Someone
TWELVE people reviewed?! O.o I know it's 'cause I took my time, but still! Shocking! D: I'm sorry I didn't respond! DX But hey, I figured, a month went by. :( So, I'm very disappointed in myself. DX
I'm sorry, writer's block is a pain in the arse. He came back and wouldn't leave. He finally stepped out, thank god. XD
BUT... in my other story(Technological Advancement) someone flamed. And it pissed me off to no end. And surprise, surprise! It was a Guest Reviewer! :D Seriously, are people losing their balls and just reviewing as guests to complain? 'Cause that's all some of the Guest Reviewers(except most) seem to do. Is complain about something in the story they don't like and not give any advice to what they think needs work in the story.
It annoys me to no end. XP
And my math came in, I'm just waiting for my calculator so I can work on it. There's a calculator online that I can use, but... I'm a little lazy. XD
Disclaimer – I do not own Bleach.
Warning – Swearing.

There was nothing but silence, everyone staring at the shocked man. The eight behind him were all staring at the scientist, each and every one looking in disbelief and awe. How smart was this guy? The man himself looked relaxed and only grinned when he saw how quiet they were from the news. The Taichos' reactions varied, from shock, to amusement, and lastly indifference. Everyone jumped when the twins jumped and whooped, throwing their arms into the air as they grinned. Zenaku turned and gave them an irritated glare, the only concern he was having was if this "solution" would hurt the kind man.
"Eh? Ya don't look very happy there," Shinji commented, arms crossed over his chest while he raised his eyebrows and frowned in curiosity. "Isn't this good news?"
Tetsuya jolted, giving a shaky smile. "O-Of course it is! It's just that..." He furrowed his eyebrows and closed his eyes, still smiling and looking very amazed. "I've been in pain for... a long time that I'm almost used to it."
The statement caused every single person in the room to go quiet and stare at the man closely, seeing him raise a hand and place it on his chest. The tall man let out a shaky laugh, staring at the floor and looking very astonished. Shaking his head lightly he looked up and gave the scientist a warm smile, opening his mouth and laughing lightly.
"How... How would we go about... fixing this?" He still sounded astonished, more emotion in his voice than the entire time he's been out.
"The solution is actually very simple," Kurotsuchi kept an air of professionalism around himself, seeing the group blink in surprise. "The cause of the breakdown... is also simple."
"Hold on, simple?" Zenaku pulled a face and rose an eyebrow, arms crossed over his chest.
"Yes, it's actually not surprising that you did not see it," Kurotsuchi looked in the middle of the room as he walked forward, lifting a finger to bring up the hologram. "As you can see—"
"HOLY SHIT!" Renzo gawked at the hologram, his comrades stumbling back from the strange sight. "The fuck is that?!" He pointed at the transparent hologram.
The reaction puzzled the group of Taichos' before they realized that the only pieces of technology they had seen were the screens in the sky. Kurotsuchi rolled his eyes before he briefly explained what was in the room, receiving stunned stares in return before they glanced warily at the hologram. The only one in the group that wasn't reacting like the others was Nikito, who stared dryly and in silence.
"You were saying?" Nikito called out, sending the Taicho a flat stare. "My schedule today is very busy."
Everyone glanced at him.
"Doing what?" Nojima asked.
"Trying to run away from the Kobayashi twins," Nikito deadpanned, receiving stunned stares from his comrades. "So, if we may?" He held up a hand for the scientist to continue.
"As I said, the reason for the breakdown is very simple," Kurotsuchi said, bringing up a dark image of the tall man. The group blinked in surprise before they glanced between their leader and the image. "I imagine the pain started in your chest?" He asked, seeing the tall man slowly nod. "Reta happens to be a very special person."
"...Is he callin' him stupid?" Shinji murmured, quirking a brow and glancing at the grey haired Taicho.
Kensei frowned. "How should I know?"
"He has a primary and secondary reiatsu," Every person in the room looked at the man in surprise, with the exception of Tetsuya. Who only tilted his head and blinked. "The primary is his own reiatsu, one he was born with. The secondary reiatsu is the one he inherited from his family. The interesting thing about the secondary reiatsu is that small parts of it belong to dozens of individuals."
"We know that," Kyoraku said, lifting his hat and smiling. "Wasn't that explained to us before?"
"Yes, it was, but that's not what captured my attention," Kurotsuchi glanced at the hologram as it changed, growing closer to the dark image. Red and blur swirls travelled all over the body. "The secondary reiatsu is very large, which is why it makes Reta a very powerful man."
Tetsuya blinked and tried waving away the 'powerful' comment. "The Soutaicho is still stronger than me."
"Hush," The scientist sent him a glare, receiving a smile in return. "His primary reiatsu would be close to a Taicho's level." He ignored the low whistle that came from Shinji. "Now the reason his body is breaking down is not because the reiatsu is attacking his body."
"...He's lost me." Zenaku mumbled, seeing the others nod.
"In fact, I suppose you could say his secondary reiatsu is trying to jump start," He received nothing but puzzled stares. He sighed and rolled his eyes, as if he were surrounded by nothing but stupid people. "His reiatsu could be considered... fire," He let out a groan at the explanation. "In order for the fire to keep burning it needs wood, but if left as it is it could burn out."
Ichirou blinked before he slowly quirked a brow. "...What?"
Kurotsuchi sent him a harsh glare. "Are you saying that his reiatsu has stopped flowing?" Everyone turned their heads to see Rina staring at the man with wide eyes.
"Yes," He sounded relieved that someone was finally getting it. "Unconsciously, everyone is using their reiatsu twenty-four seven, for as long as they live. The only time a person's reiatsu may die out is when they... die." He shrugged lightly before the image switched in the hologram to show reiatsu flowing through the body. "But since Reta is not using the secondary reiatsu just as much, which is understandable as it is not his own, the flow is starting to die down. Which is what is affecting his body in turn."
"Hold on!" Ichirou stepped forward, looking very bewildered. "The only reason Joshi's body is breaking down is because... he's not using his reiatsu?!"
"Yes," Kurotsuchi said, giving a nod. "As I said, a very simple reason."
"So, he just needs to use his reiatsu?" Kensei's eyebrow rose, crossing his arms and glancing at the image. "Well, just unlock that restraint and he can use it."
"It's not that easy," Kurotsuchi said, turning to silently tell the man to shut it, which earned him a glare. "As you had seen before, his body had started breaking down ten minutes after releasing the reiatsu. He would only have a ten minute window to cycle all the reiatsu from generations of ancestors."
"Whoa," Reizo furrowed his brows and turned to stare at his brother. "Now that we're hearing how Joshi can use his reiatsu again after so long... it's almost surreal." Everyone in the group slowly nodded in agreement.
"He would need to recycle every particle of reiatsu that resides inside of him," Kurotsuchi glanced at the hologram as it changed once more. "The only way I could see him cycling it all is through fighting. But I found another solution that would cause him less pain."
Tetsuya started laughing. "I haven't fought seriously since..." He blinked and looked up in thought. "...I can't remember." A blank smile crossed his face, which gained him dry looks. "But I would like the take the second option."
Kurotsuchi reached into his sleeve after nodding, eyes narrowed in concentration.
"That is another issue to our meeting," Yamamoto opened his eyes and stared at the group, seeing them turn to stare at him in question. "The last fight you all have had left you defenceless." He cut off the group when they opened their mouths to yell that they were not defenceless. "If you wish to be more prepared for the next fight, then we will be giving you the advantage. The intruders came unexpectedly, as we had not anticipated them lifting the gate."
"...Is he saying what I think he's saying?" Zenaku asked, eyes slightly wide before he glanced at the others. They all glanced at one another before staring at the old man intensely.
The Soutaicho hit the floor with his cane, eyes once again squinted as he looked up to stare at the group. A few moments later the doors opened, everyone turning to stare at the double doors in curiosity. All Tetsuya did was narrow his eyes a fraction at the sight. Ukitake and Kyroaku turned to smile at each other when the group was suddenly shocked into silence when they saw nine people walk into the room with weapons in their hands.
Their weapons.
"I apologized for absolutely nothing!"
Kaori and Kayo stayed silent, as they always did when Riko raved, watching as she paced around the tiny room while she waved her arms. They had gone to see each other, which was a usual occurrence when they wanted to rant about something. Mostly Riko. The redhead and blonde just stayed quiet while the raven haired one screamed her frustrations. Now she—Wait? Zaraki did what?
"And he didn't just push me against the wall, no!" Riko snarled, punching the wall and yelping when it hurt her hand. She held her hand as she paced once more. "He started grinding against me and tried tempting me to have sex! In the middle of the street! In broad fuckin' daylight! I'm tellin' ya it was a friggin' mistake telling him I wanted to have sex with him!"
"Oooh, kinky." Kaori snickered, holding her hands up when the taller woman turned to send her a glare. "But seriously, if we didn't break up with them, would you have taken the offer?"
Kaori and Kayo leaned forward, eyes wide with wonder while Riko gawked at them.
"Fuck no!" Riko shook her fist, glaring down at the redhead. "I would never, in a billion fuckin' years, have sex in the street!"
Someone started pounding on the wall for them to be quiet.
"SHUT UP!" Riko kicked the wall, scowling before she sat down and sent her two friends a frown. "Now, your turn."
Right away, Kaori put her face in her hands. "I couldn't get him to leave me!" Kayo and Riko paused, glancing at each other in confusion. Were they supposed to comfort her or say something else? "He deserves to be with his wife instead of me. But then... all he ended up doing was making me happy." She let out a sigh, eyebrows furrowed slightly.
"Well, then... he'd be dead, won't he?" Riko was still frowning. Wasn't Kaori suppose to be jumping with joy? She received a confused look from the redhead. "If he deserved to be with his wife, then he'd be dead to be with her."
"...I know," Kaori slowly looked to the side and frowned. "But... I don't get why I want to be with him... and I want him to get away from me." She crossed her arms and scowled. "And it pisses me off!" She growled, throwing her arms into the air as she curled her lip.
Sometimes she just wanted to punch that smug son of a bitch's face.
That is, if he stood still.
Kayo blinked when they both turned towards her. "Um... I'm fine."
"C'mon, ya gotta have something to complain about?" Riko scowled, arms crossed over her chest while the blonde furrowed her eyebrows and looked up to think.
"I... don't like... how he... always works!" Kayo looked up and nodded with a frown.
"Uh... Well... Yeah... sure..." Riko turned to the redhead, shrugging with a confused look on her face.
"Yeeeah," Kaori tightened her lips and gave a grin next. "So... he's mean?"
"Yes!" The frown grew. "I don't like it when he gets mad!"
Slowly, wide grins started to spread across their faces when they saw the anger start to grow in their little friend. Let the anger out~!
The one to move first, strangely... was Nojima.
He narrowed his eyes slightly and walked out of the line, heading straight for his zanpakuto. His eyes never left his weapon, reaching out and grasping it with a flash of his eyes. A strange look passed his face before he unsheathed the blade just a fraction, staring at the katana before he held it out and put it through his sash. He turned, heading back for the line with the same neutral expression that was normally on his face. Though, he glanced briefly at the line of Taichos...
...and smirked.
Some of the high seated officers blinked in astonishment. Were their eyes playing with them or did he almost look... a little crazy right there? Shiko let out a low whistle, raising his eyebrows slightly.
"Hoh, Nojima, do you really think you can take on a Taicho right now?" Shiko chuckled lightly and moved to retrieve his blade. "Or are you just excited since it's been a while since you've let go?"
"I will admit, the thought of fighting a Taicho is..." Nojima narrowed his eyes and smirked. "Intoxicating." He unconsciously placed a hand across the scabbard of his sword.
"Dumbass, it's talk like that that even set that little bitch off 'bout us!" Zenaku snapped, glaring down at the blonde while he walked towards his sword.
Soi Fon sent him a scornful stare.
The twins grabbed their swords and squealed in happiness, spinning around the room while they held their swords. Rina grabbed hers, giving a grin when her reiatsu familiarized with the blade. Ichirou grabbed his zanpakuto and put it through his sash, giving a deadly smirk at the thought of finally fighting with it. Tetsuya walked towards his sword, staring at it before he smiled and grabbed it. He held the zanpakuto with care, eyes growing more warm when he heard a voice only he could hear.
"Thank you, Soutaicho," Tetsuya bowed towards the man and smiled brightly. "I hope you have not misplaced what ever little trust you have in us."
"Odds are, Joshi, they do not trust us at all." Nikito said, staring ahead with a blank look before he turned his head to stare at his blade.
"I know." The smile didn't leave his face.
"Yeah, I feel like I can take on a fuckin' army!" Renzo held up his arms and grinned, jumping and turning to point at the Taichos'. "Come at me!" He received nothing but dry looks from the group, some even scoffing.
Ichirou scoffed. "As if you can take on thirteen Taichos." He placed his hands on his hips, eyes slightly narrowed.
"I so can!" Renzo turned and sent him a glare. "Have you forgotten two years ago?"
"Yeah, we all helped," Zenaku said, fixing his sword and sash so it was more comfortable. "All you little shits did was hold off on the forces."
The twins gasped dramatically, holding their hands over their mouths and staring wide-eyed at the scarred man. Their eyes filled with tears, both whimpering at the same time their lips started trembling. Zenaku gave them a levelled stare, not reacting when tears started running down their faces. All he did was groan and roll his eyes, turning away in time to see Nikito standing in front of his sword. The scarred man paused, raising an eyebrow when the grey haired man reached out slowly.
Only for his hand to stop a couple inches.
He narrowed his eyes slightly, letting out a resigned sigh and grabbed his zanpakuto. He turned, walking back towards the line with blank eyes. He ignored the whistling he heard from his katana.
"Aw, look happier, honey~!" Renzo held out his hands and gave a wide grin, seeing the grey haired man stop and turn to send him a dry look. "My wife can't look sad. You look so much more beautiful when you're happy~!" He used his index fingers to draw an invisible smile across his mouth.
Nikito's eye twitched, hands shaking in anger before he huffed loudly and walked back to the line. The twins started snickering, both yelping when Ichirou and Zenaku smacked the backs of their heads.
"Miserable... sons of a bitches..." Renzo muttered, rubbing his head with a pout.
Tetsuya leaned forward, furrowing his brows and panting lightly while his skin flushed. Zenaku paused and looked towards the tall man, seeing him give a tired smile as he looked up. Kurotsuchi also saw the action, including the Taicho of the fourth division, narrowing his eyes slightly and scoffing.
"Ah... is that all for this meeting?" Tetsuya asked.
"No," Kurotsuchi finally found what he was looking for, pulling out a small, orange trinket. Everyone stared at the item, comparing it to a bracelet. Small square holes were seen all around the trinket, frowns crossing everyone's face at the unusual design. "This will help cycle your reiatsu, painlessly."
"Ah, really~?" Tetsuya gave a bright smile. He blinked a couple times. "...How?"
Kurotsuchi gave him a flat stare. "I won't explain." He walked forward, making the grey haired man blink before his wrist was grabbed. He watched as the scientist wrapped the bracelet around his wrist.
A flash lit up at the tip of Kurotsuchi's finger, pressing it against the restraint. It unwrapped itself from Tetsuya's wrist, which caused him to widen his eyes and stumble back. The grey haired man grabbed at his wrist, blinking when nothing happened for long moments before a relieved smile crossed his face. His hands shook.
"So how does the doohickey work?" Renzo piped up, giving a wide grin.
Kurotsuchi sent him an unamused stare. "The... doohickey... is filtering his reiatsu," He was met with bewildered gazes. "I suppose you can say this device is recycling his reiatsu." These pests were starting to get on his nerves, but at least they understood the meaning.
"Will it harm him?" Nojima asked, blank eyes staring at the man.
"It shouldn't," Kurotsuchi turned around to head back for the line, waving his hand dismissively. "But if it does, bring him to my building and I will fix it."
"Filter...?" Tetsuya raised his wrist and stared at the device with a smile. "So when is it supposed to wor..." Small tendrils of reiatsu flowed through the crevices, the man blinking when he felt something off. The group jumped and blinked at the same time their eyes flashed red.
Meanwhile, Tetsuya started swaying, swirls appearing in his eyes before he fell over.
Still smiling.
Everyone's eyes snapped wide open.
"Joshi!" Renzo cried out, both brother bounding over towards the man and lifting him up. The other's reached the man, all staring at him in shock. "What's wrong, Joshi?! Ya shouldn't have fuckin' walked if ya were sick!" He shook the man as hard as he could, which earned him a slap to the back of the head.
"I-I'm fine," Tetsuya waved his hand, pushing himself slowly to a stand. "I just... got a little light-headed."
"That reaction is normal," Kurotsuchi said, giving a nod when the group turned to stare at him. "The device is set to release large amounts of reiatsu every once in a while to speed the process up. Which would make Reta light-headed in the process."
The group relaxed, soon blinking when Tetsuya swayed once more, swirls once more appearing in his eyes before he fell over...
...In Shiko's direction.
The brunette's eyes grew large before he frowned and furrowed his brows. "Oh-no..."
A large 'thump' sounded in the room when Tetsuya landed on Shiko, the brunette flailing before he tried clawing his way out from under the heavy mass that was his leader. Everyone stared, not really doing anything even when the man gasped desperately for breath. Tetsuya was a little out of it, not even realizing he had landed on someone.
"...I'm a little torn between wantin' ta help," Ichirou held up a hand and shrugged with a smirk. "...or just watchin' Shiko panic."
"You ass!"
The twins gave a dramatic gasp. "He swore!" The shook their heads as if they were disappointed.
Yamamoto frowned.
It was time to end this meeting.
"Seika, seriously?"
"What?"
"You do realize that... the guy probably doesn't even like you, right?"
"Don't worry, I'll make him like me!"
"Oh, yeah... yeah, that's right," Renta rolled his eyes and snorted as he trailed after his sister. "People can make other people make them like them. Yeah... yeah, sounds legit." He shook his head and sighed, both walking through the hallways of the first division. "Seika, are you sure you like this guy? There's tons of other guys out there, like... Hisagi fukutaicho!" He sent his sister a wide grin.
"He's handsome, but... no."
"Why not?" He placed his hands and his hips and scowled.
"'Cause he's not exciting, I don't know how to explain it!" She turned to glare at her tall brother, seeing him cross his arms and pout. "If you were me, then you'd know what I mean!"
"Yeah, yeah, sure," Renta nodded, rolling his eyes. "Ya live for the thrill of life and want to get in the pants of a madman. Yeah, I get it."
Seika scowled.
"I hope you are alright, Joshi."
Nikito stared up at the tall man, seeing him give a smile and nod. He stumbled to the side, holding up his hands when everyone moved to try and catch him. Though Shiko turned to run. Tetsuya turned to bow towards the Taichos, standing straight to give a warm smile. He turned, heading for the exit so he could... lay down. He felt strange. Once more he became disoriented, stumbling to the side and staying still in case he fell over again.
"He's not gettin' hurt, but he's more clumsy than usual," Ichirou commented, arms crossed over his chest with a frown plastered on his face. "Are we even sure that thing'll work?"
"No, but what other choice do we have?" Rina asked, giving a smile when their leader fanned his face.
"So, Nikito," Renzo walked over to the man, seeing him turn and give him a glare. "Wanna hang out? We found this amazin' room with all kinds of food that hasn't been-"
"No," Nikito turned away, heading for the exit with stern look on his face. "I do not want anything to do with you."
The twins blinked before they glanced at one another and scowled. "But-"
"Unless Joshi orders me to 'hang out' with you, I would rather jump off a cliff." Nikito walked past everyone with his head held high, eyes facing forward.
They blinked once more, turning their gazes to stare at the disoriented man. They shared a look before their eyes gleamed.
"Joshi~!" The tall, grey haired man turned and gave them a goofy smile. "Can we play with Nikito~!" Renzo jumped and gave a wide grin. "He said we need your permission!"
Nikito tensed and turned to glare at them. Surely they didn't think Joshi would—
"Of course~!" Tetsuya gave a bright smile. "Just don't be mean to each other~!" He stumbled as he tried heading for the door.
The others stopped walking, staring at the horror-stricken man. Nikito's jaw hung open, staring at the terror twins as if he were traumatized. Renzo and Reizo turned their heads slowly, wide grins starting to grow on their faces. Zenaku snorted and smirked at Shiko, seeing the man smiling in amusement. Nikito ran towards their leader and stood in front of him, eyes wide.
"Joshi, you can't be serious! I would rather die than spend any time with the twins! I would rather—" He paused, blinking when he saw the look in their leader's face. "You knew he's not in the correct state of mind!" He turned to glare at them.
"Yeah, but he did give permission." Renzo admitted, giving a wide grin with his brother.
Nikito's eyes grew wide, seeing the twins stalking towards them as if he were the prey and they were the predators. In a moment, he was clawing at the floor while the twins dragged him towards the door by his legs. He yelled at them to let go, trying to grab anything to hold onto. At one point he grabbed Zenaku's leg, screaming hysterically at Tetsuya to order them to cease their actions. The twins started grinning as he was dragged out of the room.
"...Should we help him?" Zenaku asked, turning to stare at the others.
"Eh, he needs to spend some time with 'em," Ichirou shrugged with a look that said he didn't care in the least. "They managed to get him out of his shell, while his friends that still live here couldn't get one friggin' reaction out of him. I say he's better off with Renzo and Reizo than anyone else."
"Plus, he's being tortured by them." Shiko turned and smirked.
"That, too."
They walked out of the room, Ichirou sending Kenpachi a glower the entire time while Tetsuya managed to get out of the room.
Only to fall over.
On some random guy.
"Alright, so... we don't have to worry about Joshi anymore, right?" Ichirou turned to stare at the others, seeing them shake their heads while their leader laid in bed with a dizzy look in his eyes.
"We should monitor him, just in case," Nojima said as he stepped forward. "That Taicho said there is a chance the device around Joshi's wrist could malfunction. Though that chance is small, I do not want to risk it." He turned, seeing their temporary leader nod. "I will take first watch."
"Yeah, an' the twins'll have the next," Ichirou frowned and looked at the door. "Where the hell did they even take Nikito, anyway?"
"I dunno," Zenaku shrugged while he rolled his shoulders. "I don't know about you, but I just wanna trai—"
A series of knocks hit the door, which made them pause before they glanced at the exit. Ichirou frowned and walked towards it, sliding it open and narrowing his eyes when he saw who it was. Eyes started to grow wide, both third seats starting to grin at the dark glare they received. Renta started nudging Seika's side, trying to tempt her to say something before... the Hulk here tried to tear them apart or something. Ah, yeah, he remembered when he first stumbled upon the comic book character. It was when he was in the World of the Living, and this bastard had—Oooooooh! The big guy here didn't look happy.
"Uh... we're here to see... uh... Tanaka Zenaku?" Seika gave a nervous smile.
Ichirou curled his lip, making the two freeze. "Why?"
"'Cause we want to make love with him!" Renta blurted out, receiving a puzzled look from the tall man and a horror-filled look from his sister. "Y'know, do a little dance... make a little love..." He was about to start singing when his sister punched his side.
"We just want to speak with him!" Seika sent her brother a glare before she gave the tall man a nervous grin. "Please... sir?"
Ichirou was still sending Renta a look of bewilderment before he looked back. "Zenaku, the door."
The scarred man, who was examining his zanpakuto, looked up and frowned in confusion. "For me?" He pointed at himself, seeing the taller man nod. Still frowning, he walked towards the door while Ichirou walked further into the room. He looked at the two and immediately started to glare. "What?"
"Ooooh!" Renta quietly said, eyes growing wide and sending his sister a cringe.
"Uh... Can I talk to you... privately?" Seika gave a wide grin, seeing the scarred man narrow his eyes suspiciously. "Y'know, just to talk! We can go for a walk and talk!"
"Why?" Zenaku crossed his arms and frowned.
Renta looked down, blinking before his eyes grew wide when he saw the zanpakuto. "Uh... Seika..." He grunted when she elbowed his side. Ugh, man! Seriously?! He's supporting her decision in liking this man and she keeps hitting him! "Um... c'mon, man, she just wants to talk." He sent the scarred man a glare, instantly taking a step back when he received a glower. "'C-'Cause, it'd be rude to keep a lady waiting, right?" He gave a nervous grin.
Zenaku scowled and rolled his eyes with a groan. He looked back. "I'll be back."
"Yep." Ichirou laid in his futon, closing his eyes with a huff.
"Be safe." Nojima called out, seeing the scarred man raise his eyes in slight shock before he smirked.
Zenaku stepped out and closed the door behind himself, crossing his arms and scowling. "What do ya want?"
"C-Can we walk?" Seika pointed down the hallway and grinned.
Sighing in irritation, he turned and started walking down the hallway, hands clenched into fists and back straight. Whoever saw him walking down the hallway immediately moved to the sides while the third seats tried catching up. Renta shared a look with his sister, both wincing when the scarred man barked at them to hurry up and say what they wanted.
"Uh, my sister... wanted to speak to you, not me." Renta gave a nervous grin.
"Then get the hell outta here."
The third seat stumbled and looked up with wide eyes. "Uh, w-what?"
Zenaku stopped and turned to glare at the man, seeing him widen his eyes when he leaned towards him. "If you don't have anything ta say ta me... then get the hell outta here," He thinned his eyes and gave a sneer. "Is that hard ta understand?"
"N-No, all clear, sir!" Renta gave a salute, eyes wide before he turned to start running down the hallway as if his life depended on it. And since the guy had his sword, he was very well gonna run like he was running from a monster. His sister, be damned.
He caught Seika's look, giving a shrug and a supportive smile before he started to run. Zenaku quirked a brow, seeing the third seat run while he flailed his arms. The hell was wrong with that guy? Huffing lightly, he turned to glare at the woman while she stared back with wide eyes. A nervous smile crossed her face, jumping lightly when the man started growling under his breath.
"Well?!" Zenaku placed his hands on his hips and frowned. "What do ya want?"
"U-Uh," Seika jumped and took a deep breath. "Uh... do you want to get something to eat first?"
Zenaku pulled a face while he raised an eyebrow.
"He needs to calm down!"
Riko shared a look with Kaori, both blinking before they turned to stare at the pacing woman. Well, she brought the anger, alright. Kayo kept complaining that she didn't like how Hitsugaya Taicho always got jealous when she talked to men he didn't like or know. She then said she could talk to anyone she wanted. Even though, most of the time she kept quiet around strangers.
"It's like he doesn't trust me!" Kayo stomped her foot and scowled.
"Okay... you done?" Riko asked with a curious look on her face. "All we got from... that... is that you don't like it when he's being grouchy."
Kayo sent her a glare before she sat down and crossed her arms, silently saying she was done.
"...Now what?" Kaori asked, glancing at her two friends and raising her eyebrows. They finished ranting, anyway.
"I dunno 'bout you guys," Riko stood up and sighed. "But... I'm gonna go back to my division and avoid Zaraki Taicho." She gave a wide grin and walked towards the door.
"H-Hold on!" Kaori stood up and held her hands out, frowning slightly. "You finally make up with Zaraki Taicho and you're gonna avoid him? Who would do that?" She pulled a face and placed her hands on her hips.
"Oh, screw you, don't act like you're not gonna do the same thing," Riko turned and sent her a scowl, seeing the redhead stare at her in silence before she shrugged lightly and looked away. "How about you, Kayo? Gonna avoid Hitsugaya Taicho?"
"You know it." Kayo said, which gained her strange stares before they ignored the unusual response.
"So, I'm gonna go and hide," Riko grinned and opened the door. "I'll see you guys either later on or tomorrow." She took a step outside with Kaori right behind her.
Once they were outside, they looked up and froze.
Kenpachi, Hitsugaya, and Byakuya walked around the corner. They instantly went back inside the room, locking the door and quickly whispering to get the window. Kayo frowned and asked what was wrong. Once Kaori told her(while Riko slid the window open) the blonde widened her eyes and gasped. As soon as the window opened they all tried climbing out at the same time. They jumped when they heard a knock at the door.
"Kayo?" Hitsugaya's voice sounded through the door.
Kaori squeaked and climbed out first, falling into the bush below the window. Next came Kayo, and then Riko, both falling on top the redhead. She pushed at them, glaring at them as she did so, all three standing up and glancing at each other. Feeling adrenaline, they all turned and ran to head for the streets. Forget having made up with their Taichos, they just wanted to get the hell out of there.
"Safe place?! Safe place?!" Kaori yelled, all three running down the street.
"First division! First division! Family! Family!" Riko yelled as she tried pushing herself.
Who cares if they made up?
They'll avoid them as much as possible!
They were too embarrassed!
He was starting to get pissed off.
Zenaku growled under his breath, looking around the restaurant to see almost everyone turning to stare at him. He rested his arms on the table, while he held his head up with his hand under his chin. Narrowing his eyes, he curled his upper lip and kept growling. Unfortunately, no one seemed to care that he was glaring at them, as they kept staring in curiosity. Seika waited for their food, biting her lip and fiddling with her hands before she glanced up. The sides of her mouth curled downwards when she saw his face, following his line of sight and scowling when she saw people openly staring at him.
"Hey, what the hell are you staring at?!" The sudden outburst had everyone jumping, even the prisoner. Seika gave everyone in the restaurant a glare. "Go back to your own food and conversations! What?! You haven't seen anyone order food before?!"
People meekly went back to their meals, keeping their heads down while Seika rolled her eyes and huffed. The nerve of some people. Seriously. Turning back in her seat, she looked forward and blinked. Zenaku sent her a flat stare, arms crossed over his chest. She beamed at him, which had him rolling his eyes. Well... only one eyes was visible of rolling. The other was—No! Stop thinking like that! He was the same as everyone else, only... more scary. And very handsome, in her eyes.
Zenaku was starting to get a little freaked out.
He pulled a face, seeing the woman start smiling almost dreamily.
Seika kept staring, tracing the man's features and pausing when she saw a streak that was darker than his skin on his neck. Furrowing her brows, she reached forward without thinking. Before her hands could touch the scar on his neck, he reached up and grabbed her hand tightly. Gasping softly, she looked up, seeing the man sending her a glare.
"What. Are you doing?" Zenaku growled softly, having tensed when he saw her hand.
"I-I just... wanted to know where you got the scar," She pointed at the one that looked dangerously close to his jugular and went under his robes. "It... looks like it was a dangerous fight." She gave a nervous smile.
"Might've been dangerous," Zenaku narrowed his eyes and gave a dangerous smirk, seeing the woman her eyes when he leaned forward until his face was close to hers. "but I was having too much fun to notice."
Seika slowly nodded with wide eyes. "A-And the guy you were fighting?"
"Dead," Zenaku dropped her hands, leaning back and crossing his arms. "While he almost got my neck, I got his neck the next strike." He smirked once more.
Her mouth dropped open in awe. "Whoa... so you must be... awesome when you're fighting!" Seika saw surprise cross his face before he shrugged lightly. "I tell you, man, if I could fight like you and your friends I'd be Taicho by now and I'd be making all the rules!" She swept her arm across the table when she said 'all,' giving a smirk all the while.
Zenaku frowned and raised an eyebrow, staring at the woman closely. Seika flushed, leaning back and rubbing the back of her neck while she smiled in embarrassment. The tall man continued to stare at her strangely before he smirked and started chuckling. Her entire face went red, back straightening when she heard him laugh. Holy shit, he laughed! And not that scary 'I'mma kill you' laugh.
"So, what did ya want?" Zenaku asked, leaning forward and scowling.
"Uh..." Seika bit her lip and looked to the side. Where did all her confidence go? "I... just wanted to see how you were doing?"
"...Huh?" He pulled a face and leaned forward, as if he didn't understand the question.
"Well, you were hurt, right?" Seika frowned at the thought of that big son of a bitch that he went against. "The last thing I saw was you going against that... that giant. And then the next thing I know, you have a freakin' arm going through your chest!" She motioned towards his chest. "And you lived!" She blurted out the next thing before she could think. "You have nine lives or something?"
Zenaku continued to frown. "I dunno why yer makin' a big deal of it, no one else in this damn city woulda cared if I up and died. But when ya live in the Rukongai and continue ta beat the odds day after day, then ya get used to having a foot in the grave after a fight." He shrugged lightly. "Wouldn't have mattered if he cut an arm off, I woulda kept fightin' if I could. But I couldn't breathe, so I was down." He scowled at the thought. He glanced at the woman and frowned. "Why would you care?"
Seika tensed. "W-Well, you're Nikito's friends, right? Well, I'm his friend, too!"
"'Friends' might be stretching, but yeah, we're his comrades," Zenaku raised an eyebrow once more, looking the woman over. "Are ya waitin' for me ta apologize or somethin'?" At the confused stare he rolled his eyes and elaborated. "I practically molested you two years ago before I got thrown in jail?"
"Oh, yeah!" Seika perked up at the reminder. "It's okay." She waved her hand dismissively.
Zenaku stared at her with wide eyes. "I cupped yer breasts, an' yer tellin' me it's okay?" He pulled a face. "There somethin' wrong with ya?"
"I'm a pervert, it's alright with me!" Seika admitted with a grin.
Silence. "...Explains some things," He murmured dryly, looking to the side and snorting. "So yer fine with... what happened, then?" The woman nodded. "Then why the hell do ya wanna talk ta me?"
Seika slowly looked away, face starting to heat up. Zenaku frowned. This woman was starting to piss him off. Before he could open his mouth to snap at her to say something their food was placed in front of them, the third seat thanking the woman with a grin. Sighing lightly, seeing as she was eating and avoiding him at the same time, he glanced at his food. His chest ached like hell, even though Nojima healed him, but hell, he was hungry. Deciding to ignore the woman for now, he started eating, as well.
Crap, crap, crap! How the hell can she say it? 'I like you, and want to jump you like a bitch in heat, can I?'
...Hell, that sounded freakin' perverted, even for her.
Her foot bumped his under the table, the woman jumped and immediately moving away. Except, Zenaku ignored the bump and continued eating, looking in the distance with a blank look on his face.
Seika paused, chewing slowly before a perverted idea came to mind.
Slowly smiling, she ran her foot up the inside of his leg, inwardly grinning when she saw the man tense and look at her sharply. Removing her foot, she looked down and began eating once more.
There's something wrong with this woman, Zenaku decided, frowning at the woman before he decided to ignore it. As she said herself, she's a pervert. Which was a pretty fuckin' weird thing to say to someone.
Seika grinned when he looked away, running her foot up the leg once more and snickering lightly when she got to the inside of his thigh.
Zenaku jumped and moved back, staring wide-eyed at the woman. "What the hell are you doing?!"
Seika shrugged. "I was looking for something."
"For what?!" Zenaku grabbed her foot and moved it away from him.
She stayed silent. "...For my... wallet."
Zenaku sent her a flat stare. "...Are you retarded?"
"I've been asked that a lot of time," Seika slowly nodded. "...I always wonder why." She gave a wide grin.
"...I think I know why." Zenaku grumbled, moving away from the woman.
"...Okay, I gotta know," Seika hung her head and closed her eyes tightly, seeming to forget what she just did while the man kept staring at her warily. "Do you have a girlfriend?" She opened her eyes and gave a bright grin.
"...Yeah." Zenaku looked very confused. The third seat slumped and frowned. "Rina."
"Rina?" Seika looked up and raised an eyebrow. "That voluptuous babe in your group?" She ignored the bewildered stare she received from the man. "I thought she was that taller guy's girlfriend?"
"She's everyone's girlfriend," Zenaku said, frowning slightly. "She's a girl, and she's a friend." He shrugged lightly and pulled a face.
...Oh!
"I mean, are you romantically involved with anyone?" Seika gave a wide grin, trying to keep the snickering to herself. That was so adorable.
Zenaku looked surprised. "No," He gave the woman a suspicious stare. "Why?"
"No reason~!" Seika beamed, looking very happy as she went back to eating.
The scarred man continued to stare at her, even though she was ignoring him. Why the hell did she ask...? One eyebrow rose, Zenaku staring at the woman strangely while he ignored his food. What she did pretty much ruined his appetite. Not that he didn't like it, but it was strange for any woman to do that to him, of all people. And that question... Who the hell asked anyone a question like that?
He frowned.
The fuck was wrong with this woman?
Next chapter... Seika finally tells the oblivious man how she feels. XD
Anyway, forgot to ask last chapter... but would anyone mind... if I changed the rating back to T? :D I know I said I could do it, but then I started thinking, "Wait a second, smut?! I can't write smut, what was I thinking?!" DX 'Cause I had confidence when I decided, but then I slowly started losing it the more I started to write. XD
So, would anyone mind if I change the rating? :D
No smut appeared, anyway.
I'm not made to write smut. XD
