Hello all. I would like to thank MaddyR, Guest, SummerMistedDragon, Little Cinch and darkeyesgirl for the wonderful reviews. I would also like to thank those of you who have followed and favoured since my last update.
So I know this is a short chapter and it's kind of a filler, I still hope you like it.
Disclaimer: I don't own Supernatural.
Dean lay on his bed blinking, feeling a little strange. With a shrug he sat up and turned to find that Sam was still staring down at the bed. At that he jumped up and turned round only to see he body lying where his spirit left it.
"Well that isn't creepy at all." He muttered, though in truth it wasn't the first time he had done this so…
"Hello Dean." With that he turned to find Tessa standing next to him. Well he guessed that made sense, but he thought Gabriel was going with him.
"hey Tessa, where Gabe?" He asked though looking round he found the answer to that question the other side of his bed leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.
"Ready to go Dean-o?" Gabriel asked pushing himself away from the wall and making Sam turn to him then look around the room.
"Where's Dean?" He asked, because he couldn't see him.
"He's right there Sam. good luck Dean. We'll be here when you return and I promise to look after Sam for you." Castiel said from his position next to the younger Winchester and at his words he took Sam's hand in his making the humans eyes widen, because did the fledgling just say he would look after him? Really?
"Thanks buddy, I'll see you when we get back." Dean replied with a genuine smile for the fledgling. In some ways he was going to miss this Cas but, this wasn't the real Cas. With that thought Dean felt a tug of his spirit. Turning to Tessa and Gabriel he saw them both smiling at him and the reaper held out her hand, her other already clasped tight by the archangel.
"The feeling will guide you to the entrance of heaven." She said. With a shrug and a cheeky grin to hide his uncertainty at her words, cos really why in the hell would he be going to heaven? He took her hand and the bunker disappeared from around them.
The place they went to was in the middle of nowhere, from what Dean could see anyway. There were trees around but that was about it. Turning to Gabe and Tessa he was about to ask what now when something shimmered out of the corner of his eye. Turning to it he saw a sort of distortion in the air, it seemed to hum and call him forth. It was kinda beautiful, in a strange, unearthly way.
"What is it Dean-o, what do you see?" Gabriel asked from next to him, and looking round Dean found that Tessa had left. It was just him and the archangel now.
"I'm not sure, it's a… shimmer in the air, some sort of doorway I would say at a guess?" He replied turning back to the shimming air.
"That's the entrance the heaven Dean-o. So lead the way." Gabriel replied but not before he grabbed Dean's arm. Dean looked down at that then up a Gabriel with a confused look at why the archangel was clinging to him like a teenage girl.
"What? I need physical contact with your spirit to use you to get into heaven." Gabriel said with a roll his eyes at Dean who just shook his head. He then turned, and pulling the archangel with him, walked through the shimming doorway and onto the road that would lead to his heaven. As soon as they were through Dean shook of Gabriel's hand and looked around.
"Now what?" He asked the archangel, cos he had no idea where the spell was. He felt nothing.
"Now we walk Dean-o. The spell will pull you to it." Gabriel replied with a shrug and with that the hunter and archangel set off down the road in heaven.
It had been hours and Sam and Cas were still sat just looking at a dead body. Sam wondered how long he should wait before presuming that the plan hadn't worked.
"They will take a while Sam. heaven is a large place." Said the fledging next to him in answer to the unasked question.
"Yeah I guess." Sam replied returning to waiting in silence for his brother's return.
In the library Hannah was looking over the books that littered the table, noticing that most of them had to do with angel law. Looking at one she frowned down at it as she read.
"What is it?" Kevin asked from the other side of the table. He had decided that Dean would probably not appreciate it if he left an unknown angel alone in the bunker.
"This is wrong." Hannah replied with a shake of her head looking at the law. Where on earth did the humans get there information?
"Well why don't you write down the corrections?" Kevin suggested. It would give her something to do.
"Very well." Hannah nodded and with that she sat down and pulled one of Cas' unused bits of paper to her and a colouring pencil she started to write. And Kevin just watched her in amazement. She was writing law that would end up in the men of letters archives in colouring pencil. With a shake of his head at the craziness of angels he went back to reading the physics textbook he had found. He would let Sam and Dean deal with that when they came back. At least she was occupied for the time being.
