Alexa POV

We saw Zach, Seth and Bex walking quickly out of the hospital. Seth had his arms around Bex in a very intimate, coupley sort of way and although I figured it was because she was still injured I felt a pang of jealously somewhere inside of me. Zach spotted us in our black rented Ford Fiesta and headed hurriedly towards us. Cammie was driving and I was sat in the passengers seat, Cammie waved as they approached and Bex had a broad grin on her face. "Man am I glad to see you." She said as Seth opened the back door up to help her get in safely before climbing in himself behind the driver.

Zach walked around the front to get in behind me and shut the door with a slam. "Where the hell did you pick this up from?" He asked Cammie.

"It's a rental." She stated, turning on the ignition and the car roared to life.

"Did you use the safe account?" Bex asked her friend, shifting her her seat to get comfy. Cammie nodded as we pulled out of the hospital car park, taking a right and heading out of Castor.

"What safe account?" Zach inquired.

"Gallagher Academy's." I answered for her.

"And why didn't we use this earlier?" Seth rolled his eyes.

"We were kind of busy if you didn't notice trying to stay alive and I completely forgot." Cammie told him in annoyance, after already having this conversation with me previously. It looked like Seth was about to make some kind of smart remark so I glared at him, he closed his mouth again.

We drove past the High School and the storage unit in silence, the only sound that could be heard was heavy breathing and occasional cough.

"Do we actually know where we're going?" Me and Cammie both said rather creepily in unison, pausing momentarily to look at each other.

"Erm, I'll call them on the phone Anne gave us." Seth said, noticing the awkward silence forming on both me and Cammie. I looked back at the road, watching the cars roll by past us.

The only sound in the car now was the ringing of the phone in Seth's hand. When someone finally answered we were surprised the hear it was Anna. "Cammie?"

"No it's Seth actually." He said.

"Oh right, is Cammie or Bex there?" We could hear her say quietly.

"I'll put you on speaker." He said and now we could all hear clearly. We heard Anna scrambling frantically a little bit, shuffling papers by the sounds of things.

"Everything okay?" Bex asked sorely. Anna mumbled an 'um hum' and then an 'ah ha' in triumph.

"Do you guys have a map?" I leaned forward and rifled through the glove compartment, past the guns and wads of cash that we placed in there till we found the map Cammie had suggested we buy.

"Go it." I held it up in my left hand.

"Good, I'll tell you the route if you have a pen." I paused, did we have a pen?

Bex stuck her hand in her short pocket and pulled out one of the 4 colour hospital's pens they used in Castor. I took it quickly and told Anna to continue.

She read out the directions written on her own map and I tried to follow the route in black she was saying as Cammie pulled the car up in a semi-empty Tesco parking lot till we were done. I made a couple of errors and had to scribble them out but it was easy enough to figure out the route once she finally told us where the safe house was. I had to fold the map several times to find exactly where we were heading, it was quite a long way away from Castor, we'd have to drive the remainder of the afternoon and most of the night and the next day to make it, it made me thankful we had cash for petrol.

"That should be it, you got it?" Anna double checked with us.

"Yep, should do." I said, finishing with a large X on the location we were heading.

"We should be there by tomorrow at some point." Zach said to her. "Probably sometime after lunch if we drive most of the night." She said okay and then goodbye to all of us before hanging up. Cammie turned the engine back on and indicated out of the car park back onto the main road out of the village and in the direction we were heading.

Two hours later Zach and Bex were drifting off and Seth was trying desperately to stay awake for some reason. Cammie was still driving but even she was getting kind of tired, the nap we had earlier hadn't really done us much good. "Hey," I turned to face him, he gave me a small smile and rubbed his bagged eyes. "Get some sleep, I mean it." He shook his head.

"I'm fine." He lied poorly.

"And I said to get some sleep, or do you want me to hit you with the but of my gun." I said with a grin, he grinned back.

"Yes ma'am." He put his head back on the seat cushion and closed his eyes, soon he was out. I looked back at the map and whispered to Cammie to take the outside lane and turn up the back road around the fields we'd ended up by. It smelled of cow manure and mowed grass but at least it would be miles easier to spot a tail down a single dirt track road.

"Are you sure this can still get us to the safe house?" Cammie asked, slowing down to let a 10 year old girl on a chestnut coloured horse past. I looked back at the other line I had done in red that connected to the one in black but followed more back roads and less crowded places.

"Pretty sure yeah, it'll take slightly longer but we'll avoid all the major roads and traffic jams taking the route Anna gave us." I said, finishing up the red line to the black X that I went over in red.

"Once we get there we can tell them about the list Drew mentioned and how to unlock it from your head." Cammie assured me, following my finger and taking a right, the car bumped over some rocks and I dropped the pen.

"How did you do it?" I asked, bending down to retrieve it off of the car floor.

"A song actually, I'd been humming it for a while before we figured out what it was. The Circle actually kidnapped me and experimented ways to get me to split what I knew." She said.

I swallowed. "Well, lets hope that isn't the only way." We both agreed. After that they drive was mostly in silence throughout the rest of the day and into the earlier hours of the morning.
