Seth POV

Cammie got back in the car with a new found light in her eyes. "All okay?" Zach asked, Alexa turned from where she was sat in the front to look at her, we waited in anticipation.

"All okay." She smiled. "We can pick Bex up on the way and then they'll send us the location of where to meet them, they found a lot of the other girls and the Baxters, and my mum." Zach smiled back and gave her a tight hug, my shoulders relaxed and I looked to Alexa. She grinned at me and nodded, I nodded back. Anne sat awkwardly for a moment staring down the road, her hands on the steering wheel.

"Thank god." Zach and Cammie broke the hug but continued the hold hands and I couldn't help but feel like a third wheel sat in the back. Plus with Anne and Alexa talking in hushed whispers in the front I also felt more like a fifth wheel, like I didn't actually belong here at all, I wasn't part of this group.

"Anne," Cammie began, Anne looked at her. "It would really be appreciated if we could have a lift to Castor Memorial hospital, if you still live there that is." Anne gave Alexa a confirming glance to make sure this is what she wanted to before agreeing.

"I do, and I will." She curled her lips into a smile. "As long as you promise to call more once this is all over." Alexa laughed halfheartedly.

"When this is all over, I'll do more than that. I promise." A tear fell down her cheek and she wiped it quickly away, 'when this is all over', the words she had just spoken echoed in my mind as Anne started the engine and began to drive. Would it ever be over?

I felt the need to give Alexa a hug or squeeze her hand, but I knew it wasn't my place, so I kept still and quite as we drove through the streets of Moon Town and tried to think even though our troubles were not yet over, we were nearing somewhere in the middle, which was good enough for me at the moment. "I know it isn't really my business to pry, but are you guys in any kind of trouble? I don't really want to be an accomplice to something..."

"Don't worry." Was all I said, because no one else would say anything. Alexa looked distraught that she was getting Anne involved in this and Zach and Cammie were too busy talking under their breath and not really paying attention, so it was left to me.

"And who are you again?" I bit the inside of my cheek.

"Erm.." I began.

"That's Seth, he's a friend." Alexa said flatly, staring out of the window at the trees as we past by, her eyelids beginning to droop. Anne shrugged, knowing she wouldn't get anymore than that at the moment.

"You look tired." I said to Alexa, he made a 'hmm' sound and shook her head. "Get some sleep, we'll wake you when we arrive." I lightly put my hand on her shoulder and that seemed to be enough to reassure her, she was old like a light. I leaned back in my seat once more and caught sight of Anne looking at me through the rear view mirror before looking back at the road, I wasn't sure what that meant but I could have sworn she smiled at me.

"What if we can't get Bex?" I heard Zach whisper. "I mean, she was in the ICU last time we checked." Cammie whispered something back a couldn't quite hear.

"Anything you want to share with the class?" I asked half mocking. Zach gave me a small glare and then it quickly vanished as soon as it came.

"We were just thinking about what to do if Bex isn't stable enough to be moved." He said.

"Go back for her once we've rendezvoused with the others at the safe house." I suggested.

"I already thought of that," Zach said with a hint of acid, "but Cammie doesn't want to do that, she thinks that Bex will be the first place Collins will go when he realises that's where we're headed."

"And I'm right." Cammie told him. "If we don't get her now then we'll have a lot more to deal with."

"Then it looks like we'll just have to get there first." I said with a sigh, was nothing ever simple? I looked out my window to the right of me and watched as the brown wooden fences and browning trees merged into one great big line as we left the town and went on the the main roads leading back to Castor village, and hopefully it wouldn't be a long stop there either, I doubted any of us wanted another run in with a member of the Circle Of Cavan ever again. Least of all Cammie I'd suspect.

Even though I wasn't too sure what all the talk about some kind of list was I figured enough to know they had dealt with it before and survived, at least, I hoped everyone had survived the first time. It also made me wonder what the trigger was for Alexa, whatever that meant, something that could help her to remember some list that she had forgotten. I guessed it was a different list from the one Cammie had had locking inside her head, otherwise the Circle wouldn't have gone through nearly this much trouble to try and get both Alexa and Cammie together.

"Did we ever figure out what you two?" I looked the others beside me and gestured to Cammie and Alexa. Cammie shook her head.

"The first time I met Alexa was shortly before Gallagher Academy was gunned down by the Circle. Before that, I didn't even know Soloman had a child, let alone a daughter the same age as me." Cammie said, something about that rang in my head, like I should have figured something out but I hadn't, and it was getting on my nerves.

"There's something I can't figure out..." I said more to myself than the rest of the car.

"Tell me about it." Cammie muttered, putting her head into Zach's chest and closing her eyes. It wouldn't be long before we reached Castor.
