Chapter 11-My three Witches
Hey guys, so let's start this with an apologize. I know I haven't been writing as much as I should have and life just keeps getting in the way. I promise I will try and be better from now onwards. I have a solid idea now where this story is going and when different events will happen so that helps. Anyway I won't keep you any longer. I don't own Charmed, but Cassie is my demon-witch hybrid.
I moved quietly through the tunnels trying not to make a sound to alert the demons around the corner of where I was, I had been hunting them for what felt like forever but was probably only a day or so. They were one of the list of demons that we had flagged as a danger of changing Wyatt, the problem was that I knew if they saw me I would probably not have enough firepower to take them on my own.
I moved close enough to take out the first one when I heard the sound of someone orbing in behind me, I just about had time to push Chris over before the demons noticed us and opened fire, "What are you doing here? Can't you see I'm working?" I questioned him as I pulled us behind a pillar the only thing standing between us and 6 very pissed off demons.
"Piper is in danger and the sisters are ignoring my calls. You were the last opinion," Chris explained to me as I blasted one of the demons, watching satisfied as he turned into ash.
"If you get rid of some of these demons I will help Piper," I offered taking out another one.
Between Chris and I it didn't take long at all for us to get all the demons, once the last one was vanquished Chris grabbed my hand and orbed us back to the manor where Paige, Phoebe and Piper were already cleaning up a massive mess, "What happened?" I asked stepping over the remains of a vase.
"Vortex, whirlpool thing. I don't know, whatever," Piper said with a shrug.
"Well, if it was a whirlpool, there'd probably be some water," Paige pointed out.
Chris looked really annoyed, "The fineries of what almost killed Piper aren't important. The point is she was almost killed and no one was here to help."
"You're right, I'm sorry, I was kind of tied up... or cut in half," Paige apologized.
"You cause me to get caught up in a fire fight," I said with a shrug to Chris, I was not going to say I was sorry for something he had caused.
"And I was interviewing the most fascinating woman," Phoebe smiled.
Piper nodded, "Oh, the orgasm lady. That show was great, at least what I saw of it until the TV was sucked into oblivion. I hope you brought home that book."
Phoebe nodded, but apparently Chris hadn't finished moaning, "Piper, doesn't it bother you had to vanquish that demon alone?"
"Yeah, well, sure, but, you know, we all have lives which is why I need this place cleaned up before my guests arrive," Piper said her hands moving.
"Who's coming?" I asked.
"Mary has designed a fashion line and she wants to show us all," Piper explained.
Paige sighed dramatically, "I love clothes."
"Not so fast, we've got a demon to hunt. If I could just find him in here," Chris pushed.
"Okay, but regardless of what you find in there, I'm gonna hang out with my friends because I will have a normal life if it kills me," Piper exclaimed slamming her hands down on her knees, "Ow," she said looking down at her bandaged hand.
"Piper, why don't you have Leo heal that when he comes to pick up Wyatt," Phoebe asked.
"Because I don't need magic to heal a cut," Piper pointed out.
Paige looked at her in disbelief, "I'd use magic for everything if I could."
"Well, if I had done this fighting a demon that would be one thing. But I did it in the kitchen. The chef did it in the kitchen, so that person will wear this bandage for the shame of it all," Piper argued.
"Well, this book is not going to help us. But I've seen vortexes like that before," Chris said trying to change the subject back to magic.
Paige moved a huge bunch of roses that she had picked up off the floor when she spoke, "You know, this job would be so much easier if there weren't so many roses."
"What's with all the roses?" Piper asked Phoebe.
She shrugged, "I think Jason thinks that he's losing me. And as an empath, I don't know who's feeling what anymore and I just, I have my guard up."
"You should be aware that these vortexes suck their victims into pocket realms of alternate realities," Chris said trying to get attention again.
I completely ignored him, "You know, sometimes guys can be funny like that, you know. The more you pull away, the more they come back at you."
"Yeah, but I'm not pulling away. I really like him," Phoebe pointed out.
Chris interrupted again, "Dangerous alternate realities, people. Based on fantasies, desires, dreams."
"So stop worrying about it and let him wine and dine you. I mean, a little wooing never killed anyone," Piper told Phoebe.
It was only then I register what Chris said, "Fantasies?" I asked him.
He looked slightly relieved that someone was paying him any attention, "Yes a demon can, so can we please, please, let's focus. Piper, you were almost sent to another world that takes serious magic."
"Magic. Brilliant idea. "Let the object of objection become but a dream, as I cause the seen to be unseen."" Paige said and the mess vanished, "Well, call me butter 'cause I'm on a roll."
"Wow, that's much better, thanks Paige," Piper said kindly.
"Yep, well, gotta get back to the temp job. Don't know how much longer those old folks are gonna be alive," Paige said dusting herself off and heading towards the door.
"And I'll walk you out because I have to meet Jason for lunch," Phoebe said following her out.
"No! No, no, no. We have a demon to hunt, get back here," Chris said trying to sound authoritive and failing.
Paige and Phoebe walked out of the door without so much as a backward glance, Piper walked over and rested her head against Chris's shoulder, "You are our new favourite Whitelighter and all, but you need to lighten up."
"No, you three need to get serious, because if you keep putting your personal lives before your wiccan duties, you're gonna pay for it," Chris argued back.
"Maybe so, but not today. I scared away the demon, he's not coming back, I have friends coming, and I also have chocolate chip cookies in the oven," Piper smiled before she left.
Leaving only Chris and me. He turned to face me and I held my hands up, "No."
"But demon…" he began to say.
"You promised me a day off Chris Perry and I need it badly," I said turning to walk out and pausing at the door as I did, "Plus it's fantasy, what's the worst that can happen?"
Famous last words I know. I'm sorry it's been so long but I promise to try and publish more regularly soon, just getting my life in order. Review and let me know what you think.
Until next time,
