It was early morning when the girls gave up trying to sleep. They quietly got up to not wake Dean, quickly getting ready. They decided to go find a place to get breakfast, hoping bringing Dean something back might cheer him up. They left a quick note in case he woke up and got worried before heading off. Sam had not yet returned and so as they walked they tried calling his phone, but there was no answer. The girls were worried about what this argument meant for them, this argument was their fault, and they felt terrible. Questions swirled in their heads as they walked quietly, barely saying a word. Would Sam come back? Would Dean leave them with Bobby or just leave them in the middle of nowhere to fend for themselves? How was Dean back from hell? Why was he there in the first place? What was that about torturing souls? What was this physic stuff that Dean was talking about and who was Ruby? Did they really mean all of the stuff they had said or was it just the heat of the moment? They knew each other well enough to know what the others were probably thinking about. Speaking wasn't necessary till they reached a cafe to buy breakfast.

"What are we going to get Dean?" Samantha asked looking at the array of pastries.

"Coffee" Beth said

"Food wise?" Samantha asked rolling her eyes at Beth's sarcastic comment "and don't say edible food, now is not the time to joke"

"Yeah I can tell" Beth muttered

"Get him what he usually has" Jess said

"We have a kitchen why don't we go to the Walmart down the road and make him a fry up" Beth suggested smiling at her plan "after I get that berry smoothie" she added pointing to a smoothie. Once the girls had got their smoothies they walked down to Walmart to buy eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and beans.

"This is gonna be a big fucking breakfast" Samantha stated while they were leaving the store. "Probably should have got Dean a coffee or something" she added.

"Got it" Jess said pulling a bag of instant coffee out of the bag she was carrying.

"Well done Jess" Samantha said smiling at her. Once the girls were back at the motel they started the fry up on the shitty little oven they had in their room. Dean was still fast asleep and the girls were trying their hardest to be quiet so they didn't wake him.

"Do you think Dean will leave us on our own?" Samantha asked worried "like now that Sam's gone will Dean still want us around?"

"Are you stupid?" Jess asked "do you think he'd really leave us by ourselves?"

"Like Dean doesn't want us around as it is" Beth joked "kidding he love us, how can you not we're adorable"

"Not the time to joke Beth" Samantha snapped at Beth "but you know what I mean, like Sam's gone, Deans not gonna be in the greatest of moods will he really keep us around?"

"Dean is never in the greatest of moods, Sammie" Jess said smiling at Samantha "the worst he'll do its take us to Bobby's he's not gonna leave us unprotected otherwise Cas would smite his ass"

"Okay but what about the hell thing?" Samantha whispered glancing at the still sleeping Dean

"Well I know about as much as you probably less because I zone out a lot" Beth said smiling "but anyway you'll have to ask him" she added when Samantha glared at her for trying to be funny.

"I don't want to he'll probably kill me" Samantha said, true terror on her face.

"Then I guess we'll never know" Jess said shrugging checking the hash browns "the main question is who the hell is Ruby? Is she Sam's secret girlfriend?"

"Is she a demon?" Beth asked cracking eggs into a pan "because if she is Sam really needs to sort out his priorities"

"You're telling me" Dean said from his bed stretching

"Fuck. Dean. Why?" Beth yelled dropping an egg in shock.

"Aw you egg head" Jess said to Beth.

"You can clean that up" Beth told Dean pointing at the egg on the floor.

"What are you three doing?" Dean asked looking at the messy kitchen.

"Making breakfast, we thought you would like some" Jess smiled plating the food while Beth poured a few cups of coffee.

"Thanks" Dean said smiling slightly at the girls before shovelling the food into his mouth. The girls smiled and ate their breakfast. The girls packed up the room while Dean went and showered. By the time they were ready to leave it was almost lunchtime so they pulled into the diner and grabbed some food for the road. The girls piled into the back of the Impala while Dean sat in the front.

"You girls realise one of you can sit in the front" He pointed out.

"Dibs!" Samantha yelled climbing from the middle to the front. Dean glared at her because she got mud on the seat. "if I didn't do it this way I would not have got in the front and did you really want to sit next to Beth or Jess for the next fifteen hours?" Samantha asked doing her seat belt up. Dean went to argue but then nodded in agreement causing the two girls in the back to argue, Jess kicking the back of Samantha's seat.

"This is gonna be a long drive" Beth stated pulling her phone out of her pocket to put her headphones in to listen to her music, Jess following her lead.

"You wanna explain what last night was?" Samantha asked realising that the other two were going to be listening to their music the whole way to Bobby's.

"What do you want to know?" Dean asked reluctantly knowing that Samantha wouldn't give up until she got the answers that she wanted.

"Did you go to hell? Who's Ruby? How did you get out of hell?" She asked deciding that was enough questions and would get her the information that she wanted.

"I sold my soul to bring Sam back, Cas brought me back from hell, and Ruby is a demon bitch who Sam has been working with" Dean answered quickly not wanting to go into much detail.

"What have they been working on?" Samantha asked deciding not to ask any more questions about hell seeing that Dean was uncomfortable talking about it.

"Ruby has been teaching him about his stupid powers he has and how he can kill Lilith" Dean said gripping the steering wheel in anger so tightly that his knuckles were going white.

"Oh, okay" Samantha said not wanting to ask any more questions about it seeing how angry Dean was getting.

"We're going to stop in El dorado, Kansas for the night then carry on straight through to Bobby's in the morning" Dean told Samantha. Samantha nodded staring out the window thinking over what Dean had told her. The girls had powers similar to Sam, could they kill Lilith? Could they stop Sam doing what he's doing, but she didn't know if they could and knew Dean wouldn't let them do it, because it would be dangerous.

...

"Hey Dean, were we on the road to El Dorado?" Beth asked as they pulled up to a motel in El Dorado. Dean smirked turning the engine off. Jess laughed loudly getting out of the Impala. Samantha rolled her eyes.

"Enjoy the front, Sammy?" Jess asked stretching her legs

"Yup" Samantha said happily

"Fuck you" Beth muttered also stretching her legs as well. Samantha just smiled happily.

"Shot gun front for the rest of the way" Jess said quickly before Beth could say anything.

"Fuck you also" Beth said angrily as Dean came out of the reception block with the keys to their room.

"You girls hungry?" he asked

"There is a 99.9 per cent chance that I am" Beth stated. Dean rolled his eyes at Beth.

"Grab your stuff and take it to the room. Then we'll go find a diner." Dean said opening the trunk and grabbing out his duffel bag. The girls grabbed their stuff following Dean to the motel room and putting their bags on whatever bed they wanted to claim.

"Shotgun!" Beth called as she dropped her bag running for the Impala.

"Can we walk my legs are all stiff?" Jess whined while Beth glared at her wanting her chance in the front seat.

"Sure" Dean said putting the car keys back in his pocket "yeah I know fuck you" he said before Beth could even open her mouth

"That's a naughty word Dean, I would never say that I was going to say what a good idea" Beth said smiling at Dean causing the others to laugh and she skipped ahead of them. They arrived at a diner ten minutes later, sitting in a booth in the back corner.

"This is cute." Jess joked. Dean glared at her and the other two girls laughed. They looked at the menu, the girls quickly deciding they wanted a Panini each. The waitress made her way over, her eyes only for Dean.

"What can I get you, sir?" she asked

"Two crumbed chicken bacon barbeque and brie Panini's" Jess said but the waitress completely ignored her.

"Chicken cranberry and brie Panini" Beth said the waitress still ignoring her.

"Two crumbed chicken bacon barbeque and brie Panini's and one chicken cranberry and brie Panini" Jess said louder than the other girls trying to get the waitress' attention.

"I was asking him" The waitress snapped gesturing to Dean.

"Excuse-moi" Beth yelled shocked causing the girls to look at her shocked "your rudeness shocked me so much I went French." She finished the girls tried hard not to laugh at her and Dean cracked a small smile, the waitress glared at Beth.

"So two crumbed chicken, bacon barbeque and brie Panini's one chicken cranberry and brie Panini and what would you like sir?" she asked Dean angrily

"Bacon cheese burger with extra bacon and three lemonades and a black coffee" he said. The waitress smiled writing all of it down on her notepad and stormed away from their table. As soon as she was out of earshot the girls cracked up laughing. Dean shook his head smiling.

"Your rudeness shocked me so much I went French" Samantha repeated loudly laughing. The girls continued laughing until the waitress brought over their drinks. She glared at them and slammed the drinks down on the table spilling some of their lemonade

"Excuse moi?" Jess said between laughter causing the waitress to storm off Dean shook his head at the girls silently to stop.

The next morning when everyone was awake Dean sent the girls to get breakfast while he showered; they walked to the same dinner they were eating at the night before to get coffees.

"I talked to Dean" Samantha said as they were crossing a road.

"That's nice dear, I also talked to Dean this morning" Beth said sarcastically pulling Samantha back to the pavement out of the way of a car.

"No like in the car yesterday, I asked him about the argument he and Sam had" Samantha said frustrated checking the road for cars before continuing to cross the road.

"What'd you ask him?" Jess asked

"How he got into hell and out and who Ruby is" Samantha answered as they reached the diner

"Yeah but what did he say?" Beth asked looking at the menu of breakfast food and smoothies

"He didn't say much about hell just that he sold his soul to bring Sam back and Cas brought him back. But Ruby is a Demon who Sam's been working with on his psychic powers so that he can kill Lilith, which got me thinking, if our powers are anything like Sam's could we kill Lilith and stop Sam doing it?" she asked looking hopeful.

"I don't think so Sammie" Beth said sadly, it was a nice idea but they all knew their powers were different than Sam's he could exorcise demons all they could do was move objects and on occasion kill demons which seemed to take it out of them, and Dean wouldn't let them anyway.

"I guess" Samantha said looking at the ground

"It's a nice idea but you know the boys wouldn't let us" Jess said. The girls fell silent; they quickly ordered coffees and something for Dean, waiting in silence till their coffees were ready before heading back to the motel. The walk back was quiet too, the girls not knowing what to say. The past few days hadn't exactly been the happiest, and they were feeling absolutely exhausted. They weren't looking forward to the rest of the car ride to Bobby's, or the memories that might come along with being back at his place, but it would be nice to see Bobby again. He had become a father figure to the girls, and although they drove him insane, they knew he cared about them too. When they reached the motel, they walked past the Impala parked in front of their room, that old car, they loved it. They had begged Dean to drive it once, but after his reaction they were too scared to ever take the chance, thinking they might crash his beloved baby as he called it.

"Honey we're home!' Beth called out the girl's usual greeting after being out.

"Don't call him honey that's weird." Samantha said putting the coffees on the table.

"Fine, babe we're home" Beth said smirking at Samantha.

"That's even weirder." Samantha said giving Beth a glare.

"Honey it is then" Beth said smiling.

"Are we gonna ignore the fact that we got no answer?" Jess asked

"Dean?" Samantha called out, confused. They waited but there was no answer.

"Honey?" Beth called "this isn't funny, I hate hide and seek, I always lose"

"Maybe he's in the shower." Samantha suggested.

"Do you hear the shower running?" Jess asked turning to look at Samantha

"No I'm not stupid." Samantha replied putting her hands on her hips.

"Well" Beth said smiling at Samantha, but stopped as soon as Samantha glared at her "okay, maybe he's gone for a walk" she suggested

"Yeah, we should phone him" Jess suggested

"He left the Impala" Samantha said

"Wouldn't be the first time" Jess said dialling his number only to have his phone ring from beside his bed

"He left his phone" Samantha pointed out "he never does that" she said walking over to pick it up.

"Maybe he's getting forgetful in his old age" Beth joked

"He left the keys." Samantha said picking up the keys beside his phone.

"Oh fuck" Beth said shocked. It wasn't like Dean to just up and disappear without his keys.

"Okay lets phone Sam" Jess suggested "you two salt the windows and door and draw a devils trap, go" Jess said dialling Sam's number as Samantha grabbed the salt and Beth got to drawing a devils trap. The phone rung for a while, the girls began to think maybe he wouldn't pick up, when he suddenly answered.

"Sam, Deans gone missing!" Jess yelled down the phone over whatever Sam was saying. A faint what? could be heard by the other girls.

"We're at a motel in El Dorado. We left to go get breakfast and when we came back Dean was gone, he left his keys and his phone and the Impala's still here." Jess said slightly calmer.

"Okay, calm down, if the keys are there, you guys drive the Impala straight to Bobby's only stop if you desperately need to I'll meet you there" Sam said trying to calm them down.

"He'll kill us!" Jess cried.

"Just do it" Sam said before hanging up. The girls quickly stopped what they were doing, stuffing all their belongings into their bags, quickly grabbing Deans duffle bag. They headed out to the car, quickly stuffing their bags in the trunk. Jess decided to drive for the first part of the journey, Samantha in shotgun and Beth in the back.

"It's actually surprisingly roomy back here without you two" Beth commented spreading out.

"Jess slow the fuck down do you want to crash this car?" Samantha yelled.

"Sorry, sorry" Jess said slowing down.

"Should we call Bobby?" Samantha asked after a moment.

"I don't know? Maybe? Sam might beat us there and explain anyway. He didn't say how far away he was." Jess replied her eyes focussed on the road. They drove in silence for a few minutes before Beth spoke up from the back.

"Sammie put some music on." Beth said.

"Okay" Samantha said grabbing one of Dean's cassette tapes putting it in. The eight hour drive was mostly spent in silence. The girls didn't dare stop except to switch drivers once they got tired, too afraid of what might find them or someone ruining Dean's car. They listened to Dean's cassette tapes occasionally singing along rather averagely. The girls couldn't wait to see Sam and Bobby, but they couldn't stop thinking about what might have happened to Dean. Was he okay? Would they see him again?

They arrived at Bobby's late to find Sam hadn't yet arrived. Bobby came running out as soon as he heard the Impala pull up.

"Hey Bobby" Samantha called out. The other girls getting the bags out of the boot.

"Sam called, said you were coming. You girls alright?" Bobby asked worry clear on his face.

"We're fine Bobby." Jess said handing Samantha her bag.

"Have you heard from Dean?" Samantha asked hopeful. Bobby just shook his head.

"Come on lets go inside. Sam should be here soon." Bobby said leading the girls inside. They sat in the study, and the girls explained to Bobby what had happened in Oklahoma. They told him about the boy's argument, about their powers. When Sam arrived they told them about the morning, when they came back to find Dean had disappeared leaving everything behind with no explanation. They all considered what they could do, and what might have happened to Dean.

"Maybe the demons got him as a bargain for us." Beth suggested.

"No I don't think so, Dean would have put more of a fight up, and demons wouldn't clean their mess. You said the motel room was exactly like it had been when you left?" Sam asked.

"Yeah except Dean must have packed his duffel bag when we were out." Jess answered.

"Have you called Cas?" Bobby asked. "He could probably find Dean." Bobby added.

"Why didn't we think of that earlier?" Samantha muttered more to herself than anyone.

"Uh Cas…" Sam began before a flutter of wings was heard. They all turned to look at Castiel, noticing the serious look on his face.

"Dean's in the hospital in Wyoming. We took him to help us."

"He's what?" Beth cried out.

"Take me to him" Sam demanded.

"The girls…" Castiel began.

"You left the girls by themselves in El Dorado when you took Dean. They'll be fine with Bobby. Now take me to him." Sam yelled slightly angry. Castiel nodded walking over to Sam and placing his hand to Sam's head. A flutter of wings was heard before Sam and Castiel were gone.

"Well uh…" Bobby began not knowing what to say. "We'll talk to Sam later. Maybe make our way there tomorrow. Let you girls rest up." Bobby said. The girls nodded, worrying about how Dean was. The girls cooked themselves some food, before going to sleep in their old room. They were exhausted and desperately needed a good night's sleep.

The next morning the girls headed downstairs quietly so they didn't wake Bobby, but he was already awake and ready to go and see Sam and Dean.

"You ready girls?" He asked. They turned to look at him, their hair sticking up in all directions and still in their pyjamas.

"Do we look ready?" Jess asked folding her arms.

"We'll go get ready" Samantha said heading back upstairs with the other two following. Once they were ready they followed Bobby to his car, Jess running to sit shotgun and Samantha and Beth climbing in the back. They only stopped once during the eight hour drive for food and to stretch their legs. Once they reached Cheyenne Wyoming they went straight to the hospital deciding to check into a motel later.

When they got to Deans room, the found him sitting in his bed looking rather sad, Sam was nowhere to be seen. When Dean saw the girls he smiled at them.

"Alright, Dean?" Beth asked

"Stupid question" Jess said hitting her over the head.

"It's a fucking greeting" Beth stated hitting Jess back.

"Guys stop it" Samantha yelled causing Dean to laugh at them then groan in pain.

"Sorry can't stop the funny, it just happens" Beth said smiling at Dean "don't laugh at that" she added quickly when he smiled.

"What happened?" Bobby asked sitting in the spare chair in the room.

"Cas and that douche bag angel Uriel showed up and took me to some bullshit warehouse, where they wanted me to interrogate some demon" Dean explained trying to look convincing. He couldn't tell them about Alistair.

"So how'd ya end up in the hospital Dean?" Bobby asked not quite convinced.

"Angels don't know how to make a stupid Devils Trap" Dean covered, he couldn't tell the girls he broke the first seal, that he's the reason their families are dead, the reason they were being hunted, he didn't want them to hate him, it was selfish but true, if the girls hated him he didn't know what he'd do. They were like the little sisters he never wanted but he loved them all the same even if they were the most annoying people he'd ever met.
