Why the hell did I ask her for the date!
What the hell was I thinking?
Why was I trying to make things more complicated than they already were!
And I should be careful to make a single bad move right now. How could I be so stupid!
Tanya would make the worst of it for everyone if I ever ended up doing something stupid like that. That bitch was not going to let me go easily anyway!
She had made up her mind to snatch away most of my properties. And now we knew for sure she was going to use Carlie to portray me as a guy of bad character, and well, there was nothing I could do about it there. The good part was, Bella had refused to give any statement against me!
Should I just give up and gave that bitch whatever the fuck she wanted?
I was still young. Wouldn't it be better to start everything afresh?
Was this battle even worth it?
I didn't know!
I didn't know anything anymore!
I felt like I was losing my mind!
I guess I needed to go somewhere and reflect what the fuck I was doing with my life!
Maybe I needed a fucking therapy or something?
I mean, I needed to do something quick, or Carlie would hate me for sure once she starts understanding everything!
God!
She was growing up so quickly!
When would I get a chance to spend more time with her?
Bella should have told me... Why did she hide it from me! Didn't she have any trust in me?
No, stop right there!
There was no point going round and round about this!
Whatever was done, well, there was no way to undo it.
I was stupid enough not to understand what she was going through, and maybe that started all the problems.
If I really wanted to make things right this time, maybe I needed to put in some real efforts to understand her instead of going to her with bullshit ideas!
But she was right about one thing... I needed to get the fucking divorce first!
"I'm getting tired. I think I'm ready to let it go. Let her take whatever the fuck she wants." I called Marcus.
"No way! There is no fucking way I'm going to lose my case only because you got tired, alright?" He said.
"Sometimes I forget that my friend is my lawyer. C'mon! I'm your client. You should listen to me." I joked.
"It's the other way around. You're my client and you listen to me." he said, "We're on the right track. We're trying to save your properties and we will. C'mon... Don't lose hope now."
"I don't know..." I sighed, "I'm not sure if it's really worth anything."
"Edward... I know it can be tiring and also frustrating... But we're almost there. We'll get there. Trust me." he said.
"Three more months, and then that's it." I said, "I want to set some deadlines now. It's been going on for too long now."
"Three months? Ummm... That's great! That works for me." he said.
"You always sound so confident, man! I can't tell whether it's actually going to work or you're just bluffing around," I chuckled.
"It will work this time. Trust me." he said.
"Okay, let's see." I said.
