...

It was a beautiful, late spring morning in the city of Nekomi, Japan. A pink-haired goddess was occupied the kitchen of the house next to the Tariki Hongan Temple. She stood in front of the stove as she hummed an unnamed song to herself with a smile upon her lips.

In the rear of the older house, a bedroom door slid open as a sleepy Tsukune wiped the sleep from his chocolate-brown eyes. He plodded down the corridor towards the tea room and then had a seat on the floor at the low kotatsu table.

"Good morning, Tsukune," the goddess happily announced as she set a plate of hot food in front of her boyfriend.

"Good morning, Moka," he replied with a smile. She then took her seat to his left, per her daily habit, and then poured each of them a cup of hot green tea.

"Is something wrong?" she asked with concern as Tsukune just stared at his breakfast as if he were deep in thought.

"Oh, no. Nothing's wrong. It's just that... well, all of this still seems so surreal. I never imagined that I'd have a girlfriend like you make me breakfast every morning. And for that I'm very thankful."

"Thank you Tsukune. I still find it hard to believe, myself," she replied with a blush.

"Oh, um, no problem. Itadakimasu!" he said said as he dug into his food.

"How is it?" Moka inquired as she looked on with keen interest.

"It's great as always! Thanks Moka," he said as he continued to enjoy his morning meal. Moka smiled at her mortal boyfriend as she took a sip of her tea.

"Oh, Tsukune I'm so happy to hear that... and you're welcome," she answered with another blush.

"By the way, where's Kyoko?" the mechanic asked his beautiful girlfriend in-between bites.

"Oh, Kyoko left a short while ago for her job and said she won't be home until later on this evening," the deity replied as she took another sip of her tea.

"I see. I'm glad she found a job almost right away."

"Oh crap, it's eight-thirty already?" Tsukune said shortly afterward, as he glanced at the clock which hung on the wall. He then stood up as he gathered his plate, chopsticks, and cup.

"Tsukune, are you heading out now?" Moka asked with a half-worried look across her brow.

"Yeah, I gotta get going as I can't afford to miss my first class today," he said as he stopped, turned around, and faced his girlfriend.

"Would it be alright if I came along, too?" she asked with puppy-dog eyes.

'Oh no! Not the puppy-dog eyes!'

"Huh? Well..." he answered as he briefly gave her odd inquiry some thought.

"You don't want me to come along?" the immortal wondered, somewhat sadly.

"No, that's not it... that's not what I meant," he quickly interjected before she arrived at the wrong conclusion.

"Then you'll let me come along with you today?" Moka inquired with a small smile.

"Uh, sure Moka. Let's head out then," Tsukune replied in mild defeat.

'What's the worse that could happen, right?' he asked himself as the smiling goddess gathered her cup and followed him towards the kitchen.

As the couple left the house once Moka was ready, Tsukune noticed that a package which was stuffed into the mailbox. He removed the plainly-wrapped parcel and examined the front of it.

"Who's it from, Tsukune?" the goddess asked as she gave the package a quick glance herself.

"I'm not sure. There's no return address," he replied as he took a closer look at the odd-shaped box.

"Aren't you curious who it's from, though?" Moka inquired.

"Yeah, but I can always check it out later," he said. He then opened the front door, stepped inside, and placed it on the small table next to the telephone. He then slid and locked the door behind himself.

...

...

As the pair arrived at Nekomi Tech, a tall female dressed in the finest suit money could buy, was approached by numerous, desperate, suitors. She had long, black hair and violet eyes. Her name was Ruby Tojo, Nekomi Tech's self-proclaimed "Queen of the Campus".

"Please Miss Tojo, accept these flowers!"

"Please accept this box of chocolates!" another male begged.

Ruby stopped and gave each of them a once-over as she brushed a few strands of her long, ebony hair behind her right ear.

"Sorry boys, I have a prior engagement with my father. Perhaps next time," she said with a smirk as she went about her business.

"Ruby! I managed to get tickets to that concert you wanted to go to," another one said as he walked up to her from the left. She then took the tickets in hand.

"Oh, how sweet of you," Ruby said with a smile.

"Ruby, please take my heart!"

"No, I was here first!"

The Queen of NIT was soon surrounded on all sides by roughly another dozen admirers. She smiled at them but did her best to somehow to ignore them even though thrived on their attention.

"What's going on over there?" a young woman asked her friend as they both witnessed the scene play out before them about 10 meters away.

"Oh, that's just Ruby Tojo. Her father's the CEO of some big company," her friend replied.

"But she's so gorgeous! How are any of us supposed to compete?" the other girl inquired.

"I know what you mean. There isn't a single girl on campus who stands a chance against Ruby!" the second woman lamented.

"Hey! Check it out! Who's that girl?!" a male asked aloud.

"Yeah, she's so beautiful!" another one said even louder.

All eyes were on the pink-haired goddess as she walked alongside Tsukune. He quickly realized that she was the center of attention which was the last thing he wanted so early in the morning.

"Oh my kami. She's so gorgeous! I must have her number!"

"Who's she with? Isn't that guy in the Motor Club?"

"What does she see in him anyway?"

"Yeah. What does she see in a loser like him anyway?"

"Who's that?" Ruby asked to nobody in particular as she noticed the sudden commotion that was directed away from herself.

"Oh my. I never had any idea it was so lively with so many people around," Moka said to Tsukune who decided to do his best and remain calm, even though it was moderately difficult to do so.

"Yeah, how about that?" he replied somewhat nervously as he scratched the back of his head with his left hand.

'It's not that I mind being seen in public with Moka, but she's so beautiful. Not to mention that she attracts a lot of attention. Well, what can ya' do? She's a goddess, after-all,' Tsukune happily thought to himself as he continued to give her a tour of the campus before his first class began.

"Who is that girl? I've never seen here around before," Ruby asked herself once more as the pair walked toward her general direction.

"Wow, that girl's so hot! She must be mine!"

"No way! I saw her first. I must have her!"

"In your dreams! I saw her first!"

Before Tsukune realized it, Moka and himself were enclosed on all sides with even more men that had just given their undivided attention to Ruby, just mere minutes ago.

"This can't be good," a certain Tsukune Aono said to himself with a sweat-drop.

"Hahaha, well isn't this interesting? Who does she think she is moving into my territory?" Ruby inquired as she observed the incident for herself from afar.

Tsukune then grabbed Moka by her left hand and made a mad dash away from their current predicament. Unfortunately that just made them the center of attention as the majority of the student body had their eyes glued to the couple.

"Ah, this is just great," Tsukune muttered to himself.

"Everyone's acting so strange. I don't know what to make of it. Do you think that something's about to happen to you, Tsukune?" Moka said as she looked to her boyfriend for some sort of explanation. Ever since she had set foot on the college campus, she had undoubtedly been the focus of unwanted attention which undoubtedly bothered her boyfriend to some extent.

"If anything happens, it'll probably be to you," he said as a sense of dread swiftly washed over him.

'We're just taking a walk and there's a whole crowd following us. Who knows how bad this can get?' he thought to himself.

"Aono! How you been holding up, man?" Gin said to him as he attempted to draw his attention away from his current situation. Haji stood next to his associate with his arms folded in front of himself.

"Oh... hey guys! We're doing fine, right Moka?" Tsukune asked with a sweat-drop.

"Oh yes, we're doing just fine, thank you for asking," Moka answered with a bow towards the taller men.

Several other students began murmuring amongst themselves and said numerous embarrassing things which made Tsukune somewhat uncomfortable.

"Hey baby! Drop the loser and come hang out with me!"

"Yo sweet cheeks, what's shaking?"

"How about you come hang out with a real man?"

"Damn it. Not this again," Tsukune said in a low voice.

"Aw, never mind him. We're gonna take you on a campus tour," Gin said as he and Gin led Moka away from Tsukune. The young man in question was not even paying attention as he was suddenly separated from his girlfriend before it was too late.

"Yeah, it'll be fun!" Haji agreed.

"Hey wait for me!" Tsukune protested rather loudly.

"Oh yeah. I just remembered. I have an errand for ya' to run. I need ya' to get something from back at the clubhouse," Gin told Tsukune.

"Aw, can't you just get it yourself?" Tsukune complained.

"On the double! I ain't got all day ya' know," Gin yelled back at the underclassman.

"Yes sir!" Tsukune replied as he stood at attention.

Before Gin could turn around, he was pummeled in the face by a flying soccer ball which tore a hole through a chain-link fence.

* SMACK! *

"Oof!" Gin yelped as he was launched off his feet and then fell to the ground where he promptly collapsed in a heap. Moka stepped back as the ball bounced off his face in the same direction it had originated from.

Tsukune observed what happened as he swiftly ran over to his fallen sempai.

"Hello? Earth to Gin. Anybody home?" Haji asked as she stooped down and inspected his associate whose face was beet red from the harsh impact. He then waved his hand over Gin's face.

"Gin-sempai? Oh no. Don't tell me..." Tsukune said as he looked at Moka who seemed to be just as concerned.

"Yes. It's the System Force," she softly replied.

"So, um.. it's the same thing from before that activates when someone or something's about to forcefully separate us, right?"

"Yes, the very same one," Moka replied.

"You're serious, aren't you?" he wondered. Moka just shook her head yes.

"Oh I get it now. I just hope that it doesn't cause too much trouble."

...

...

Shortly afterward...

Tsukune and Moka were seated between Haji and Gin in a lecture hall. Most of the students in the large classroom had their eyes fixated on the goddess once again. No surprise there, right?

Just then Ruby walked in, still clearly upset from earlier. She then spotted Moka who seemed to be enjoying herself.

"Hm. I'll show her," Ruby said to herself as she walked down the steps.

"You really do learn a lot of things here, don't you?" Moka asked her boyfriend.

"Yeah, aside from the fact that I'm supposed to be in a different class," Tsukune replied with a sigh.

"Hey man, don't worry about it. I'm s'posed to be there too," Gin said to his kouhai.

'Well, the last thing I want is the System Force to kick in again. So I guess I better stay put. Who knows how bad it would be the next time?' Tsukune reminded himself.

"Excuse me. I'm sorry... I hate to bother you, but would you mind moving? That's my seat," Ruby said to the Goddess, with a fake smile up on her lips.

"Oh really? I had no idea," Moka answered.

"But nobody said anything to us about assigned seats," Tsukune commented. "Okay then. I can sit on the other side," he added as he stood halfway up before he was interrupted.

"Hold on," Ruby said.

"Huh?" Tsukune asked in confusion.

"I'm talking to her, not you," Ruby said as she pointed to Moka with an accusing glare.

'Hahaha, if you give up your seat, then you'll be admitting defeat. But if you refuse to, everyone will think you're a little freak. So you see, either way, I win,' the campus Queen silently thought to herself.

"Oh, perhaps you're right. In that case I have an idea," Moka said with a compelling smile.

...

"Are you sure about this?" Ruby asked as she was then seated in-between Moka and Tsukune. That's correct. RIGHT IN THE CENTER.

"Oh yes. There's no problem, is there?" the goddess said with another smile.

"Hm, I underestimated her. Not only did she figure out how to get out of this situation without tarnishing her reputation, but she also managed to slip in a sarcastic remark as well,' Ruby told herself, just as the professor walked into the lecture hall. The older gentleman walked up to his desk and then set his books down as he took a good look at his class.

"It would seem that we have a full house today. You there, in the middle – with the pink hair... I don't think I've seen you in class before. What's your name?" the professor said as she focused his attention on the goddess.

"Oh, yes sir. My name is Moka and it's very nice to meet you," she answered with a friendly smile.

"Moka? What an unusual name," the professor commented with a quirked eyebrow.

Tsukune sensed impending doom so he quickly jumped to his feet without thinking.

"Ah! She's a new exchange student and so you see, she doesn't know the language very well yet... right? Right?" Tsukune said to his fellow students for moral support.

"Absolutely!" everyone replied in unison without missing a beat.

"Hmm, well everyone seems to be in agreement about that. Now then, let's get started with today's lesson," the professor said as he turned towards the blackboard and began to write on it with a piece of chalk.

'Oh man – that was a close one,' Tsukune thought.

He then sighed a sigh of relief and was thankful to leave that moment behind. Moka smiled at him as she watched her immediate surroundings.

'So that's her story, huh? This should be a piece of cake. Just you wait, missy. You'll never take away the title of Queen of the Campus away from me,' Ruby thought to herself as the instructor went on with his lesson plan.

...

...

Shortly after the end of the lecture, Moka and Tsukune were seated at a picnic table outside to pass the time until the next class. Moka knelt down as a black and white cat rubbed up against her.

"That cat pretty much owns the school," Tsukune said as Moka pet the cat's head.

"Really? How could that be possible?" Moka said, unsure of her boyfriend's rather odd statement.

"Me-ow" the cat cried.

"Hm. What was that?" Moka asked as she petted the cat again.

"Meow."

"Oh, you don't say" the goddess answered.

Both Tsukune and Moka laughed as the furry feline continued to rub up against the goddess' legs. Unknown to the pair, they were being watched by someone.

"Is she a friend of yours?" an elderly man in a white, pinstriped suit asked as he walked up to the pair.

"Oh yes. This is Moka. She's a new exchange student," Tsukune said with a sweat-drop.

"Ah, Moka," the older man repeated as he gave the young woman a once-over.

"Hello sir. It's nice to make your acquaintance," she said with a small smile.

"Ah, yes. Thank you" he replied.

"Hey Aono! Bad news, man!" Haji yelled as he ran up to the duo. Tsukune then turned to his left and saw his sempai who seemed to be out of breath.

"Crap! That's the Dean!" Haji said once he realized who the older man was.

"You're the Dean?!" Tsukune asked in a mild panic since he had never actually met the man before.

"Hey man, you gotta come with me right now," Haji said as he grabbed Tsukune and dragged him away from that rather awkward meeting.

"Ow! Hey! What do you think you're doing?" Tsukune inquired as his sempai pulled him down the sidewalk.

"Tsukune! Wait for me!" Moka said as she followed after her boyfriend. She quickly bowed towards the Dean, muttered a quick "Please excuse us," then gave chase. He raised an eyebrow and wondered to himself why they ran away so fast.

Two minutes later inside the registration building; Tsukune, Moka, Gin, and Haji were inside a roomful of computers.

"Alright. What's the big deal? What's going on, sempai?" Tsukune asked his upperclassmen.

"It's Professor Osawa. He heard about Moka and now he's doing a background check on her," Haji explained while Tsukune took a seat on an office chair.

"What?!" Tsukune exclaimed.

"Professor Osawa has always had that rivalry with Professor Katata. And he heard some B.S. rumor about a fake exchange student boosting attendance in Kataka's lectures! So he got suspicious and now he's checking the database," Haji continued.

"You can't be serious! So what are supposed to do now?" Tsukune asked.

"We already got that much figured out. You're gonna hack into the student database wit' that computer behind ya'," Gin answered.

"Eh? Wouldn't that be bad?" Tsukune complained while Moka looked on, worry clearly evident on her features.

"Who cares? Just hurry up and log onto the server. The password's right up there on the monitor. See?" Haji said as he turned Tsukune around and faced him towards the computer in question.

Tsukune then began typing away in the keyboard. He waited a moment for the server to process his log on.

Error. Incorrect password. Please try again...

"Huh. It looks like they changed the password," Tsukune said as he typed once more.

"What the hell? I don't believe they changed the damn password!" Haji cursed.

"Aono! You will crack the password!" Gin cheered on.

"It's a lot easier said than done, sempai," Tsukune said as he tried another password.

"Come on Aono. You can do it!" Haji said.

"Yeah, man. Our reputation is at stake here!"

Moka looked on with heartfelt concern.

"That's not right either. No, that's not it... maybe this... no, that's not it..." Tsukune said as he continued typing on the keyboard.

"I shall help you. To those forces that stand in our way... I ask of you to stand down now. Provide us the key that will open that door," Moka silently spoke as a faint blue, ball of light passed from her hands into the data processor itself.

"Huh? Whoa! There's the password. Alright, we're in!" Tsukune said with a grin.

"Alright man, way to go. Now ya' gotta make a file for her," Haji said with a renewed sense of pride.

"Hey Moka? Do you have a last name?" Tsukune asked as the goddess stood next to him.

"No, I do not," she quietly replied.

"Um, well... I gotta fill it out with something... what's your mother's first name?"

"Oh, her name is Akasha," the goddess answered.

"I'll just use her name as a starting point as I can't leave it blank," Tsukune explained.

...

...

"Ah ha! Just as I thought. There haven't been any new exchange students lately," Professor Osawa said as he re-checked the student database at another office computer, located on the opposite side of the huge building. Ruby stood behind the elder man with her arms crossed under her chest.

"Wait a minute. Moka Akashiya? What is this? She really is an exchange student?" he asked aloud as he saw for himself Moka's student information, complete with a recent photo.

"Impossible! I don't believe it!" Osawa said as he stood up from the desk and walked over to the hard copy books that also contained information on every student at Nekomi Tech.

"I don't buy it! I'm going to get to the bottom of this!" he yelled to nobody in particular.

...

"That guy doesn't give up, does he?" Haji asked as the quartet watched him through the glass door.

"Well, we gotta figure out our next move!" Gin said to his cohorts. Tsukune just sighed once again. No use in fighting it, right?

"You're all going through so much trouble for me... perhaps it would be best if we just stopped here," Moka said.

"That's outta the question. No way. Since it's come this far, it's our sworn duty to protect ya!" Gin replied with a revived sense of intent.

"That's right Gin!" Haji agreed.

"I don't think this is about duty... I think it's more about you guys fighting the man," Tsukune commented with another sigh. It was nice of them to help out, but Moka had a good point. They were going too far and the goddess was not sure if she wanted to attend the school yet, or not.

"Arrrghh... What the heck? Why can't I open these books?" Professor Osawa asked in desperation as the record books seemed to be sealed shut, while Haji hid behind a desk with a half-empty bottle of super glue.

A few minutes later a bookshelf came crashing down which scattered books everywhere, all with thanks to Gin.

"Ahhngh! I will not be beaten!" Osawa yelped as he tried to make sense of the mess before him.

"Ah! Damn it! What the hell's going on here?" he asked as all his paperwork was quickly scattered about the office as a large fan blew a powerful gust of air in, from the outside.

"Professor Osawa must be expelling that girl right about now. Huh?" Ruby said to herself as she walked up to the administration building to check on the teacher who had a task at hand.

"Is it really alright for them to do that?" Moka asked her boyfriend as they walked out of the office building, just as Ruby approached the front door from the far left.

"Well, uh, it would be nice for us to go to class everyday," Tsukune said as he scratched the back of his neck out of nervous habit.

"Oh, well since you put it that way..." Moka said as the walked back towards the main campus.

"What? No way," Ruby said as she pushed open the glass door and then walked inside the building that Tsukune and Moka had just left a moment ago.

"Ah... forget it. I give up," Professor Osawa said in defeat as he laid his head down on a pile of papers with a glazed look in his eyes.

'I don't believe it. Who knew that Moka girl would go to such lengths? Fine. If that's the case then I guess I have to take you on in person,' Ruby said as she saw that the teacher was no longer of any use, turned around with a plan in mind.

"Since junior high school I've been known as the Queen. You pushed me too far. It's time that I show you the full-extent of my wrath," Ruby said as she clenched her fists with a slight smirk.

...

Once that ordeal was pretty much over with, the couple decided to take a short break until the next class, if they ever made it there, that is.

"Meow..." the black and white cat from earlier said to the goddess.

"Really? You don't say," she replied as she sat on the soft grass. Tsukune laid down with his hands folded behind his head. He had his eyes closed as well as he went over the events of the day so far.

'I wonder what's going on with Ruby?' Tsukune thought to himself while Moka continued her conversation with the friendly cat.

''I'm sorry. But no thanks. Going to museums is for old, boring people,' Tsukune remembered what she had said to him shortly after the start of the school year.

"Is something on your mind, Tsukune?" Moka said with concern as she could tell that he was deep in thought or so she believed. He then sat up and looked at her with a small smile.

"Ahhh... it wasn't anything that important, really" he replied.

"You were just remembering something that made you sad, right?" the goddess asked as she reached over to him and held his hand in her own.

"Mm, yeah," he admitted as he returned the simple act of affection.

"Do not worry. For those who are well-acquainted with grief – they are souls who will find great happiness," Moka said with a warm smile.

"Thanks Moka."

'She's so sweet, kind, and caring – not to mention very beautiful. I'm really lucky to have her in my life,' the mortal thought to himself.

"You're welcome, Tsukune. I shall always be here for you," she said with another smile.

"My oh my. So much has happened today and I didn't think that I'd find you here of all places," Ruby said as she walked up to the pair.

"Ruby?" Tsukune said in mild shock.

"You know, Professor Osawa's been looking for you. If I were you, I'd go see him right away," Ruby said to Moka. The goddess then sat up from the grass. The couple did not take notice that they were not exactly alone, though.

"Of course. Well then, I shall be back shortly," Moka replied.

"Why don't I go with you?" Tsukune asked as he quickly sat up.

"Wait a minute. There's something that I'd like to talk to you about, if it's okay with you," Ruby said as she walked over to Tsukune. Moka looked on to the other woman with mild anxiety, naturally.

"Huh?" Tsukune replied, somewhat perplexed.

"You don't have to worry Tsukune. I'll be just fine and will return shortly," Moka answered to her boyfriend. She then smiled, turned around, and walked back towards the main campus.

Once Moka had her back turned, Ruby came nose-to-nose with Tsukune. He was taken back by her sudden closeness and felt quite nervous at the same time.

"Say, Tsukune... I know it may seem strange of me to ask this, but I must know: are you going out with her?" Ruby asked with doe eyes.

"Well, yeah... she's – my girlfriend," he answered honestly.

"So you don't like me, do you?" she said.

"Well, you don't remember do ya'? I um, asked you about out six months ago – and you totally rejected me..." he said as the painful memory bubbled to the surface.

"I did? Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't know how – nice you were back then. I feel so awful about that. Would it be alright if I made it up to you?" Ruby said as she came closer to the young mechanic. He then realized that he was backed up against the wall, literally.

'No man can resist this tactic. I'll have her leaving him soon enough and then him eating out of the palm of my hand. I'm gonna humiliate her so badly, that she'll never be able to show her face on campus ever again!' Ruby thought.

* SPLOOOOOOOOOSSSHHHH *

Tsukune stepped aside just in time as a bucket of dirty mop water rained down on the self-proclaimed Queen of NIT. Ruby wondered to herself what had happened and why to her of all people?

"Sorry! I didn't know anybody was down there!" a man called from an open window, three floors up in the building that was behind them.

'I had a feeling that the System Force was gonna kick in sooner or later. I kinda feel bad for her but she had it coming, I guess,' Tsukune thought to himself.

"Here, have some tea," the Dean of NIT said to Moka as he set a small ceramic cup for her on the table in front of her. Professor Osawa was laid out on a couch across from Moka and the Dean, clearly still out of it.

"Oh thank you very much," the pink-haired goddess replied with a smile.

"I was hoping that I'd have a moment to talk to you. So tell me, what are your impressions so far of our fine school?" the Dean asked Moka, who sat on his right-hand side.

"Well, I'm sensing a wide variety of emotions, but I'm enjoying myself so far. And I also met a sweet, little cat," she answered with a bright smile.

"Oh, that's good to hear," the dean said.

...

"Hey, Ruby – are you gonna be okay?" Tsukune asked, as he handed a clean handkerchief to Ruby who was drenched from head to foot.

"Oh, thank you. You know, you're the sweetest guy," Ruby said with a weak smile as she took his hands in hers.

"Uh, I don't think you should do that," Tsukune suggested as he attempted to pull away from her.

"But why not?" she asked a she fluttered her eyes.

"Because – uh – "

"Grrrrrrr..." a large, brown dog growled. Ruby looked behind her as the huge canine eyed her as if she were his toy.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!" the heiress screamed. She then ran away as fast as her feet would carry her as the dog gave chase, in hopes that he would actually be able to catch her.

Tsukune then sighed heavily, once again. He wondered when his strange day would be over with since he never actually made it to any of his classes.

Ruby ran for about 50 meters before she ducked behind a long hedge as the dog ran past her, who barked the entire time.

"How did things end up like this?" Ruby asked herself.

...

"Excuse me. I looked everywhere but Professor Osawa was not in his office," Moka said as she walked up to Ruby, who was still drenched.

"Oh yeah? So what? Are you trying to imply that I'm a liar?" Ruby asked with a huff.

"Oh no, that's not what I meant, it's just that -" Moka said before she was interrupted.

"For Kami's sake! Would you give it a rest already? You might as well. He's not around."

"Hm?" Moka replied as she tilted her head to the right, unsure of what the woman in front of her meant by her mini rant.

"You're probably really pissed that I made a pass at your boyfriend," Ruby stated.

"I'm sorry. I don't quite understand. Are you perhaps angry?" the goddess inquired.

"No! You should be!" Ruby half-yelled.

"I apologize once again. I don't know what you're trying to say," Moka said in confusion.

"Ugh. You are so annoying. Just who the hell are you anyway? You show up at the school, out of the blue..." Ruby said in a rough tone.

"Oh well you see, I'm a Goddess."

"Ah... uh... you're unbelievable. Ha, well you may be a goddess, but I'll have you know that I'm a queen and I won't lose to the likes of you," Ruby told Moka, as she placed her right hand on her hip.

"Oh I see. Of which country?"

"Oh! Never mind! I'm gonna win over that boyfriend of yours and let you drown in your own tears! You'll see!" the self-proclaimed Queen of Nekomi said as she pointed an accusing finger at the goddess.

"I would not attempt that if I were you. Whatever misfortune you happen upon will be of your own doing for not heeding my words. Besides, you do not have a chance of ever beating me," Moka replied with a serious tone.

"Are you threatening me? Was all of that your doing?" Ruby asked as she looked once again at her soaked suit and silk blouse which was completely ruined.

"Oh heavens no. I am merely stating a fact that there are forces at work here that you would not be able to comprehend," Moka replied as Ruby stepped back a few paces.

"I get it now. You must be a Witch, right?" Ruby asked as a sense of fear overcame her.

"No. Like I said, I am a Goddess," Moka said as Ruby turned around and stomped away.

...

A few minutes later, Moka met up with Tsukune. The couple mutually decided to head back home since they had a rather busy yet interesting day.

"Geez... we had a pretty tough day, haven't we?" Tsukune asked Moka as they walked back towards the parking-lot where his motorcycle was located.

"We have? I rather enjoyed myself," Moka happily replied.

"Hey Tsukune, get in," Ruby said a few moments later as she pulled up alongside the pair in her yellow Ferrari, as they neared his motorbike.

"Uh... if it's all the same to you Ruby, I'll have to decline and say no thanks" he nervously replied as he went over the events of the day. He had no idea what would happen if he were forcibly separated from Moka again – he promptly realized that it would be far worse than earlier.

"I said get in!" Ruby shouted.

"He said no thank you. Don't you have somewhere else that you need to be?" Moka said in a commanding voice. Without saying a word, Ruby stepped into her sports car, closed the driver's side door, placed the gears in drive, and then quickly left the couple to themselves.

"Um, Moka... was that... did you do that?" he sheepishly asked as Ruby's car practically flew out of the large parking lot.

"Yes Tsukune. Was it wrong for me to do so? You're not upset are you?" she inquired with a small frown.

"Well no, um, but I guess it's better than the System Force going crazy again, so thanks," he said with a nervous laugh.

"Oh thank you Tsukune. And it was my pleasure," she said as she quickly grabbed his right hand.

"Hey Moka? Is something on your mind?"

"Actually, there is. It's about that woman Ruby. I know that she's really not a bad person, but she was the one whom you were thinking about before, right? The one who hurt you."

"* sigh * Yeah. I asked her out on a date several months ago and she totally rejected me. I'm sorry. I should have told you about her earlier, but I was afraid you'd be upset," he said as she hung his head in a shameful manner.

"Oh Tsukune. Remember what I told you before? You have nothing to apologize for. She was the one who hurt you, so it's not your fault. Besides, I have no reason to be upset. She does not know you in the way that I have learned about you. Furthermore, she has no idea that you're the sweetest and kindest man who always does his best. "

The Goddess then took a deep breath as she continued:

"There is no reason for you to hide anything from me, Tsukune. I know you've been through so much and I want to make all of that pain go away. As your girlfriend, it's my job to make sure you're always happy and smiling everyday, okay? Even though the reason why I'm here is because of our contract, I have grown to care about you a great deal," she said as she gave him a soft kiss on his left cheek.

"Thanks Moka. I care about you as well. I guess I just needed to hear that. I'll do my best to remember that," he said with a light blush.

"You're welcome, Tsukune. I'm always going to be here for you if you ever want to talk when something's bothering you," Moka said as she climbed into the motorcycle's side-car, placed her helmet on her head, and then fastened the buckle closed. Tsukune repeated the action as he sat on the long, leather seat, put the key into the ignition, and then started the engine up.

After he placed the gears in drive, he then pulled out of the parking lot and headed towards home with his wonderful girlfriend, Moka.

Tsukune knew that the goddess had a point; however, he had a difficult time letting go of his painful past. But he also realized that Moka would do her best to mend his fractured heart. And for that, he was rather grateful for.

Author's Note:

I hope everyone enjoyed this chapter even though it basically followed episode 4 of the first season of the anime, word for word. Just so you know, I do not hate Ruby.

I just think that she fits the "look" of Sayoko Mishima, who is the Queen of NIT in the AMG manga and anime. She won't be as snooty as Sayoko in Ah! My Goddess but she will still chase after Tsukune from time-to-time.

Next chapter will be out as usual. Please feel free to "Follow" this story for updates if you'd like. I also welcome and appreciate any and all feedback, reviews, comments, and suggestions for future chapters as well. Thanks for the support! :)
