YO! This is my first story so it will probably be kind of bad. I dont know much about this website, I just thought of a story and wanted to post it somewhere. This seemed like the place to do it. ENJOY!

I assume you have heard this before, At least once in your life, no one is created equal. If everyone was normal, then maybe everyone would be created equal. But everyone is NOT normal. You see, about 80% of the population has a superpower, known as a quirk. Be it, the ability to control fire, or the ability to hold your breath for longer periods of time. Because of this genetic lottery, its obvious that no man is created with equality in mind. This is a story of a boy who was perhaps one of the most unlucky humans when it came to quirks. His name is Izuku Midoriya.

Izuku is sitting on a chair, spaced out, uncaring of the words coming out of the doctors mouth.

"You're quirkless, boy. I'm sorry but you cannot become a hero."

The boy slowly looks down until he is staring into the eyes of the doctor.

"I know."

"What?"

"I already knew I was quirkless."

The boy continues to stare at the doctor. Admittedly the boy was sad, and he would definitely cry in bed. But in the face of this doctor he would rather die than cry in front of him. The doctor was obviously TRYING to hurt him. The fake, somber, smile. It was too obvious. And the way his eyebrows curved made him look angry. Oh.

"I just gave you the worst news of your life an all you can do is stare at me?"

"Yes, I do not care that I don't have a quirk."

The doctor tried to hold back a grunt. He failed.

"Get out of my office."

It has been 10 years since the visit to the doctors.

Izuku Midoriya is trying his best to be "normal" in his middle school.

The teacher walks in, papers in hand.

"Alright class. I need you too fill out these forms. They are for your future careers."

A chorus of groans are heard around the class.

"Moan and groan all you like, as long as you get these filled out. If you want to be a hero, then cross out the career choice boxes and just write 'hero' on that box there."

"I see that 2 people have signed up for Yuuei."

The green haired boy slowly looks at the teacher before sighing.

"Don't do it." he whispers.

"Bakugo Katsuki. To be expected, but Midoriya? that' a surprise."

The cream haired boy who is known as Bakugo Katsuki flinches before getting up and slamming his hand on Izuku's desk. Which is covered in insults.

"YOU DAMN DEKU! IM THE ONLY ONE IN THIS SHITTY SCHOOL WHO SHOULD GO TO YUUEI!"

The boy stands up and stares Bakugo in the eyes.

"Katsuki, please remove your hands from my de-"

He is cut off by a explosion-powered backhand that cracks through the air and attempts to hit him. Dodging it with relative ease, then returning to his original position.

"Katsuki, public quirk usage is illegal. It could ruin your chances of getting into Yuuei."

"tch, BASTARD!" Bakugo yells with malice so thick its almost tangible.

A fist rockets through the air at Izuku who, again, dodges, and catches Bakugo's arm.

"Yield."

"NEVE-"

Bakugo is cut off by a fist that just barely stops before his face.

"Know when you are beat."

Izuku, who's expression still has not changed, stares at Bakugo, With cold, emotionless, eyes.

"Yield."

Bakugo, still in shock does not say anything.

"MIDORIYA, KATSUKI. STOP, NOW!"

The teacher finally cuts in and reprimands the two. Izuku continues to stare, his expression still has not changed.

Ever since I was 8 I have been unable to express emotion.

Mentally nor physically, I am effectively, emotionless.

I am never surprised, scared, angry, sad, happy...Nothing.

It, makes for a existence that is not very ideal. But I can't control it so I guess that's all I can say about it.

I do not need a quirk to succeed, all I need...is tools.

I will do whatever it takes to achieve my goals. I WILL, become number 1.
