Recap
[Davis] OK, so the guys were in London, and Greg, T.K., and Kari were called to Leicester Square to fight Sepikmon and Sorcermon, a couple of Armor-levels. Piece of cake, right? Wrong. But just then, Izzy shows up and Armor Digivolves Tentomon to FlaWizarmon, who is really awesome. After that, Thomas manages to land a shot to record with the London Symphony Orchestra, and the gang meets Sting in the men's room at Abbey Road. Oh, that is so unfair! And speaking of unfair, T.K.'s dad told him that he and his mom would never, ever, ever get back together. Geez, as much as I don't like the guy, I do kinda feel sorry for him. As if the day couldn't get any better, they had to fight Karatenmon and Mervamon at the Lloyd's of London building, where all the elevators and air ducts were on the outside. They pulled it off, but just gave Commander Sampson another headache. Geez, and I thought I was bad.
Chapter 31: Veemon vs. Veemon
Greg
We had just played our last gig at Royal Albert Hall, and it was a smashing success. That left us three days until our next stop in Birmingham. So, we hustled to finish our second album D.T.R., and we would've finished it sooner if Kazuki hadn't called us the night before we were scheduled to leave London. We took the call on speakerphone in a conference room. "All right, cats, we got a new one for you. You're never gonna believe this, Matt my man, but your girlfriend has just hit the music scene." "Huh? You mean Sora's a recording artist now?" Matt asked. "Well, not exactly. She was chosen by the label out of 5,000 other swingers to record with Neon Hanamura, one of the newest things to hit the charts. Hit #15 on Oricon recently, and this next one is supposed to be a smash. Like, a real smash, man. I'll e-mail it to you."
"Hmmm..." From what I could tell, Matt wasn't too sure about this. I'd been hanging out with them for a while now, so I knew that he and Sora had a thing going on ever since Tai proved he wasn't enough of a man to take the next step from "just friends" to "more than just friends". And he supposedly had the Crest of Courage! I usually try staying out of Matt's love life, finding myself far more interested in T.K. and Kari's relationship. If I couldn't have Kari, then T.K. was the next best choice.
"Anyway, we've arranged for them to do their bit for the gig in Birmingham," Kazuki went on. Marcus quickly got up from his chair, always quick to roar. "Say what!? Oh no, no no no. I'm not letting some kid and Matt's girlfriend come up on stage to open for us. Sora shouldn't even be involved!" "Sorry, kid. Rules of the label." "Forget the label! I'm not gonna stand for any of this. We should get our own label. Call it Howling Records."
Matt came in for the label's defense. "Marcus, starting a label isn't easy. We should be glad Sony's helping us with our mission." "Oh, so they got you in their back pocket already, Ishida?" Kari blew her whistle loudly and Rika had to push her boyfriend back to his seat. "Wowzers. You're all like baking soda and vinegar, man. Chill out," Kazuki came back in.
After we'd gotten off the phone with Kazuki, we checked our inboxes. Sure enough, he'd sent us a YouTube link to a music video they'd done.
["Friends and Lovers"
Written by Jay Gruska and Paul Gordon
Performed by Neon Hanamura (Yuri Lowenthal) and Sora Takenouchi (Colleen Villard)]
This song was introduced on the NBC soap opera "Days of Our Lives" and became the theme music for one of the popular supercouples on the show in the mid 1980s, Shane Donovan and Kimberly Brady (portrayed by "The Nanny"'s Charles Shaughnessy and Patsy Pease). In this music video, we see Sora and Neon recording the song in a studio. The arrangement of the song has been updated to fit the 2010s. The instrumentation has been updated to sound as authentic and natural as possible, with much less synthesizer.
Sora:
What would you think if I told you
I've always wanted to hold you?
I don't know what we're afraid of
Nothing would change if we made love.
Neon:
So I'll be your friend
And I'll be your lover
Sora/Neon:
'Cause I know in our hearts we agree
Neon:
We don't have to be one or the other
Oh, no,
Sora/Neon:
we could be both to each other.
We see them walking along the beach in Japan, and overall being friends and lovers. It looks innocent enough, but not innocent enough for Matt.
Sora:(VO)
Yes it's a chance that we're taking
And somebody's heart may be breaking
Neon: (VO)
Oooh, but we can't stop what's inside us
Our love for each other will guide us.
Sora/Neon:(VO)
So I'll be your friend
And I'll be your lover
'Cause I know in our hearts we agree
We don't have to be one or the other
We see the two of them at an intimate restaurant, enjoying a private candlelit dinner and lip-syncing their lyrics.
Neon:
I've been through you
You've been through me
Sora:
Sometimes a friend is the hardest to see
Neon:
Hmmm, we always know when it's laid on the line
And we find the two cuddling up in bed in a hotel room overlooking the beach at sunrise. They tenderly lip-sync the lyrics to each other, then fall back asleep.
Sora/Neon:
Nobody else is as easy to find
So I'll be your friend
(Neon: And I'll be)
And I'll be your lover
Cause I'll be your friend
(Neon: And I'll be)
And I'll be your lover
'Cause I know in our hearts we agree
We don't have to be one or the other
Oh, no,
we could be both
to each other.
Matt
Gabumon and I watched the video. Afterwards, I picked up the vase in my room, opened the balcony, and angrily threw it out the window. "Gee, Matt... you shouldn't hate the players. You should only hate the game," my partner said. "Did you see that? Neon was making a move on my girl!" I quickly ranted. I leaned against the wall and started counting to ten in my head, breathing quickly.
Gabumon thought he could spout out bits of wisdom to try to make me feel better. "Nobody ever said long-distance relationships were easy, especially when a musician is involved." I kept breathing quickly. "Didn't work, did it?" he asked. I shook my head, and his ears drooped. I tried playing it cool, but I was failing. "I didn't even know she was that good of a singer, otherwise I would've asked her to join."
Gabumon
There had to be something I could do to help Matt. I brought my ears back up in a look of determination. "Matt, if you want to get Sora back, you'll have to win her back. I can't just stand here and let you suffer like this." That made him more determined. "You're right. Maybe T.K. has some ideas." So, we walked over to his room.
Greg
Two things came in my inbox that night. One was the Sora and Neon video, and the other was an e-mail from Davis. "'Greg, just wanted you to know that I'm coming to Birmingham because my Veemon wants to challenge your Veemon. He's been wanting to settle this once and for all. Although, I think I better let him tell you himself.'" Then Davis quadruple-spaced and changed the font. Veemon got a good look at it. "Hey, I better read this one. 'To Greg'sh Veemon- Davish and I are gonna come to your next concert so we can settle thish onshe and for all. There'sh room for only one Veemon in the human world, and I'm the one. You got that!? So bring it!' I don't think he likes me."
"I don't think he likes you either. Poor Davis," I said. "Huh? What do you mean, poor Davis? It's not his fault. It's not your fault. You and I were meant to be together, and just because there was another one of me doesn't mean he should be mad at you." "I knew that. This isn't about me, Veemon. It's about a very confused Digimon in Japan. We should go out there, give him the best battle we can, and then you two hug it out or something." Veemon looked at me like I was crazy. "You want me, to hug it out with him?" I just nodded my head. "All right, I guess." I shot a reply back to Davis, and we settled the base rules for the contest.
Veemon
Greg sent me back into the Digivice, and I opted out of the hangout Gabumon was throwing at his place so I could focus on my training during the band's concert. I started out in the basic gym installed on every Digivice. It had a few weight machines, a sandbag, some weapons and an octagon. The experience I'd be getting during my workouts wouldn't make me Digivolve by myself, but it would boost my stats a little. I could use whatever edge I could get against Davis' Veemon.
My partner downloaded some MMA workouts for me to do, so I did those all through the night. The Single-Leg Squats were OK, but the Single-Leg Plyo Box Jumps started to kill me after 15 reps. I think I did five reps too many. When I wasn't focusing on my training, I was watching the other Veemon's battle footage, trying to figure out his strategy.
Greg
The next day, the 16th, we took the train to Birmingham. Waiting for us at the train station were Sora and Davis, and this new guy Neon. He was a young man with blonde hair, a purple jacket and a pink T-shirt. He had his arm around Sora's shoulder, and that just made Matt uncomfortable. Sora let out a nervous smile, probably wishing she could die. Matt glared at Neon, wishing the latter was dead.
Matt
There were so many questions about that music video that I wanted answered. Either Sora really had something for this guy, or she was one terrific actress. So, I went right to the horse's mouth. At lunch, I cornered this Neon guy. "All right, so tell me the truth. Did you sleep with Sora during the making of that music video?" He put his hands up. "Hey, bro, she did mention something about another guy, but I thought I charmed my way into her heart. You got a nice girl there." "Answer the question! And you better be telling the truth, because if I find out you're lying, then so help me, you are a dead man!"
Sora caught me. "Matt! Get out of his face!" she yelled. Then she rushed up to the two of us and split us apart. "I was just trying to find out whether he'd done anything to you," I countered. "It just so happens that Neon is a charming and truly kind person. I like him as a friend." "And probably as a lover, too," I muttered under my breath. "What was that!?" "I said you like him as a lover, too! I've got nothing to hide!" Sora gasped. "Yamato Ishida, that's the most accusing thing that's ever come out of your mouth! You take that back!" "No!" "Yes!" "No!"
"Guys, you're creating a scene," T.K. groaned. She and I turned towards him. "You keep out of this!" He backed away. Neon got up. "Come on, Sora, we don't need that kind of abuse," he said. Sora walked away with him. I just sat there, dumbfounded.
Greg
While Matt and Sora were trying to figure out what they were supposed to do now in their relationship, Davis took me to the side. "Look, bro. It's obvious what's going on here. My Veemon hates your Veemon. He wants us to have a battle to the death. I know you don't want to lose your partner, and I don't want to lose mine." "Of course not, Davis. Nobody would want that. We'd both lose," I said. "I know. But we gotta make this a really good battle. Besides, I'd think it'd be some sort of a test or something. To see who has the better Veemon. Ha ha ha ha! ….You do know I'm gonna win, right?" "In your dreams, Motomiya. If your Veemon wants to bring it, consider it brought."
We checked in at our hotel, the Crowne Plaza Hotel Birmingham City Centre. The label was spending a lot of money on us, and it made me wonder how long it would last. After lunch, Davis, Kari and I took a taxi down to the National Indoor Arena so we could fight this battle. I made a few phone calls to Ken, who understood completely and promised to do what he could behind Commander Sampson's back. We'd have an alternate setup at the LG Arena in case we destroyed anything, and we paid off the guards and staff to say nothing.
I'd done my research, and it turned out that the National Indoor Arena was home to Gladiators, one of the toughest athletic competitions on British TV. What better place to have the ultimate showdown between Veemons?
We met each other in the center of the arena floor. "All right, Greg. So, I wanna get one thing straight before we start. This is between your Veemon, and my Veemon. This isn't between you and me." "I knew that," I said. "Good. Now the rules are simple. Champion vs. Champion, and Ultimate vs. Ultimate. The winner is determined by knockout, technical knockout, or submission. Basically, UFC rules. Do you know UFC rules, Kari?" Kari shook her head. "Nope." Davis dropped his head. "You're kidding, right? I mean, come on! How are you supposed to be a good referee when you don't even know UFC rules?" "I didn't know we'd be fighting by UFC rules," she answered innocently.
"We shouldn't waste any more time. I'm eager to battle you, Davis Motomiya," I said. "Same here, Greg Logan." The two of us shook hands and went to our corners. Kari went into full Official Mode. "DigiDestined, present your Digivices." We brought our arms up, converting our Digivices to their normal modes. "Realize your Digimon."
Davis went first. "Veemon, realize!" Within seconds, his Veemon was out and pounding his fist in his palm. "Oh yeah! There'sh only one true Veemon, and you're lookin' at 'im!" he bragged. I was next. "Veemon, realize!" My Veemon came out and was ready to go, doing some sort of boxing drill. He ended with this cool pose. "I don't need anyone to judge me," he said.
"DigiDestined, charge up your DigiSoul, and Digivolve your partners to Champion level," Kari instructed. We both flipped up the sensors on our Digivices, then I thrust my open right hand to the side, allowing the DigiSoul to ignite in my hand. Davis did an aerial elbow strike from outside to inside, covering his hand with blue DigiSoul. He called out his Digivolution. "DigiSoul... charge!" I followed him. "DigiSoul... CHARGE!"
"Veemon Digivolve to... ExVeemon!"
"Veemon Digivolve to... Veedramon!"
Davis' Veemon became a bigger version of himself, very muscular with wings on his back, an X on his chest, and a horn on his snout.
Davis
You know how pets sometimes start to look like their owners after a while? Well, I could say the same thing for Veedramon. His hands became bigger with 5 claws on each hand. His feet and tail expanded as well. He lost the yellow V on his forehead, but he gained a blue V on his chest. His ears straightened out and became coated in stainless steel, as did the horn on his head. He was just a big boned, dragon looking version of Greg, without the glasses and the hair.
Kari raised her arm and quickly dropped it. "Begin!" So, the two of us backed way up so we could give our partners plenty of room. Right away, they started running towards each other, pushing against each other with their claws in a grappling match. Veedramon came in with a single overhook. He put his weight on ExVeemon's hooked arm, forcing him to the ground, and then stepped over his back. Veemon and I had been studying Capoeira on the side, so we were ready for him. "ExVeemon! Queda de Quatro!" I called. ExVeemon fell back into a crab-walk position, scurrying away.
"Don't let him get away with that, Veedramon!" Greg shouted. Veedramon rushed up and grabbed the back of ExVeemon's neck with both hands and pulled down sharply, propelling his head and body toward the ground. The three of us humans rushed into the stands for safety. "Vee-Laser!" "V-Nova Blast!" The two energy beams clashed and struggled with each other. Ultimately, they both went up and hit the ceiling, 19 meters up. They created a giant hole in the ceiling. "...great," Greg muttered. I grabbed Greg by his shirt collar. "You idiot! Don't you know what your partner's done?" "It was your idea to do it here, now let go," he shot back, pushing me away. "Cutting Shoot!" Veedramon used his claws to create multiple flying blades of wind, creating more holes in the ceiling. ExVeemon swooped back in and the two fought some more. We had an advantage in the air, and that was all we needed. ExVeemon flew around the arena, with Veedramon chasing him until he got tired. "The bigger they are, the harder they fall!" my partner crowed as he kicked Veedramon in the side of the muzzle. He went down, crashing into the arena floor. Kari quickly raised her hand up again. "Veedramon is unable to battle. The winner of round one is ExVeemon!"
"Awwwwwww yeah, baby!" I cheered. One round down, and one to go.
Kari
I was starting to see Davis in a new light. How could he let his Digimon be so savage, so brutal? Wait, what was I talking about? "No, Kari, this is the way it has to be. You're stronger now. You have to stomach this. After all, this is where you want to be," I thought to myself.
Greg
I ran down to the arena floor toward my partner's head. "Veedramon! Are you OK, buddy?" "Yeah, but get out of the way. I'm standing up again." I quickly got out of the way while he got back on his feet. "I'm ready to take this battle to the skies, Greg," he said. "Me too."
After we gave our partners a quick pep-talk, we went back to our sides. Kari found a nice flat place to stand on. "DigiDestined, fully charge up your DigiSoul and Digivolve your partners to Ultimate level," she instructed. Davis threw off his jacket and performed a fast cartwheel, immediately followed by a side flip. He was just trying too hard. "Showoff," I muttered. Blue DigiSoul covered his body as he flipped the sensor back open on his Digivice. "You ready for this, ExVeemon?" he asked. "Ready!" his partner answered.
Davis' arm movements were completely fluid as he brought his arm up. "DigiSoul! Full... Charge!" He quickly slid his hand down his arm. I let out a short roar, then struck my standard Full Charge pose. "DigiSoul! Full, CHARGE!"
"ExVeemon Digivolve to... Paildramon!"
"Veedramon Digivolve to... AeroVeedramon!"
Ken told me that this was once the DNA Digivolution of ExVeemon and Stingmon, and I believed it. He had four wings, green armor, a red semi-helmet, lots of razor-sharp claws on his hands, and two guns on his belt.
Davis
I'd never seen anything like AeroVeedramon before, except in those battle footage videos. At first glance, his wings looked pretty beat up, but they were still working. Maybe he was a better grappler, and maybe he was bigger, but he didn't have guns!
Greg
Kari raised her arm and quickly dropped it. "Begin!" The two launched and went into the sky, opening up the holes and giving the National Indoor Arena a need for a new roof. We watched the battle carefully. Not only did AeroVeedramon have the weight advantage, he also had the power advantage. The only things Paildramon had going for him were his guns and his speed.
"Desperado Blaster!" Paildramon fired energy bullets from the two cannons on his hips, like a machine-gun. AeroVeedramon got hit, but used his Dragon Impulse attack to send a shockwave his opponent's way, which Paildramon avoided. Both of them were fighting at equal strength. Everything was going smoothly until we got a call from the base.
"Davis! Gregory! What do you two think you're doing?!" Sampson barked from our Digivices. "Oh crap... Commander, uh heh heh heh, what a- a, pleasant surprise," I stammered, trying to smooth over the situation. "You're stalling. Answer the question!" "Uh... we were just settling a score between our Digimon, sir," Davis quickly answered. "Yeah, nothing like a friendly Digimon battle between friends, huh?" I added.
Sampson laid down the law. "You idiots! Digimon are not monsters that can just fight out in the open. This is not a video game. There aren't any Digimon Gyms around, I don't see any Contest Halls, and I'm certainly not passing out any Badges. This is the real world. There are consequences! Oh... you two are going to send me to an early grave. And Hikari! Why are you involved?" Kari got very nervous. "Um, well, they needed a referee, sir. I was there to make sure nobody got hurt. I'm sorry, Commander. I promise I won't let it happen again." "All right. See that you don't. Now, end this battle immediately before the press takes notice, or worse, the armed forces."
Just then, we heard loud squawking from up in the sky. We tuned in on our Digivices to watch, and there was a new Digimon entering the fight. Kari looked him up. "Oh no. Parrotmon, Ultimate-level. 'His sharp claws and strong electrical charge are assumed to be his weaponry.' You guys need any backup?"
"Nah, we can handle it," Davis answered. That gave me an idea. "Say, why don't we make this interesting? Rather than fight each other, we should barbecue that bird. First one to do it wins the whole thing. Deal?" I offered my hand. "You got it!" Davis accepted it. We shook hands, and then looked up to see the fight.
AeroVeedramon
We were fighting high above the ground when Parrotmon flew in. "Looks like somebody crashed the party," I said. Paildramon turned around and fired a bolt of electricity from his hands. That reflected against his forehead, sending it right back at him. "Well, so much for that." "Nice try, Paildramon, but please step aside." "Heh, yeah right." I charged up an attack. "V-Breath Arrow!" But the bird flew away from the attack and then viciously struck me with his sharp talons.
As we went through this battle, I thought enough was enough. So, I made a suggestion. "You know, why don't we just roast this bird together? I mean, We're both Veemon, but we're different enough when we've Digivolved. You've got your guns and your defense, I've got all this raw power. Why don't we just settle our differences and move on?" Paildramon flew around and thought about it. "Eh... yeah, I suppose you're right. I mean, we have two Agumons, and now two Biyomons. If they can be friends, so should we." "Awesome! Now, I'm in the mood for some barbecue." "I'll get him ready for you. Cable Catcher!" He shot out his claws on wires to bind Parrotmon, who struggled. I got at a good angle, flew back, and then swooped forward. "V-Wing Blade!" I cut the bird to pieces with the blades of my wings. After one last squawk, he reverted back to a DigiEgg. We high-fived each other and then flew back down to solid ground.
Greg
After seeing what happened, I just smiled. They'd worked together, and now nobody could claim they'd won anything. Davis was steamed. "Well, Davis, what can I tell you? At least they settled their differences," I said, trying to console him a little by patting him on the back. "Yeah, but I really wanted to win that one," he whined. "You did? Huh. How about we just settle this with a game of strip poker?" He perked up when he heard that, and slyly pulled out a deck of cards from his pocket. "I always come prepared." So, the three of us played a few hands in the ruins. When the police arrived to investigate, Davis was down to his designer boxer briefs. "Some guys have all the luck," he simply told the policeman.
Again, it was up to Commander Sampson to cover for us so we wouldn't get arrested or investigated. Using the most modern in technology, he reluctantly bailed us out. We learned two lessons that day, but for some reason, I can only remember one of them.
Rika
Matt asked Marcus and me to do some Sora-watching for him, just to make sure nothing was going on. I didn't have any problem with it. Matt had the same rights I did when Renamon offered to check on my boyfriend that night in Zurich. So, we trailed them with binoculars and camera phones. We wound up at the Birmingham Peace Pagoda. Turned out Neon wanted to make love and war at the same time, with Sora as the battlefield. I captured all the footage on my phone. "No doubt about it, Neon's no good for Sora. I want to go in there and give him a piece of my mind!" Marcus grumbled. He was almost about to walk out and do that, but I pulled him back in. "Wait, Marcus. I've got a better idea." I whispered it to him, and he agreed to it. So, we went back and told Matt. He liked it as well. Seemed everybody was on board.
["Listen to Her Heart"
Written by Tom Petty
Performed by Yamato "Matt" Ishida (Michael Reisz)]
It's live band night at Chung Ying Garden, and Neon has decided to take Sora there for a "date". However, he hadn't expected on Matt showing up. He walks into the restaurant, carrying his guitar case. He's cool, calm, and determined. He goes up on stage and has a private conference with the band. After he takes out his guitar and secures it, he speaks to the audience. "Hey, guys. I'm Yamato Ishida, my friends call me Matt." The crowd cheers, and he puts his hands up to silence them. "Thank you. I'd like to dedicate this particular song to two people in the audience tonight. One of them is a very close friend of mine, and the other is the Grammy-nominated womanizer who thought he could take her." He looks directly at Neon. "Let me ask you something, Hanamura. Don't you think it's time you gave up on this little charade? It's getting old." He turns around and nods to the drummer who starts playing.
Matt:
You think you're gonna take her away
With your money and your champagne
You keep thinkin' that her mind is gonna change
But I know everything is okay
She's gonna listen to her heart
It's gonna tell her what to do
She might need a lot of lovin'
But she don't need you
This is the kind of passion that Sora wants to see. Matt is becoming the knight in shining armor she never thought she'd dream of.
Matt:
You want me to think that I'm being used
You want her to think it's over
You can't you see it doesn't matter what you do
Buddy, you don't even know her
She's gonna listen to her heart
It's gonna tell her what to do
She might need a lot of lovin'
But she don't need you
And you just can't creep up behind her
And you can't understand that she's my girl
She's my girl
The electric guitarist lays down a mean guitar solo, and the joint is jumping. Neon fumes.
Matt:
Yeah, she's gonna listen to her heart
It's gonna tell her what to do
She might need a lot of lovin'
But she don't need you
As the song ends, Neon gets up from his table and walks up on the stage. "You might've impressed the crowd, you wannabe Heartbreaker, but you haven't impressed me," he growls. Matt is not intimidated at all. In fact, he's openly derisive."Oh, but I have. You're up here on stage, aren't you?" Neon punches Matt right in the gut. He goes down, but then picks himself up. "Well... since you put it that way..." Matt fires a few punches at Mr. Hanamura himself. This starts a whole chain of fights inside the bar. I tell you, those Chinese-British people sure know how to fight with style.
Greg
They both got arrested, but video footage posted on YouTube proved Matt was only attacking in self-defense. That was enough to keep him out of jail. On top of that, Rika's act of espionage helped out a lot as well. Neon was charged with sexual assault and Matt's charges were dropped.
Sora didn't say anything for the longest time, but finally opened up to Matt. "Oh Matt... how could I be so blind?" she wondered. Matt took her into his arms. "I don't know, but I don't really care. All that matters is that you're OK, and that creep is behind bars." The two kissed and made up quickly.
We watched the late news to see if we'd made the headlines. Sure enough, ITN was all abuzz talking about the Parrotmon fight. Thomas walked in the room, and he didn't look happy. Of course, he was as cool as he ever was. "I just got off the phone with Commander Sampson, Mr. Logan. It seems your little contest started this entire mess. You should consider yourselves fortunate that Parrotmon flew in when he did. Otherwise, it would've all been pinned on you." There was no way I could win against him. "You're right, it was stupid. Digimon are not Pokemon, and we will never do this again." "All right. See that you don't," he replied. He settled down and watched the news with us.
The concert at the LG Arena was a huge success, as we all thought it would be. Sora and Neon's song was passed on to Anya and me. Now, I'm no Carl Anderson or Eddie Rabbitt, but I thought we did the song justice.
Author's Notes:
As for who won, Greg did say that the first one to slay Parrotmon would be the winner. However, Paildramon and AeroVeedramon collaborated. So, who do you think won?
I wanted to use Robin Thicke and Kari for "Friends and Lovers", but Robin is 37 and a married man. We all know Kari would never try cheating on T.K. with a married man.
I resisted the temptation to use the Gladiators set or any props for this battle. That would be too obvious. Besides, Davis would easily whoop Greg in the Eliminator because he's more in shape than Greg is.
I borrowed the detail about Davis learning capoeira from IrishDreamer4.
