Chapter 3 ~ Unexpected

The week went by fast and it was already Friday. The blonde stood ub and grabbed her clothes as usual and tool a shower before heading to work.
When she ate something and brushed her teeth she left the house, ready to head to work.
When she was walking down the street she remembered what happend in this week. So many things went through her mind.
Was it fate that she met Natsu almost a week ago?
She smiled when she remembered that that idiot asked her every day at work if she would like to go eat something with him. And yes he was at her work every day. Gray once said to her that Natsu came so often because of her. But Lucy herself didn't thought that since everyone knew and liked Natsu. So it isn't unusual that a good friend of all visit them at work, was it?
When she stood in front of the door from her work she saw the said of pinkette standing in front of the building obvious waiting of something.
The beauty walked over to him.
"Mornin' Natsu. Are you waiting for someone?"
"Morning Luce, you're already here! Yeah I felt like waiting for my partner" he grinned while scratching the back of his head.
"The lets get going, huh?" she smiled to him and he nodded.
They walked inside together and soon they were greeted by Mira, Erza, Levy and Gray. Juvia was hiding behind some wall murmuring something.
"Morning guys what's up here?" The blonde asked her friends.
"We're just wondering because the two of you walked in together" Levy teased.
But Lucy stayed cool "yeah Natsu was waiting outside and joined when I arrived so-" she was cut off by Mira.
"He waited until you arrived! Isn't that cute? You two would make a really cute couple together!" She sqealed while Lucy sighed.
Juvia heard that, murmuring: "when love rival has another one .. that means Juvia can have Gray all for herself!"
Erza joined the conservation "Yeah seems like Natsu finally found someone."
The scarlet haired beauty smiled at the two.
"Are you two already a couple?" Gray asked out of all sudden.
"N-No!" Lucy blurted out while Natsu grinned his toothy grin of his.
"But Lu-chan you two would be the perfect couple together! You know everyone in work says that! And you know you told me the day after you met Natsu that you think he's handso-" Lucys hand grabbed her mouth; stopping the bookworm in her sentence.
"L-Levy-chan!" The blonde called out her best friend, her face red like a tomato.
"So so you called me handsome, huh?" Natsu started and it was killing her that everyone was teasing the blonde with that stupid topic.
"Tch as if I would have said that .. " she defend and tried to change the topic "anyways I should start working, otherwise I'm not finishing it."
"Yeah let's start work! Im all fired up!" Natsu shouted.
"Since when are you working here Natsu?"
Lucy asked the one who became her best friend in less than a week.
"Since I met you. I thought since we have so much fun together, why not?" He smiled sweetly letting the blonde's heart melt.
She nodded and smiled back and they started working.
In their break they headed to some chinese restaurant. Natsu ordered almost everything that was spicy and hot while Lucy ordered noodles with curry.
When they went home they started laughing
"... and have you seen the face the man in the restaurant made when I said I want some more souce to make it more spicy and hot?" He laughed and Lucy was already holding her belly.
"Yeah and then you order more food with more souce; the waiter was speechless,I tell you!.." Lucy stopped when she looked up to the sky. It began to rain and it took them 10 minutes until she would arrive her home,Natsu 2 more minutes since his house isn't that far away from her.
The raindrops met the floor,leaving the place wet. Far away Lucy could hear the thunder.
"Let's hurry!" She grabbed Natsu's hand and walked faster with him but it began raining fast..
When Lucy saw a lighting she screamed and run into the park that was not far away Natsu following.
She sat down on the floor, trembling.
She heard someone call her name but ingnored it, too afraid to even open her eyes that she closed when she saw the lighting before.
Again this voice calling her name. She didn't dare to move she was too afraid.
"Lucy!" Now she felt the tears that streamed down her face but she didn't dare to look up.
"Lucy?" Natsu called for her but she didn't move.
"Hey Luce" worried he kneelt down to her side grabbing her shoulders with both of his hands and she looked up, her eyes wide open. The tears just couldn't stop to stream down her face.
"Luce. Hey Luce, look it's me. It's me, Natsu." he said grabbing her face with his hands so that she has no choice but looking into his eyes.
She flung her arms around the man's shoulders.
"Natsu..."
"Hey Luce I'm here. I'm not going anywhere." The man tried to calm down the blonde and helped her stood up. He held her close but she was still trembling and clung herself onto Natsu's arm. Every time she saw a lightning or heard a thunder the grip around Natsu's arm tightened.
Both were already wet when they arrived at Lucys apartment.
Natsu opened the door for her - he knew where the key in her bag was. Inside he went to the bed with her and she took a seat but looked onto the floor. The storm was already far away but you still could hear the thunder far away.
"You should take a shower after the storm. We're totally wet from the rain." Natsu started the conservation but no response.
He couldn't even see the beauty's face.
"Anyways I should be leaving, good night Luce" he was about to turn around when he heard Lucy shout "Wait!".
She stood up and grabbed his hand shivering "Don't go.. . Don't let me alone"
"Hey Luce I'm here you see? If you want I can stay that night,you don't have to be afraid of thunder, alright?" He grinned and she nodded smiling and that made the man happy after he tried so many things so see her beautiful smile again.
The first who took a shower was Lucy. Right after that she crawled into her bed unser her blanked snuggling to it while waiting Natsu to finish.
But when Natsu opened the door from the bathroom, the blonde already has fallen asleep. He laid his self into her bed as well; his arms around her female best friend, as if he wanted to protect her from everything. Lucy snuggled to his warmth, feeling safe.
It's not that bad being afraid of thunder, is it?

Urgh you know I have no time and I've written this chapter while I was driving with the train. Seriously I try my best to update fast and I know – I totally failed.
