boyfriend." She said. "Jack, I asked for your help, and you came. So don't be a jerk, and actually help us." He shrugged. I was tempted to take out my gun and threaten him, but I didn't. Alexa hopefully knew what she was doing.

"We need wheels." Bex said. "Enough space for about 8 people and a bunch of equiptment." Jack looked to her.

"Sure, I could get you that." He said.

"Will you?" Alexa asked.

"At a price." He said with a grin. She exhaled. Bex clenched her fists. What was with this guy? He was being so pathetic.

"Oh for the love of-" I began, Alexa grabbed my arm.

"Jack, this is insane." She said, pinching the bridge of her nose and closing her blue eyes. He looked like he was going to laugh.

"I don't know what's going on, or who is after you. But frankly I don't care, this is your business, not mine. The last time I got involved I ended up in hospital, surrounded by the police!" Jack yelled angrily. Alexa's eyes flared, I took a safe step back, so did Bex.

"You called them genius! If you hadn't, you wouldn't have been in the hospital!" She yelled. Jack didn't back down.

"You know," Bex said, it looked like she'd figured something out, but I didn't know what. "Zach is back there, just in the car park, we could get him..." The colour seemed to drain from his face. I smiled. "Unless you want to go back to the hospital again, I suggest you help us. Now." I took by gun out from behind me and put it just in his view at my side.

"You people are crazy, the lot of you." He took a few deep breaths. "Fine, I'll get you a van, whatever. Then we're done, okay Lena, no more." he caught himself at the name. "Alexa, sorry." He said. Alexa's eyes softened a bit. Helena, that's what she had called herself here.

"Done." She said.

"Okay then, let's go."

A/N: So sorry for the long wait, been busy with my holidays :)
