He clicked his beak in irritation, why had he decided to do this? Oh right, he really wanted to court Nysh but was this really the right thing to do? Maybe it was and maybe it wasn't but it was too late to change his mind now. There was no way to back out, he landed on the beasts tail and waited only to see Revali exiting the divine beast.
"He'll be out in a moment," Revali said before flying off. Munsezo stood there, it was awkward to wait but at least the wait wasn't too long.
"Alright what's the plan?" Link asked. The other looked ready for anything, Munsezo wasn't sure how to explain his plan. He just wanted to get the early hunt finished, so he could spend the remainder of the day flying to the Domain.
"We hunt," Munsezo answered. Link nodded but gave him a raised eyebrow as though concerned.
"We are going to hunt quite a bit of prey this time, am I right?" Link asked. He nodded but wasn't sure why the other was asking. "Okay I know a really good spot, you'll just have to trust me. It is however a lot farther from the village than the hunting spot earlier but it is a place I am used to hunting around. We'll even be able to catch a few fish, you may want to let the chief know though. Also it will be easier if I use my sheikah slate to get everything back to the village, while you continue on to the domain."
"Okay," Munsezo replied, he watched as Link leapt from the tail and used the para-sail to glide down. With a sharp exhale he followed, he wasn't comfortable with traveling a far distance just for game but if it was a place with a lot of game then it would be worth it. He made his way down and called for the chief. It was a little urgent that they leave early, especially if he wanted to get to the domain with enough time to return. At least he hoped he would be able to return quickly.
"Munsezo?" the chief asked as he joined them. It was odd to see the chief was up so early and not in his roost but then again he must need to be, to supervise those under punishment.
"You're up early," Link mentioned.
"Ah yes, I must be up as early as your mate after all," the chief chided.
"Of course," Link said, rubbing the back of his neck.
"So what brings you both here?" the chief asked, in a tone that reminded them he wasn't amused.
"I am hunting far today, so we are leaving early," Munsezo replied. "I may not return tonight."
"I see, then it must be quite the distance," the chief said. "You will be going with him I take it?"
"Yes and no," Link responded. "I will be going hunting but the second hunt will be on his own."
"Hunting something special then, I won't pry," the chief mentioned. He was glad the other didn't need to know the details. "Take the time you need just be safe, both of you. Revali will never forgive me if you are harmed." The chief was looking pointedly at Link. "I can send another along on your hunt.."
"That's fine I have another way back that I can use," Link spoke up. "I just don't use it unless I absolutely need to. And well I will need to this time."
"Very well, I will see the two of you upon your return," the chief replied, dismissing them. Munsezo offered his back to Link and they set out, he wasn't sure the hylian would be able to handle carrying a lot of game but maybe it would be fine.
"Nysh.." he began to say.
"I will make sure he gets a fair share of what we hunt today," Link replied. "Consider it repayment for when you two helped me." So Link already knew that he hunted for Nysh as well. At least Nysh would be fine today but what of tomorrow? "If you're not back by tomorrow I might take up the chief on his offer of another hunting buddy, I'll even make sure Nysh is covered as well. You may want to try asking King Dorephan about the rare shells or even Mipha.
"But.." Munsezo trailed off uncertain how to put it into words. Surely he couldn't just go up to them and speak with them, they would normally be busy.
"Mipha should be free, she spends a lot of time with her little brother Sidon," Link said suddenly. He hmmed and waited for direction, it wasn't long before Link finally began to give him a good heading and then it was all about flying to where ever they were going. Link occasionally corrected his flight as though eyeing a map as they went but otherwise the flight was silent. It was still pretty early in the day when Link told him to land. They had arrived at some kind of plateau, it had a lake, some ponds and a forest but it didn't really seem too full of prey. "The forest is packed with wild boars and the lake here has a few fish, there are also a few birds or so that nest that way." He looked to see where Link was pointing and easily spotted the birds there were more than a few though. He also spotted a fox and some other smaller creatures, he looked over toward the forest but didn't really see anything beyond trees.
"I will look around the forest," Munsezo said, finally. Link nodded before turning toward the lake, he wasn't sure how the other planned to fish but he was on another mission. He was going to put the tracking skills he had learned to good use, he made for the trees and once beyond, it was clear that Link had not been kidding when he said there was life in the forest. He spotted a few more birds that he shot down and tracks, but not just one or two a whole heap of them. It seemed the creature who made these were either many many legged or they traveled together. Totting the birds he had shot, he followed the trail until he reached a sort of clearing. It was there he found a sounder of wild boars, there were not a whole lot of them maybe about five adults in total. There were three males, two most likely young males and the other their father most likely and two females. There were even a few piglets, he took aim at the males and managed to shoot two in the chaos.
The boars soon made their escape and he made off with his haul, he spent a few more hours in the forest hunting down a couple of lone boars and another sounder that was slightly larger than the last with more adults and no piglets. He then made his way back to the lake where he found Link whom had hauled up a fair amount of fish in the time he had spent tracking and hunting in the forest.
"These should be enough for the day," Link said with a grin. "Here you should take a couple of these fish for the trip. I'm pretty sure I caught too many." He nodded before handing off his haul, it was time to head to the domain.

Link smiled as he handed a fair share of the days hunt to Nysh.
"Whoa," Nysh said. "Did you hunt for the whole winter?" Link laughed a bit at the comment.
"No for the day," Link answered. "We did get a bit much though hmm?"
"Nah Munsezo always did hunt more than most," Nysh replied. "I think he finds hunting fun or something, oh but I like my job too of course, so maybe that's why he hunts extra too. Do you know if he will be back tonight? Not that I'm worried, it's just he usually brings what he hunted here, himself."
"I don't know honestly," Link said, trying not to smile. He wondered if Nysh would worry, or if the other would be surprised when Munsezo finally does return. He would have to check on them later when Munsezo returns, it might be fun to see the other male's reaction.
"I hope he isn't gone too long," Nysh said seemingly worried. "Mean I know he can take care of himself but.. do you know what he left for or where he went?"
"Well not really but I guess it's sort of a special hunt," Link replied.
"Hmm, I see so some kind of elusive beast he wants to find," Nysh replied, clearly missing the mark but the less Nysh knows about Munsezo's intentions the better.
"Something like that," Link replied. Nysh nodded as though he knew something like this could happen.
"I bet he is enjoying his hunt then," Nysh replied. "He always was happier out in the wilds hunting, then in the village. Even when we were hatchlings."
"Oh?" Link asked. "You two grew up together?"
"Well sort of, we grew up in the same well.." Nysh came to a halt in his words. Clearly it was difficult for him to talk about but he wasn't sure why and he wasn't about to pry either. "I don't know if anyone has really told you about um, well how me and Munsezo are so close anyway. He and I grew up in the same nest sort of, after my parents passed that is."
"Oh, I see," Link whispered.
"I was only five at the time and Munsezo was six, I looked up to him a lot," Nysh went on. "Ah but he always treats me like I'm still a hatchling though, preening and all of that. Sorry I'm chattering away and you probably have things to do, let's chat some other time!"
"Yeah, I'll see you around," Link promised, it was all starting to make sense now why Munsezo's relationship with Nysh was stuck. Especially if Nysh thought it was nothing more significant than when they were young. He hoped that Munsezo could get through to Nysh and he also hoped that Nysh would soon understand, the other male's behavior towards him. After all those two deserved to be happy, considering how kind and considerate they were to others.
