Chapter 9-What a day to remember

Hey guys, so this is another chapter...I am currently packing all my stuff up so I can travel back home from university, which is a pain to do. I have far too many posters on my wall of all my favourite fandoms. This does mean that I will be trying to write, but I doubt I'll get another chapter done until after the 22nd. Anyway lets get on with this. I don't own Charmed but Cassie is my creations. Enjoy.

It hit me as soon as I landed again on the floor of the manor. I wasn't evil, I didn't want to be evil. I just wanted to be good. I got up slowly staggering a bit, "Cassie, what are you doing here?" I heard Phoebe ask over the pounding in my ears.

"Apparently getting a spell cast on me," I said looking at them in confusion, "I forgot everything. It was like I was a different person," I said trailing off into my own thoughts.

Then I heard it and so did Piper, "Oh my god," she said running out of the room.

Paige, Phoebe followed her out of the room, just as something from when we had all forgotten finally sank into my mind, "Oh no, Chris!" I exclaimed. I killed Chris, before I could think anything through I shimmered over to P3 and stumbled into Chris' room.

It was exactly how I remember it being when I left him the night before I forgot. Chris was curled up in a ball the way he always slept, after spending quite a few late nights up going through demons who need to be killed. I had learnt a lot about how Chris slept. I moved closer to the bed, kneeing down beside it and resting my hand on his head feeling his hair. I couldn't understand why I had hated him so much, I moved my fingers onto his pulse remembering how I had felt it disappear beneath my fingers and not being able to hide my sorrow.

"Please, please forgive me for what I did," I begged quietly as I layed my head on the dovay and began to cry.

I was only like that for a few moments before I felt someone's hand resting on my arm, "Cas," I heard a voice say from above me.

I looked up to see Chris, who's eyes where just about open and clogged in sleep staring back at me, "What's the matter?"

"You don't remember?" I questioned getting up enough so I could look at him clearly as I tried to wipe away the evidence of my tears.

"Remember what?" Chris questioned looking at me in confusion.

"How can you not remember? Unless it was the spell," I muttered to myself before standing up.

"What spell?" Chris said suddenly looking very worried.

I shook my head, "The Charmed ones did one earlier," I said to him, "I have no idea what happened."

Before Chris could speak Leo's voice echoed through the club, "Chris, are you here?"

I got up and opened the door to see Leo standing outside ready to knock, "Leo is something wrong?"

"No just need a word with Chris quickly," Leo said looking into the room to see Chris still in bed, "Did I interrupt something?"

"No!" Both Chris and I exclaimed at the same time. I pushed Leo out of the room and followed, "We'll be at the bar Chris."

Leo and I sat at the bar in complete silence. He still really didn't like me. Chris only took a few minutes before he came out to join us, "So what is the big news?"

"I have another charge I want you to take care of," Leo explained.

"You're kidding, right? I don't have time for another charge," Chris exclaimed loudly looking annoyed.

"Why not?" Leo questioned, obviously not liking Chris's answer.

Chris looked like he was trying to think of another reason, "Because I just don't. Why do you want me to oversee another witch anyway?"

"Because I wanna see what you can do, what you can handle," Came Leo's automatic answer.

"Oh, please, you just don't want me around the sisters all the time because you don't trust me," Chris said hitting the nail on the head.

I just stood back and watched them argue knowing my input was not going to help the situation at the moment, "Chris, protecting charges is what we do. Besides, when I was a Whitelighter I had other charges," Leo said trying to be calm.

"Leo, I didn't come all the way from the future to protect and oversee other charges. I came for one reason and one reason only," Chris stated.

"To protect Wyatt," Leo finished the line Chris kept using.

"Yeah," Chris agreed.

Leo didn't look convinced, "From some demon who will attack in the future but you're not sure which one."

"Hey fine, whatever don't believe us," I snapped at Leo feeling a bit annoyed at his dismissal of our job.

Chris looked annoyed, "All I'm saying is there is no way I am taking on another charge and that's..." Chris began getting completely distracted by the blonde who just walked in, "that..."

"Hi Leo, sorry I'm late," her voice whined slightly.

"That's okay," Leo said smirking slightly.

The woman looked Chris up and down checking him out before speaking, "You must be Chris. I'm Natalie."

Chris shook her hand before turning back to Leo, "Maybe just one more."

"Nope you don't," I snapped grabbing hold of Chris by the arm and pulling him away from Natalie so we could talk.

"Come on Cas," Chris said, sounding like a five year old.

"Do I really have to remind you exactly what the future is like? Do you wanna find out that you could have stopped what will happen but instead you spent your time staring down a girl's shirt?" I snapped back at him feeling the anger rise up inside of me.

Before Chris could reply Paige orbed in beside me, "Emergency need help," She said simply not bothered by the fact other people were in the room.

"I'll come, Chris has some stuff he needs to do," I said before taking her hand and being orbed back into the living room of the Manor. Phoebe and Piper were standing in front of the TV.

"Police are at the tunnel saying it's a miracle no one was hurt although three cars were destroyed. They haven't ruled out terrorism of course, but at the moment they're focusing on some rather bazaar reports of a giant bird which one witnessed went on record saying shot fire out of its mouth at cars, like a dragon," The reporter said on the TV, before Paige turned off the TV.

"Well, as far as clues go, I would say that's a pretty huge one, wouldn't you?" Paige said sarcastically as Piper placed a bandage onto Phoebe's forehead.

"Ow," Phoebe complained.

"Sorry," Piper apologised.

Phoebe shook her head slightly, "No, it's not my pain I'm reacting to, it's your pain."

"Well then you should be feeling a little irritated then too," Piper responded immediately.

"Someone want to tell me what the hell is going on?" I questioned finally having enough of the secret.

"It is my fault. I'm the one that popped Wyatt in front of the electric babysitter," Piper stated as if that made the whole thing obvious.

"Do you have any idea what she's talking about?" Phoebe questioned Paige and me.

I shook my head, "No idea."

"You want some clues? Try this one for size. Before you left, Wyatt was watching a TV show about, wait for it, Dragons," Piper informed us.

"No, he was watching a kids show," Phoebe disagreed.

"Well, apparently he magically changed the channel. Of course, that was before he magically orbed me to the tunnel to find his new friend," Piper explained fully.

I nodded, "Wow, he really was powerful from a really young age," accidently thinking out loud.

Piper shot me a look, "See that's a little irritating."

"So how do we handle this?" I asked looking around.

"Well, at least now we know how we lost our memories and obviously anything connected to the dragon no matter how remote was erased, coffee stains, riots…" Paige said.

"My identity," I muttered under my breath not really wanting to talk about those memories anymore.

"The question is by whom?" Piper asked.

"Come on, you guys. So Wyatt made a little magical mess. We've dealt with worse, we'll fix it," Phoebe said thinking positively.

"Perhaps we can help," A voice came from behind us. I turned around to see two men standing there in white suits.

"Who are you?" Phoebe questioned looking confused.

I hissed loudly when I finally realised, "The cleaners."

"We're here to help," The one nearest to us spoke again.

"Cleaners?" Paige questioned looking at me for an explanation.

"Their job is to remove the threat of magic when it is exposed. They are the ones who want to take Wyatt from us," I said not taking my eyes away from them for a moment.

"Well, we won't have to if you can eliminate the exposure risk," The cleaner said in a very monotone voice.

"Exposure? You're here to take my son away you son of a bitch!" Piper snapped trying to blow him up, but the cleaner caught the blast in his hands.

"His immune to all powers," I said softly not even bothering to hide my anger now.

"I understand your anger, now you need to understand our position. We're a neutral party. We exist only to protect magic, to that end your son has become a problem," The Cleaner said bluntly.

Piper lifted up her hand as if to blast him again before Phoebe stopped her, "Easy."

"However, based upon your past successes in covering up your own magic, we've decided to give you a chance," He continued as if she hadn't reacted.

"One chance only," The second cleaner spoke for the first time. I was beginning to think he was a mute.

"Take care of the problem yourselves, before it gets out of hand," The first cleaner spoke once again.

"And if we can't?" Paige asked the question that was going through all three sister's heads.

"They'll take care of it for us," I spat feeling ill at the sight of them.

"Correct," He agreed.

"You can't make us forget everything," Piper argued back.

The Cleaner dismissed her, "There will be some distance echoes that remain, maybe a sense of deja vu here and there, but like most people you'll just pass it off as absent mindedness and move on."

"Well, we're not most people," Piper shot back.

"It won't matter, clean it up," He said sharply. The two of them then disappeared.

Paige looked around for a moment, "At least now we know what happened. Too bad we just won't remember any of it."

"We do have an advantage. We know we are reliving the same day, they don't," I explained.

"Well, none of this is gonna help unless we figure out how to eliminate Wyatt's dragon," Piper said heading upstairs.

"Where are you going?" I called up after her.

"To call upon a higher power. You lot go to the book, work on the dragon. Don't take your eyes off Wyatt," Piper ordered as she ran up the stairs.

"Can you send me over to Chris please?" I asked Paige, watching as she waved her hand and I reappeared in P3 to find Chris sitting with Natalie, "Chris I need your help," I said not bothering to be polite.

"Hello to you too," Natalie responded sarcastically.

"Natasha?" I asked, knowing it would wind her up no end.

"Natalie," she adjusted coldly.

"Oh I'm sorry Natalie, but I have to talk to the Whitelighter, not to the stuck up witch," I snapped not bothering about her feeling in the matter.

"Excuse me…" Natalie began getting up and into my face. I readied myself for a fight.

"Natalie can you leave us alone for a moment please," Chris said disfussing the toxic situation. Natalie did walk off, but not before trying to kill me with a death glare, "What's the matter?"

"Did you forget about the other charges? You know the Charmed ones?" I questioned getting slightly wound up at his attitude.

"What's happened?" Chris questioned suddenly looking very worried.

"Wyatt conjured a dragon, and the Cleaners want to erase him," I said giving him the basic lowdown.

"Why didn't I find out about this earlier?" Chris exclaimed getting up.

"Well you were a bit busy getting to know Natalie, I'm gonna go back to the sisters and try to stop this hell now, could you orb me?" I said all in one breath.

"Cassie…" Chris began.

"Can I come back in now?" Natalie inquired.

I smirked lightly at her, "Of course Nichole I'm just leaving."

"Natalie," She replied back stubbornly.

"Whatever, Chris?" I said waving her off. Chris waved his arm and I was right back at the manor, this time in the attic.

I managed to catch the end of Paige's sentence, "...some piece of him in order to make a vanquishing potion to even work."

"Cassie," Piper greeted me.

"What's the news?" I enquired.

"We're just kind of winging it, we have made the most powerful potion we can," Phoebe explained before doubling over in pain.

"Phoebe!" Paige yelled out running to her side.

"What's the matter?" I asked.

"Actually, a bunch of people aren't okay," Phoebe said breathing deeply.

"People? Like people out there, people?" Piper questioned.

Phoebe shook her head, "I don't know. All I know is I've never felt such pain and fear in my life."

"Sounds like a Dragon to me," I said looking at Piper for instructions.

"Grab the potion. Wyatt, sweetie, come on," Piper said picking Wyatt up, "Remember your friend Mr. Dragon? What do you say we find the dragon?"

We disappeared into a shower of orbs off to save the world again.

Okay, done. Please review and let me know what you think.

Until next time,
