Zach POV

My hand was still frozen on the door when about 5 men ran in dressed in black with guns. Seth pulled me back as they ran into the living area, aiming guns at us all and separating us from the girls again. Cammie and Alexa stood back to back, eyes darting from person to person, ready to attack. The last into the house was doctor Collins, I grimaced when I saw him. He walked in slowly and purposefully, with both hands behind his back and his head held high.

When he came into the now crowded room with the rest of us he looked to his son and his confidence wavered. "Get up." He snapped to Drew, who tried and failed to stand straight. "You'rev a disgrace, what have you been telling them?" His voice was rough and deadly. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Cammie clench her fists.

"Nothing." Drew whooped, some of the contents of his bottle slashed over the rim of the glass. "Well, maybe something." If looks could kill, Collins would have killed Drew right there and then. But instead he turned his attention to the rest of us and pretended his son wasn't there, which I guessed was how he'd spent most of his childhood anyway.

"Alexa Soloman, what a surprise. See, you weren't supposed to get out of the ambulance." He shook his head at her like she was an infant who had done something wrong. She narrowed her eyes at him. "And Cameron Morgan, it's good to see you both together again for the first time in over 16 years." Now we were all confused, what was he on about? He winked at the girls and took a few steps closer, the men gripped their guns tighter, fingers etching on the trigger.

"Your sorry excuse for a son told us about the list of founders." Cammie said defensively, showing she wasn't afraid of Collins. Collins raised and eyebrow and the corners of his mouth tugged down.

"Did he now? Well, I'll deal with him later." He said with such a tone that Drew sunk back into the couch like he was trying to merge with it and disappear. "Well, I guess that means you can tell us now can't you Alexa, I would so hate to do this the hard way." Alexa stared him down.

"We won't help you do anything." They both said at the same time, they had been doing that more and more recently. Seth and I exchanged a look.

Collins laughed loudly like he knew something we didn't and wiped his eyes. "Yes you will, both of you."

"Why is that?" Cammie asked, knowing that Collins wouldn't kill either of them since he needed them alive. "From when I'm standing you can't really do anything to me or Alexa." Collins pondered this for a moment.

"Your right, how silly of me." He said, just as the girls relaxed ever so slightly he turned on me and Seth. "Kill the dark haired one, since I know how much he means to both of you." Cammie's face dropped to horror as two men grabbed my arms and forced me onto the floor. That was when Cammie snapped. I knew she'd been stressed and on the verge of braking into rage for the past few days since Liz and Bex had now been in the hospital in critical condition and she didn't know where her mother was. This Cammie was deadly.

She grabbed the gun arm of the man to her left and twisted it to his back so he dropped the large gun he was carrying. She kicked him to the floor and aimed the gun at the next man who came for her, at the last second she whacked him around the face with it and kicked him in the stomach on the way down. Alexa took the opportunity to elbow the man in the back of the neck and draw her hand gun from her belt.

Cammie aimed her gun at Collins, who chuckled like she was never going to shoot him. "You kill me more will come, I am just another pawn in the game of chess we're playing. It's your move, killing this paw..." He gestured to himself, "will sacrifice your white knight." He pointed to me, a gun was pressing into my neck now as I was kneeling on the floor. I could see it was hopeless, killing Collins wouldn't accomplish anything.

Alexa saw what she was going to do a second before I did, as reached for Cammie as she pointed the gun to herself instead. Collins' had lost the upper hand, and his confidence. "Let him go or I'll shoot." She cocked the gun and pointed it under her chin, she looked like she knew what she was doing.

"You stupid girl." Collins spat.

"Cam don't." I said, though I knew that she was thinking if the situation was reversed I would do the same thing for her.

It was at that moment when the only other person in the room who hadn't made a sound since we were surrounded decided to act. I had almost forgotten Seth was there when he wrapped an arm around the neck of the man with the gun and pulled him down to the ground, followed by punching the other man in the face. I could see the blood fly away.

The last man standing pulled a gun to shoot Seth but I was up in a flash slamming that man into the almost bare book case on the wall. Cammie lowered her gun and Alexa relaxed. "Lets get out of here." She said. I agreed.

"Going to steal my car again?" Collins said acidly. I smirked, though I knew full well that would be far too risky.

"Come on." Seth lead the way outside. Collins followed us to the door but didn't make it outside because of a straight punch to the nose from Alexa sent him tumbling to the stairs.

We turned and all four of us ran blind down the street. Turing the right corner without even thinking we ran head on into a woman on the pavement. Alexa gasped.
