Hello all. I would like to thank White-Knight-066, darkeyesgirl and SummerMistedDragon for the lovely reviews. I would also like to thank those of you who have followed and favoured this story since my last update you guys are totally awesome.
Okay so this is again set in episode 4 of season 9 'Slumber Party.' And I would just like to say that yes I might be playing with the timings slightly from this episode but it works for this story so I hope you don't mind too much.
Also I apologise for my attempt at spelling the sound effects, it was kinda the best I could do.
Anyway enjoy.
Disclaimer: I don't own Supernatural.
Dean woke the next morning, rolled out of his nice comfy bed and hearing voices come from the library made his way there. The sight that greeted his eyes woke him very quickly. There in a clear space stood Charlie with the (very sharp) sword from the side in her hand and opposite her was Cas holding his angel blade.
"So you wave the sword around like this and go zjuem, zjuem like the noises the lightsabers made in the movies last night." He heard Charlie say to Cas not that he was really listening. Instead he was seething. He was all ready to go over then and yell at the both of them demanding to know what the hell they thought they were doing when he caught movement out of the corner of his eye. Turning he saw Gabriel sitting at the table with his feet up on it. Of course Gabriel would be here. No doubt this was all his damn idea. With that he stormed over to the archangel.
"What the hell is going on Gabe?" He demanded through gritted teeth, though he kept his voice down not wanting Cas to hear them arguing again.
"What does it look like Dean-o? Charlie's teaching Cassie to play." Gabriel replied with a smirk up at the pissed off Winchester.
"With weapons!" Dean exclaimed outraged.
"It's not like either of them are going to hurt the other." Gabriel responded reasonably which seemed only to infuriate Dean even more.
"You don't know that Gabe. What happens if one of them gets hurt by accident?" Dean screeched all thought of keeping his voice down gone.
"Well then I could heal Charlie and the only weapon that can hurt Cas is the one in his hand, and I don't imagine he'll be letting that one go. So no harm no foul." Gabriel replied still in his reasonable voice though now there was a slight edge to it. It wasn't like he would let Cas or Charlie get hurt. He wasn't that careless.
"no Gabriel, that doesn't-"Dean was suddenly cut off by the sound of someone clearing their throat turning he came face to face with Sam giving him his bitchface and Charlie glaring at him with her arms crossed.
"What?!" He demanded. Why were they looking at him as if he was the one in the wrong. He was just trying to keep them all safe damn it.
"I'm pretty sure the download will be done now." was all Charlie said before she gently laid the sword on the table in front of Gabriel and smiling at the two angels made her way out of the room with Sam and Dean following behind.
After mother-Dean (as Gabriel had taken to calling him at times like these) had left Gabriel turned to his brother to see Castiel frowning. Sighing at Dean's stupidity he smiled at the fledgling.
"Hey Cassie, don't worry about Dean-o he's just over protective." Gabriel said with a smile hoping to make his brother happy again.
"Dean is correct that Charlie could have got hurt but that is not what is worrying me." Castiel replied the frown still in place.
"Then what is kiddo?" Gabriel asked gently.
"Why would Charlie want me to make strange noises while I fight? It makes no sense, surely when fighting all your concentration should be on winning rather than making noises." Castiel replied honestly confused by this idea.
At that Gabriel could help it, he had to laugh. Picking his brother up and putting on his knee he just kept laughing, or at least he did until he heard Dean yell his name from the direction they had come. And that yell wasn't one of annoyance or anger. That was the yell of Dean in trouble. And if Dean was in trouble then they were all in trouble. Without a second thought Gabriel grabbed his brother and his angel blade and ran from the room towards the direction of Dean's shout.
Charlie, Sam and Dean entered the computer room. There was a tension between them created by Dean's reaction to the morning's event, but that soon disappeared when they saw that there seemed to be something growing behind the shelves.
"What the hell?" Dean muttered as he and Sam moved the shelves while Charlie hung back. He then pulled out his knife to open the thing that had grown on the wall only to have a woman fall out. At that he shout Gabriel's name. Not that he thought they would need the archangel but if you got one to hand they were damn useful backup to have. As discovered when he was fighting Abaddon.
Gabriel came running in with Castiel behind him and two angel blades in his hand only to see a woman slowly sitting up on the floor.
"What in dads name?" He asked the assembled people but none of them paid him any attention. Assessing the situation he realised there was no immediate danger and as such returned Castiel's blade to him and pulled him close then he settled in to find out what was going on.
The woman who had come out of the cocoon was Dorothy, as in The Wizard of Oz Dorothy, Gabriel thought that was priceless. And when he heard that the Wicked Witch was now running round the bunker he became almost giddy with glee. I mean how often did you get to fight the Wicked Witch?
"Okay Sam and I'll hunt down the witch and Gabe you protect Cas and Kevin." Dean said once he had assessed the situation. But before he and his brother could move it seemed the archangel had other ideas.
"Yeah no I don't think so Dean-o." Gabriel replied pleasantly.
"Why the hell not?" dean asked he was getting frustrated now.
"Because Sammy-o isn't at full fighting strength. And won't you prefer to have an archangel watching your back? You brother can watch Cassie and Kev." Gabriel replied reasonably. There was no way Dean-o was not letting him go on this hunt. The freaking Wicked Witch.
"Fine, come on then." And with that Dean and Gabriel left. Dean resigned to his new hunting partner and Gabriel practically skipping.
Sam turned to Cas. "Come on Cas lets go protect Kevin." He said holding his hand out for the fledgling to take. Which Castiel did with a nod. He knew that is Sam couldn't protect them then he would need to, and he was ready.
Once all the boys had left Dorothy turned to Charlie. "Archangel?" she asked completely confused by the conversations that had just taken place. And since when did the men of letters have children with blades in their bunker?
"It's complicated." Was all Charlie could think to reply. Now was not the time to explain the Winchester family to an outsider so instead she changed the subject to the case at hand. Namely finding ways to hurt the Wicked Witch and as such she brought up the idea of the poppy bullets and her and Dorothy went off to make them.
