Chapter 2: A new Civilization
The animals would undergo mutations as time went on following the storm. 5,000 thousand years later a generation would evolve. The animals had qualities of an Edenian citizen, speaking their language, walking on their hind legs, and grew a diet. Mammals that preferred plants would continue to eat it while the mammals that had predatory instincts would slowly shift their meals on insects and the fish from the sea connecting to the waterfalls of the forest. The animals would grow intelligent and create housing eventually a small village. The smartest of them was Apalla a reddish-brown cougar who wore a blue cape, like her fellow kin she would also walk on hinds. Apalla knew she and the others were different somehow, it was made evident when she found the ship she was once on.
Apalla: How strange, I have never seen this ship before but I'm getting a sense of déjà vu standing near it.
She then got inside the ship, she went deeper, finding all sorts of books, strangely enough she grasped the knowledge of the information. She could even make out the words that appeared on a brown book.
Apalla (reading): Stuuu dyyy offff meediiciinnee, Bottanny reemmeddieess, Edenian Ecoology, study of Edenian history, study of cell theory, government foundations of Edenia?
She read each book for a few hours and came to a realization that she could teach the others. She took it upon herself to spread the word, perhaps to help build this forest into a society. Offer peace and freedom for all its inhabitants who desperately needed a order in their village.
Making her way back to the small village, she made an announcement.
Apalla: Everyone please I have an announcement, we all need to find peace in this turmoil, I understand there is instability, we have lost some of our own recently.
This caused great sadness to a young zebra named Zebron who recently lost his mom, Zebrella to the very disease Apalla mentioned. The dad, Zebrak then comforted his son who was also mourning his lost love.
Zebrak: Don't worry Zebron, let's listen to what Apalla is saying.
Apalla realized Zebron's sadness and approached him.
Apalla: My sincere condolences, Zebron, I did not mean to upset you, I miss your mom as well. she had strong determination and has inspired me to figure out what we can do to resolve our issues. Most importantly she was my best friend, I want to fix the issues we all are facing right now.
Zebron: What do you mean?
Apalla (with great confidence): I believe we can overcome our fears and struggles, I have found something that can help us.
Apalla shows the books and explains in detail what each book was about.
The inhabitants had mixed responses, most notably Zebrak who spoke negatively.
Zebrak: Why now, my son and I just lost my wife, whatever nonsense you speak of will not bring back my wife or any of the loved ones you speak of.
Just then a black, slender Panther named Cerveras approached the group of animals having finished building another home for a turtle family.
Cerveras: Let her speak, I understand your struggles Zebrak but we need to come together let Apalla speak so we may better resolve our struggles.
Apalla smiled at Cerveras, Cerveras smiled back at her, she was so happy when Cerveras, the strongest and most helpful individual of the village advocated for her prepositions.
Apalla: Thank you Cerveras, I greatly appreciate your support!
Cerveras: It is my pleasure, we all are on edge and this is a risky step for us all to take in (motioning Zebrak to join the center of the announcement). We all need to listen to one another.
Zebrak: You are right, I'm sorry Apalla, I want to believe you but I'm worried for others, Taos' brother has the same disease as my wife, Zebrella, I don't want him to suffer just like I did.
Suddenly a blue peacock known as Taos approached the meeting.
Taos: It's true my brother does not have much time.
Cerveras: Go with your brother, Apalla, Zebrak, and I will find out what to do.
Zebrak took Zebron to his best friend a panda named Tian to watch him while he is gone.
Tian: Understood, go ahead there isn't much time.
Zebron: Good luck Dad!
The animals all dispersed after the announcement as it was getting dark out.
Cerveras was most helpful in nighttime, he had stronger eyesight than most of the citizens, with Apalla's intelligence and Zebrak's speed they should find the ingredients to make the herb for Tao's brother Ethos.
Apalla: From what I read and based on what Zebrella was infected with we need an Eve Rose, pink in color, Purpurea gloves, they are bell shaped, green in color with purple petals, honey from the Adam tree, and a jar of river water from the waterfall.
Cerveras and Zebrak were confused with the plant names.
Zebrak: I will get the water.
Cerveras: Some of these plants are high up, luckily I have called for help.
Whistling an eagle call, an eagle couple known as Thorren and Sifline appeared in an instant.
Thorren: You called?
Sifline: Make it quick I need to get dinner for my kids.
Cerveras: No need to worry, we need your help.
Apalla: There is honey at the highest top of the tallest tree called Adam, we need it along with Purpurea gloves, bell shaped in size, grab two.
Thorren: Race you to the top.
Sifline (Laughing): Not if I get there first.
Thorren and Sifline flew to the top of Adam's tree, Sifline won naturally since she needed the bugs from the tree for her kids.
Thorren: I got the Gloves.
Sifline: And I got the hive, let's bring this to Apalla.
The eagle couple and Zebrak met up as Apalla approached the group.
Apalla: Well done you guys, now we just need the Eve rose, Cerveras is on the hunt for one.
Cerveras trekked through the forest in the night, it was peaceful yet quiet, the moon shining in the night sky, and the stars twinkling in the sky. He could not admire the night sky at the moment since he needed that rose. Leaping in the air crossing the cliffs of the forest he finally found the rose.
Cerveras met up with everyone, seeing them all as his friends, and locking eyes with Apalla.
Apalla: Great job everyone! I want to thank you all for your help, especially you Sifline.
Sifline: It's been difficult to see each other lately since Freline and Anthron were born, but I would love to see you again soon, under better circumstances.
Apalla: Of course, we got it from here you and Thorren should go.
Both eagles said goodbye as they departed for their home.
The trio made their way to Taos' home to prepare the remedy, they cooked it and gave it to Ethos, soon he was recovering and gaining consciousness.
A few days later, this convinced the rest of the Citizens that Apalla would indeed resolve their problems. Apalla decided to begin teaching the citizens and with Cerveras' help they created the first school for the village. Within one year the village adapted to a new way of life, creating currency out of rocks, twigs, and shells. The Citizens continued to thrive as the village expanded creating all sorts of buildings for medicine, clothing, as well as more housing. It was then Apalla and Cerveras set up a meeting to discuss the possible name for their village.
Apalla: Before we begin a new era in our lives, I would like to thank everyone for their support. In this meeting we need name this village, something that represents us all.
Cerveras: What do you have in mind Apalla?
Apalla: How about Eukaryona, in one of the books I read, we are all composed of small units called cells, there are two main types of cells Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic cells. We have eukaryotic cells since we have complex features that define who we are. The cells have defining functions that make up our appearance and abilities. We should all function as one to make this village into a kingdom and better ourselves and families free of suffering and an era of peace.
The village now kingdom cheered as they were eager to begin. Only one problem was pointed out by Titian the turtle, known as the wisest.
Titian: I have read the books myself lately, I need to ask, who will run the kingdom if that is your end goal?
