Chapter 16: What in the Ed just happened?!

Scenes from last season fly by as we recap on what happen thus far in the story. The last scene was where we left our heroes, at the end of a crazy party. Was that The phantom is frantically flying through the air with Ed clinch in his claws. Along with Jameston, Jared and Double D holding onto a rope that was attached to the creature's leg.

Ed who was unconscious starts to slip from the grip of the Phantom's claws. Jameston saw this and came up with the idea. "We're going to have to jump for this phantom to stop flying." Jameston said.

"Are you out of your mind?! Do you not see how high we're up in the sky?!" Double D said.

"I agree with Sockhead. Hell No!" Jared said.

"What I mean is that if all three of us jumped to the bottom of the rope. We might can overpower it with our weight." Jameston said. Double D and Jared were skeptical until they saw the Phantom's claws starting to let go of Ed. All three of them jumped down to the end of the rope which made the Phantom start to struggle. Then the Phantom paused in the middle of the air and began to fall from the sky. The three of them all screamed in fear as what they was at the bottom was a big black hole in the ground.

"WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!" Double D screamed.

The hole started to get bigger and bigger, Jameston and Jared look at each other and realize that they skin was starting to peel off. Double D realize he couldn't hear Jameston or Jared's scream anymore. It was like time slowed down as the friends were closing in on death's door. Edd closed his eyes and prayed that this wasn't the end.

Suddenly a beam of light brighten the black hole which led to the group vanishing as the light got bigger.

Season 2

The beam of light drifts away as a close-up on Double D face. Eddward wakes up to shock as his body hops out of the bed. He realizes that he is back at home in his bed. "Wait. How is this possible?" Edd said.

He examine his room before leaving, but once he stepped out he saw that the whole house was thrashed by the party last night. Drinks, Graffiti, debris of the house, cups, almost everything was covered in the smart ed's home. He was so disgusted and enraged. "OH! I told them that this was a bad idea but do they listen?! No! All they care about is-"

"Double D. It's too early to be screaming." Before Edd could continue on his rant, Eddy appeared from the rubble of the party shirtless. Edd runs towards Eddy to comfort him. "Eddy are you alright? You went crazy last night. It was hard to contain you."

"Everything's a blur. All I can remember is that I woke up here." Eddy said.

"EDDWARD!" A voice that shook the spine of Double D was heard.

"Also your parents are here and they look pretty pissed." Eddy said.

Double D soul leaves his body as he slowly walks up to his parents room knowing what type of punishment he's in for.

At the bus stop Jared, Jameston who now have cast on their left arm and right leg and Ed who is his usual self. The three of them see Eddy, who is now fully clothed and clean and Double D who doesn't look in a good mood.

The five friends then stand by the bus stop in silence for a few minutes. Until Jared spoke.

"So. How did everyone sleep last night?" Jared asked.

Another awkward moment of silence happen, this time the four friends saw that Double D was quietly enraged. The silence continues until the bus finally arrives to pick them up.

On their way to school they start to see more of the damage from the party. Houses and buildings were synced, a bunch of trash of cups, beer and even people who were waking up from hangovers plastered the town. "What have we done?" Jameston said.

But the worse was yet to come for the boys because once they reached the school, news reporters from all over the country were covering the school parking lot. The school has never gotten this much capacity ever so all the buses and news trucks were all cluttered into one big mess.

The bus tried to get through the mess but was unsuccessful. He let out the students where he was stuck which was near the entrance way of the school. The students jumped out of the bus to begin their newsworthy school day.

As soon as they open the doors to the school, cameras flickered with their bright flashing lights. Blinding our crew as their identities are exposed. Eddy screamed while Ed grabbed him and Double D trying to drag his friends out of the mess. Jared covered his eyes and ran as fast as he could out of scene with Jameston following.

But the reporters kept tracking the boys every mood like they were prey. Ed tried to be the hero and put his hands out.

"YOU SHALL NOT-" Before he could continue the famous line he was trampled by the reporters. "ED!" The crew yelled.

As the chase continue other students started to cheer on the crew. Eddy and Jared notice this and wave towards their classmates. But were interrupted by an incoming wall, which led their chase to a dead end. Reporters finally cornering them put their mics right in front of the crew face. One microphone actually went into Eddy's mouth.

"Now gentlemen and ladies. I think we can all explain what happened in a proper manner." Double D said. But he also got a mic puts in his mouth and got hit in the back of the head with the boom mic stand. The reporters kept closing in on the crew until a familiar voice emerged from the crowd.

"Hey! Skedaddle you punks! Your making them nervous." It was Chris, Antonio and Ray who were pushing the reporters away.

"Oh no. Anybody but them." Eddy said.

The upperclassmen cleared the scene as the reporters start to walk away. Eddy, Edd, Jameston and Jared tremble in fear as the three people who they screwed over face them for the first time since last night.

"Now, where we're we?" Antonio says as he cracks his knuckles. The three of them edge closer and closer until it was revealed...

"We can't let our new best friends get hounded by the media." Chris says as he gives Eddy and Jameston a noogie. "What the?!" Jared said.

The four of them were so confused on the upperclassmen new persona towards them. "The media can be a nuisance at times. Trust me as being one of the top athletes of this school they'll rip you to pieces in articles if you don't answer their questions right." Ray said.

"But I thought-" Double D try to say something but Eddy and Jameston quickly put their hands on his mouth. "You thought what? We we're mad that you try to pull a trick on us?" Antonio said.

"Look. What we said last night was the truth. We went too far and embarrassed y'all so in our honor we invite you to hang out with us at lunch." Chris said.

"Because as teammates, it's great to build chemistry with one another instead of beefing with each other." Ray says as he carries Ed with him.

"Starlight. Star bright." Ed says.

The upperclassmen then dapped up The Eds, Jameston and Jared and went on their way. As the group waves goodbye Jameston mutters. "This a setup."

"You damn right." Jared said. "There just being nice in order for us to be blindsided when they get their sweet revenge." Eddy said. Suddenly some beautiful blonde haired upperclassmen walk by the crew and blew a kiss to them as they walk away giggling.

"I lied. This is the game-changer for us." Jameston said. "We about to be swimming in popularity with our new-found swagger." Eddy said. "Them snow bunnies looking like a snack. Hey yo! What's y'all numbers?!" Jared said as he ran off. Jameston and Eddy followed him.

Double D sighs in disappointment. "At least I still have you, Ed."

"Don't worry, Double D we're going to be the best of friends for a long time!" Ed said as he hugged Edd. Edd was smiling until he smelt the dim-witted Ed boy's jacket. "GOOD LORD!" He yelled as his skin turned white.

On the other side of the school, Kevin was getting his belongings out of his locker. Once he closes his locker, Cindy was standing in the back of it waiting for him. "You ready to go, my playboy?" She said.

Kevin nodded and the two begin to hold hands as they walk down the hall.

On their way, Kevin sees his good ol' friends Nazz and Rolf. But Cindy pulled Kevin's arm so that couldn't get a chance to talk with them as they kept on walking. "Hey, what're doing?! Those are my friends."

"You want to become a better athlete than Ray right?!" Cindy said. Kevin nodded his head. "Then you must know that before school starts, Ray loves to practice on his game. If you want to beat him you have to have the same amount of mentality just like him except ten times better." Cindy says as she drags Kevin to the gym. He waves bye to Rolf and Nazz as the two were confused on the situation.

"Who is she?" Nazz questioned. "Rolf is also intrigued by this new lady Kevin with?"

Nazz then grabs Rolf to trail the new lovers.

Once Kevin and Cindy got into the gym. They see Ray already making shots at the three-point line. Kevin watches him as Cindy grabs a ball for him. He walks over to Ray as he puts another shot in the basket.

Kevin then ask for a ball and Cindy throws it to him. Kevin shoots and makes it with ease. Ray then picks up a ball and shoots it as fast as he can. The ball swoops in with people cheering Ray in the background.

Kevin brushes it off and puts another ball in the basket, So does Ray, then Kevin, then Ray, then Kevin. The two of them hit barrages of three's one after another. Nobody was missing. Neither of them wanted to give in but suddenly Kevin's ball collided with Ray's and bounces it off the rim.

Kevin ran to rebound it but didn't notice Ray ran too and swatted the ball to other side of the gym. Ray also sees that his ball goes into the hoop and yells with excitement.

"BS! If you would've let me rebound it I could have won." Kevin said.

"Gotta be quick on your feet next time, Junior." Ray said.

He walks away as other upperclassmen hand him a towel and cheer his win. Kevin looked from afar with disgust and muttered in frustration. "Damn it..."

A towel then was thrown onto Kevin's head with him immediately taking it off. He looked around as Rolf put his hand on his shoulders. "No worries Kevin ol' boy. You'll get him next time." Rolf said as Nazz chimed in.

The three of them walk out of the gym together as Cindy looks at them from afar. "Pathetic." She says with an eerie stare.

Soon it was lunch time and The Eds and Jared all had their food in their hands. Suddenly Chris from behind them and hugs Eddy and Ed. "Sup Fresh Meats! Your sitting with us today." Chris says as he takes Eddy and Ed with him.

"I still don't trust their new behavior." Jared said. "Agreed." Double D said.

Things got quiet with Jared and Edd. But Jared cleared the air with this question. "Hey, man something wrong?" Double D answered with a head shake. "No. It's just been a busy day."

"You sure because what happen last night should really be a big deal." Jared said. Double D continue to downplay the question. "I think will be fine for now. Let's just enjoy the day and take on the risk tomorrow." Double D said. He then looks down at his tray. "Oh my goodness I forgot to get water. Tell the fellas to save me a seat." He said as he left.

Jared wasn't sure of Double D's behavior whether he was mad or just happy.

When Edd was going back to get his water someone from behind him spoke into his ear. "Looking for this cutie-pie?" Double D turn around and saw that a water bottle was in someone hands who was behind a wall. Double D questioned it for a minute but proceeded to retrieve his drink.

Back with Eddy and Ed they were laughing at some of the jokes the upperclassmen were saying.

"So these two guys come up to us claiming that they were Alphas. I told them prove it and the first thing one of them do is tackle Chris. This boy immediately starts crying and apologizing and that made Chris mad so he started chasing these fools around the field until I tackle them back while one of them was running." Antonio said.

The crew laughs as the story continues. "Those boys were Betas! Ain't had no pussy in years. Dropped to the floor crying like Tyrese Gibson!"

"What more do you want from me?!" Chris and Antonio said as everyone laughed. Eddy and Ed join in on the laughter. "I don't get it." Ed said.

"Me either, Ed just smile and laugh with it." Eddy said.

Jared then approached the table with his tray. Eddy ask where Double D went and told him that he went to go get something. Speaking of Double D.

Double D was trying to track down the person with the water but they were too quick for Edd to see their appearance. Edd then starting to slow down due to his poor athleticism. "Curse these scrawny legs of mine." Edd then lays on the as he reaches his limit.

Suddenly water was split all over his face. He coughs most of it up and wipes his face. "Come on what's the big idea?!' Double D says. But when he looked back all he saw was a familiar face.

It was Marie Kanker who smile and hugged him very tight. "I knew you were come crawling to me sooner or later." Marie said. She then notice that Double D wasn't in the mood for her antics. He looked depressed and really annoyed. "Something wrong sweetums?!" Marie said.

Double D then calmy grabbed Marie's arm from his waist and started to walk away from her. She quickly caught up to him to see what was up.

"Did I do something wrong?" Marie said. He then turn to her but kept on walking. "It's nothing."

Then Marie grabbed him by the arm and punched Edd's shoulder. "OW! What was that for?" Edd said.

"Come on! My mother said if something is on your mind release it physically. Or did she mean verbally?" Marie said.

Since there was nowhere for him to go he got the confidence to tell her by first letting out a huge sigh. "My parents grounded me for a month because I threw a party." Marie once again punches Edd in the shoulder. "It's about time you let your wild-side free."

"Well you can say that but even know I agree to the idea it still ended with me getting into trouble. Plus now the upperclassmen have befriended us, lord knows if they're faking it or not. Not to mention the whole country probably saw my face on the news. My reputation already ruined." Double D said.

Marie then stood there for a minute and proceeded to approach Edd which frighten him a little bit. But Marie only went for another hug. This time with less aggression but more amorous. She ends the hug by putting on a huge smile on her face. Double D was freaked out and left the scene with the half-empty water bottle.

"Thanks again." Double D said running off.

"No, Thank you." Marie said as she continue to smile.

END

Once Again thank you all for the wait. I know this was a long time coming but I was starting to get bored of doing Fanfics again which is why this season hasn't released. As of now this is the only episode that's done. I apologize to anyone who was waiting on Season 2 to drop. It might be 2024 or you never know.

I'm trying to get my life together for the future so that's the first order of business. Once I do I will come back and Finish this story!
